Universal CityWalk Orlando - Tourist attraction in Buenaventura Lakes, United States
We visited Universal City Walk to take in a movie at the Universal Cinemark theater and to enjoy dinner afterwards. The theater was great. We saw a movie in the XD theater and it was worth the ticket price. Amazing screen and audio pushed the movie viewing experience over the top. Seat selection prior to movie start is available with the Fandango app.Afterwards we ate the Bob Marley restaurant located a short walk from the theater. The food was authentically Jamaican. The service was impeccable and we were lucky enough to take in the sounds of a live band performing while we dined.I highly recommend Universal City Walk for a fun date night. Parking in the garage is free if you purchase matinée tickets and visit the ticket window. They refund your parking fee in cash.
What a magical place. Lots of high end shopping and endless food choices. We had a wonderful meal and lots of fun just walking around. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
I’ve been coming to Universal/City Walk/IOA for over ten years now! Went to Halloween horror nights last Saturday for the first time and it was absolutely amazing! 11/10 would recommend! I loved the entire experience and I hope to come back for that every year after!
What a blast! Just walking and eating there is music everywhere live music bands DJ the place is filled with music, and great food if u don’t want to dine in must restaurants have walk up bar windows.
Multiple shops, bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes. There is also a movie cinema and some limited attractions like mini golf. You do have to pay for parking but the city walk is completely free and open till very late at night.
We love Universal its great fun for family, everyone will find some rides or shows they likes. We had a fabulous time, we have been for Halloween night and second time in the day to do the rest of the rides and show. Halloween night was very busy waiting in the queue for about an hour to enter haunted House but it was great fun. In the day weve been the 16th September and was not busy at all. Weve been manage to go few times fof the same rides. Be prepared to pay for parking and for some rides you need to put your bag into the locker.
Beautiful walking space. Kinda small cause its free. But whatever. The parking fee is RIDICULOUS! Come on Disney! You already got so much money from us. You cant even make parking free for this supposedly free facility? If people have to pay $27 to park their car (and it doesnt matter if its after 6PM, you still have to pay $27!), then how can you call it FREE?!!! September to October: NO FREE parking, remember that folks!
Wear comfortable cloths and shoes. And prepare to walk ALLOT. So much to see and experience cannot take it all in. It is run very well but highly recommend paying a bit extra and take the express pass. Guarantees you will get to experience and enjoy everything and avoid the ques. A memorable experience for sure.
Amazing experience that has been very carefully crafted. CityWalk is a must see even if you arent going to the parks. You can get into CityWalk for free (there is fee for parking if you droveand it is definitely worth it! Good, shopping, entertainment, you can find it all.
The city walk is a great place to go before or after the park. A lot of different food options. We stopped at Moes and its was busy but food was good. Also got a drink from fat Tuesdays before entering the park itself. City walk is a bit pricey but a fun place to go and have some fun any day.
Universal Walk is amazing. Even if your not planning on going into either of the parks, Universal Walk is a great place to hang out with your friends and family, enjoy the day at one or more than one of the many restaurants and have some great food and drinks. Now if by chance you are going to the park, Universal City Walk is a great place to relax and kick your feet up before you head back to the hotel or drive home. There is lots of places to choose from, sit and relax. I find the evening the best because of all the lights. Best of all, it’s free to just walk around.
Quick update ! I thought it is free to park here after 6 pm through out the year ! But it is not what I thought ! If you visit this place September through October , it is not free to park here ! It is 27 dollar parking fee! If you come here after midnight , it is free !Personally I don’t think it is worthy to visit the universal city walk just for 27 dollars . There are not much to see there ! Unless you wanna get into the Disney park for 109 dollar per adult ! you will spend more money purchase more expensive drink and food in this “city”! ( they don’t let you take in any food and drink , you have to buy food and drink after you get in there )!Just wait for the free parking after 6 pm. Timing of the year , I think that is a good time to take a look at the city and save yourself 27 dollar !I hope this review helps someone get better idea of this place !
