Cheery, modern restaurant offering plant-based fare & a non-profit diner & bar ethos.
Lovely vegan restaurant caféStaff were very attentive and professionalwas served very quicklymenu was downloaded via QR scannerThis is a vegan fast food place so don’t expect home-cooked style vegan dishes because they don’t have them. The only criticism I would give is that it’s slightly overpriced for fast food and the reliance on plant-based meat rather than using vegetablesI went for the dirty fries which had a lovely flavour apart from the plant-based kebab meat that was used as it was slightly bland and was not seasonedI like the ethical fact that a lot of the profits are being used to support animal rescue charities and helping the staff run the restaurantAnd for that fact I definitely will return to try different dishes on the menu
Busy café-style restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Good range of good quality vegan food and drinks. Good choice of mocktails and cocktails and vegan wines. Part of profits are donated to animal sanctuary and similar causes. Been a few times on my own and in groups and had great experience every time. Happy to recommend.
Food is absolutely delicious. Calamari is the show stealer. Chicken burger was one of the best burgers ever.Service was really good too but I felt like our waiter was rushed to clear our table. One missing star is because of cocktails, not the best I am afraid.
Fantastic customer experience. Staff were very attentive to details. Lot of flavors in their dishes and drinks. Worth every penny. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes eat.I am thinking that I might have set the bar low for other vegan restaurants. Unity Diner is something else.
Food was decent - it is deep-fried comfort food. I really love what it stands for and supports, and I love the vibe inside. However, I’m giving three stars because of the service (took 90 minutes for food to arrive, and the order was wrong)
By far the best vegan fish and chips Ive had. Unity Diner is quite popular among vegans. Their menu is full of popular fast food dishes. Their "Tofish and Chips" is a must have.
THE BEST!!! Nothing on earth like it!!! Loveeeee this place so much my hotel was a few mins walk from here and I discovered Unity Diner by chance. Wow. What a dream!!!!! Staff were a delight and I went everyday during my stay. Only wish I was a bit more adventurous though because on my first visit, I went for the highly recommended and praised “fish” and chips with mushy peas. WOW!!!! Ended up getting this every time because it was that good. Can’t wait to go back!!!!! Thanks guys!
What. A. Place! I need to come back at LEAST another six times because I want to try everything on the menu! Love the vibe, love the staff, love the food. Pictured is the BBQ Tempeh main and doughnut pudd! Highly recommend.
As an American vegan, I’m so sad this place isn’t in the States. The Tofish and Chips is worth the hype. The servings are massive, and every single thing we had was so flavorful and delicious. Their cocktails were also very good, and they even have mocktails.
Omg this place is amazing. I would recommend to everyone. The food is so good staff awesome- cocktail was amazing. So popular and rightly so. I love it is a not for profit business. Had 2 small dishes and chikn dirty fries. Need to go back n try the other things on the menu
the southern fried drumsticks had crispy skin and the most delicious spicy sauce coating.ice cream waffle was beautifully presented, crispy waffles and creamy ice cream, sweetened with maple syrup.the best part is the profits are donated to an animal sanctuary.make your booking
Absolutely brilliant lunch! We enjoyed delicious cocktails and the fish and chips. Service was superb. So nice dining somewhere plant based knowing that proceeds are going towards an animal sanctuary 🫶🏻💜
If you have ever experienced fish and chips and now wanted a vegan equivalent - this is your place!!! Incredibly authentic tasting and consistent each time with mushy peas, thick chips and tartar sauce. One recent downside (based on economy- the costs have turned quite astronomical. Expect to pay £18 for the tofish and chips. The only reason I give it x4 stars.
Incredible food! Everything we ordered was super tasty and hard to even tell it’s vegan. The waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and I can’t fault the place. Easily the best vegan restaurant that does fast food type meals we have come across in London!
Fantastic restaurant for vegans and carnists alike. We had the tofish n chips and the omni steak with a bottle of white - it was glorious. Staff are welcoming, helpful, friendly and genuine. This place had great food, great staff and a great vibe - I’ll definitely be back! 💛
Have wanted to visit Unity Diner for a while and it didn’t disappoint! Extensive menu of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, and plenty of food options. The menu focuses mainly on comfort foods, so expect lots of deep-fried options, burgers etc, but it’s all surprisingly light and carefully prepared. The To’fish bites are excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan calamari - a difficult texture to emulate but this is best I’ve ever tried. The tempeh dish was a standout.I didn’t bring my dog on this occasion but I think any pups would be well looked after, as they even have a separate dog menu! Will definitely visit again.
