Valley Restaurant in Noorder-Paarl

Becoming tacky on a weekend. Seems to be the place to go for large crowds of certain types of women who just go for the drinks and endless selfies. Would think staff would move them to the bar area and leave the dining area to dining guests and families. Can’t even use the restrooms...full of rowdy women taking selfies. Same thing every weekend and getting worse.

Upmarket establishment - not particularly to my personal liking and a bìt unpersonal but I suppose there would be a demand for this sort of venue. Just a bit too glitzy and clinical for me though. Service levels excellent!

Massively struggle to process takeaway orders. Online orders often mysteriously overlooked, so I moved onto calling instead. Calling proved a hit or miss strategy with no answer half of the time. When they launched a WhatsApp channel, I was hopeful that this would improve efficiency. No such luck. WhatsApp orders are easily answered an hour late. Frustrating.

Awful service amazing food

Great setting. We had shocking service from our waiter. Put me off the place a little.

We are there 3 days in a row. Try first 2 days it was fine . The Sunday evening was a disaster . Food took 2 hours to arrive and there was no management that apologized or even came to our table to ask how everything was. We kept on having to get up and look for our waiter . They were far too busy for the amount of tables and the kitchen could not handle it

Good service from waitress. Nice venue and view. On the negative side is I had the 9 hole breakfast. Not value for money. Bacon overcooked and dish very big for serving. Spur breakfast a third of the price with more food. It was a lovely morning and good weather.

Very nice restaurant - excellent scenery, security just confused. They do not allow visitors, wonder how do you play golf there or go and eat. Took some convincing to get in, redicilous....

They have divine ribeye steak! Enough said!

The hake and chips I ordered was not fried properly. As one can see the batter was over fried and dark, it was also too thick and just tasted like oil. Don’t order the fish and chips here. Rest of the food was ok.

The setting is nice but the food is average...BUT there was one dish that stood out and that was their pulled Harris lamb wonton...the putanesca was a big portion but disappointing....I generally compare putanesca to place in a Durban that prepared the best putanesca... i.e. Spiga Doro...unfortunately they closed

Always a great mid-week option for residents

Given the location i expected amazing food and it was anything but. I ordered a medium rare steak and what i got was closer to well done and it was getting cold. A restuarant in a luxury estate should do much better, especially in Pearl Valley.

I had such a delightful experience a week ago.The day was fantastic and I am very appreciative of the excellent service received. Loveness & Alex served us phenomenally well.Your meals were scrumptious and I could taste that pure dedication and passion is invested into the finer details of your dishes.I ordered the beef stroganoff and crispy gnocchi as my main meal.All I can say is wow - you have changed my perception of gnocchi.It was crisp, light and complemented the beef so well.When I saw the date malva on the menu, I was immediately drawn to it because dates are one of my favourite things in this world.The dessert was everything and more that I imagined it to be.Well done, to the chef & team, for excellent execution of the new, fresh menu :you are doing phenomenal things!

A large airy restaurant, where social distancing is possible without compromising ones Covid need for personal space.The menu is exciting and served with efficiency.A really happy space, especially if one plans a large family or friends gathering.

Great food and beers 🍻 they also have variety of cocktails🍸. Love the summer weather and freshness of the golf course grass aroma.Professional service and had to the privilege to meet the chef 👨🏿‍🍳👌🏿 👑

Now open 7 days per week. Sushi is a good choice.

Exceptional service, friendly staff that go the extra mile, delicious food that’s beautifully plated. Lunch on the terrace overlooking the golf course is a must! We had dinner one night in the members lounge and the atmosphere was amazing!

The stunning Valley Restaurant overlooking the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course has an simple delicious menu almost everything to meet local and international people. Great service, passionate and friendly management.

Ive lived in Pearl Valley for the last 3 or so years. This place has gone through ups and downs with management and staffing. They ultimately are now on the right track with a fantastic new chef and management team. The food has been a consistent staple in my diet when I couldnt be asked to make dinner after a day of work or a lazy Sunday lunch. This place serves rather good pizza and burgers for pub grub. The bar here is always pleasant and surrounded by golfers or businessmen alike. It makes a wonderful 19th Hole after a day of hot weather or a poor game😉

We had the absolutely delicious eggs benedict with truffles hollandaise. The views were incredible and my girlfriend and I were so content outside in the sunshine. They could maybe tighten up a bit on their service, particularly when it came to asking for our bill, which took about 10 minutes, but besides that our waiter was fantastic.

Its a communal restaurant and lounge for residents and golfers of pearl valley and considering the service is good and quality is good. Atmosphere is relaxed and beautiful setting, views. Children friendly.

Look this chicken dish wasnt bad, but if you say panko crumbed chicken, please dont fail on the primary aspect of the dish. I mean if I ordered pork and got chicken, it doesnt matter how good the chicken is, its still bad pork. Service was fantastic. Chef clearly failed here.

Service is slow and unfriendly. We almost missed our t time as we had to wait 45 minutes for breakfast.. The staff cannot care one way or another. Rather disappointing and shameful after bringing foreign guests to play and eat

Such a great venue and location - shame about the terrible service...... really spoiling a (potentiallygreat experience.We cycle through from Val De Vie with the kids and it is a disappointment every time.Sort out the service people.... please!
