Valley of Waves in Klerksdorp

Beutiful ,smart and safe place to relax and have fun. The waves were an experience that I longed for .life guards are always on sight and that makes one feel safe especially with the kids .valley of waves is worth visiting 😍 Food cot is a stone throw away and so is the bar 🍸 😋. We paid day visitors online as no tickets are paid for at the resort ,a bit pricey but the 450rand included a meal voucher of 80 rand ,above all I can say its truly worth it .Great place indeed .

When the sun is out and you want to play as a family, this is the place to go. Sun City truly is a world within a city. So much to do; Valley of Waves, water slides, water skiing, quad biking, garden walks, etc. Bit pricey for a day visit though (R450 for adults and R350 for children up to 12years old in October 2022). The fee did include about R80 per person food voucher that can be used in the restaurants. Lots of parking available.

Still a great place to visit. Makes one feel like a kid every single time!!!When is the SKY TRAIN going to work again?!?

My family and I really enjoyed our recent stay @ the Sun city vacation club. We love spending time at the Valley of the waves waterpark. Two new additions are the Boomerango and Aqualoop slides which are AWESOME. That being said the Aqualoop slide is not for the faint-hearted.

You cant even get tired until you sleep, you just wanna dive in over and over and over again

It was an amazing experience. The one thing that was a sour point was that they dont accept your own food in the place. Wish they can indicate in their website.

Valley of the waves is safe. What a wonderful experience. Would definetly visit again.

Visiting SunCity is a must! You are in another world entirely the moment you gained an access to the environment. Valley of waves is an artificial beach that will blow your mind away. Very clean and friendly environment. A place to visit with family and friends.

The experience was amazing, I dont wana lie.I went there for 2 days and 1 night.The serve breakfast in the morning( buffet)After you can go to valley ( pop corns, ice cream, few restaurants also inside, slides but the water is extremely cold for me )They also have rentals for towels, and for other stuff like your phone and clothes

Still a lovely attraction. Pity about the bar and pool on the way to the Palace not being open.Lots of maintenance being done! The roaring bridge not roaring anymore!

It was our first time visit with my friend on the 9th of August 2022.What an amazing experience, transport and restaurants easily accessible and I also want to give a shout out to the 2 security personnel who were on duty by the entrance of the beach, excellent customer oriented,they made us feel free & at home.Our first time visit felt like nothing new to us.We will definitely be back again and hopefully wed stay overnight.

Awesome just to walk around the area, water too cold for pensioners, but nothing wrong with the beach bar....had a cool one while watching the brave ones in the waves

What a blast, families first time at the Valley of the Waves, Sun City the kids including us had a great time.The water was freezing cold but that didnt stop the kids they still enjoyed it in there with the waves, us adults on the second hand will definitely be back in summer than maybe we will join in the water.We relaxed at the Beach Bar the whole day, was laka relaxing.The kids went Zip-Linning again this time they were so brave they did it by themselves 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 all the way.

This place is amazing and refreshing, if you are in Johannesburg and need to cool down and see the waves, Valley of the waves is your go to place, just 2hrs drive, amazing for family outings and kids love it too

The kids had a great time here. The Valley of Waves has a great variety of rides for all ages, all of them well monitored by lifeguards. The place is kept spotlessly clean at all times. We were here on a quiet day so the there were no queues for rides.There is a good selection of snack and drink vendors all around the park.Tip: take your own towels or pay R80 to borrow one for the day. 😳

Best place for family, kids love the waves.It is very clean. There is Steers and Brew Monkey if you need something to eat or drink.NB: no alcohol allowed on the beach there are designated area.If you forgot your towel dont worry they have a rental shop where you can rent clean towels and lockers, Lots of entertainment and fun

Loved Valley of the Waves. Its great for both adults and kids. The DJ was a lovely surprise, and the music added to the fun

lovely relaxing..just need to have more of those backrest chairs as sometimes we walking the entire area looking for these back rests ..otherwise security service are all great ..clean..steers halaal at the valley of the waves and lekker steers

Great place to go with family and friends and enjoy the waves and slides around the complex. Bit pricey though but worth it once in a while.

We had a fantastic time here over the weekend to celebrate Dewalds birthday. The weather was excellent and our family enjoyed our stay here at Sun City.Will definitely visit again😷😘

Taking the long trip down is totally worth it. I think this is probably THE BEST water park closest to Joburg. The slides are well calculated to not cause any strong jerks or injuries compared to happy islands ..the rides here were pleasant. The chimpanzee canopy tour is pretty awesome and worth it as well! Valley of the waves is probably twice the size of happy islands sea. The temple of courage is not that bad honestly, just do it.The slide & general staff is awesome. Even the ice cream guys... So friendly and welcoming. Such good vibes.My only concern would be the maintenance of the slides, it seems some of the slides paint is wearing off and they seemed to have trouble with the loop launching slide.As for the maze, it was nice to have done it, but when we go to sun city again I wouldnt bother doing the maze again...it was a bit boring. But the bridge towards the maze and the view from the bar upstairs made it worth it.But generally speaking its well worth the long ride and $$$ .

