VOYAGE in Penza

Nice hotel in central Penza. Great breakfast.

I do not know where to start,but her I go. I am just stating facts about my stay and not embellishing my story. I arrived here on a sunny afternoon on business. The parking area is covered in thick ice and when I got out of the car, I just started sliding down the hill. My interpreter and driver caught me and helped me to some clear asphalt from where I could get to the entrance. Once inside I discovered that there are no elevators, and I have a bad hip. Got to my room on second floor and found it so hot It was hard to breath. I had to move a desk to open the window. I went back to the desk and asked to lower the temp. in the room. I was told 5 minutes, but here it is three days later and so far no has come to anything about it, so I spend most of my time here with the window open inMarch! After three nights here, I have not had a visit from housekeeping. I had to ask for more shampoo packets from the front desk. The beds are very low to the floor and as hard as wood, remember I have a bad hip. They offer a nice breakfast buffet, but everything is cool when you take it from the serving container. My room came with one bottle of water and a coffee pot, but no coffee to make with the hot water. When I asked for another bottle of water, I was told to use the water cooler provided on each floor. Here it is Sunday morning and the. water cooler is empty. I went back down to the desk to inform the desk clerk and she said she knew it was empty. So I proceeded to have my cool breakfast and they are out of coffee so my options were to drink tea or have a glass of room remperature milk. I choose room temp water and after breakfast I proceeded to my room to spend a relaxing day on my bed or one of the two wooden ladder back chairs. I am quite sure that I will probably not elect to stay here on my next visit to Penza.
