Very nice hotel with excellent restaurant and amazing staff. Have been here staying very often. The rooms are spacious with nice bed. Dont miss the restaurant.

Lovely to see veuve clicquot served by the glass. Food is not the best though, not sure how anyone can mess up smoked salmon, it was tasteless like it was passed under water before serving. Service was intrusive with self deprecating, offensive, jokes.

Hotels interior is much more inviting than initial exterior visibility suggests. Good food too. Rooms are good although tv channels (if thats ones needare not all working. Smart TV is easy to cast to. Cleanliness mostly good, but a few of the lesser accessed areas dusty (back of WC and top of the bead head board). Balconys too are a nice room feature. Id stay again for sure.

Do not stay there. The guy in the reception on the 12th of September 2022 19:00 is responsible for the following: First he didn’t speak good english and he didn’t ask for help for his colleagues who do speak english. Then he kept telling me in my phone that there is a shuttle bus which didn’t arrive after 30 minutes me waiting at airport parking. Then he wrote an order that I want a wakeup call at 4:30am but I never asked for that and realized that just in my last night when I managed to hear the fixed line ringing. He destroyed my business trip cause I never had enough sleep.

Deceiving Hotel at first the outside looks like your average but inside it is very modern and very classy. Beautiful hotel. Lovely bar downstairs. Has a restaurant with outdoor seating. They have a butchers fridge on show where you can choose your steaks these can be 9+ marbling rate so check your prices. We chose a steak to share it was beautifully cooked. Staff are friendly. Rooms very clean and presentable. Felt luxury. The jacuzzi bath was amazing and so relaxing. Parking at hotel adequate. Great stay comfy bed. Only 19 min from the air port which is very handy.

Perfectly acceptable airport hotel, restaurant open until 22:00 (last ordersjust what you need at the airport, well done.

My wife and I came from Venice, Danieli hotel,And had delay on our late flight. We decided to stay in Van der Valk Charleroi airport hotel since it was too late to continue back home. We were very pleasant suprised by the service of Guillaume. He was very helpfull and solved al of our problems. This was quite a surpprise in a positive way. Hotel is really nice. Rooms spacious, well maintained and super clean. Free parking which is not common for airport hotels.Service staff well trained and polite.Definitely to stay if you need hotel close to the airport.

Hotel is fine, rooms are nice. The resteraunt is absolutly terrible. I was here with 2 coworkers and we had dinner at the resteraunt twice. We never ordered the same thing twice, 2 out of the 6 meals were good. 2 of the meals were ok, but not good for what they charged. 2 of the meals where almost inedible.Service was also amongst the worst Ive ever experienced at a resteraunt. I understand dinner in europe is conducted different than in the US, but this service was BAD!

Overall good hotel, clean and well maitained room, with friendly and helpfull staff. Restaurant serves delicious foods with wide variety of beers and wines. As it is situated close to the highway, a bit noisy

Not available iron at the hotel as other customers used all. What do we do if we are on a business trip but we arrive at the hotel late at night? The website indicated iron in the room. Don t trust them. That is how a business trip starts in a terrible way for sure.

Nice hotel and friendly service. Restaurant was very good. Only negative point was that the Wifi on the 5th floor was very very very slow....

Room was far too hot, no air con or fans provided. When I asked for bottled water they didn’t have enough to for all guests because everyone was complaining about the heat.I spent two nights here for business with very little sleep because the rooms were far too hot.On the plus side the restaurant was nice, good breakfast menu and evening options

We only went there to eat. The volume of the pianist/singer performing was so loud it was difficult to talk. We had to wait more than 45 minutes for 3 poke bowls. The portions were ridiculously small, youd expect more for 18 euro each. And finally the wine that we ordered twice never arrived.This is disappointing and I wouldnt recommend anyone to go and eat there if theyre hungry.

It was Awful! We just had a lunch here, and the food was cold and tasted very bad!!!! so i sent my So called Angus Burger back to the kitchen asked the manager to change my Awful Angus (made in usa Burgerhe said that is not possible. the manager did not offer anything to make up for it, and only said you can order another food but you still have to pay for your untouched burger. I would leave zero stars if I could. They made me pay for somefood which was not eatable.

