VIDA VEGAN BISTRO in Cusco
Description
Privilege
The food is absolutely delicious and the owner is such a kind and honest person, its just a top notch place to visit if you’re a vegetarian. They give a small but free appetiser too.
MoreAmazing little vegan spot! Lots of interesting things on the menu. We loved trying the vegan take on ceviche and the pisco sour was great- so nice to be able to have these key Peruvian treats made vegan!
MoreWow so much foodBig portions, very filling and tastyWould definitely recommendWe had the vegan burger with Wednesday and a vegan hotdog with a side salad. They gave us a little chutney on the house
MoreThis is one of the BEST vegan restaurants in Cusco. Even if you are not vegan you should give a chance! Great food and great service. Going back to try the rest on the menu.
MoreFantastic food.Weve been to every vegan joint in town. There are a few with ridiculously slow service and some copy cars (avoid the places with canned mushrooms.)This is the real deal, with lots of Peruvian options.
MorePros: great experience and host who was very nice and welcoming. Food was interesting. All the menu is Vegan (!!!). Got additional appetizer for free.Cons: Seasoning was a bit weak/weird.Cant open the windows and its a bit stuffy.
MoreVeggie Burger and pinaple juice very disappointing.Plus waiter brings wrong dishes and pains to reckon it.Nice staff and place anyways
MoreCute bistro with seating downstairs and upstairs. Friendly staff and good tasting traditional Peruvian style and a variety of comfort food items.
MoreThis place is wonderful. Delicious food, gorgeous presentation, and extremely friendly staff. They put so much love into this food.
MoreGreat pizza and friendly staff.
One of the best restaurants I have visited in Peru! I absolutely loved the amazing, friendly service and the fantastic food. Their vegan burger was the best burger I have ever had (I got the La Cusqueña, I think it was called). I would definitely recommend Vida Vegan Bistro to anyone, vegan or not!
MoreAmazing, highly recommend. We were happy to come here multiple times during our stay. Very sweet staff and many inventive, yummy and healthy meals. Happy to come back again especially as soon there seems to be live music events and a balcony with view
MoreI ate a take on a traditional Peruvian dish with seitan, mixed vegetables and potatoes served with rice that was very tasty. Also, the beet lemonade was was refreshing and tasty as well. The service was personable and appreciated.
MoreWe came for lunch. Food was quickly served and dishes explained. Very tasteful food and lovely owner.
MoreSuch good food!! Had the burger and a hotdog and it was so good. The owner is a legend too, super nice and makes sure your having a good time!!
MoreDelicious vegan food, including Peruvian-style dishes! The seating and decor are also lovely, and the server was super attentive. Would 100% recommend!
MoreThe most amazing little vegan restaurant. The food was incredible with an entirely vegan menu with authentic vegan Peruvian food. Free board games available to play. The owner was so lovely and clearly very proud of his food and restaurant, he even brought us tasters for a new menu. Would highly recommend the visit, we’ll be going back tomorrow!
MoreWe had an amazing experience here! The food is delicious & the staff was really kind & helpful. We loved the mashed potatoes. Looking forward to going back!!*It’s in a little plaza. We missed it at first. They have a small space downstairs but there should be somewhere there that will show you where the dining tables are upstairs.
MoreThe owner is extremely dedicated to his craft. He taught us about the unique ingredients he uses and gave us free samples. The food blew us away - packed with flavor, beautiful presentation, and the vegan cheese (potato basedwas the best Ive ever had!
MoreWe had delicious, homemade food full of flavor. Service was friendly and attentive. Would recommend to anyone in Cusco!
MoreWe were disappointed with this restaurant. The portions were very small for the cost. We felt like we were kind of ripped off especially considering fruits and vegetables in Cusco are the cheapest at the market in all of Peru. The food tastes pretty good, but if you want to be filled up and satisfied, do not go here unless you want to spend a lot of money. Its probably 50% more expensive than other places in Cusco.
MoreThe food is so flavorful and delicious! Very friendly owner. I love the place!