It’s really nice man made beach, to spend a whole day there. You aren’t allowed to carry any food or water/drinks in. And the carry cash for deposits for the towels/lockers/ umbrellas. The staff inside aren’t very helpful or friendly.

Words cannot express the amount of fun I had at valley or waves during my stay at Suncity. I felt like a kid again had a one of the best experiences which makes me want to go back again and again. As a person who takes a while to go on slides due to certain fears, the lifeguards at some of the slides were extremely patient and encouraging. I wish I had remembered their names because they surely deserve credit for their helpfulness and pure kindness. I would highly recommend a visit to valley of the waves for people of all ages because youre never too young or old to have a good time. Everything is well kept and there are lockers available to lock away your things while you have fun. There are plenty of spots to hangout or even sleep on the sand. Its absolutely worth a visit.

This was an awesome day visit. Theres just water everywhere, 5 great water slides or maybe even more. Secluded pool side with a bar. I would recommend a trip to suncity Valley of waves to anyone.

Thee best theme park in S.A handsome down!This place will literally make you feel like a child again🤣. Definitely worth the drive but must spend a complete whole day here!!!

I really enjoyed the peaceful moments at the Valley of the Waves during the week. Weekends are always so crowned. City of the Sun always the best

Enjoyed the hospitality and service at the resort. Very friendly staff all around.We had some requests to the room booking and it was easily adjusted for us with no issues.Other then that its always a fun experience at the Valley of the waves wirh lots of memories to be made with family

Things are not the same since this Covid19 thingy.You have to buy your tickets a today before and we are not being told such.When you get at the gate and you dont have ticket you have to go back.If you want to visit Suncity tomorrow buy your tickets today or a week before.Tickets are not sold at the gate anymore...This artificial sand hurt your feet when its hot.The rough surface when you enter the Valley of the waves pool is also uncomfortable.Its my 3rd time going to the Suncity the last time i went there, the were no Zip Lines at the Valley of the waves.They have +-5 slides but the one that is most fun slide is always crowded.Im still going to update

We had a very nice outing with my colleague last year and i wish i could go there again. We enjoyed the waves of the water n everything that was there.

So much fun for the whole family. There is something for everyone. The facility is well kept and the staff are very attentive. But for me the best thing is the architecture and ancient ruin theme.

Wonderful Experience!!! Enjoyed every moment at the valley of the waves. Ensure you try out every body and tube water slide. Highly recommended for a fun family outing, Safe lockers available for small valuables, also beach umbrellas available to rent... ensure you carry Cash and your Cards regarding for payment as to rent a locker/umbrella cash is required and to purchase general snacks or food cards only are used for payment. Another tip would be to have a water proof action camera to capture your fun moments in the water riding some waves or trying out the water slides.

Brilliant fun day out on the beach, ride and waves. Well maintained, not lacking anything, enough tubes, etc. Food options also good.Only con for me - drinks were pretty expensive, but you can probably expect that at a place like this.All in all very pleasant, will definitely recommend.

Valley of the waves is something spectacular. A good place to relax with family, friends or a special someone in your life. You can enjoy the slides, a drink at the beach bar. Bring your own towel for relaxing on the sand or hire one. Your stuff is securely stored in a locker (family size or standardwhich is locked/unlocked by a wristband chip.

Great fun. Clean and everything is organised. Covid protocol is followed. Food and lockers are expensive. New rides are fun!

I had an awesome time with my friends at the Valley of the Waves despite the gloomy weather on the day. I can’t wait to plan another trip here with my family.I just wish they accepted card payment when paying for lockers.

An amazing getaway in South Africa. I recommend going on a weekday, it’s so quiet and you get to enjoy everything. It’s a beautiful place.

If you looking for a holiday destination that offers everything this is definitely the place to visit when you in South Africa or in Pilansberg. Diffrent hotels restaurants to choose from on one resort. Amazing activities for the whole family. Tree gliding, Zip line, slides, tubes safaris, game drives, quad biking, archery and loads more. Im not exaggerating it is really that awesome and more.

One of the places in South Africa that show our true potential!!! A world class facility... absolutely clean and a guaranteed amazing outdoor experience best shared with family. Always check the weather before coming here. The higher the temperature the better time you will have. A must see for any South African and tourist atleast once. I have personally been here many times. Easy 5 star!!!

It was amazing, we had lots of fun. Covid protocol was followed. They make sure ppl wear masks at all time. On Saturday good music 🎶 was played

The standards have dropped compared to previous visits. Very few tubes available and in poor condition. Long queues. Only one person per double tubes on rides. Doesnt make sense. Also topples over as no weight on back section of tune. Took 30 mins to get popcorn. Lazy river water looks green Please try to upkeep previous standards,as this is one of our favourite resorts to visit yearly.

First thing to note is there is masks required as far as possible, there are no food drinks and smoking allowed into the area. I appreciated this rule there was very litter anywhere. Lots of ice cream places and places to eat in and around. There are no day visitors for the time being. The wave pool was nice but could have had less debris. The earthquake bridge was exciting and the staff was very helpful at the lazy river. The slides were on another level. Not all were open but were really enjoyable. It was not very busy with no line for the slides. The baby pool also needed cleaning and was really cold. Was very memorable.
