Vahap Usta Et Restaurant - Meat dish restaurant in Antalya, Turkey
The ambience is good, waiters are okay, but the key ingredient - meat - is plain bad.I order a Dallas steak and it had a taste of spoiled meat. Clearly, this place is overhyped.
Visited this place twice during our week stay. Food and service was excellent. Dont hesitate and just reserve a table before hand. The waiter who served us spoke good english which is a plus definitely.
Listened to the raving reviews and decided to eat here during our recent 5-day stay in antalya. Unfortunately as others have mentioned, the customer service is a huge let down. The men that waited our table were absolutely miserable, not one smile between them. They didn’t engage us nor did they have any sense of warmth. This was a shame as the food itself was pretty delicious (the soup brought out at the start was divine!), but this cold customer service really brings the whole experience down. Also, i find it very strange for them to not show prices on their menu? This doesn’t seem honest. The only staff member that actually smiled was a gentleman brought over to us to translate something in english. He was so sweet and had a wonderful vibe. Vahap Staff members; take note and be more like him!
Absolutely not tasty food. Only lamb chops was good!
unscrupulous scammers work here. It is better not to visit this place - you will certainly be deceived, these people are not ashamed, they have neither shame nor conscience
Sad experience the women waiting in the front asked us if we had a reservation answering no her reply was I have to let you wait 15-30 minutes. No issue with saying this but if you work in a place like that you need to know how to talk and maybe learn how to smile. No matter how good your food is if you can’t manage new incoming customers in a friendly manner and treat them as if they won’t pay a dime later on you have no clue of what a good business is. I dare you try this in countries where customer satisfaction is priority.
We tried many of the sides and the chicken kabob. Everything was delicious! Service was excellent. Can’t wait to try a burger and more of their salads.
Delicious food (enormous choice of meat meals), extraordinary good service.Highly recommended.
Only place in antalya that you can find real steaks specially if you are a fan of medium rareHighly recommended
Best steak in Turkey. Just be sure to make sure they understand what you want and the way you want it cooked
Wow this place!! Low prices, huge menu, large portions, delicious food! Service was quick despite the restaurant being packed.Highly recommend for local food!
We arrived at Vahap Usta with high hopes - this seemed to be the hottest ticket in town. A place where high quality meat meets a high quality experience. Sadly, the latter was sorely lacking.Despite having reserved 2 nights before, we were placed next to a massive air-conditioning vent blowing cold air out above us. Our first waiter said it wont impact us, but we refused to sit down until another waiter turned it off. Within 2 minutes of sitting down, having barely perused the menu, we were asked if wed like to order. Not yet, we responded. Another nudge came 3 minutes later. No, were still looking, we replied. The third prompt was more subtle, the waiter stood close to our table like it was the technical area for a football coach and barked orders into a walkie-talkie - not exactly exuding 5* ambience.Starters arrived quickly, which is usually welcome but its accompanied by this hurried energy of grabbing plates off the table as if you should power through your meal. Despite the air of trying to rush guests, our sarma beyti main took 40 minutes to arrive between our other main. No indication of why there is a delay. Only when I protested did the waiter take anything seriously. The quality of the lamb chops were excellent but be warned, the portions are small. Our personal experience? We had a much better experience at Kalander next door with their offer of live music, better food and a lovely, kind waiter.
The service was AWFULLY AWFUL. Waiter didn’t want to explain anything on the menu and the menu isn’t very clear as English is not so good in Turkey. They charged me for something extra and the waiter was very hostile and up close. We had a big argument so i asked for the owner who turned out to be very rude and hungry for $ as well. Ended up paying the bill and told them i would leave a bad review and that this is definitely not the way a 5 star restaurant should be acting like. They didn’t seem to care. If they serve gold on a plate i still WOULD NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. Avoid the place at any cost no matter how good the food is… attached are some pictures of the waiters and another family that had a big fight with the waiter as well after we left.
