Valby Vandkulturhus - Water park in Hvidovre, Denmark
Nice place to relax if you cannot go to the near by sea. It includes also a little water park and a spa area.
Great place for a price, however the saunas are mostly cold
Nice little place to bring the family
Amazing. Ian M, join me next time
Always a fun time! At a nice price for what you get! Water slide, multiple pools, multiple different saunas. Nice staff and comfortably tempered water.
Great sauna and pool facilities
It is a nice spacious place with very friendlyand serviceminded staff, but the hot pool was very quickly crowded on the Saturday morning we went. The entrance price is fair enough, but with DKK 30 extra for the hot pool makes it a bit expensive visit!
Inexpensive, accessible, and the saunas are great (quieter if you stay in the ones within the change room).Avoid the hot tub - not hot, and filled with children. That part was bizarre.
Ukrainian must be strong here because here rules are very strictly not like a Ukraine. Dont use mobile in the swiming pool area.
Swimming pool for having fun, no much space for swimming sport
It is always a lot of fun there.
Best swimming pool in Copenhagen, also very good facility and relatively cheap
Nice pool and sauna. Really helpful staff too
Really cool swimming pool And slide I liked it very much but there was a annoying Staff member
Super sweet and dedicated staff and nice clean swim hall.
Absolutely lovely! 2 saunas and a light therapy room for wellness along with swimming pools, a waterslide and a rope climbing water wall! I highly recommend the hot water pool add-on for 30kr. Enjoy!
A kids place. Not a place for swimmers. The “lanes” are filled with kids and the staff do not try to keep order.Nice and clean
Summer vacation :week 28,29 and 30. Its fully closed, but nothing has been updated online. So i wasted my time coming here to see it closed.
Highly recommended for family with kids.
Its a very nice swimming pool.Well equipped and several choices for wellness. The main pool is not big and just have 2 lanes for professionals. There rest is full of kids , playing in the water. There is a very good warm water pool with additional charge which is amazing for therapy but unfortunately you have less chance to find there not crowded.Sometimes its full of infants and kids, making lots of noise. And along with their parents, just disturb your excersises with minding.Sometimes, kids vomit or piss in the water which cause the pool to be closed for 48 hours. If it happens during your visit, you will be out of the pool with no return of money. So if you are lucky to find there empty, then its excellent otherwise is terrible. There are three wonderful Saunas.Sometime they run Saunagus which is very popular.I have never understood why people go to such a hot weather for 1.5 hours ! But they are happy with that. There is no reception in the entrance and everything is done by ticketing machine. If you need help, call the staff. They are very helpful and polite.
Very nice spot, it is very new and well maintained but it is a little on the expensive side and to get upstairs for the warm basin you have to cross a bridge that might be hard to cross without slipping with a baby. They also dont tell you about that option when you go there with a baby and you have to buy special admition
Some fun activities for the children, but a little crowded. The staff is not very friendly. One of the lifeguards smelled unwashed. Not very nice. You have to pay extra to enter the wellness area, but there are no signs with that information. Doesnt really make sense, since its all one open area, and there are kids everywhere. It would be better to make it one price for all areas and leave it open.
I love that it has a swimming pool for my bf, hot water pool for me and shared sauna(1 big classic one, and two smaller light and aromatherapyfor both of us.Often full of children. I suggest checking a web page if everything is ok.
My kids love this place the only thing I can say against it is that the water in the small kids pool is too cold some times
There main pool has only 2 lanes for swimming sometimes its too crowded, but generally its the best pool for babies and families in CPH
Its a great place, perfect for teaching your young one how to swim, while also allowing lane swimmers space to work out and practice. My two problems are the showers, that are too hot and very annoying to turn of and on, and the pricing, which lends little to no possibility of "being a regular", requires upgrade tickets for certain facilities, and is overall just pretty expensive.
Different water facilities and different depth of water that is suitable for all different age group
Its easy, nice good experience each time. Infrared sauna, relaxing and refreshing. Added 2 month later: ( I kind of regret that I wrote so favorable about it and so many people saw my review, because last time I went to this place, there were so many people there, and we could not even get a space in the infrared sauna)
It was nice, a bit smaller than some of the other ones around. Good price and friendly staff if you need it. They could use a few more water features.
The showers stink of piss. The pool for kids is slippery in the bottom. Like mossy sort of slippery.
Our kids love it. The problem is getting them out. Just remember to bring the correct togs for toddlers or they cant go in
Great pool, specially for children. It has a nice slide and waterfalls to be climbed, toys and life vest for the smallest ones.