Well, I would not have known that this place existed, if it wasnt for my cancelled flight. But I feel obligated to leave a review. Good quality rooms at a decent price, but what shines is the staff from the barmaid who was working like crazy, to the super kind receptionist and all others I had interactions with. Quite strange given the stereotype of poor customer service in Belgium, but here you go. Bravo!

We had a terrible experience at the Hotel. We were not guests at the hotel proper but we wanted to spend some time and money at the restaurant, eat and drink while waiting for our flight to leave. Today is the hottest day in Belgium, the temperature will go up as high as 40C.When we arrived at the Hotel we found that all the lobby sliding doors were open and it was boiling hot inside. Looking for a cooler area we went downstairs where it was cooler. A security guard of some sorts came after us and in an unimaginable rude way informed us that we’re not supposed to be down there.Up until now I really liked the Van de Valk Hotel chain and stayed at their Hotels several times. After this incident however I will have to re-evaluate. The security guard talking to guests that way is simply inexcusable.My original review was over a year ago. Did anyone ever notice how the hotel almost never replies to criticism ? Your silence is deafeningly loud!

Attended a conference here and water wasnt even served for guests, the manager wouldnt give us tap water or hot water. Toilets were not replaced with immenities for the whole day. Overall not impressed.

Restaurant (not hotel): One of the most bizarre meals of all time. The "Thai Salad" didnt seem to have anything to do with Thai cuisine. Its a mystery how it arrived at such a name. It was chicken and shrimp stir-fried in a cheap sweet & sour sauce atop a bed of cabbage. And I dont mean a single-sized bed, I mean a full king-sized, deluxe bed. It must have been an entire head of cabbage, there was cabbage everywhere. The dish was basically Kung-Pao Chicken (and shrimpon cabbage. Anyway, not bad-tasting, just odd and definitely not "Thai". Two stars for the dish plus a bonus star for the story.

The hotel is nice. The room was clean, the bed comfy. Sadly the TV didnt support wifi sharing so I could watch some Netflix. The breakfast was very good. I ordered room service and it was perfect.

Nice quality price ratio but the premium room are probably worth it. The air cooling system in the low end one is noisy and impossible to setup a too high temperature, the bed is ok but not outstanding.

I went for a drink today at their bar. The weather was nice and I wanted to enjoy it on their lovely outside area.I took a strawberry milkshake and was served initially relatively quickly. I was joined by my friend and she was also served quite fast.As we wanted to order another round, I had some trouble getting the main waiters (the one with curly hairattention. The place was relatively empty and manned by two waiters. I tried to get the second waiters (the one with ginger hairattention who acknowledge me but went away...After trying to get their attention for fifteen minutes (please note that they were busying themselves around the till and pretending to verify orders on the machines whilst looking everywhere except in my direction), I stood up and went to the till.I calmly stated that :"It seems I should settle my bill as my presence is clearly bothering you!".I was handed my bill and as I was settling it, I asked :"Is it a common practise for customers to be ignored for more than ten minutes?" I was met with a nonchalant answer :"I didnt see you!".Come on! Im 511", big woman in all black on a white background and my friend is wearing a colourful top... How are we not visible?!?I am quite disappointed at the service and their reaction. They should just have a sign that states "Non-whites allowed!".

Great hotel near the Airport. Splendid staff, great restaurant and comfy atmosphere. Rooms are large and finely appointed. Breakfast is extensive and evenings meals are very tasty and well presented.

Decent hotel for a quick break during a long drive. We stayed here on our way to france and didn’t have any complaints. The room was a good size and comfortable beds

At last a Dog friendly hotel, who dont charge silly money for the dog! Also rooms a nice size. Friendly staff at desk, who spoke good English. Good hotel for stop over if traveling.

Ended up in this place as we wanted a bar located closed to the airport. Nice decor, free car park. Good choice of drinks. Open till midnight. Service however was really bad, took ages to order (drinks only!and then they forgot about the order! Lights start flashing when it is time to leave, not the best for a hotel bar.