Ive been there while visiting London and Im sure I will return there whenever I will be back in London. Ive eaten there the best vegan hot - dog from all vegan hot - dogs Ive ever had! Staff is super friendly and helpful ❤️ Its a great place for vegan and non - vegan. Everybody will be happy with this delocious food 🙂
Superb (from a meat eater)First time here and would definitely recommend this place. Daughter is vegetarian, but Im not. The tofish was amazing for me. The dawg was huge and the sides a...Date of visit: August 2022
On our short trip to London from Edinburgh we absolutely wanted to eat at Unity as it has options that we’ve never seen anywhere else. We got prawn tempura, the lobster roll, the famous tofish and chips, and ice cream & waffles. Everything was outstanding! The food was original and delicious, the staff friendly and polite (something we often don’t experienceand the restaurant very stylish. We’ll be back on future trips to London!
An absolute bangerMy boyfriend had the best vegan burger and wings hes ever had, and my vegan lobster roll was exceptional. Quantities are generous, food is innovative and delicious, staff is friendly and the place itself is nice and cosy! Will go again no doubts
Stunning! Went with my friend who hates the real fish & chips and it was so remarkably similar she couldn’t eat it! :-pGreat dish, wish I had some option like this in Italy as well!Very polite staff, very clean place, bathrooms included. Also tried the prawns tempura and the calamari, tasty and good for those who are trying to reduce real fish consumption.
Had the prawn tempura, pork bowl thingamajig and chocolate torte. Nice textures and the prawn tempura very nearly there in terms of being like the real thing! Nice feel to the place too
Went there for the name of Earthling Ed :overall good experience, live the presentation of the food. Taste wise, Tofish bite is really good, crab cake is ok…rib is good, lobster roll is ok… I was also in a hurry to finish the meal and didn’t get to really enjoy the atmosphere there (but this is not the restaurant’s fault), staff is accommodating and trying her best, which is very much appreciated.
Absolutely one of the highlights in terms of dining vegan in London! From the savory starters to the incredibly tasty mains and finishing with some delicious dessert it was a great experience to surprise my friend with the help of the staff there, would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a great dining experience which even supports the vegan cause, 10/10!
We were in London for the day and wanted to explore some vegan food places whilst we had the chance. After browsing menus and reading reviews, Unity stood out as a great option - and we certainly werent left disappointed! The place itself, the feel of the diner (cosy but vibrantand the food were all excellent. It was warm & welcoming and the staff were incredibly bubbly and helpful. We ordered the vegan "fish and chips" and the only element of disappointment was that we couldnt eat it all! The portions were huge! We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu...
My second visit and one to remember as Ed Winters was there! The service was spot on, we werent left alone for too long but we werent bothered too much, which made for perfect catching up time. The loaded fries were delicious and very filling. Couldnt resist getting a dessert and was not disappointed. Easy to split the bill via the app. Would definitely return again and again
Everything was wonderful, the staff, the food, the decorations. Honestly the friendliest staff, it was the first day of one of them and he prepared my mocktail and it was absolutely delicious!
This was my first time trying any fish and chips and this rendition was amazing. I had the ice cream waffles for dessert and they were scrumptious. The calamari appetizer is good as well, just a bit chewy. Excellent table service.
First time at Unity Diner and I loved this place so much. The staff recommended the fish & chips, and I was absolutely so shocked. Tastes and feels like real fish. It’s literally magic. Everything was delicious, including the drinks. The bartender was so, so great as well.
Really good food, especially the fish & chips they have! It tasted just like real fish, from the very vague memory I have of tasting fish at least. But even the non-vegan people I was with said the same, so it must be so. Anyhow, highly recommendable place! Very friendly personnel as well.
I visited Unity Diner for a lunch. I’ve been following Earthling Ed for a while so I was actually very excited about dining here as this place was in fact opened by him.I ordered a hot dog, fries and a coke, and the food was good. Having said that, the service was very slow and the menu did not convince me at all. Most of the items were meat substitutes which is fine but many vegans (including myselfare not really looking for something that tastes like meat hence why it would be nice to have non-meaty products too.Overall, positive experience and I will definitely give it another go.
Absolutely lovely! We tried chicken skewers, humus, falafel and pita bread. It came with a side salad of cucumber and mint (Im not a fan of salads but it was so very tasty), unique decor friendly staff!
Top place. Im not vegan, but loved it. Dishes full of flavour and colours, presentation impeccable and the people working here are super friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend the Ribs and the surf and turf hotdog. Also, dessert wise, you gotta try the waffles. Well done Unity Diner team, keep it up! :)
So yummy! If you come here you have to have the tofish bites - they’re absolutely delicious and very realistic. The decor and atmosphere here is top notch and the service was great
We had the award winning tofish and chips and lobster roll with popcorn prawnz. I am not vegan, my girlfriend is. She told me about this place and the founder and I was tempted to go. The quality and taste of the food are beyond expectations. Perfect combination of flavours and really well-balanced. Staff is very nice and kind. If there were more places like this around the world, people would eat vegan more often.