Very bad service and bad food we didnt finished our food it was not good. We have been to a lot off restaurants in antalya but this one is the worse off all. Carpacio slices like beef to thick taste not good not fresh meat never again
This is the perfect place if you are looking for a place with welcoming Staff (knows englishand like good food. Might be pricey. But not to pricey of you think about the taste. Come here if you like high end food with good waiters. Thank you for the good
For a restaurant that has meat in display fridges the staff should be educated about the cuts of meat available. Our waiter was arrogant and quite misinformed. He didn’t know what a rib steak was and just kept recommending the “New York strip with no fat for the lady” when we clearly stated we wanted a rib steak with fat on it as the menu wasn’t clear. He didn’t know where on the cow the cuts came from it was a shambles really. He spoke English so there wasn’t a language barrier to blame.Soups were brought to the table without us requesting them or even being asked and they gave extra (when one of the guests was a babyso clearly just trying to squeeze a few more liras out of us.The beef carpaccio was tasty but nothing to return to the restaurant for. One of the staff members were nice enough to help with my baby however overall I felt we were treated differently being foreign customers. We had a reservation and were still made to wait as other groups walked straight in.As there weren’t prices on all the dishes we were charged whatever suited the waiter basically. We were seated by the bar & the staff smashed a glass right behind our heads and didn’t apologise for it at all the glass went under our chairs and it was quite uncomfortable especially as we had 3 young children with us.Not a good experience and will definitely not be returning.
Best restaurant in Antalya. Great tasty food with reasonable prices. Very kind staff. Special thanks to Faisal who made us feel at home and another waiter (we missed his namemade us feel really special. Thank you so much and we hope Vahap opens in Egypt :).
My wife ordered spaghetti bonfilét. It was served with no pasta. We never got the pasta. Entrees served before the hors doeuvre or starter. There are no prices on the menu, the digital menu was not working, and the waiter offered to tell us prices but never did. The 600 Lira bottle of wine we asked for was unavailable, so the waiter instead brought us a lower quality 250 Lira bottle of wine that was not the same type or close. At the end of this rushed fiasco the waiter demanded a 400 Lira tip on a 720 Lira bill when our intent was to give 200 Lira considering that despite the problems we encountered, the service and food were solid, which is utterly inexcusable behavior not considering the rushing of our meal and the mistakes made. All of this being said, the food was great and I do not hold the kitchen accountable for our terrible experience, but this was the worst serving experience we have had in Antalya.EDIT: In case this is actually seen by the owners, we had two waiters simultaneously over the course of the night and the younger, very tall waiter was very polite, professional and did a great job. All of our problems stemmed from the shorter, older waiter.
A more than wonderful restaurant, the witters were very friendly, the food was so delicious, and above all, they were very generous! I enjoyed my time with them
You have to make a reservation before, reasonable prices good food good service. Worth to try.
The meat was great! Salad with avocado was fantastic! The service was fast and politeThere is a baby chair
Overall nice Kebap and starters choice. Restaurant offers also a dry-aged steaks. However, If youre looking for a good steak - better find another place. I ordered a dry-aged T-bone stake and asked to make it medium. After some expectation - the steak brought to me was super-well-well done, tasted like a shoe sole. Definitely the dinner was spoiled.
A lot of pathos, but I have not come across such bad service for a long time.1We booked a table for a time, but at the entrance they told us to wait until it was free.2They did not offer water to the child, only to adults. The waiter was rude.3Near our table was a table of waiters, which was always dirty.4Beverages (juices and colawere carried for more than 30 minutes, brought only after a reminder, while they asked if we had drunk them already.5Apparently the largest piece of meat was chosen, initially they said that it would be 300-400 grams, in the end 550 grams. Usually in the restaurants offer to choose a piece, especially since there is a showcase. There are no questions about the meat itself, it was delicious.6There are no prices on the menu.7English is not spoken, the menu is not entirely in English, there are Turkish words. From Turkish "tavalar" was translated to us as "chicken". In fact, we received a dish of meat, the waiter suggested that it was made of beef.Dont recommend!
Extremely bad experience. The food tasted strange, had a long wait for it to even come and we were charged for things that should be complementary. Why give out bread and soup at the beginning and not indicate that it costs or pour water into our glasses and not mention it either? I do not recommend at all.