Great value! Children under 7 dont pay and there is enough excitement for the family for the 1.5 hours that the ticket lasts. Lockers in the change room are free.
Great public swimming pool with a warm water pool for babies. Bring your own swimming diapers because the venue doesnt sell any.
One of the biggest swimming pools in Copenhagen/Denmark with three pools, children, adults and warm pool. Sadly, its wont get high point when you compare it with other European countries swimming pools. We have been there many times during the last two years. Floors are always dirty, full of clumps of hair and black and white pieces of dirt, both inside shower room and out beside pools. They have a nudity rule inside shower room that you cant go under water with your swimming wear on yourself! You have to be completely naked, and if they "catch" you with your swimming wear under shower, the stuff shout in front of other people and tell you that take your swimming pants off and it is your problem if you have a different religion! Seriously, I understand the culture, however not wanting to be naked in front of your son or daughter or other people doesnt always mean you defend and have a religion. So this "supposedly" worker comes with big piercing in both ears, and talks loudly in front of other visitors, and tells me to take my swimming pants off while under shower, and with a big grim on his lips. Strangely writing to the CEO got me the same answer and backing up the pierce worker instead of having to understand the visitors. When I wrote that the person working there didnt have right to talk like that to me, she wrote back that he has right to do so with every visitor! Its about respecting people who visit a public place. Just look at swimming pools in Germany and learn something from them. Even in Germany, there are private rooms to change your clothes if someone wishes to do so in private. I am sure Germans dont have private rooms because of religion, but because they respect that not everyone likes to be nude in public. Here in valby vand kulturhus you dont have that option. Instead, you have two toilets beside each other in the shower room! (they could at least make one of them a private place to change underwear. But there is hope as the stuff call it. You can ask them to give you a black wet dirty skirt to wear under the showers if you insist you dont want the nudity. Yes, its not a joke, they give you a black short wet skirt to put on, like their wet ones which other people have used before you is cleaner than your dry swimming wear. they stamp you like a crazy person. If you can accept all these, and the dirt you have to constantly be on look out not to walk on them, and the white patches on the walls in corners of the pools, the pools are nice and big, as I wrote before this is one of the biggest pools in the capital. For us as a family, I give them 2 stars because of the whole package and the way they talk and treat people.
Good facilities. Note, only ticket machines now. No service desk with sale of eg. swimming clothes
Good quality medium size swimming pool. There is a 25 m pool, warm water pool, baby pool and relax area with saunas. Clean and well desinged change rooms. There is no change rooms for families. Theres only one slide.💧
Great value. Dont miss the hottub upstairs. I didnt notice it on my first visit because it was so big I thought it was just another pool.
Great place to swim, play, and have fun (particularly if you go there with children)
Nice welcome, kind and efficient staff, wonderful atmosphere-positive energy, dynamic and at the same time privacy friendly, many water enjoyable effects all over the place, fun as well as sports and recreation, even found therapeutic water tools for my injured knee. Many thanks and deep appreciation!
Great pool for adults and kids. Make sure to bring cash, if you dont live or work in Denmark (as they only take DKK bank cards). Great price. Great staff. Our kids had a blast with the water slide and the multiple pools. A great place to visit if you need to have a day of swimming and/or relaxing from just sightseeing.
ONLY Dankort, NO MobilePay.On wknds it could be open a bit longer. But great facility and personnel!
The pool is nice, but dont go when they have saunagus! At that time the wellness area gets crowded with lots of noisy people. Moreover, you cant use neither the big sauna (its reserved for themnor the light therapy room (because the light disturbs their experience which is utterly ridiculous)
Nice place to come and play and relax, not the best place for swimming for a long time. Many kids on the weekends. Buy the extra pass to the warm water and sauna area.
Extremely nice, clean and well-kept dressing rooms. Fun activities and pools for kids. The warm pool for both grownups and kids is a real treat (costs extra)
Go here as often as I can. Extremely affordable, ok pools. The air temperature is a bit chilly and its pretty packed if you dont go there at the right hours.
I think this is the best place to swim in Copenhagen for kids. Theres a big pool for swimming/lanes, a hot water spa area and a kids pool. Additionally theres saunas, artificial light and other spa services.
Great local pool with 25m pools for swimming and play area for having fun. It feel new and has many opportunities. Kiddy pool for the smallest ones.
This is almost like a mini water park. A 25m pool is sides with a waterfall, a short stream, and a waterslide.
One of the newest indoor pools in Copenhagen, and one of the best in my opinion - super-clean, with many options, a lot of different saunas, coffee place and amazing design. Two pools (the one upstairs is the warm one), kid friendly, professional swimmer friendly, plus games and slides!
