Very nice hotel all great there 👍 foods are so delicious 😋

Room are very spacious and clean. The dishes we had for lunch was excellent. Service could use a tune up, menu on the website does not match the actual menu, we had to ask three times for a menu and it took 35minutes to actually get one. Outside area closes at 17:30, but 9 staff members doing nothing inside. Breakfast is nice, however the area is way too small and crowded and no hotel sized bread toaster. Staff was also rude when attempting to sit outside the (over)crowded area. Im confident these issues will be fixed and will definately stay here again, the food alone is worth it.

Very nice hotel - beautiful view and spacious rooms. A big parking for cars but also a place to put the bicycles inside . Highly recommended

We just came here to have dinner on our way home and both the service and the food were absolutely outstanding.

A1 hotel, one of the best we have stayed at, ever. Fantastic friendly staff, great restaurant, luxurious rooms, we even stayed an extra night because we were so relaxed.

Great hotel.Easy highway access.The staff was absolutely great.Everyone was was so helpful and engaging.I speak english only, and it seemed nearly everyone on the staff was happy to speak english with me.The room was clean and comfortable.The breakfast buffet had a large selection,as well as cooked to order eggs.I had 2 very good dinners.I was completely satisfied and happy with my stay.To all the staff...GREAT JOB!

Very comfortable hotel with very good food and friendly staff. We enjoyed our two nights in a luxurios family room. Should we ever return to Leeuwarden, would we certainly stay at this hotel again.

A very modern hotel, spacious rooms, cozy interior, very good restaurant and bar, welcoming and friendly staff, convenient location, easy and fast access to the center of Leeuwarden charging stations at the parking of the hotel. A perfect overall experience !

Beautiful new rooms. Allround super nice hotel friendly staff and a nice city. Plenty of ebikes for rent and they can rent electric boats for you very close to the hotel. They have the best family rooms of all the van der valks in Nederland. The whole family had a great time. My twin girls loved the family room

Vander Valk Hotel & Restaurant are excellent in giving services . The hotel are cosy and the food are delicious and the prices are depending what food you ordered.As of now the restaurant are closed due to the pandemic but their hotel are open.Just call them and ask an info.Lynbaan 35, 8941 BR Leeuwarden

I think this is the best hotel where Ive been in my life. Room is large and clean, staff is kind. I ve stay in this hotel for 2 weeks because of my job, and I would like to return with my girlfriend to have a trip in Leeuwarden and Frisia. The restaurant is good but cuisine is very different from italian one, and I prefer the italian one.

This hotel is an absolute joke. Disgusting service and treatment of people. We had a two night stay reserved. We spent all day moving and cleaning. We were absolutely exhausted and ready for a shower and a bed to sleep in only to show up and be told that they canceled our reservation. I worked for the Marriott hotel brand for four years. We would NEVER. NEVER do something like this to an arriving guest. Arrival times are unpredictable.. How could this hotel cancel our reservation and leave us to sleep on the ground of our empty apartment? Thank God we even had that. We could have had to sleep in our car or worse yet in the street as everything else in the area was booked. So if a family of four is coming and the children are getting sick during the trip as children often do, youll cancel their reservation? Because they didnt arrive at your desired time? Shocking! I am shocked at this treatment. We didnt have an email from this hotel. We didnt have one missed call or a voice message telling us that they will cancel our reservation if we dont arrive by a certain time. We have never in our lives experienced such disgusting disregard from a business, especially from an establishment whose primary business is accommodation and relaxation for weary and tired guests. We were left shocked. We travel the world due to my husbands job. We will never consider this hotel brand ever again. I cant imagine tourists excitedly hopping off a train (no car, no apartment in the cityto tour leeuwarden and at the end of their first day of exploring coming to their reserved hotel only to be told that their reservation was canceled because they didnt show up at the time that the front desk staff wanted them to show up. They would have to sleep on the street had they been in our shoes. This is so ridiculous and unbelievable that its almost funny. But it isnt funny. Its complete and utter disregard for people. Your business is customer service. Youre a pillar in the service industry and this is what you do? Shocking! This is the Netherlands. Many people travel here to partake in festivals and the party lifestyle. So they too, I imagine could have a late arrival. Do you truly readily cancel reservations at your leisure? This is completely inappropriate for a hotel to do. We received no apology when we came to find out more about what happened the next morning, we again, i reiterate, did not receive an email or a phone voicemail informing us of this action. I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. I cant imagine they treat the guests whose reservations they dont cancel very well either.

Rooms are spacious and well laid out. Modern and new furniture. The large 4k (!television and couch in the comfort rooms make this hotel especially suited for multi day stays. Also an ample desk with perfectly positioned power outlet and connection for wired internet, very convenient for business travelers. Wifi coverage was also excellent on the free but unprotected network.Staff was friendly but proper, checking in and out went efficiently. Dinner was excellent, perfect pink steak and a luscious desert. The breakfast buffet was very extensive, so good value for money if you take your time.Pay attention driving to the hotel. An attempt has been made to clarify the route with signs, but they can be hard to spot in the dark. Its not difficult if you take a look at google maps first.

Hotel is beautiful. Very well maintained very clean rooms. Rooms are quite specious. TV. Provided with YouTube enabled TV. Provided 1 complementary drink. Staff was very courteous polite and always helpful.

Hotel: new 2018, excellent beds, great bathroom with separate toilet. 4 stars +Bar: nice setting. Different recipy for same cocktail over 2 days. Pleasant service.Restaurant: we had dinner and breakfast 2 times. Good selection good price/quality. Friendly service. I do not recommend gnocci and smoked salmon

Brand new hotel with spacious comfortable rooms. Breakfast is very well furnished (large selection of foodsand the restaurant is of good quality. Also good to know: the free parking has several electric vehicle charging stations (Type 2 Mennekes plug). You do need an RFID badge to pay the typical fee for the charge.

Excellent, spacious rooms with very good beds, sofa and bathroom. (walk-in shower AND spacious bathtub. Yeah!Friendly staff, good food. Still a bit in the middle of nowhere but offers shuttle service to the center of town.

The hotel rooms are superb, but the restaurant is not up to the usual vandervalk standard. Very poor service at dinner, and slow cook the food (even at off-peak timesplus the breakfast is not as good as others Valk hotels. The hotel gym/spa is also currently closed too

Very nice hotel,helpful and friendly personel. nice rooms, The toiletroom is excluded from the bathroom and no sink to wash your hands there.Why??You can understand that the hotel is newly started up, but very serviceminded personel, would be better if there where a few more englishspeaking personel.Stayed two nights and thought that breakfast was included in both nights stay, but we had to pay x-tra for one breakfast,( 30 euro)We can recommend this hotel!