Uhmm I had high expectations but was disappointed. The people were really nice and the cocktails look amazing as there were being made. But the food.... I love vegan food, and I was looking forward to it. The NY hotdog just didnt live us to my expectations.the bun was tiny compared to the sausage and with the onions and everything else it was just out of balance. The chips looked amazing and were nice and crunchy, however the tasted like fish. (The lady next to me did order fish and chips so it may have just been all cooked in that batch)I may come back, to try the desserts and cocktails in the future, but not sure Ill go back for lunch
highlyyyyy recommend! ❤️🌱tofish & chips and calamari rings were absolutely SPOT ON!!!!it’s better to make a reservation tho, this place is pretty popular. Great and friendly staff also.I’ll be back!
We loved the ethos of this place, non profit, & all monies going straight back to saving animals. The food itself was ...amazing! I had the fish & chips, ( Id heard good things & it did not disappoint!& my partner had the gammon burger. We also had vegan cocktails, a Seaspiracy & an Old Fashioned. So so good! Glad we got to finally visit, & will definitely be back next time were in London. 10/10.
Travelled to London from Manchester and just could not leave without trying this place, not disappointed ! Great menu and cannot believe how good the Tofish is ! The food is great for vegans and non vegans. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere as a whole was too.I did order the Broccoli salad and was surprised that it came warm as i was expecting a cold salad so just remember that if you order the Broccoli salad !
A great vegan experience! Nice environment right in the center of London. The food was fantastic! Dont miss this place! The turmeric coffe is just amazing.
Took my daughter to Unity Diner and she had a great time. I am not a vegan but decided to try a burger - I was pleasantly surprised! I would definitely have one again. Friendly service was also good. I did find the meal a bit on the expensive side but I would bring my daughter here again for a special occasion. Recommended.
The food was awesome, the service friendly -1 star: we ordered 2 mains and 2 starters… received 1 starter and after 45 minutes the rest, because I asked. I was told, it was not forgotten 😤… no excuse for the long delay. The food tasted very good, but this incident destroyed the experience.
First time at Unity Diner and well definitely be back! The food is tasty and definitely satisfying/filling with generous portions. We shared the mozzarella sticks (VERY tasty and shoes close to the original), prawn tempura (good texture, but could taste a bit more flavorful), followed by Truffle shuffle burger with chunky fries (a dream!). Cocktails are also a must try.
First time visit; friendly staff, good service. Had the lobster roll - very tasty! Good texture and appearance too. Fries nice and crunchy outside, fluffy inside. Gets a recommend from me!
The most amazing vegan fish and chips ever! Such a fantastic selection of food and the prices aren’t too bad for what you get! Would really recommend to vegans and non vegans who just want to try something new!
The Tofish is amazing and fits its reputation. Fantastic texture, flavour and not too salt. The tartare sauce with it is amazing and reminds me of fish o fillet but x10 better!! Mushy peas fab but slightly too salty for my taste. The burgers was delicious and with a great range of choices. I have no problems being a vegan eating their food!! Would visit again and a great place for celebrations for sure! Clean and comfortable. Yes its considered junk food but I feel healthy after eat it. Overall it wasnt too oily.
This place #vegan #plant-based is heaven on earth ❤️ the dishes size is more than satisfying and the taste is to die for (lol Instead of killing for...). Staff are super friendly and helpful and the cocktails are D-licious! I was few times already and was never disappointed, highly recommended. And book a table!
So good I dont even know where to begin. From the amazing staff, place, drinks, food (ate the best Fish & Chips during my whole trip - and I have been to Tenby in a restaurant by the sea!).The restaurant is also environment and non-profit, donating their profits.I had that good of an experience that it INSPIRED me. Just wow. Please go there.
This was the best restaurant (vegan or non-veganIve ever been to. Went for a surprise birthday meal whilst visiting London, and it was incredible. Mozzarella sticks were the highlight of the food (so so similar to real mozzarella), but everything was amazing! Staff so lovely and attentive. Venue was beautiful. Overall fully recommend and cant wait to go back!
I love this place and went when it first opened and its improved so much! The staff were so lovely as was the interior and the food was really generous servings. We got the mozzarella sticks which are giant and amazing and I got the tofish and chips which was a really great choice- for vegans and no vegans. My friend had a burger and he loved it too. We eyed the desserts but were far too full but they looked insane
