Valla Beach Tourist Park - Park and Garden in Kempsey, Australia
Absolutely love staying at Valla! Weβve been staying there since β99. Only downfall was our campsite flooded and had a pool under the gazebo for the last two days.
Valla always comes alive for the Hotrods in October.Awesome spot so close to the river and beach.
Very good, lots of fun. Close to the beach and river. Not to far to drive to other towns.
Close to beach. Quiet and good amenities
Very large grassy park. Wonderful location on a river & near the beach. Fantastic fishing from the private boat ramp. Lots of renovations & upgrades happening, adding to a better holiday experience.
Central, great powered site, lovely staff, dog friendly beach β±οΈ the only thing I could hear at night was the ocean. Blissππ
As tent campers looking for an overnight stay, this park was Expensive. $43 to pitch a 2 man tent. There was no camp kitchen which even the $17 a night national park camping has. Amenities were Spartan and showers took ages to run hot and adjusting water temperature took a great deal of fine tuning. To us $43 for a tent site is a premium price and we expected much more. We stayed there because it was nightfall and we had to sleep somewhere. Personally, this place is not one Iβd hurry back to as a matter of choice.
Good price and beautiful destination
Great quiet friendly park near river & beach. Dog friendly run next door to park.
Had a very relaxing 5 night stay in our caravan. Easy access to river and beach. Friendly staff and reasonable facilities made for a pleasant stay.
Stayed 2 nights great weather, great coffee and breakfast van at the back of the park. Had our own caravan.
Antother great caravan/holiday park getting pushed aside to allow more permanent relocatable homes to be built.
BRICK. SHOWER. who chose brick shower. first off, THATS SCARY sexond off who the frick chose itπ‘π‘π‘π‘ not happy.
Lovely destination, easy access to creek and ocean
Its a great place to stay and enjoy your holiday.
The people at this park are very caring and understanding.I cannot speak highly enough of them and wish them the greatest success.ππππ·π·
Quite park friendly people. Dog friendly. clean facilities. Pool being updated. More a mature persons park. We were pleased they honoured out travel action from two years ago as park had been closed and also gave us 5 free days.
Great place to stay, awesome beach, lovely and friendly staff, will definitely go back again, the tv reception is poor but the views and sounds of the ocean are amazing
Very quiet. If visiting in the summer the pools are not open so not much for kids all though the beach is over the bridge but not patrolled.
Well laid out sites, great facilities, although I hear it had been closed for 12 months due to cv19.
Great little park , freindly owners stayed 3 days, the park is a little run down pool still under maintenance looks like it hasnt had any updates in years . Over all quite and has what you need , also flooded while we was here as its so flat , still enjoyed
This park is home away from home for me and my family. The families that visit have been coming here every year. We hope that activities will return to this great place. Cheers π₯
Sadπ Park no maintenance in last 3 years. Had a Rally 75 ppl with a discount $4 per night paid ($387 vans had to stay an extra 3 nights as Motorway was closed. Asked if we could get a discount, wasnt asking for it free got $4, reception was ringing bookings not to come with the floods, come later. This Park is well overpriced and badly needs maintenance. Poor cleaner wiping laundry tub and door just fell off rusted away. πππ
Its a shame this place has been left to be so run down and now removing the cabins. The potential for this place to be an amazing hub for the valley has now been left an eyesore. a missed opportunity to promote the valleys amazing bush and creek as well as an economic boost, provide much needed jobs and tourism to our town.
Beautiful place, quiet and great for kids in the inlet. Really untouched by major developers for now so highly recommend. Has showers and toilets with covered picnicking area. Hard to find the actually council park so use maps.
Hi we had a site booked on the 1st of September. With the virus still active in NSW and im in Qld i decided to cancel and we will go another date. The person on the phone could of not been more helpful and she said to book somewhere down the track when the virus moves on. I can not speak highly enough of there service. Many Thanks Alan
Luxurious cabins if it was 1940s. Super old and in dire need of maintenance and updating. Surprised they had running water!!! During the night there were roaches scampering about. Place smelt very musty and old hermit place. Dirty, previous occupants hair on the shower floor (gross). Furniture was very cheap and nasty. Only place to sit was either on the bed or a very, very uncomfortable hard chair. No fly screen on the door, tiny windows so no air flow, no air con and it was a hot box. No sugar with the tea and coffee. Office closed at 5pm so nowhere to get any.Charged over $100 a night for accommodation. We have stayed in many van parks that were not much more cost wise and been thoroughly impressed and comfortable so we have good comparisons.DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!!!
The place is well overpriced for the cabins dont think anything has been done to them since I was on a school excursion around 1998 the look like shearers quaters $180 a night even in peak period is to dear 70-90 is the most that should be charged as most things on the website are either broken or over grown putt putt is all overgrown by weeds the kids park is out dated spend most the night up as cockroaches were crawling the only good part is the river and the beach being close πππstaff arent very welcoming
They havent spent a cent on the place in over 30 years, yet the prices are quite high. Onsite bar and restaurant is rarely open. Cabins very run down. Location is good, about the only saving grace.
We stayed in a self contained ensuite cabin. Plenty of room and the wildlife was great to see. Good swimming pool and the beach just a very short walk. Tennis court and games room and gym were OK also
Had a late check in and early check out as we were on the road. Cabin was basic, but good size and very comfortable
A beautiful beach! The park is quiet and peaceful and the cabins, while old, are comfortable. The service was friendly and welcoming.