City was a great experience, it’s so many people here enjoying a little bit of everything. The restaurants are convenient and have great food. Also a little exercise is involved lol, I’ve met many people just having a general conversation and full of positive vibes. You can’t go wrong coming here it’s a must. Parking was free for us but, I believed it’s because we came after 6:00pm. They medal detectors prior to entering so you are most likely safe, they also have offices almost everywhere. It’s so much to see and do, I’ve tried to get as much photos as I can however, too many people was in my way lol. So come to City Walk and enjoy life’s goods. Also this was on a Tuesday in the month of August so, I can’t even imagine on weekends and holidays.
In spite of the large crowd gathered at this attraction, it didn’t feel overcrowded. If you aren’t spending money, the only alternative is to walk & take pictures. That’s not a criticism, just some friendly insight. We were there primarily to eat at Hard Rock Cafe. My experience was limited because I’m not too personally interested in shopping a collection of large corporate brands at their highest price points. Just a preference. If you are going for a specific reason, you’ll enjoy it. Be sure to plan ahead and give yourself more time than you might think originally. We had to park in the park’s garage, make the long walk through the park entrance, and go through full security, just to access the restaurant. We wouldn’t have chosen to eat at Hard Rock if we had known I’ll that was involved in just getting in the door.Plenty to consider.
Loved it! But... humans... everywhere. You know in those zombie movies when you see that first guy, shambling out of a dark alley and youre totally aware that hes gonna kick this whole apocalypse off?Yeah, this wouldve been a primo spot fir that evil scientist to release Patient Zero.Aside from the horror movie aspect, the ambience was great, the food was plentiful and the music wasnt awful! Will totes visit again!
At the heart of Universal Orlando Resort is CityWalk – a complex of dining, shopping, and entertainment sprawled around a gorgeous lagoon, with sweeping views of coaster skylines. It serves as the central hub of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, and with an impressive and varied collection of shops and bites, many visitors find CityWalk to be a great place to spend a relaxing day playing miniature golf, seeing a show, or even getting a tattoo. After dark, CityWalk has a handful of vibrant nightlife options as well. Even if it’s not your final destination, CityWalk is definitely worth budgeting a bit of extra time for when passing through on the way to or from the parks.
It was my first time visiting Universal Studios CityWalk Orlando. Everything inside was nice and has a great view alot of eating shops and a few attractions I expected to see a bit more but its not too bad. They have boat tours to navigate the small lake and best of all its always free to walk around.
More of an adult life after hours when it gets dark. But beautiful at night nonetheless. If youre looking for nightlife and kid free, this is the place to be. We were on our way out of the park and got some cool pictures.
Beautiful, family friendly, you have to pass security before entering city walk. Full of nice restaurants, and of course the best part... The parks inside of it!!!!
Absolutely loved visiting Universal! Despite the heat, our family had a great time! The workers throughout the stores and restaurants at City Walk were prompt and professional including the ones located at the kiosks! The boat captains were equally professional and provided safety on all our boat rides to and from City Walk/our resort. There is so much to do at City Walk that we did not get to do, but that was because we spent most of our time in the parks. We did a lot of window shopping, the prices are high throughout all the shops at City Walk and the parks alike so be prepared if you want to purchase goodies for your fun, family getaway!
Great place to get pictures by the iconic universal globe and many other uniquely themed attractions like the hard Rock Cafe and the chocolate factory. It was nice that the central location was easy to get to and free to explore.I went to an event at the hard Rock Cafe and it was absolutely awesome. We also had some chocolate at the chocolate factory.Make sure to take the water taxi to one of the hotels, even if its just to look around and ride back on the next water taxi.
Lots of amazing shops. The staff in the shops were friendly and helpful. There are also a lot of staff dotted around the park who are ready to answer any questions you may have, or if you just need directions. The shops are great but can be expensive so browse first, who knows you might find the items your looking for cheaper just down the road.
