VADUZ Citytrain AG - Tourist attraction in Appenzell, Switzerland
Best way to explore Vaduz is by Citytrain, with nice commentry on board.
A definite must-visit attraction in Vaduz, as the train brings you to the areas surrounding the capital that you otherwise would not visit. It takes you through the residential area, the Red House and the further stadium areas, while providing commentary in different languages through headphones. The route itself is also quite scenic, giving you different glimpses of the life in Vaduz and providing a brief background to them. If you like a live crash course to life in Vaduz and Liechtenstein, this train provides that. The prices costs about CHF11 for adults, but the price is definitely worth it for the 35 minute ride. Do however, to check for the tour timing, as it may vary, before purchasing your ticket at the counter.

A decent attempt to have a short and sweet trip across the city. This doesnโt go near to the vaduz castle but offers some good views of it along with other attractions. You get to listen to some interesting stories from history with a vintage background music.
PS: I visited on September 30th, when the service should have still been active at both times (response to the owner).DISAPPOINTED! Allegedly, there were supposed to be two rides. One at 13:30 and one at 16:30. I basically structured my day in Liechtenstein so that I could make the 16:30 one. The guide said it would be there and the ticket booth had a sign indicating that both times were valid. The problem? 16:30 came and went and no one showed up! Only like 15 minutes later does someone walk up to me and inform me that they only have a 13:30 ride now. Call me crazy, but if thats the case, maybe you could at least change the sign? Nothing fancy, just with a marker? No? Just a little suggestion for next time...Note: Also, I dont expect an apology, but try to shift the blame on me. Doesnt come off very nice.
Incredible place, the sightseeing is amazing.
It is an enjoyable trip down the city of Vaduz, with informative audio throughout. The drivers are polite, funny and helpful. The train in itself is cute and would be enjoyed especially by kids. Not a must-do thing, but a pleasant addition on your checklist.Washrooms and souvenir shops are available at the train station. Consider getting a Liechtenstein stamp on your passport as a souvenir, or go for a classic postcard.
Liechtenstein is a small country situated in the Alps, between Switzerland and Austria. Actually its a principality, thats what we learned. We visited its capital Vaduz on our Europe trip in 2014. Did some shopping in Vaduzs city center and strolled around. Then we hopped on to the Citytrain. Which is a very beautiful bright colored small train with 2 or 3 cars. It took around Vaduz and showed us the important places with live commentary giving information. We were surprised to hear the commentary in our mother tongue Hindi. As it was drizzling outside we could enjoy the city sights from the cozy city train. The ride is about some 45 minutes. The station also has clean toilets for tourists. We enjoyed the ride very much.๐๐ผ๐๐ป
Time passed by travelling this train and passed along the serene and the cleanest place i ever visited. The gteen orcherds with grape and apple trees in the houses are so beautifully decotated the houses.
Itโs fun to visit, we didnโt have time to see much. Of course we recommend getting your passport stamped (at the gift shop). Spend some time to get around, there are interesting things to see.
Shame that you have to book in low season would have liked to have been able to just jump on.
Nice ride through the city. Has an audio tour that plays in German and English, but the kids were too loud for us to hear it. Maybe more speakers or a louder volume would help.Had a photo stop at the red house and view of the castle.Enjoyable for adults and children.
Nice memory. The tram driver we went with even spoke few words in Marathi. Cherry on the top was his enthusiastic GANPATI BAPPA MORAYA.
Small but nice tour of the city. Better for older people as the city is on uneven landscape.
Near the place where you can buy this... I wasTold itโs cheaper to buy in Vaduz due to tax reason
Vaduz is the smallest city . You can get stamo on your passport by paying 3 euros each. Nice cute place to visit . They have toy train also.
It is a quick trip that gives you an idea of the place and shows you the spots you could explore once you are off the train.

Very small and lovely town, best location for tourist
Good train ride. Showed a part of Vaduz. A lots of scenery to see.
Vaduz. Nice and very clean city, nice view from the top of Castle road. The Vaduz Castle is closed, you dont see nothing there. You can see the Castle view very good from the city center of Vaduz.
A great way to have a visit of the city. Even though it is not a big place, but the train goes to the outer regions too. And it has audio guides of about 30 languages. But if you are with a bigger group, definitely have to book in advance otherwise you might not have room. Because of this, there might be a few trains in a row, fully booked with big groups, than you have to wait a few hours. It does not go up to the castle
Understand that it is one of the smallest countries. Well maintained clean city with scenic beauty.