Food was nice, but I think they increased my bill because I was british. The bill was hand amended and ended up paying 50% more than the original unamended bill. The reason I think this is that i asked for menus in English and Arabic repeatedly but only got an English one even though he offered both to us.The Menu itself was hand amended with pen which I thought was fine given the current increase in living costs ect, but the receipt also had hand amendments was very sketchy.I could be wrong but my family also felt something sketchy was going on.
Nice looking interior open presentation of kitchen and the meat they are serving. The service was what I expect from a good restaurant.Definitely the best experience so far in Antalya. The selection is just right not too much what I think is very important.I ordered Tenderloin Lokum what was great and as well I had stuffed wine leaves I actually came for the cabbage ones that they did not had today what was a bit disappointed but it just speaks for freshness and they must be very good as they finished before I had the chance to try them.Thank you for this nice experience I will definitely come back
What an amazing experience at Vahap Usta Restaurant. If you are into your streaks you have to try this place. Amazing food and the service by Mehmet Yalçin was phenomenon. If I wasnt exploring Antalya I would eat here everyday. Çok teşekkür ederim Mr Mehmet Yalcin 👍🏼
Amazing dining experience! Great food, atmosphere, service and pricing!Superb! Highly recommend trying the Lamb Spareribs and Mix Grill!
The restaurant itself is nice but the food & the service were awful. İt took forever to have the food ready .. the glasses & utensils were dirty. İ dont recommend this place and will not go there again. A full of mess!!
Horrible service staff -000000, ugly restaurant with small steaks over £40. Overly priced. We ended up in the restaurant next door which was amazing.
#1 BEST kabob in Antalya. The lentil soup palate warmer was quite tasty. . Arugula salad was very good. I had the mixed kabob and she had the mushroom and lamb. Pistachio Katmer with Ice Cream? Fantastic. We also had great service from the restaurant manager, who took wonderful care of us. Highly recommended.
The best kebab we had in Antalya. But I do want to note that the service wasn’t that great. It felt rushed and our host seemed a little annoyed. Cest la vie, the food was amazing. Go here for the freshest meat and perfectly done kebabs.
Very nice restaurant - the food was very tasty, but probably not the best we had in Antalya. Would still come back since we enjoyed our evening there.
Service is terrible, total chaos inside, the food is somewhat good, but the attitude to guests is worse then in McDonalds. Charged 40TL for 2 “soup of the day” which were brought without asking, and 10TL for water, which we didn’t ask as well. When comforted about this, all the manager said “but you drank the water and ate the soup, so?” very rudely.Stay away, the place is a disaster
The menu design is really weird and big and there is no pictures of the dishes that they are serving , it is difficult to order something good from the menu .
This is my best ever restaurant in all Turkey. Amazing food, amazing management, amazing atmosphere, i do recommend to order baklava and avocado salad 😍😍
Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. The lamb is a must have!I would refrain from saying where you are from though and always order from the menu to know exactly how much your bill should be.
Restaurant had good service and ambiance however the main thing the food was not good. We got told by the Managter in a suit that he would order for us and take care of us by getting us some started and then a mix grill when we didnt even have enough time to look at the menu. The mix grill had too much food for 3 adults to eat and each item charged separately which we didnt expect and it got cold quickly as we had it bought to out table all at once. However the dessert was nice however the main cost for us was the mix grill which was at best 2/5. The restaurant was the most expensive we went to in Analya and left unsatisfied.
We, a group of 3 ladies had lunch at this restaurant yesterday. The atmosfere in the restaurant was pleasant. The food was fine though shashlyk was a bit chewy. The reason I gave only 2 stars for services is the waiter, who speaks some Russian. We found the way he served us unprofessional: casual, unpolite, beaking into our conversation. In other word disrespectful. Other staff was great. Polite, quick, dressed well.Unfortunately we dont know his name. Would appreciate if you have a talk to this particular waiter.Wish your business success and prosperity.
Excellent Turkish meat dishes and appetizers. Friendly and helpful server.