Fantastic place to visit. Lots of dining options and very very clean. The entire city walk was spotless. Absolutely zero debris. I recommend spending atleast 3 days here and enjoy the entire park. The wait time was not bad. Buy the pass to skip the line. Highly recommending this attraction for the entire family.
Fun dining options with lots of variety. Parking is expensive if you’re not a Universal Orlando Annual Passholder. Restaurants are priced as you would expect from a tourist location. Neat sights and pretty water front.
Lots of places to eat. Not cheap though. Big Fire has excellent meat. Wish there were more shops. Recommend reservations ahead of time for dinner.
When you come here there isn’t much going on, just a average shopping/grills and bars. But the food is just amazing here, and great place to take pictures here. The funny part is that you can basically walk up to the “universe studios” world sign and post it online and say “I’ve been to universal” even though you just took a picture right outside of it.
Glad to see City Walk back to normal. I like that the Universal Studios store has been relocated near the entrance to City Walk. The old store has been converted to a legacy store catering to the classics. Always enjoy the restaurants and atmosphere here!
Loved city walk. Its a great pace to pick a meet up place & time if your group splits up and hits different parks before coming back together for lunch or dinner. Definitely recommend!
CityWalk is a lot of fun when youre in the Orlando area but dont necessarily want to spend a lot of money on the parks. Ive been there for lunch, though a few places dont open until dinner time, grabbed dinner and drinks, have gone to the karaoke bar, and fine some shopping and mini golf. It will keep you entertained for a while. In my case, it was just enough this time to spend a half day before my flight home
Overall a great experience to walk through, shop in, rest at, and eat at. The view from the second floor dining area was great, and it was a relaxing place to eat outside at, especially at night. Chilling here after a busy day at one or both of the parks was wonderful. I feel like it wouldnt be too bad of a place to just hang out at at night, too. So many places to sit and the design is nice.
We went with friends to enjoy the rest of our evening for a few hours and grab some dinner. Its free to enter the park but park is expensive and varys during the time of day that you park. Plenty of restaurants, shop and photo ops. A great place to get a taste of the park if you dont have all day to spend or if your not sure about paying to enter.
Free parking after 6pm. Seating available everywhereThey close at 2 am. Its a beautiful place to walk around, they have different shops like Moes, Burger King, Panda express, ice cream shops, Starbucks coffee, universal Studios stores, the toothsome chocolate emporium. Etc. Create an excuse to go and be out Stress and visit Universal City Walk
City walk is amazing at night. It has some shops. It has amazing food and nightlife for adults. It is a whole different atmosphere. Parking is free after 5pm.
City walk was pretty awesome. First time seeing it was at night riding over on the water taxi and it was magical. Bright lights and lots to see and do! Would be 5 stars but it was impossible to get a seat for dinner without an hour plus wait time. Lucked out and got a spot a bar and ate there. Book reservations way ahead of time if you want to eat!
Great stop before and after the parks. Lots of food choices and shops. The donut shop amazing. I love the throw back universal store the things I remember as a kid when I came
You will want to coordinate your visit there with the times the park closes because everybody has to go through Cityy Walk to get in or out of the parks.Great place though. Love the layout of the area. Just a fun place to spend the evening
What a spectacular way to enter into the Universal theme parks. From opening earlier than the parks to much later, it offers a great entrance and exit experience unto itself.Top notch restraunts, and shops offering the various parks merchandise. Drinking, eating and dancing!
We love the atmosphere of CityWalk. Great shopping and food. Its a good time. If you are into History... be sure to take the path to the right of Hard Rock cafe..... it feels like you shouldnt be going that way but it is a public walkway.... when you get to the end, you will find... an actual piece of the Berlin wall. Amazing!! Have fun exploring. 😁
We enjoyed our chance to visit knowing we wouldn’t be visiting the parks. CityWalk gives you a chance to have some fun and some experiences. Who knew you could see a piece of the Berlin Wall, somewhat hidden behind the Hard Rock, and a chocolate factory. Played some mini-golf (haunted side), ate some Voodoo (overpriceddonuts and a saw a few movie props too.
