Near the A15 highway, this contemporary hotel is 6 km from ReyerParc sports and recreation center, 7 km from Feyenoord Stadium and 12 km from Rotterdam.Modern, vibrant rooms and suites feature free Wi-Fi, minifridges and TVs. Upgrades add whirlpool tubs, and some suites offer separate living areas, tea and coffeemaking facilities, and minibars.Free perks include parking and breakfast. There's a bar and restaurant with a live cooking buffet and a terrace, plus an afternoon tea and wine/appetizer service. Other amenities include an electric car charging station, as well as bike rental and storage.
Staff doesnt look eager to help, food is good even though they have difficulties with small changes to standard orders.
I only attended a post cremation wake here, so I cant rate the accommodation per se, but if the reception area, communal areas and function spaces are anything to go by, then I suspect the rooms are also stylish, contemporary and classy.
Very nice hotel with good restaurant along the highway. Surprisingly positive impression
Room was nice but the service wasn’t, was ignored loads, missing tablet ended up having to order a delivery for dinner. …. They did call back later and apologise.
Great service, great restaurant and a breakfast with a large selection!
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable location to explore Rotterdam.
Nice modern hotel. Large rooms with a bath and a separate shower. Clean. Wide variety breakfast buffet. Good location to visit Rotterdam by train.
Very good hotel but the location doesnt work for me as its out of thr city with easy access if you have a car. If you dont have a car its difficult. The rooms are very nice and modern.
Restaurant is not what you would expect from a typical van der Valk
After a long time waiting in the entrance of the restaurant.....Where I asked if it was possible to eat at 7.30pm they told me to wait till 8.15 (fine by me they are full thats Normal Im gonna waitand then they send me to the bar for the dinner....(were I could eat at 7.30others people still continue to enter to restaurant. So bad because the rooms are perfect but that!!!! ... Lucky me the barman was very friendly
Nice hotel with excellent breakfast and good restaurant for evening meals. Electric car chargers available but poor supervision of them being blocked by ICE vehicles. No numberplates taken so they cant even find who is responsible.
Very young and uninspired staff that needs to learn a lot...
The place is very nice but the service in the restaurant takes way too long even in the bar more than 1 hour to get a drink. Now just think about the food. Apart from that the hotel is very secure and nice. Breakfast is a buffet style eat all you can. The hotel is more of a business type which was good for me but of you are planning a vacation, this one wont be appropriate not at all. Far from everything.
Nice and clean room, great service and great breakfast
Super cleanSuper largeSuper niceGood foodGood serviceAnd the breakfast starts at 6amGreat place to stay
We stopped there for lunch. Good food and serviceminded staff.
Good hotel. Room was a bit cold cx it was too big for the heating it have but not bad.Food wise a Halal food option would get a 5 star from me. Should have printed menu in English as Language makes it harder.Overall a good place for sure.
Restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Food was very good. Employees are kind and good with children.
Friendy staff, nice ambiance, good food. A few weeks ago I had the spicy chicken on brioche bread for lunch. Delicious! Had a doggie bag to take the left overs.More recently dined with 24 people. Again very good service, friendly staff and good food. As a dessert I absolutely recommend the Freak Sorbet.
Love this Hotel, rooms are very nice, breakfast is very good. Looks nice ,and modern . Stuff very professional, specially in Restoran, top level waiters...
Fantastic location for a lunch outside the city. Fancy and with good menu choice, still affordable.
Service is good but food is really poor. Ceviche and steak tartare were worse ever. Why they offer them if they do not know how to prepare it? I am really surprised that so many people goes there
We had an afternoon celebration in de bar which was really great, great snack and service. After that a dinner in the restaurant which was really good as well. This all for a really affordable price.
Excellent x-mas buffet and executive suite. Very polite and friendly staff. Our stay was a real treat.
Good place. Nice tidy clean rooms nd facility. The restaurant serves great food. Loved the food. The restaurant is quite busy in the evening.
