Peaceful pizzeria on a farm close to Paarl. During the week you can expect to hear the birds chirping and spend hours just taking in the scenery or walking around the farm while waiting for your delicious pizza or pasta. On weekend this venue can get quite busy so be sure to book your table. This is a personal favorite when wanting to spend quality time with those I value

Brilliant setting under the trees overlooking the country side, wide wide variety of pizzas on the menu and decent prices. Try the Under Oaks wines too, very highly recommended, specially the Merlot - try it, you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful views when sitting outside under the trees, and friendly efficient waitress. Unfortunately the mediteranea pizza was just okay..definitely not good, neither bad.Same was said abt the calzone.The prices are on the high side....so check the menu before you order.

Still my favorite pizza place in Paarl. I have noticed though that the salads have shrunk even though the bowls are fancier.

Service is still very good, but their opening hours are limited, so you feel rushed because the kitchen closes early. Also, the new ownership created product inflation. Less topping on the pizzas, like less Parma ham, less peppers, less beef strips, smaller salads. But, prices went up...😒

…our daughter decided to bring us some takeouts from here! It was a “Meat-ii” pizza 🍕 & a “Bianca” Both had fresh ingredients and the dough was thin and real-lii taste-ii…we will have to visit here in the near future…😋😋😋

Really nice setting with good food and nice selection of wines. Great relaxing place especially in the summer when the weather is good. Views are good and outside and inside seating. Outside is bench seating, but still the better option due to views and setting. Decent service. Good if you like Italian food.

Amazing service, food and wine! However the administration could be better. I called to make a booking for the next day and that same day they called me to hear where I am for my booking. I had to call the next day to confirm my booking again. The evening they took the birthday cake I brought with the intention of keeping it cold because that is what the waiter said. They then made the cake pretty which I was thankful for but they didn’t mention any fees that would be payed. I would’ve happily payed for it but then I was forced to pay for something I didn’t know about. The manager or boss did not even apologize or anything for the mishap just said I should pay because if I called 3 TIMES there must’ve been someone to tell me about the cake fees even when I didn’t know about it. I will definitely visit again, but just letting everyone know in advance of the cake fees. 😂

The food was excellent and the service friendly and helpful. The views and ambience not to be missed. I would definitely love to go there again.

Under Oaks has to be one of the rarest gems in the Western Cape in terms of guesthouses. The accommodation was 5-star - fully kitted with lush, green grass leading up to a beautiful view of the little lake and the Paarl mountains. There is a little Italian restaurant on-site with amazing pizzas and a big open space with a playground for the kids. Do yourself a favour and book in for your next weekend away - you wont be sorry. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful experience. I appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant-no pieces of old pizza bases leftovers or sticky sau e bottles or pepper grinders. Really neat and clean and the pizza amazing. Will definitely visit again.

I refer to a previous comment regarding this venue being pet friendly. I can confirm that at NO TIME were we told that Under Oaks wine tasting was NOT pet friendly. In fact, whilst we were still at Rhebokskloof (which is pet friendly and a phenomenal venueI called ahead to confirm that we could come through for wine tasting with our dogs.Needless to say, upon arrival we were warmly greeted and told that although wine tasting *is* pet friendly the restaurant is indeed not. Which is completely acceptable.I feel that the response from the venue in this review section is, however, NOT acceptable. What an utter disgrace! Especially considering the the VERY large purchase of wines and also the exorbitantly priced wine aerators we purchased. All of which I’m happy to back for a FULL refund if this incredibly rude owner wishes!

Excellent wines and really great pizzas. Stunning vistas and a nice play area for the kids. One gripe would be charging for substituting toppings on the pizza. Seems totally unnecessary.

Poor service but was very understaffed on the day. Long waiting times, waiters too busy running around to check on us, most tables had to self serve essentially. My burger wasnt much different than something you get at Wimpy but the pizza was good.

We had a lovely afternoon. Perfect setting and kids had a blast. Unfortunately the flies bothered a bit but the food was tasty and staff friendly. Thankfully we booked didnt realize they were so busy. Will hopefully be back soon.

We enjoyed the wine tasting with a number of options to choose from, hosted by a very knowledgeable and friendly hostess. We had a delicious and generous meal at the Pizzeria which is child friendly and the outside section is delightfully situated under the trees. Wish we could have stayed longer on this beautiful and very old farm. A destination worth visiting!

Had a lovely lunch there. Super atmosphere. Our grandchildren also enjoyed themselves. Service was excellent. Will definitely come again.

Gorgeous outdoor venue! Lovely place to relax with friends, whether on the benches literally “under the oaks”, or to kick off your shoes and laze on the grass. Scrumptious pizzas are a bit overpriced, but portion sizes are good and the ingredients are always fresh!Very child friendly

We booked a table for 4 for lunch this past saturday. The service was excellent. The food was served very quickly and the waitress really paid a lot of attention on placing us at the right table. Thank you to her. We loved the brandy pudding. Well done to the chef!! The pizza & pasta was divine.

Under Oaks is an amazing restaurant. I have never received poor service and I have never received poor quality food. Their pizza are proper wood fired and thin based. And every single one is super tasty. And with reasonable prices to boot, you could not go wrong with Under Oaks. This is a great place for a Sunday lunch or even just a mid week dinner.

One of our favourite local spots. Lovely setting; consistently good food and service from great staff. Very good and well-priced wines from the estate.Our only complaints are as follows: the owner never gets up from behind his desk to greet his patrons or inquire about their experience; he only offers one type of pasta (penne- which for an Italian restaurant is mildly irritating; and the seating offered outside should be more comfortable. We absolutely HATE benches with no backrests! Those were fine in student days.....With regard to this - they also have a very strange policy of not taking bookings for the inside of the restaurant. We often prefer to sit inside in summer, due to the more comfortable seating, or because of bad wind outside.However, they generally wont allow bookings because they prefer to keep the inside seating for those whove booked for outside and need to move in due to bad weather conditions. We have arrived on occasion, on the spur of the moment, when they are full outside, but empty inside - and they have turned us away because of this policy!As a result, we do not go there nearly as often anymore.
