Vacation Home Fagravik in Akureyri

Saw Aurora Borealis last night from the porch. It was a semi-cloudy night, but through the clouds there were many northern lights occurrences. Such an amazing sight (sorry for my photo taking skills:)The place overall is really nice, not too far from Akureyri downtown, but a solid distance to enjoy the nature, and if you are lucky see Aurora Borealis since it’s away from the city lights. The hosts are really great - since I’ve managed to lock us out of the house, I’ve reached out to them and they’ve sent us help in no time (not the first guests that did this). ☺️ The houses are quite sufficient for your stay, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are solid, and it wasn’t cold (we stayed in mid September, with two cold days).The WiFi is decent, sufficient for all our needs during our stay. The TV does not have Netflix, so that’s maybe an area to improve :)There was a hot tub available, we didn’t use it but I guess it could be nice to enjoy the evening waiting for Aurora in this way.

Its a cute cottage, beautiful horses. Spacious for the most part.We booked through airbnb.. that had a $111 cleaning fee, fine. Im unsure why they feel like its okay to charge us $111 cleaning fee on airbnb for one night and then give us an extensive checklist for us to clean the entire house ourselves. The cleaning list is long and includes vacuuming under couches. Be realistic.The bathroom has little dust above the moldings and light switches, theres slight build up around the sink faucet. The garbage wasnt changed.How can you charge us to clean after ourselves and the place isnt even clean? LolThe TV has no connection apparently. The toilet seat is a little wobbly.Its also first come first serve, which is a little bizarre because we paid like everyone else, 3 guests got 1 bed and 1 couch. Ridiculous.The lady at the desk was a bit rude to my friend when she was asking why there was only 2 towels for 3 guests?Its decent, but these things are really kind of wrong.You dont charge $111 for a cleaning fee for one night and let the guests clean up themselves. (Theres apparently a large fee also if we dont complete her checklist).Calling airbnb about this because its really something we are okay with.Oops forgot to mention!! The directions they provided were wrong and we had to wait 30 minutes to check ourselves in.

Stunning location, well equipped cabin...would recommend to anyone

Private, comfortable holiday home on the outskirts of Akureyri. Fabulous hot tub and stunning views

Simple vacations homes with view of the mountains and the fjord. The kitchen is small, but has everything one needs. Very quiet, but do note there is an outdoor light that cannot be turned off which is a bit inconvenient for seeing the aurora borealis. However the hot tube is glorious after a day of site seeing.

Genialne miejsce noclegowe. Cisza, piękne widoki. Można zwiedzać okolice Akurei i pograć w golfa też 😂😉

Richtig schnuckelig und die Nordlichter beobachten während man im Hot Pool sitzt ist unbezahlbar 😍

Nette Ferienhäuser mit “Hot Pool“. Gut zu finden. Nicht weit von Akureyri.

Stupendo appartamento con jacuzzi privato,signora molto disponibile e gentilissima ci ha accolti nonostante ora tarda,a 5min da Akureiri, consiliatissimo!!!!!

Ein sehr schönes Cottage incl. Aussen-Hotpot.Grosszügige Terasse und zweckmässig eingerichtet.Gerne wieder.

This is a hidden gem... We love it. Very new, very private, very cozy. The unit while it seems not well insulated, it was very warm while we were there. We had to open the windows to cool it down while the temperature outside was 34F.The location is convenient as it is just outside Akureyri. Easy to get to town for supplies.I would recommend this place for travelers coming to Akureyri area.

Wir waren im Februar 2019 hier.Ruhiger sehr gut gelegener Ort kurz nach Akureyri.Die Cottages sind praktisch ausgestattet.Der Hot Pot muss vor Benutzng gefüllt werden, aber kein Problem da es recht schnell geht.

Un peu décevant, quelques réparations nécessaires et divers services payants.Les + :- Chalet chaleureux, spacieux et bien équipé. à l’écart de la ville avec vue sur le fjord et la montagne.- Terrasse, barbecue et jacuzzi !Les moins :On a passé une nuit horrible : la vitre de la chambre cassée et fermant mal... quand il y a du vent c’est insupportable avec le store qui n’arrête pas de bouger. Et en plus il a fallu se lever tôt pour faire le ménage nous-même, sinon c’était 100€ de plus. Même pas de détartrant désinfectant ! Déjà que c’est assez cher comme ça c’est inadmissible !- Le robinet de l’évier qui est desserré et bouge dans tous les sens !- La porte du bac de douche qui se déboîte sans arrêt.- Wifi payant : 5€/ jour : scandaleux !

DONT EVER STAY HERE!!! In Bookings page they state the price for four persons (191,39 Euros). But in another sort of hidden page they specify they charge an extra for cleaning and bed linen. We ended up paying 349,74 Euros. That was for a one night stay. We left the place spotlessly clean, of course, but they charge in any case.

Total süsses Cottage mit Außenjacuzzi !! Super aufgeteilt und sehr gemütlich! Ausblick ist auch sehr schön!!!

Nice and spacy. 5 hours drive from Keflavik airport. We came to see and saw the Northern Light right there at the cottage!We are a family of seven and the cottage was spacious enough. Hot tub!