Very good location for a business meeting. Will easily accommodate up to 150 persons in a group. Has a large room for main sessions and smaller rooms for sub-sessions. Great van der Valk lunch with just about anything you want to eat and drink. Recommended!
It was good. Personnel is excellent, food is kinda dry and boring . Hotel and restaurant itself looks great. I would easily tell friends to stay here. Thumbs up
Very easy to find, right next to highway A15/A16 crossroads(exit #20). Big free parking. Friendly reception employees. Only went to restaurant part for meeting, this went well. Cosy, informal, good for meetings. Good coffee also!
Large clean rooms, complimentary mini bar. Friendly staff. Location is a bit isolated if you havent got a car.
Lively hotel, very good food you must try the restaurant. The rooms are very clean, have everything you require and are a very good size. Im going back in a couple of weeks and will continue returning when I am in that area. I loved it.
The hotel is very convenient for business, the location is over the motorway. Is very clean and practical. The food in the restaurant was good and the service was good.
Centrally located between main roads in Rotterdam area. Easy accessible, sufficient on site parking.Great facilities for meetings: rooms (preferably reservedand cafe /seating area at the reception.
Hotel is very good. Reception staff friendly and cooperative. Rooms are neat and tidy. Thats why I give five stars.
Nice place. Rooms are comfortable. The quality of buffet breakfast is really good, with fresh natural juices and hot options like omelette prepared at demand. Also the restaurant is nice and customer service impeccable. Just the surroundings are not very beautiful for a walk.
Nice rooms woth big bathroom. Breakfast is top grade. And Dinner was very good. Free parking and close to the highway.
Friendly, professional, clean, modern and cozy. A VERY nice place to stay, with good food. I highly recommend this hotel.
Why anyone would go to eat here voluntarily is beyond me.I have never had a high opinion of Van der Valk and I never will. Its a buffed-up McDonalds and nothing more.Whats so bad about it? Well, dont get me started. The restaurant hall is large and very noisy. The Live Cooking is everything but Live. In fact, its extremely dead. Leaving a couple of steaks to simmer in a pan, under a heat lamp, is a crime against humanity. The hall were we were seated (family thingwas way to small, uninspiring and smelled of methylated spirits - for keeping the food warm in those awful aluminium serving trays. The food itself - well, well get to that.First off, the waiter (one of twoDID NOT KNOW WHAT BEER THEY SERVE. "What would you like to drink, sir? / I dont know, what do you serve? / Well, sir, we have house lager... / What brand? / Eh, Im not certain... / Any bottled beers? / Oh, I dont know, sir, let me see. And then the boy brings me some lager I didnt really want. Secondly, a booking was made nor a certain amount of people and we were short two chairs. So we had to bunch up to make room. Thirdly, like I said, methylated spirit smell. The food. Oh, the food. For starters, some mushy fish salads, a tray of carpaccio and a single basket of bread were provided for a group of more than 25 adults. A lot of the salads were left alone, though. My son, for example, loves shrimp. He can thoroughly enjoy the /poivron crevette/ I sometimes make, or he likes them in sushi. He did not touch these shrimp, though. "Theyre like yucky pieces of salty chewing gum"! Bless him, the boy is seven years old and he already understands...Main couse, then. Poached fish with cheese sauce, potatoes, overcooked broccoli. A Roulade of beef, pretending to be steaks, drowned in artificial, flavour enhanced mushroom or pepper sauce. Fried rice, undercooked, the freeze dried spice blend clearly coming from a bag. Chicken Satay (chicken leg, so some tendons were involvedand peanut sauce from a jar that was so salt and chemical I scraped it off.WARNING: the next day, my kids had a rash, plus both my wife and I had headaches. We tend to eat very little chemicals at home, were just not used to trash like this. And yes, this is our typical reaction to processed foods. The deserts were, well, all right. Yes, they were bought at some factory, wholesale. But there is only so much you can do wrong with store-bought stuff.Im certain that people who think McDonalds is "just great" will consider this a fine night out with great food. But I honestly cant. Not that I think expensive restaurants are better, no I dont. They /might/ be, but thats not a given. No, I know a lot of cheaper places that serve great food, well cooked and properly served. Please, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.TL;DR: If you go here, dont expect much. Better: go someplace else.