The place is lovely and cozy, one of the best vegan pizzas I’ve ever had, everything delicious is made from scratch. Great service, the staff made sure we were comfortable and liked the food, they were really careful about any allergies. Overall I loved the food and service.
MoreSmall place but totally underrated in terms of food quality. Great and caring staff. The server made sure I was comfortable and the cook explained the dish and the ingredients used.
MoreThe food was just ok. If you are looking for pizza look elsewhere, the pizza here was a flat bread with a salad on top. I love veggie pizza but the sauce and veggies weren’t very flavorful, and the crust was disappointing, and cracker thin.
MoreDon’t be fooled by the food photos. The food isn’t as delicious as it may appear. Quite tasteless and odd ingredients on the pizza - sunflower seeds and mint.
MoreIt was the best vegan food experience I’ve had in Peru! In our dish were a lot of many delicious and healthy ingredients that we could eat almost everyday 😄💕🌱 And the owner was really kind and helpful 🌼 I totally recommend that restaurant !!! ❤️🔥😍
MoreWhile the restaurant had good service, I dont understand the high ratings. The restaurant is very much a hole in the wall but demands prices that are justified by some of the finer dining places in the city.I ordered something which was supposedly the house speciality. It was presented well, but I thought it tasted average and for a dish priced at 36 soles, left me hungry after too. I decided to get dessert elsewhere then.
MoreBest vegan burger. Nice and crunch chips with a range of different sauces. This place is absolutely amazing. Defiantly try it out if you are around !
MoreI heard it has the best vegan pizza but I didn’t believe it until I tried it… definitely the best pizza I’ve eaten. Everything is done from scratch and on demand, so give the team sometime to prepare ur food, you taste all the vegetables with the seeds and even the dough itself is delicious. Must visit when in Cusco whether ur vegan or not. Dantey is very attentive and sweet, he speaks Spanish and English. 5 stars for sure.
MoreFirst place I ate at in Cusco. The experience, the food, and the chef/owner were all so wonderful that I will definitely come back if I am ever in town.
MoreHumble hole in the wall bistro. Its literally tiny. But boy is the food great! Tried homemade chestnut milk for the first time in my life and I love it. Masterpiece was the veggie pizza though, absolutely stunning piece of culinary art. Three different dipping sauces delish as well. Beware though, its a lot and meant to be shared. Chef patiently explains about all the ingredients and production processes. So much attention to detail. Cant recommend highly enough. All cards accepted. Opening hour is more 2:30pm than 2pm.
MoreVida vegan bistro is quite literally a hole in the wall with only 6 seats in the middle, the kitchen in the front, and a bathroom in the back. I went in with my family so we had 5 people total but this restaurant was a great place to hang out for a bit with some provided games on the table. We ordered a lot of food (I wish I had more picturesbut everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered a pisco punch, a maraquya sour, the 3 flavor causa (picturedwith the saltado sandwich, saltado plate, and mushroom ceviche. The saltado had amazingly textured savory seitan, and the mushroom ceviche came with fresh oyster mushrooms that tasted out of this world. The Leche de Tigre that was in the ceviche was incredible and tasted so authentic. The man that ran the restaurant was so friendly and welcoming answering our questions and not getting overwhelmed by our orders. You can definitely feel the love that is put into this food.
MoreSome of the best food (vegan or notI’ve ever had. We had the vegan ceviche, made with mushrooms, and the pumpkin soup. Both were made from scratch in front of us and absolutely delightful. The food was thoughtfully put together and the chef hung out with us during our meal and answered our questions. I would absolutely recommend this place and will return to try other things. Edit-we liked it so much that we went back and took our friends! The food was beautiful and delicious
MoreThe best vegan pizza I have ever had. The ower was also lovely and gave me some chocolate cookies to try that he was considering adding on the menu.
MoreWe loved everything about our experience! Even though they were very busy, the gentleman working had good communication with us and we felt taken care of the entire time. Not only was the service great, but the food was top notch! We will be going back for sure!
MoreGreat vegan food and excellent service. Cozy atmosphere as there are only 2 tables. Would recommend this place to any vegan.
