Unit 55 in Spokane

This is the real deal! A must do, you need this experience. Great owners and actors! Thank y’all for a great time! It’s okay to laugh at me!! Yes, I said the safe word! The fun surpassed what I was capable of!

I was invited here by a friend and it was amazing (also, I am a chicken so it was scary ). The amount of effort they put into their escape rooms is undeniable and I will definitely be back with more people!!

They seem to not answer their phone, check voicemails that state FAQs on their voicemail, and call back those with a question. Looks like I wont try them after all.

Probably the worst escape room Ive ever been to. No context clues for certain puzzles. They want you to scream across a room with blaring music to solve locks rather than give you paper to write down numbers and clues on. Would not recommend if you are hard of hearing what so ever. Cant hear yourself think at times with the "actors" yelling at you. One of the "puzzles" wasnt a puzzle was just them making you dance or sing to please someone so they would give you the key. I wanted an escape room, not a place for someone to stick me on a stage and make me dance.

Ive done 3 different escape rooms here over the past few years and they are always so fun and creative. Just beware, the puzzles are challenging so make sure theres at leastt one person in your group with a big brain lol

This was an absolute blast and a new experience we were craving! I had never been to an escape room and love haunted themed events. They are hard to find when it’s not the month of October. I came across a posting in the Inlander, and had to check it out. We had a blast and are so excited to make it a regular thing. Don’t let the fact that you have to sign a waiver or that the actors are able to touch you make up your mind not to go. In my experience, I was really nervous about this part, as a tend to have anxiety and I don’t like people touching me. The actors definitely aren’t rough with you, it feels like a genuine part of the experience but at no time did I feel scared for my well-being, although it was psychologically a bit challenging and definitely creepy.

Interesting, As a first timer that went with an experienced group I was a bit lost at first but I quickly got into it.

Price is perfect! Game is thrilling for teenagers and adults! Characters interact and help if needed- A lot of smiles.

If you love haunted houses and escape rooms, you’ll probably love this. It was very well done, definitely scared us! The actress was great. If you’re not looking for scary actors being in the room with you being able to touch you, maybe not the place for you. But I think it was wonderfully scary and fun! Definitely a test of how well you can critically think under pressure but that’s part of the fun.

Awesome! Spellbound offered a good challenge( we were sooooo close to getting out). Was not easy having a witch screaming and scaring you along the way, hahaha adds so much more to the escape room aspect. You need to check this out if you love haunted houses and escape rooms. We are from Utah and will be back just to try another escape again!

Love Unit 55! This is not your typical escape room. The feel of a haunted house mixed with the riddles and rooms to escape, make it an adrenaline rush. The Unit 55 crew does an amazing job getting creative with each game. We always have a blast! #teamramrod

This place is totally worth every penny. It is a fully immersive, horror themed escape game. The puzzles vary in difficulty and length. But the real plus to the experience is that they have actors that scare the life out of you as youre trying to escape. The level of excitement is totally upped. It makes it hard to go back to traditional escape rooms after this!

Definitely worth the money and the trip. Ive gone with family and friends over 5-6 times. The scares are good and jumpy. The puzzles are pretty challenging. The owner is really friendly, approachable and dedicated to his craft.

Did mad hatter was great fun. Was a birthday celebration for me and another gal. We were a large group and we all had a blast.

This is the best, most realistic experience you can legally have. The actors are awesome and scary. The environment leads you to felling like you wronged someone to end up there. Most fun you can have for the money.

My first escape room experience, and it was great. Host and actors were fun, and encouraging. The puzzle was team oriented, and challenging in a fun way. I love the humor, and the setup. Looking forward to making this a regular fun night out.

Different kind of escape room but really awesome if this is what youre into. Half puzzle filled escape room, half haunted house. Weve been three times now.

If u like scary stuff its definitely the place to go. Great staff. Loved it. Going back soon.

We had a blast!!! It was just my daughter and I that tried the escape room. Let it be known throughout the land that the 2 of us are noodlebrains. If it wasnt for the cute and creepy little elf we would still be in there. The Krampus was really off-putting. Great puzzles to solve and had a great time. Fun escape room with different options to book. We did the base scary escape and had a blast, there were definitely moments that made you jump. Something different is that there are employees scaring you throughout and they are allowed to touch you.

Wow! I was apprehensive to do this.... But it was AMAZING. Haunted house meets escape room(s). Exceeded all expectations, will definitely be back

Seriously, you are missing out if you dont know about Unit 55. Their scary themes put the coolest twist on escape rooms. If you are a scaredy cat, you will have a great time. If you arent, youll still have a great time.

