Adventure experience made up of a guided climb across arena roof, with scenic views of landmarks.
What an amazing experience!! Done this today with my daughter and we had the best time. Our guide was Alex and he was very knowledgeable about all the landmarks and was clear and precise with all the safety instructions. Kept it lighthearted and no-one panicked because he put you at ease and you felt safe under his watch.I cant express enough how much we enjoyed our day and would recommend it to anyone.
Great experience although it could have lasted a big longer. Did a daytime climb a couple of years ago before covid were in place when they gave you shoes to wear. Now due to covid restrictions I gather you wear your own shoes and you don’t get issued a climb suit, which is a shame a this used to add to the occasion.I’d previously done the Sidney bridge climb, which in my opinion was a much tougher and more superior experience.
Amazing day, Alex was great. Very funny and helpful. He always checked in on others walking to see if they needed assistance. Great experience.
Had a great experience doing the climb of the 02.The first part of the climb was the steepest, but got easier after that.Guide was good with lots of fact and figures. Felt safe throughout.
Great experience! Very smoothly run & highly entertaining experience.Upon arrival, you are advised to fill in a waiver form if you have not already and are sent to a waiting room. Shortly after, you receive a briefing from your climb leader, are handed a harness, a coat and climbing boots, and allowed to put your own belongings into a secure box. You then do the ascent firmly secured, seeing the views open until you reach the top, where you can enjoy the views, take pictures & have refreshments if you paid for this. You then begin your descent until you reach the bottom, where more photos are taken with a green screen and your box of belongings are handed back to you (they are driven across as you climb). You then exit through a gift shop where you can buy the photos taken of you at the start and end of the walk & other souvenirs. The sunset climb cost us £40 per person and was worth it in my opinion, due to how smoothly and professionally it was run. Our guide Max was highly entertaining, charismatic, very friendly and full of interesting facts. I enjoyed the views, the climb itself and the experience as a whole and would definitely recommend for both Londoners and visitors.
At my 40th birthday🎉🎊I was spoilt with exciting experience that I didnt even know they was wrote in my book😍Climbed the O2 experience is my kind of adventure. I loved and I would love to do again.
Great experience today to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Martin was a great tour guide. Whole experience was very well organised & a fun group of fellow climbers.Highly recommended.
The place is easy to find. Just get off at North Greenwich, on the underground, and follow the canopy to the O2 arena.Their computer system is not the best as it hadnt logged our waiver forms, but this was not too much of a problem as we just filled in a paper one there and then. Our guide was good and looked after everyone in the group both on the way up and down.We went up at the twighlight time but you may have a better view during daylight hours. The walkway can be pretty bouncy but the top viewing area is very stable. Once at the top you get to spend around 15-20 minutes which is plenty of time. Expensive drinks are available to buy for you to consume on the viewing platform. The whole experience lasts for about 90 minutes. You can take your own camera/phone but it must be kept in a secure pocket. If not they can provide you with a top with zip pockets. It is worth doing this. We and others did.
Amazing experience!!! The climb was worth the view. We had a bubbly and attentive climb guide named Alex , to which we would like to give a massive thank you for making our experience fun and enjoyable from beginning till end . 😄 Also for giving me support and great advice when descending from the climb. Thank you also to all the staff that day who were welcoming and helpful during our experience.
What a great experience. Hit the motherload with the weather after it rained all morning. Sun came out, was glorious. Great guide talked us through a great walk up and over the O2. Would recommend to anyone. Brilliant.
Scary for the first 5-10 minutes as you’re at an angle and close to the edge, but didn’t feel unsafe at any point. As soon as you’re past that it’s an amazing experience. My guide was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing experience. Not only is the venue on point the staff where great too. My son had a slight melt down before starting the climb. They helped and where very understanding. They helped him on the climb and got him going.
This was fun! Climbing up and over the structure on a soft, bouncy material very securely attached to the central support cable. “Holiday” the instructor was great.
I have been rather critical over the years about what a climb over one of londons most iconic structures could be all about but i was wrong. It is a lot of fun, it is more challenging than you might expect. It is well organised and safe but at the same time will get your heart rate going if you arent used to scaling mountains or tall buildings. Is it worth the price? Maybe just about. Would I do it again? Yes. The staff were amazing, professional, relaxed, friendly yet stern about the rules, they warrant a lot of respect for what cannot be an easy tourist spot to manage #upattheo2
We had the lovely Adam as our guide, he was enthusiastic and certainly made the trip up the O2 memorable! We went up as a family of 4, we had a full safety briefing and all equipment included. Climb up gave lovely views over London and once we reached the top ot gave us time to catch of breath and celebrate with a drink! The climb down was the hardest and I would recommend wearing gloves. Thoroughly enjoyed this bucket list item and would recommend!
Great experience and amusing guide (Shah). Quite bouncy to walk on, and fairly steep climb up (and down). Fun and a bit scary (for this old boy)! 😉👍🏼👍🏼
Had a really good up the 02, It was a real good experience recommend everyone to do it. Is a great day out. All of stuff very good and friendly.