MoreWe had a great experience at Vida. It’s a lovely place where food is made with passion. Everything is made from scratch, from the sprouts that they grow themselves to the chutney. All is super flavorful and tasty. We also had the best pisco sour! I’m not big fan of pisco sour with egg white, but here the vegan option is the best I’ve ever had!
MoreHands down the best vegan pizza. One of the few restaurants open late that serves a wicked pisco. The owner was extremely generous and clearly has a passion for what he does.
MoreVida Vegan is delicious! The food is so flavorful and made with love. Everything is made from scratch- sauces, pizza dough, toppings. I’m not vegan and I highly recommend eating here even if you’re not vegan. The chef had us try some in-season produce and a chicha smoothie. It was a really personal experience in a small restaurant. Everything was reasonably priced and the chef should really charge more because I don’t know how we walked away with such an amazing meal for so cheap.
MoreFood was very tasty, service was exceptional. We had a couple of pizzas and a Mexican burger. Everything was super good, a real treat. Absolutely recommend.
MoreThis place is a gem. Tiny and cozy. I stopped for dessert, had a warm Quinua with fruits and a sweet sauce that blew my mind. They gave me a delicious small "starter" on the house made of veggies and avocado. I was sad I had already eaten because overall the menu looked creative and yummy. I could not go back to try a meal but its in my list for my next trip to Cusco.
MoreLovely restaurant. The first time I went in, I was quite sick at the time and it was cold at night in Cusco, gladly they had a warm fire pit.Best service, the waiter was really nice and attentive. The owner was nice too. The food was really good. Very rich flavor. I had the pasta, the food is beautifully decorated, the oyster mushroom so tasty. I loved the food here.Juice like Lemonada can be richer and better though. And they were so nice to give me their eco friendly reusable bag as a gift as I had eaten there quite many times. Now Im bringing this bag with me all the time for my vegetable grocery.Definitely recommend all the the veg lovers visit the restaurant. They run it with love.
MoreAbsolutely amazing... delicious food, you can tell how much love goes into each dish, and very friendly! Highly recommended
MoreMy only criticism would be that from a nutritional point of view, their dishes are fairly low in protein, not a lot of beans/tofu/chick peas etc. With that said, the food is inventive, delicious and beautiful, and I enjoyed my meal enormously. The service is also excellent, the waiter speaks perfect english.
MoreI wish i could give more stars to Vida Vegan Bistro. I tried almost everything in their menu and each time I was more impressed. The food is healthy, beautiful and delicious you can tell its cooked with love. Vidas amazing staff provide you with the highest quality service and they are passionate about what they do. Its refreshing to see a restaurant in Cusco is so environmentally conscious that only uses compostable to go boxes. Ive eaten in most of the vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Cusco and Vida Bistro has the highest quality food by far. If youre Vegan or just looking for a tasty food, give it a try, you wont be disappointed!
MoreWas looking forward to this meal as the reviews lauded the vegan food. Unfortunately the food was a fail, lacking flavor and defining mediocrity. I did finish the potatoes, and in fairness feel the rice was quite good as far as rice goes. One item we ordered was unavailable and the starter arrived after the main course. Although we used the menu specifically to show the server our order and he repeated it, there were still a couple of mishaps with beverages. He was very kind though and working the tables by himself. The location is our only the way and uphill - real considerations in high altitude Cusco! Where people tend not to spend extended time in Cusco, I would skip this restaurant as there are so many other great ones.
MoreExcellent vegan food! Large portion and wonderful staff. The hours in google map is inaccurate. The bistro is open everyday from 12 noon to 10pm, except Wednesday.
MoreDelicious vegan food. I almost never can eat a lasagna (lactoseintolerantbut here i could! And it was delicious (even had it twice). Games to play during waiting. Really fresh food! Waiters are very kind. Good music and even heating!
MoreThis place is heaven on earth for vegan or non-vegan food lovers ! Amazing Chef, nice sous-chef and warm atmosphere ! We had delicouse espinaca ravioli and seculant quinoa-sotto. We also tried the garlic bread- No comment ! Thank you for the fest and please keep spreading healthy food with art and love !
