Urban Pie Los Angeles - Pizza restaurant in East Los Angeles, United States
I’ve never eaten at the actual location, but I’m pretty sure they also make a store bought oven pizza 🍕 and if it’s the same urban pie, it’s one of my favorite pizzas, I’ve never tasted a frozen pizza this good before. It makes in store pizza look horrible. The best pizza I’ve ever had that’s frozen. Literally better then 98% of dine in pizza spots.
I am a wedding planner so I have to luxury of experiencing a variety of caterers on a regular basis. I recently had the pleasure of working with Urban Pie and can honestly say they are a stand-out caterer! The staff was friendly, professional, and on top of every detail. Their food was delicious and their freshly made ice cream was a show stopper!
I have dined here several times during the quarantine and the upstairs patio is just lovely. The food is consistently fresh, the drinks are great, I only have great things to say about this place. My favorites are the shellfish plateau and fried calamari!
not really an original idea
Used Urban Pie for our wedding because we already knew and loved their pizza - definitely pilgrimage-worthy pizza, one of the best in the country if you know and love authentic woodfired neapolitan. At our wedding we came to love them even more for everything else they can do. They are passionate about what they do, and that makes their food creative, inspired, and delicious. They deserve a Michelin Star. Highly recommend.I have no idea what the taco reviews here on google are about... ignore those.
Best pizza
I work here
Im a wedding planner in Los Angeles. Best pizza in the city and best rate! Highly recommend Chef Jason and his crew.
Best pizza I have ever had! The wild mushroom and leek lasagna is probably the best thing I have eaten in ahile. Great service and an extremely user friendly quote form. Would definitely recommend!
Jason an outstanding chef,Great crew as well, truly love their wood fire pizza ovens.
Working with Urban Pie ended up being the most stressful part of our wedding, unfortunately. In the final weeks leading up to the wedding, we decided to have urban pie provide a bartender to serve drinks that we would provide. I wanted to speak to the bar staff to coordinate the drinks that we would bring, and let them know what we were mixing. Apparently this is a no-no (never heard of this- disappointed with bar staff to say the least. So day of, even with early arrival we had to postpone dinner by 20 minutes! Then we could only release one table (8-10 peopleevery 10 minutes and after the event they blamed the DJ - huh? After they dismissed my concerns and told me they do this all the time they can make everything for my guests - total fail. I had been at another wedding with wood fired pizza and it went smoothly with two table releases every minutes or so. Then to make it worse they ran out of food and some of the food was not cooked all the way (my good friend is a chef and told people to not eat the meatballs). Then Jason accused us of not knowing what a cooked meatball was! Think everyone understands pink and pork are bad! I have left the same review on Yelp due to Jasons poor communication, poor performance, dangerous cooking and his attitude I can not recommend him to anyone.
Urban Pie catered my backyard wedding and it was FANTASTIC. They set up (on timea brick oven on my driveway and guests were able to walk up to their mini counter and order their slices. The rest of the food was brought into the backyard so my guests could help themselves. Everyone raved about the food- it was beautiful, and service was professional and friendly. My family was raving about the service and how nice the chefs were. I agree, it was top notch! The offerings change seasonally because the ingredients are so fresh. Everything was stunning. You can literally taste the freshness of the ingredients. We ordered appetizers, salads, and pizzas. I could talk infinitely about the food- burrata boats, bruschetta, beet-farro salad, arugula/blood orange salad, and four kinds of pizza. It was all amazing. We thought we got great value out of our investment- the food was really incredible. I would gladly work with Urban Pie again!
I highly recommend Urban Pie! They killed it at Calvin Kleins production yesterday! Best gourmet pizza EVER.