Brilliant experienceThe instructors were very knowledgeable and professionalWould recommend90 minutes well spentBeautiful sights at the top of the 02
Wow! What an exciting experience!Burnes over 400 calories and got a suntan climbing the o2 this week.Phil (femaleour guide was lovely, supportive and helpful.A highly recommended activity. Great views!Warning: Dont do this hungover! The surface is quite bouncy!Note: The descent on the other side is more daunting than the ascent.
The great views were worth the slight effort getting up (and then down- which felt the worst of the two). Wife was a little apprehensive but staff were helpful.Staff knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
I went up on the sunset one which was really nice the staff was friendly and helpful and the views were amazing especially with the sunset. When I arrived I had to sign the waiver on an iPad thing which form filling aint something Im good at so the member of staff did it for me and read it out as we went through it which was really helpful for me.I also had the drink add-on for when at the top I would have liked a bit more of a choice as the option was very limited I would have really liked a tango orange. Before we went up we had to watch a short video before going through to get harnesses and boots. We all then go outside to get harnesses on and a safety talk before going up to the platform for photos. From the platform we connect on to the safety line and make our way up.At the top we get to look around and get photos and receive drinks we ordered. We had a member of staff do a talk telling us what the things are that we can see and there is a sign that goes all the way around showing you what you can see and some information about it.The climb down was a bit steeper as you dont end at a platform like the front so you go straight down to the ground and get more photos taken and then leave through the souvenir gift shop and walk through the 02.I loved it and Im very glad I did it especially on the sunset one which was better as it was a hot day so it was cooler at that time and the sunset was amazing I highly recommend doing this.
What a great way to spend 90mins, fun climb and great weather. Would recommend to anyone making the trip to the 02, finished off with the clipper back to the centre of London. Top morning out.
Once in a lifetime experience! Climbing the O2 arena is an unforgettable experience and you don’t have to be fit in any way. We even had a couple around 70 years old in our group. If you are afraid of heights you might find it hard to climb down but overall there was nothing scary. They make sure you are safe!
Had a great time walking over the 02 with my friend and her family. Being a lady of a certain age l was looked after so well and given encouragement all the way by our guide. She made sure l was safe and having a good time with her lovely enthusiasm and fantastic smile and energy. Thank you ponytail as cannot remember know your name but will remember you for sure.
Excellent experience walking across the roof of the O2 arena.Tour guide was super friendly and it was a day I wont forget. The views were amazing. 10/10
Was very anxious/nervous to do this. It was bought as a Christmas pressie by my 4 children for my partner and I back in 2019. Due to covid, we were unable to do it but we were able to extend the offer. Finally climbed on 27/06/22 and loved every minute of it. Our guide, Daryl, was lovely and we spent about 20 minutes or so at the top, managing to take plenty of pictures 😀 Fantastic views over London. Would highly recommend even if afraid of heights. It was a great experience and would definitely do itagain.
I was lucky enough to finally do this with my Bestie, as I bought it for her as a Birthday present during Lockdown. It is well worth doing and the views from the top are awesome. The 1st section of the climb is pretty tough, but then it gets easier. The decent is okay until the last section which is a bit tricky, a 30 degree decline, but once youve done it you feel a great sense of achievement. Id highly recommend doing it!
Great experience. Amazing view accross London canary wharf Greenwich. Fantastic climb. You dont have to be really fit to climb up but its a little scary coming down backwards but well worth the experience. Thanks to our great guide Sam who made it a great experience telling us lots of facts on the way up and at the top
I travelled to London from america for the first time a little over a week ago and on my free day I decided on leaving my group and going to the O2. I was surprised at how awesome the staff was both with the O2 itself and the climb. Adam was my guide and I made sure to leave the tab open for he climb to make sure I could give him some credit for giving me a good experience. For the cost the whole experience is pretty cool but I would 100% recommend doing it with a friend or family member. I did it by myself and still had a ton of fun. Make sure you try to get one either later in the night or earlier in the day that way you can shop before or after in the O2.
A great way to spend a couple of hours and overall very enjoyable. We didnt find it too difficult though if wet can be a little slippery going up. Once you get up top you can chill out for a bit, enjoy the views and take pictures/videos. Highly recommended.
Obi-Wan Kenobi aka Ozzie was a brilliant guide today. He was fun, thoughtful and knowledgeable. From the safety talk, through kitting us out and up onto the climb he was so engaging, chatty, encouraging and welcoming. The first bit of the climb was steep, but exhilarating once you get up…..and up to the platform, views were wonderful and you get enough time to take it all in. Coming down was funny, bouncy and steep at the same time 😅.
Got tickets as a gift for my sister - we went just after the first lockdown restrictions were lifted and we had a great time. Staff were friendly, everything was safe and clean and the views were lovely. The climb up the side wasn’t challenging, and you get some time at the top to take photos. The walk down was of course much easier but we had a great time and would recommend!