Excellent stay of one week at this hotel. Service was always friendly and helpful and the restaurant is of a good standard for a hotel. The rooms are large, well decorated, clean and quiet with very comfortable beds. Good wifi speeds as well. So recommended - Ill be using this hotel as my base for working in Ridderkerk from now on.
I’ve been here for having a brunch with my whole big family for my granddad’s birthday. But, the services are fast, the foods are AMAZING -like you’ll have ALL foods you want, from tiny fruit, ice cream, salmon, kroket, beef.. and they all taste delicious! The bathroom is clean, the parking lots are spacious, the employees are all super nice, and overall the lobby (because I’ve only been in the lobbyis also neat and nice. They have the king and queen paintings which are awesome.
Modern, updated hotel. Check in was very easy, and the breakfast was one of the best buffets Ive had at a Van der Valk. Only complaint was the bed was uncomfortable, and the blanket was too small. My husband and I would have preferred a real double bed is read of two single mattresses pushed together. The room was otherwise comfortable and clean.
New design hotel. very large. Service friendly. I just went for a meeting there, just for a drink, coffee was great all the facilities are there. Parking is free to (if you consume something). impressive lobby with a huge table made out of one piece of a tree.
PROs: The service at this hotel is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I found it very clean and enjoyable.Breakfast is also nice, you can take it Dutch style (butter, butter and butteror find healthy options with fresh juices and fruit. If I ever go around again, I would stay there again.CONs: The location is not the best. Away from Rotterdam or any other landmarks but good if you need to visit one of the nearby companies or if you are a traveler passing by looking for an accomodation. The hotel needs a refreshment. The carpet on the floor gives the hotel a old-fashion look. The pattern is also a bit “too much”, repeated on each floor even at the ground floor. I used the service room to order food but that was not a good idea. The food arrived a bit cold and taste was very bad to be honest. I normally eat everything but this one was too much for me. The chicken was completely covered with a sauce and the rice mixed with weirdest ingredients. Nor healthy, nor tasty, but maybe I was unlucky.
The food was lovely, however I ordered a tea in which I was brought a cup of hot water with no tea bag. I then ordered a bottle of coca cola and then continued to wait for said coke for 20 minutes
Nico room with good, modern facilitys. Restaurant was a big disappointment. Why not look at the restaurants of Akersloot, Hoorn or Zaandam? The know how to cook a tasty meal!
Had a great time. We had dinner with 2 friends. Food was nice, atmosphere good. We wil come back for sure.
Great place to eat with friends and family. Well designed and luxurious look. Food tasted really well and it was decently priced.
We where served fast. The menu was filled with a variety of meat dishes. Altough the meat was decent the dish lacked spice.
Visited on a business trip to Ridderkerk, and was more than happy, there is a cross-trainer & cycling machine in the communal area to exercise for free. The morning breakfast was a good continental buffet (with fry-up option to if you so wish), and the restaurant in the lobby area was fantastic. There is also a great walk by the canals within a minute from the front door. The rooms were clean and modern, mine had a wet room which i assume was reflective of all the rooms, the only fault I had was there was no tea only coffee in the room but the staff brought up everything as soon as asked. All in all made for relaxing evenings after working :)
Had dinner with my family. The food and service were very nice! Everything looked very tidy and we received food plus drinks quickly!
Excellent mid-priced hotel within driving distance of Rotterdam. The restaurant is good, nice outside space and the food is not expensive. Service is a bit moody but it was very busy and warm weather.
