The one and only place to buy ,old school red Viennas,Russians and there Frankfurters are the best.There meat is top quality,the shop is always clean,and stocked up. There services is great,and there take-away kiosk is a must.

THE best meat in town, such a variety of sausage, the samoosas amazing and the cooked Eisbein so tasty. In fact the deli section offers delicious hot food, salads etc at reasonable prices. And of course! KAFE SEREFE which serves Amazing meals

Wonderful selection of meats, deli foods, home baked treats and basic groceries. Meat cut to your request by very knowledgeable Butchers. All staff helpful and friendly. Plenty of safe, off main road parking at their premises. Very busy at peak times, but well managed, makes shopping here quick, easy and affordable.

Always the best place to shop when you need quality meat products. Their prices on the products are not necessarily the highest and you will be surprised to find reasonable prices for quality products. Van Rensburgs medium boerewors is my favourite as well as variety of braai packs that they have in stock.

For years I have been a loyal customer. Whenever I come to George I go to van Rensburgs. They have freshest meat ever, the best Biltong and dried wors, excellent home industry goodies, such customer centric staff.

This is actually a butchery but this outlet is definitely more than that. Well stocked with all sorts of fresh meat to take aways and bread and cakes!Freshness is the name of the game here!

Whenever I go back home, I make sure to stop at van Rensburgs. The quality matches the price, and you are highly unlikely to receive inferior meat or service. The specialty boerewors is a firm favorite, and I highly recommend that you try some of them.

Cashier swiped twice for same transaction. It has been two weeks and we are still struggling to get the money back from them. The manager just keeps on making empty promises. Quality is not good at mall branch.

I have done some very good reviews on this business as I have been in George since 1979. Today I tried the Sunday lunch a unfortunately it wasnt a good experience! Firstly the portions dont warrant the R65 even if you get desert with. No gravy on rice and food is bland. Got there to collect my lunches as I did pre ordered 10h30 at they were basically sold out,customers in que complained about the small portions and about them running out. I ordered pork and lamb and both portions were lacking. Sad to say that I would rather buy from PnP .

Well managed business, excellent food. This is what makes me feel proud when family from far comes over to braai en enjoy their platters and quality meat.

Best quality meat products in the Southern Cape. Higher prices than the large retailers, but quality is in a class of its own. When I travel elsewhere friends always want me to bring them something from Van Rensburgs

Excellent quality, fantastic varieties and interesting combinations. Only negative is that unfortunately good food comes at a price. Can be very expensive for every month shopping.

Famous food outlet well know for quality meat

I love shopping at Van Rensburgs Foods, for the past 10 years its been a definite must go to in our family. Their variety of wors is devine! Meat always tasty and fresh.

Me and my fiance is very disappointed in the attitude we received at Van Rensburgs foods in town by the supervisor or manager. We took some chicken breasts of the shelf and as we went to the till to purchase the items, the lady informed us its wrongful priced. As far as we know, items priced wrongly on the shelves are the business responsibility and not the clients. They made their mistake ours. Whats worse it the words that was said by the supervisor or manager ( nee LATTE hierdie gaan terug rakke toe julle kan dit nie koop nie for a company and business that has such amazing foods and meats we felt so belittle. False advertisement and bad attitude at its worse. I noticed this is the second incident in one month on the reviews. Very disappointing! They need to up their game for a leading retailer as this is not acceptable.

The quality and price point is exceptionally good. The store was supposed to be open until 15h00 (Saturday), yet they had most of the meat packed away @ 13h50...

On Heritage day as a black woman I did not expect to feel a disadvantage buying some meat at Van Rensburg Meat George. But I felt it especially today. I tried to purchase two boxes of specially marked meat boxes of lamb chops for under R200. I believed it to be a bargain. But when I got to the till, I was prevented from buying the meat. And yes, I reverted to form, I believed that yet again if the colour of my skin was any but what it was, I would have been able to claim the purchase price. After all, am I to be made to feel that my sale was not needed, appreciated because I managed to find the one product presented by a supplier and they didnt need to honour the sale? It is a question I have to ask each time I am judged as not important enough in a town in South Africa on Heritage day 2020.

Excellent Butchery, but sooo much more than just a butchery. There is no competition for this Butchery. The meat is excellent quality, fresh Veg, Cooked food, take aways, baked treats, fresh bread. Almost a one stop shop. We love visiting this Butchery. Should be a tourist attraction in George😃

We Love buying our Meat here. There is such a huge variety of delicious cuts to choose from. Always fresh and something new to try. Its extremely popular and love seeing that there are days for pensioners to get a discount on the purchases. There is a small grocery and veggie section if you need to whip up something quick at home and dont feel like going to other shops. Its convenient and plenty parking. Staff are friendly and helpful. Delicious boerie rolls are made outside, and the temptation of walking past with those yummy smells is almost impossible.

Best restaurant Ive been to in George. Meals were suberp, perfectly presented and delicious. The service was very professional yet warm, friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The ambience was excellent. Everything felt genuine and authentic. Our party of four loved the entire dining experience and enjoyed the decor. Lovely to see.care and thought put into the decor.