My first time going up at the 02, it was a really nice experience, stunning views, knowledgeable stuff, had a lot of fun walking on top, there was some hard parts some easy parts but after all it was really amazing I recommend this for everyone all all ages, I went at sunset, the whole thing takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes
Fabulous experience, I did this twice, the latest one was a dusk which offered a fantastic view of London with sunset. Its quite easy to climb and very very safe. Feels a bit like moon walking (or what I imagine that to be!), a little bouncy. There are plenty of opportunities to take in the views as you climb up and at the peak theres a fantastic full 360 view.
I ticked off one of my London bucket list activities today. With the initial apprehension due to my fear of height, the walk proved to be easy and fun.The guide was helpful and the equipments felt secure even during the windy condition on top of the dome.Suitable for most fitness levels.
Really enjoyable trip out. Our guides Rebecca and Obi were both really knowledgable and explained some of the local history and pointed out some sights that wed have missed otherwise. Would recommend if youre in London, especially if the weather is good.
Hugely enjoyable 90 mins walking over the roof on a bouncy walkway. The first part is steep but then flattens out. We went on a Monday morning at 11am and lucked out with a clear/sunny experience although it was cold. Definitely dress warmer than normal as it is colder up there and you also spend about 20mins on the viewing platform at the top.Everything is provided for you including shoes (we didn’t use them as came in our hiking bootsand gilet/long sleeve jacket. You will get a comprehensive briefing and full help putting on your harness. Our guide was excellent both with the instructions and pointing out landmarks etc.You can pre-order a drink to have at the top. Only one of the 8 couples that went up with us did this. Around the viewing platform are plaques of useful information as to what you are looking at.You can take up your mobile phone but are not allowed to use it until you are on the viewing platform, but then there is plenty of opportunity to take nice photos and everyone in the group was super helpful taking photos of each other. There is also a photographer that takes several photos on different parts of the climb although the photos packs seemed very expensive and didn’t see anyone from our group buying them.
Really enjoyed this walk. It last 90 minutes from start to finish so was well worth it.Im really scared of heights but I was fine. The worst bit is coming down but just dont look at the bottom and youll be fine.
We went in 2021 July time. It was a great experience, the instructor that took us up was funny and friendly. All laughs and good atmosphere although we did do it on a very wet day it was still such a good time.
Had a really good time. Everything was provided for us including shoes. Full safety brief provided. My only criticisms are, its not that cheap to do and youre not on the viewing platform at the top for very long. The views are amazing and there are several plaques with information on around the platform but there wasnt time to read them before another group came up and effectively forced us to go back down. Photo packs at the end are also extremely expensive.
Really enjoyable experience. Staff were friendly and helpful and we all enjoyed it. Great views on a clear day. Not sure what it would be like if it was raining but would be more of an adventure!
Incredible experience, our guide Duncan was brilliant; really made the experience great fun, gave us some facts about the 02 stadium as well. Well worth the view at sunset!!
I think the staff member I had was the best part! She was so happy and energetic, it made me enjoy it. I can’t remember her name but she needs a raise or something because she is great at her job! She went through all the safety tips and made me feel at ease. If you are thinking about doing it, you need to do it! How many people have climbed the O2?
I’ve been on weekends to London lots of times but this is one of the best activities by far! Our guide was Max from Canada and she made us laugh the whole way. We went for a sunset climb and although it was cloudy it was still a great time. Would love to go again but maybe next time at night! The climb isn’t very exerting and you do go quite slow although it can be steep at points. The photo of the slope is right at the end when you have to walk backwards for the last little bit. I think I’d have even enjoyed myself if it was raining!
Great experience to walk over the roof on almost a bouncy walkway. Excellent guide who pointed out lots of landmarks throughout the walk. An hour and a half whizzed by. Worth doing.
Rebecca was an AMAZING host. Full of knowledge and very helpful. Not to mention an amazing photographer ( using my phonedefinitely will do that again and a day I shall not forget. The whole team from checking in to the shop on the way out are all fab. Very happy and exceeded all expectations! We will be back
Excellent experience even if youre scared of heights like myself and my friend. We celebrated a special birthday with a celebrational climb. Elle and Amy were amazing coordinators and made the climb easier. I would definitely recommend and a fantastic memory made. Thank you...
A great experience, staff were friendly and helpful with clean toilets.Order your champers in advance and toast the fantastic view!Pictures quite expensive at £25-30 but you do get quite a few so not to bad value on balance.Everything (Harness etcwas clean and tidy.I wouldnt want to do this on a rainy day but with the sun we had wonderful!
What an awesome experience.. if you’re doing a tour of London include this because it’s is just great fun and the views are amazing. We added the bubbles which I have to say are definitely worth it. Our guide was great and super knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely 5 stars and would definitely recommend!
This is a one time experience. The climbing was very fun and I didnt expect the person guiding us to give us a mini visual tour whilst climbing up and pointing out different buildings of london and the history behind it and etc. It was very informative and I must say, I came back with some information about London I didnt know!Definitely worth trying out. Its very steep at the beggining but then it gets easier. Please understand that this is not climbing like go ape, this is basically climbing up a steep roof and is very quick. Its just fun thats all it is.When you do get to the top, you end up spending max 5 min there and then its time to go back down which was a little bit disappointing as I did want a little bit more time taking in the view but overall good experience, worth a go.