Great hotel, clean rooms beds are a bit to soft but thats personal preference. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Air-conditioned rooms on the road side but also without on the other side. Even possible to rent a fish when your lonely 😆

Pros: Good breakfast. Small but ok gym. Spacious rooms. Supermarket just next to the hotel.Cons: Rooms have no air conditioning. The hotel is next to a road with heavy traffic. No fridge in rooms.

Pretty nice hotel, a little bit too far from the airport, though for an airport hotel. They have a shuttle, but it is still payed, which in case of a 4 people family will not matter, really. The rooms are nice and clean. The shower quite incomveniently built.

Good location, near from the airport and easy to reach by car. The family room was very nice and enough space for 4 people. Everything was fine: beds, toilet, bathroom.The breakfast was really good with a large choice of food.Recommended place!

Definitely a hotel to go back to (when Im in the neighbourhood)! Van der Valk is to me, a place I know because I am Dutch but also in Belgium, great! We had a amazing dinner in the restaurant and the room was very tidy, clean and functional.The only comment I would like to add is the driver that picked us up from the Airport, he didnt communicate, hes driving was somewhat reckless and that wasnt a very pleasant experience. The somewhat young lad was parking on handicapped spots and he was calling while driving. He also wanted to wait for another guest but that took very long and he didnt communicate that with us. Because of the shuttle service it took us a hour to go to the hotel (which is normally a drive of 10 minutes).

The hotel is nice and clean. Big and comfortable room. Parking. Coffee machine in the room. Nice and helpful staff. Amazing restaurant on site. Breakfast is perfect. Only one thing. Ventilation in the toilet and bathroom should be improved.

This business hotel has great facilities. Especially the suites are great value as they double as small meeting rooms. Restaurant has a great food selection and serves food continuously throughout the day.

Good hotel. One of the best in the area. Service, food, bar all good. Rooms spacious but pillows in rooms are awful. They offer laundry but no dry cleaning.

Lovely stay with comfy rooms and awesome restaurant. The staff I encountered were lovely and friendly, were able to speak English as I could speak French and assisted with my queries.The food at the restaurant is really nice, with friendly wait staff that also spoke English. Good selection of beer and breakfast is very decent with breads, cereals, meats, cheeses and options for fried food. Good for short stay or long term.

It is an ok hotel with a big park place. Rent a fish is a fancy option.. I never did it. Breakfast for 15 Eur is overpriced for the choice of breads and cereals. It is very convenient to get to the airport from here.Restaurant is notoriously slow, staff seemed blind. Better eat elsewhere if you have expectations.

I booked a two night stay at this hotel in August 2017 for a business trip. The hotel is clean and conveniently located, but the staff were incredibly unhelpful and I had a terrible stay. I was assigned a room on the fourth floor with no amenities (not even soap!and no air conditioning. When I asked if I could upgrade to a nicer room for my second night, I was initially told there were plenty of rooms with air conditioning available and it would be no problem. I made it very clear that I had no problem paying more money for a nicer room. Then the young woman behind the counter realized the housekeeping had gone home for the day so there would be no one to make up my very unbearably hot room for another potential guest. So I was told I would have to remain in my room after all. I should have left at that point and paid for a second room at another hotel, but I stayed thinking it might not be so bad with the balcony door open. I was wrong and so am stuck with my decision at 2am while extremely uncomfortable. Very unimpressed with the lack of hospitality in exchange for a profit. So if you stay here make sure you do NOT stay on the 4th floor!

Recently subjected to a total renovation, the place looks fantastic. Amazing food, (Particularly the steaks and burgers!), though the service can be a little slow. at times. Overall it is very well worth a visit and a drink.

Great atmosphere. Excellent rooms especially the new duplex ones ... private sauna was amazing. Cant understand negative comments over the restaurant. Both restaurant and brasserie have godd selections and quality meals. Service throughout the hotel is very friendly. We will definitely be back.

I find it a good hotel for a reasonable price however sometimes might be overpriced. Had to stay there last 2 years few times due to my work.The rooms are calm and clean. Nice view from the window.I didnt have an opportunity to check out the gym and the restaurant due to lack of time. Free parking and good Wi Fi.
