Vale Figueiras Beach - Beach in Portimao, Portugal
Nice beach. However, dont expect toilets and restaurants, they dont have any of that. Great place for surfing though!
Really nice spot! The beach is very busy, so come early in the morning. But afterwards you will enjoy this beautiful bay. Also the parking slot on the top is nice for a night in the camper - we didnt have any problems from the GNR or somebody else.
Beautiful beach.
Enjoy the Algarve’s wild Vale de Figueira beach. The amazing white sand beach (like all or almost all in the Algarveand the clean Atlantic waters, I think, will not leave you indifferent. There aren’t many people on the beach, and most surfing schools congregate at the entrance to the beach, so for a few hundred you can enjoy each other’s naked freedom and tranquility on a summer beach. Nudity, by the way, is legal on this beach. There are no lifeguards, toilets or snacks on the beach, but the beauty of the beach and the wildlife is the perfect combination for complete relaxation and bliss. Enjoy the beautiful beach and naked body and soul.
Such a beautiful and powerful place to watch the sun set into the Atlantic Ocean...
What a beautiful beach, perfectly remote and great for surfing!
Beautiful beach with great surfing conditions.
Long stretch beach with good surfing spots but some rocks in the sea. Ok road to get there
Amazing view
Beautiful surf and walking beach. Unpaved dirt road to access the beach. TIP: Small cars not recommended because of road. Bring everything you need -- theres nothing out here!
Great beach go here every weekend, bad road though
A remote beautiful beach. Well worth the drive down the long bumpy dusty track.
West coast super surf vibesAwesome waves during all year aroundDificult acess
Excellent beach, great for surfers!
If you are looking for Praia de Vale Figueiras you need to be adventurous. Following Google Maps will take you off the main road and through a small residential area. Soon after though the pavement ends and the area becomes farmland. If you are intrepid and keep going, the pavement ends becoming gravel. You then notice all signs of modern life slowly disappear. Continuing you descend down a steep gravel road that you trust is leading to beach. After 2.5 kilometers and the loss of cell service anxiety is high. Just at the point you are considering turning around, you see pavement again. As you turn onto the blacktop, you realize that you are in the parking lot for the beach. A short walk leads Praia de Vale Figueiras you to your reward, the amazingly beautiful Praia de Vale Figueiras. Take it all in!
hidden and beautiful
Great spot
Wonderfull !
My favourite secret beach. The most beautiful wild beach at the Algarve.

Beautiful beach
King of surf
Surf beach favoured by the surf schools
Lovely beach in a natural park, you can surf here but expect some big waves
Great beach
Beautiful place. It would be nice to have toilets over there.
Such a fantastic beach. The place to go surfing. Fun drive to the place. A must see
Beautiful clean beach.
Hidden gem
Very windy all the time. Cold and rough sea. Plastic everywhere. Smelly as industrial discharges nearby
Loved it
Very good
Nothing there, no café restaurant or toilets. Bring anything you need, leave nothing behind.
Great place to surf, bit rocky but fine when tide is out.
Awesome
Off the beaten track - tho the surf schools still find it
Great for surfing but there are no amenities like toilets. The road to it has bad pot holes so I wouldnt attempt the drive if your car has low ground clearance.
Great beach for waves! Not good for those that dont like driving off-road.
Brutal ...
Amazing beach with great conditions for surfing.
Nice and quiet beach and surf spot
Beautiful beach. We went there with bikes. Was not the best idea.😁 but great adventure. The beach has no cafes, but there is a good size parking place and trash boxes. Still a lot of organizated surfer groups come here. While being here I did little bit of beach cleaning.Picture- the way to the beach
Nice beach with moderate access
Wonderful place!!!
Great natural beach & waves
Large beautiful beach thats tricky to find but not usually busy. Apparently great for surfing. We went to the to of the hill south of it for great views.
I found this one to be one of the most impressive beaches at the whole westcoast in Southern Portugal. A bit tricky to reach, you will fine amazingly long but empty tidy beaches which are too scenic to believe. Make sure you bring your camera!
Good for surfing
Great beach! Not to crowded and great waves especailly when theres offshore wind. Go for the right hander.
Ok