The first restuarant we went to when we arrived in Turkey, it is famous for meat, the aged beef is amazing, must try, also avocado salads, we loved it so much. For kebab, I love the chicken one most. It is good service, price and quality of food
Decent restaurant serving authentic Turkish cuisine. Tried multiple dishes including the mixed grill and beity kebap. Food quality is excellent yet well priced… Very clean…Only one issue… communication with staff was difficult as no one spoke English… that was so frustrating… Staff didn’t put effort to help and were not patient enough…
This is the best restaurant in Antalya! The whole experience was perfect from the minute I entered the restaurant until I left.Excellent service with attention to detail. The food was incredibly good. The atmosphere was great. Prices were just right! And desserts were so so good.Mehmet was the best server ever! He spoke English very well and was very accommodating.I went to many restaurants in Antalya and nothing compares to this one.
Visited this place in October 2019 for team dinner. This is one of the best vegetarian of my life. All dishes were so tempting and so good that you can not resist. The bread, dishes with yogurt, humus etc. was so amazing. I would love to visit this place again if I will get the chance.Restaurant has very good indoor and outdoor sitting place. You can enjoy the ambiance. There were more choices for meat eaters. Book a valentine table if you are going with someone special.
While in Antalya, we were told that Vahap is one of the best steak and Kabab places in The city so my family and I decided to try it on our last day.Upon walking in, we saw the display of mouthwatering meat cuts. We were then seated at our table and given English menus. I wish the menu language facilitated the process of ordering as there were no descriptions to the platter names nor were there pictures and there were many language mistakes that made ordering more difficult. The waiter tried to help, but he could not speak English and he was getting frustrated quickly 😑 anyway, we managed to order three appetizers plus a salad and four steaks and desert. Here is the feedback:1. Appetizer one: in the provided pictures, red peppers prepared in a special way and topped with yoghurt. That dish gets supper full marks, very very tasty. 10/102. Appetizer two: shredded cucumbers mixed with yoghurt and topped with cracked wheat or semolina or something like that. Also very tasty 9/103. Appetizer three: grape leaves with rice and topped with yoghurt. Very good. 8/104. Salad: 8/105. Steak one: grilled fillets. Well prepared and tender but lacked flavor. 8/106. Dry aged T Bone: I ordered this steak and had high expectations but I did not like it at all. I thought the aging would make it tender, but it was sooooooo chewy. Didn’t finish it. 2/107. Desert 1: baklava with ice cream. Awesome and gets 10/108. Desert 2: kunefe. Awesome and gets 10/10Overall, I would probably revisit but I would certainly not order the T Bone steak. The prices were very reasonable. All the above was for 950 Turkish Lira (about 110 USD).
The taste is quite good and the environment and waitresses were convenient nevertheless the steak was very well done even though I specified it to be medium rare. We had a mixed up in orders and one plate came after 40 mins so we were very annoyed.Prices are fair but the amount of food advertised is less than the one given. All in all it’s a good experience
One of the best places in Antaliya avakado salat 🔝 meats is very tasty and juicy 🤤 Respect for the owner vahab the service is perfect. Keep it up👍👍👍
We eat here several times over our 2 months stay in Konyaalti. Service was most of the time top and the steaks just amazing. Steak lovers must visit. Also try the mandel rice in the evening, delicious.
We visit for lunch time, we order dry age meat ( i dont remeber the name it is very delicious, you also can order wine or beer ( not all restaurants in Turkey serve alcohol ).Place is easy for parking also have valet.Price is reasonable, it charge by how many grams you order.
We visited around dinner time on a Thursday. It wasnt very crowded. We were seated immediately outside. Make sure you stop by the meat fridges by the entrance. Workers explained the difference between the kinds of meat. They have a menu in English! Waiters speak enough English to take your orders. They are knowledgeable about the menu and were able to explain the difference between plates. The service was very quick. Make sure you get the tenderloin. It is the best one yet. So juicy and tender. They offer soup at first and watermelon towards the end on the house. We also had a dessert (not kunafa the other one with pistachiosand it is SO GOOD. All in all this restaurant is very recommended if you are a meat lover in Antalya!
