Schimmlige & dreckige Räume ohne Wifi, undichte Gasflaschen in der Küche und streunende Hunde auf dem Gelände. Wir mussten deshalb vorzeitig abreisen.

Lovely getaway. Accommodation was great and the fishing was good. The host took the time off to take us all on a short hike on the beach, this kind of hospitality is difficult to find. Thank you for making our holiday extra special.

Spent a New Years at the lodge with our family of 5. Had an amazing time. If you want to get away from it all to unwind, this is the place to be. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the scenery is beautiful.

Only parked car here but looks good. Would be a hike to the beach though.

I have never had such excellent service and commitment from a group of staff anywhere in SA! I just knew i was in good hands and that i was safe. We never had to lock our room (suitedoors even once. When i saw the view i just went quiet...i have never been in a spot with such superior location...the views are breathtaking!! Whenever i needed something, there was someone to assist me with a smile and a great attitude. A person gets there as an acquaintance, but you leave there as family. I cudnt ask for more... Wow!

We spend 7 nights every year in the Transkei, our favourite warm welcoming and hospitable place has become Umgazana River Lodge. The venue, staff and safety aspect boxes are ticked over and over again. Thank you Benita and Kurt for making our EC experience so memorable. I recommend and give a high five to Umgazana River Lodge and see you soon, my calendar is marked off for next year.