I loved it! The atmosphere is very fun and exciting. Its a great place to go if you dont want to spend money on Universal tickets but you still want the experience. I would do it so many times. Shops and restaurants are great!
All photos are taken were acceptable. I am a pass holder and find something new every time I go. Items and food are a bit pricey. If looking to go more than once a year become a pass holder. I would also recommend getting the refillable glass. It will save you money in the long run.
What more can i say except that this is Universal Studios and fun can be had by the young and old. Please keep in mind that there is alot of walking and can be hot. If off season is warm i can imagine what mid-summer would feel like so plan according to that. Other than that i had a blast
I went here for a special event on New Years Eve. It was a good thing I bought tickets in advance because they canceled their regular New Years Eve party for that night. Im glad they have moving sidewalks because it is a long way from the parking lot to the actual park itself and you can hardly bring anything in with you security there is so tight but its a fun, interesting, exciting place to go.
Captain Ahab of Ahabs Adventures visiting Universal CityWalk. Very pricey, but what do you except in Orlando right? So many options within a nice walk of any of the hotels!
When you are a frequent visitor to Orlando, Universal City Walk is all the time an excellent option to enjoy the parks life without visiting the parks, especially during the night. Many restaurants, bars and stores, very good movie theaters and good vibe in general. After 6:00 PM you have free parking. It is a must.
Its very busy here but nice place to hang out. There are many restaurants. You may need to use online ordering system if they provide. Also I recommend a reservation before you visit.
This is a really happening place just outside the two Universal theme parks. It feels like a version of time squarish lights and vibe, without any sky scrappers. Plenty of food options but be prepared for very long wait time at most places. Parking is free after 6 pm and 27$ during day. Great place to hang around and walk. There are not much mask restrictions here, so its up to people to wear masks. Expect huge crowds on holidays. Hardly 30% people wearing masks, however the walking area is mostly outdoor.
We stayed at a Universal Resort so we were able to access City Walk by boat or foot path. I absolutely love the vibe here. You have kids and adults dressed like Harry Potter or dressed to go dancing all mingling together and no one gives a second glance.Universal never disappoints with its decorations for the holidays. The winter village they have set up is wonderful and it offers unique Christmas treats, photo opportunities, and merchandise. They have Christmas music playing, light displays, delicious smells, and just a truly lovely holiday experience. The restaurant choices are top notch. You can find casual, treats, fancy, or whatever you desire. We ate at three different restaurants and enjoyed random treats at the smaller stalls. The entire place is built around the river which makes the experience extra special especially at night. This is a place you can take your family or a date or enjoy with your friends. The entrances to both Universal theme parks are right in City Walk which is convenient and also adds to the excitement of the place. Its a must-do when we visit Orlando.
If you go after 6pm parking is free. Before that its $30. The CityWalk is a great go to. There is a lot of places to choose from to eat, drink or just hang out and a lot to see. Very family friendly. Haunted Mini golf course was very entertaining and fun we will definitely go back and do the other courses. Bob Marley tribute place was very entertaining, live music, great decor and good food and drinks. A little pricey but still good. Red pizza oven was awesome, Great service and great food and prices. There is also a movie theater and gift shops.
It was beautiful day with temps ranging from 60-78. Anything above that, I would suggest sunscreen and light clothing. But all things aside. The park was nice, clean and the staff kept traffic moving in a very nice calm fashion. As for the park itself, there wasnt really anything bad to mention. However, the guests, be aware of the random stoppers and those who walk and look in another direction. Not only is that dangerous, but also messes up the flow of traffic. Keep patient, keep calm and have fun!