Had a great time took us a while to solve the puzzle but we were able to solve it and I would not recommend for children under 13 pretty scary

Always have a great time at Unit 55. I love the creativity they put into the games, as they create and build all of their own games (unlike others). The fear element is fantastic, but not over done. If you’re visiting the Spokane area, or have lived here your whole life, be sure to visit Unit 55. It is quickly becoming the most interactive and exciting entertainment venue in Eastern Washington!

Great way to get your scare on! Games changing all the time...getting ready for Krampus and the holidays! Unit 55 really sets its self apart from other Escape places. Great actors and friendly staff, owner always on site too! Great team building experience for your business too.

This was so much fun. Im so glad I found this. Actors were amazing, and had a great sense of humor. We will definitely be going back. We did Demonic for our first experience. Loved it!! Id recommend this to anyone.

Fresh and always puzzling ideas each time, scary and creative in all. An absolute BLAST every time. We are hopelessly addicted. Highly recommended! Also, the new location is FANTASTIC!

Leave the kids at home...Absolutely the best "Escape Room" experience in the Spokane area. They specialize in horror...but dont let that discourage you, you wont regret coming here. The puzzles are great, not too hard, but they will make you think, and teamwork is essential. Sets are well thought out and add to the the atmosphere, along with some amazing actors. And yes, the actors will touch you occasionally...nothing creepy, they are very respectful, and its all part of the game.

Loved this place. They put a lot of thought in to putting these together. Enjoyed that they have characters in the game and multiple rooms for the same scenario. Will definitely be back

Such a fun, immersive experience. Very different from your basic escape rooms. Prepare to get your hands dirty, brewing scared, and small areas.

Fantastic escape room/haunted house. Really fun, very visceral. Only downside is no bathrooms or lobby, just be prepared for that.

Have been to other escape rooms (all amazing)This one was tacky, unclean, low budget.We brought friends, paid for 8 tickets (NOT CHEAP... I was thoroughly disappointed.

This is a must do if you are in or around the Spokane area! Sooo much fun! The people are friendly and the games will make ya use your brains, If their not eaten first........ Or you can do the (non-scarygame and only worry about using your brains..

The worst escape room experience weve had. There was no outdoor signage for us to find the plave. There was no indication wed be joining random people, strangers, and werent told until we were about to go in. Inside we spent 30 min finding a small key that had slipped deeper into a crack in the drywall. What a waste.

It was a real challenge. Couldnt make it out in time but it was definitely manageable. Everyone should try it at least once. Its like starring in your own game show.

My granddaughter and her friends love this place. They have so much fun being scared and solving puzzles to escape.

We love the crew at Unit 55!!! Weve done several escape challenges here, and theyve all been stellar! The actors are great, and the whole atmosphere is guaranteed to thrill and challenge each participant. The interactive aspect adds another layer to the experience that you wont find in a more traditional escape game. Would definitely recommend booking an escape with them!

I went with three friends and we ended up being paired with three strangers for the Bedlam Asylum escape room. The game had so many surprises that kept us guessing! We felt challenged but ultimately had the absolute best time. It was also really worth it to play with a mix of friends and strangers. The staff did an amazing job! The actors were totally believable and amazing at what they did. I would highly recommend! (and we did escape with seconds to spare)

Preface this with the fact that I am not into scary thing. We did Escape Unit 55s least scary escape room of the year. There were a couple good jump scares but by and large it was a nice level of fear/distraction for me. For perspective there is physical contact and you can be kidnapped from your group though none of us were. In general I felt like puzzles were fun, but maybe a little too straightforward. I would rather have more puzzle and less scary. The people that run the Escape Unit 55 are very devoted to scares and haunted houses so apparently they get much scarier. Overall, the whole group had a great time and I would definitely do another escape. I would like it if they would do some pure escape events intermixed with the scare events. For those into scary things they are doing a big event outdoors on a creepy old property, caves, barns, old house, the works. The clown had an amazing costume. Immaculate face paint.

Been to multiple now and its friggin awesome. Wish I could do it every weekend. The guy and girl running it love their job and it really shows. If you are doing other escape rooms, STOP! This is the only one worth mentioning in 300 miles. Its why they are sold out months in advance. If you havent tried a escape room, what are you waiting for? Book with them now. Wish I could give more stars.

Amazing time! Went with another couple and had 4 others there. Actress was amazing and we were all scared through the entire puzzle! One of the few things I have done in my life that I just loved and had a great time. Owner is a very nice guy, cares about his business and loves what he does. We will def. be going back.

I went with a mixed group, some friends, some strangers. Had a great time, challenging but not impossible puzzles. The lead did a great job of keeping us scared throughout.

I did the Face Off one with friends and family last weekend and we all enjoyed it. My group didnt make it out alive. We dropped the key and didnt even know it, but thats our fault lol. Will definitely do it again