The most rude and unfriendly person at reception ever. Accommodation is ancient, tatty, uninviting and so expensive. NEVER again. So sad that its at such a beautiful location but was so not worth staying here for us.
3 stars ONLY because of the most beautiful location....accommodation is woeful....old, decrepit, unmaintained, units should be pulled down, beyond repair.Waterfront location, river, lagoon, beach all a few steps away....pristine, unspoilt and quiet.....the only reason to come here
Powered site for caravan $28 p/night, out of School Hols in July, good value, clean amenities, friendly lady on reception.
Pleasant park to stay at. Reasonably priced. Only 10 minutes to Nambucca Heads and only 38km to Coffs Harbour, with tonnes of tourist attractions.Valla Beach is privately owned. Amenities are clean. Only minutes stroll to the beach and the fishing is good. Valla Beach is a nice relaxing Park and theres no traffic noise. Infact the only noise is the lullaby rumble of the ocean in the night.
Old and very run down. Holes in floor covered by carpet. Fridge smelt of bait. Windows dont close. All facilities need a fix up. Cabin smells.
We stayed in one of their cabins 10 years ago and it is obvious that minimal maintenance has been done since. Very disappointing!
One of my most favourite places, situated next to the creek and very close walk to the beach. The staff are all accommodating and friendly, The woodshed Bistro offer a great varied menu, The bar has a great atmosphere. Very relaxing quiet accommodation. Family friendly, the kids love the pool. 5 stars. Highly recommend.
Been coming to valla beach tourist park for 10 years now at christmas time and i am always completely satisfied and happy after a holiday there but this year may well be my last!! I was very disappointed with the amenities we had constant hot water issues and the toilets were fairly dirty. The most disappointing thing was the fact that they have completely closed the woolshed which means No bar No bingo No kids activities at all and most importantly no socializing with friends and family in the woolshed. Oh and another concern was the camp sites close to the bridge to the beach had exposed old conduits and dome of them were well above the grounds surface and very sharp edges.
OK nice and quiet considering it is middle of Xmas family park, close to unpatrolled beach, showing its age though that is not necessarily a bad thing. Cabins we stayed in were un air-conditioned though sea breeze made it comfortable, not enough power points for the 21st century and wouldnt rate very high for cleanliness.
Extremely poor since new management have taken over. Woolshed has been shutdown. No entertainment provided for kids, nil entertainment provided for New Years. Bins were overflowing with garbage and were only emptied once a week. Amenities buildings were poorly maintained and frequent hotwater issues experienced. Would not recommend staying at this park.
Great place to stay with beach just a stone throw away and lovely staff and owners ππππΎππ¦πΊ cant seem to move elsewhere ATM always coming back and our little dog is always welcome here except on certain times ππ just adore the staff and place!!
Great spot with the estuary (from the Pacific Oceanof Deep Water Creek running past the park. Just a couple of minutes walk across the footbridge and your "there," at the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Great location. Friendly staff. But facilities are showing wear and tear and age. But you will not find a better place with fishing, boating, camping, surfing, walking and all round picturesque spot. Nature at its best...
The sites are nice and green with bitumen roads so no dust and dirt to worry about. The amenities are roomy and clean and great water pressure coming into the caravan.Just outside the tourist park is a park with a bridge over Deep Creek with easy access to a beautiful beach. The park is also pet friendly.A great place to stay
Toilet Doors are DISGUSTING, need a GOOD clean! We stayed here 5 nights, plenty of space for vans etc. Close to beach. Clean pool.Showers are AWFUL, I looked at the showerhead, and thought, "great, plenty of water will come out of those"...it does but, a WARNING...you need to turn the HOT tap on FULL bore, the turn the cold a SMIDGEN, to have a decent shower. BEWARE if other showers are in use, same time as you."CLEANING: I was in the toilet block this morning, when they were supposedly being cleaned. A bit of disinfectant is poured into the loos, then flushed. Toilet seat, cistern and doors are NOT wiped, the grime on the doors gives one the "heeby geebies! YUCK! I went to use a loo STRAIGHT AFTER it had been "cleaned", as usual I wiped the toilet seat BEFORE use, the paper came away DRY.Would I stay again...no way.Management need to ensure the Cleaners ARE CLEANING the abultion blocks PROPERLY!
Well, as we arrived it scared us a bit as we r first time caravaners, the streets are small. But our 26 foot van was able to fit. We arrived at the park and again really tight turns, but we got our van in the smallest spot without much trouble. The place its self is beautiful, the facilities pool playground very clean, staff had fast easy book ins. The beach is straight across the Rd. Perfect for the sunset.
After staying at Valla Beach C/van park, apart from the old and rundown cabins which should be replaced my grandaughter unfortunately left toys behind , we sent an express bag so they could be sent back, it took a week for the the reception staff to put that bag in the post (prepaid and addressednot very good customer service. The location is excellent but work needs to be done not only on the cabins but staff as well.Lyn
Great location, well equipped amenities, fantastic food with great value at the local. You wont be disappointed! The kookaburra, rabbits, ducks and wallabies even enjoy this place.
