Umberto in Poznan

Last week, on a beautiful autumn morning, I walked across park Cytadela enjoying the experience and looking for a breakfast. Umbertos door was open. Although the restaurant was not yet open - I was too early - I was welcomed and a kind man offered to make me a coffee. He didnt charge. I walked out with a coffee that tasted like no other. One of my fondest memories.

Food was very normal, service was good

Very beautiful and atmospheric place. The park has a large area with sun loungers! Inside the cafe, everything is in flowers - just incredible! Nice place for sweets and drinks. Fast and quality service. Very well!

I was really impressed and surprised with the food here at Umberto. My family and I ordered pizzas and a mini one for my toddler. They were all delivered hot and fresh. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely visit again on a trip to Poznań.

The place has an exquisite decoration. The food is amazing and the Sangria is very tasty (must try!).The only downside is that you gotta guess if you can sit down or wait to be seated, which means (in our casewe spent few minutes standing in the middle of a heatwave waiting to know what to do before we could sit.Family friendly place, not if you are afraid of wasps since there are a lot of plants inside and right behind the sits, lots of flowers.

Nice place in the park where one can relax on a beach chair in the pretty gardens. Nice and friendly staff, good prices. Super relaxed

Had a lovely few drinks in their lovely outdoor area that is part of the park, nice shade on a warm day, great atmosphere and a such a nice chilled out place!

When I saw from outside I underestimated the restaurant, like judging a book by its cover.My children and I loved it in there.Strongly recommend it.Friendly staff, the place is like a tropical forest

Its a very cute und cosy restaurant. You are sitting in a green garden within a huge amount of colourful flowers and plants.The menu is very creative, there are a lot of delicious and unique meals and drinks.This restaurant ist definitly a must-see-spot in poznan.

Very cool place to grab something to drink. I’ve got lemonade and cold tea. Lemonade was sour and refreshing. Tea was kinda sweet and also refreshing. 🍋

Not tasty food at all. Ordered 2 pizzas. The quality of ingredients is very bad, the worse pizza I tried in life. Also check your payments, they put additional thing in receipt (they gave money back after I showed them). Was waiting for pizza 1,5 hour. Better ride to other place than wait for terrible food.In addition, that "thing" cost 20 zl... Bruschette with tomato, cheese and vegetables.

This place gives me some glasshouse vibe. Its full of plants and colours, feels a bit chaotic but I love this style.It has some private garden, perfect for soaking up the sun surrounded by tropical plants.If its about food there are no many vegetarian and vegan meals. Vegan meals are only available in breakfast menu😥. The nice thing is that both of them are highlighted in menu- I really appreciate that.We ordered vegetarian: pizza Margherita and bruschettas with tomatoes, basil and cheese.Bruschettas were amazing and really Italian as for me. I loved it and if I would come here again I would definitely order them.Pizza was just a classic polish pizza but it was too salty and I couldnt feel any other flavour.All in all my experience as a vegetarian wasnt great. Maybe ppl on classic meat-based diet would be more satisfied with this place.

Great food in very nice surroundings

We went to Umberto twice in a space of few days last week. Ordered hot drinks each time. Staff were friendly and service was quick and perfect. Umberto is hugely popular and for a good reason. Have I mentioned it is beautiful inside? Lots of happily growing plants trying to overtake the place. And a sleepy black cat (that was during the mid week visit, when Umberto was quiet for a change).

Prices are higher than average, but the interior is truly unique, service is adequate, and the selection of dishes and drinks is very big.

Popped in for hot chocolate and soup. Both homemade and both absolutely delicious. What a fantastic find on a cold winter morning.

Well, I like to write positive comments, but this is not allways possible. I was counting that Umberto, as the only place Ive found in Cytadela Park will enable us to eat something warm and tasty to give us an opportunity to continue our trip to the Military Museum. Unfortunately we have stucked in the restaurant... The place was quite crouded. The staff had a difficulty to find a place for an adult and two children - well - we werent a large enough group to deserve a "normal" table so we were given a table for two with additional chair. OK I understand that pandemic has its own right and that there is always a risk that a large group of people will come. We have somehow managed to put a basket with cutlery, two beautiful cups of tea (with two tea potsand a cup of delicious hot chocolate on the table. But that was almost all what was possible to be put there. It was tighty, but we enyoed it. After c.a. 20 mins of waiting our dishes were almost thrown on the table. I and my children where rushing trying to somehow stack all cups and a basket to make some room for plates... as waiter was making an impression she is not going to wait. Food was delicious, but some distaste has remained, even though she (waiterhas thrown a mechanical "bon appetit"... I dont know, perhaps Ive forgotten to add some sugar to my afternoon tea...

Food was good especially the pizza and pasta. Clay pot was good too. Desserts werent that great.Service was a little slow but that was possibly because it was busy. The vibe was good.

This place is great. The outdoor area is the best. We love this park.

Nice restaurant in the middle of the Cytadela Park. Good food and a huge variety of drinks. I can recommend the warm cider for cold days.

This place hidden in the middle of the park . Inside you like inside botanical garden. Very lovely place and good stuff.I fell in love with hot chocolate with cinnamon powder 😋 I will definitely recommend this place to warm up after long walk in Citadelia park

This place is wonderful! Great food! Just had the hot spiced cider as the temperature is dropping. Yum. Looks inconspicuous from the outside but is a beautiful rich garden on the inside. Wonderful service. Thanks will definitely be back.

Very nice atmosphere. Nice staff. Really good food. Decoration is fabulous , its got its own unique style. Although we did get lost going out. It should be more signs and light how to leave the park. We did lose our car. Found it after 1 hour.

Idyllic location set amongst the trees in Citadela. Food is good but service is a little strained especially if you are trying to overcome the language barrier. Some of the waitresses have been a little impatient.

Delicious chicken livers with potato wedges, beets, salad. Great service. Recommended.

Really nice restaurant. They have a big variety of dishes- especially pizza and pasta. The pizza was delicious and also big! Inside the restaurant its really warm even when its cold outside. I recommend it.

Reliable quality restaurant in the middle of the Cytadela park. Italian food, consistently delivered. Good selection of soft drinks, beers & stronger alcohol. Ideal for summer evenings.

An oasis within an oasis. We visited in late summer when the garden was in full bloom. A bit of the tropics in Poznan. Food and drink available to take away and enjoy in the park outside, preferably on a hammock.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing.

Nice atmosphere, private area for guests, tasty food (I recommend pizza and pasta), they have special menu for children. I was there 2 or 3 times and I am very happy. They serve meals in 20-30 minutes. Unfortunately if somone want to go there between 13-17 (specially on Friday, Saturday or Sundaywith big group (6 or more people its better to make a reservation couse there are not many tables.

This place is fantastic. It has a beautiful design and atmosphere with plants all around you. Its like having dinner in a tropical garden. The food and drink is outstanding and the prices are very acceptable. Always extremely good service. Make sure you go, it will make your day.

It was beautiful, sunny but freezing cold day. I was walking through the Cytadela Park looking for a place where I could get hot drink to warm me up. I found this amazing restaurant with the gardens filled with warm, exotic plants and singing canary birds! When I was sipping hot tea and waiting for my ordered, a cat that belongs to the restaurant came to me. It was purring and miaowing trying to get my attention.It was so relaxing.Food was delicious and customer service very welcoming and friendly.You definitively should visit this magical place.

Nice place in a picturesque area of citadel park. Good pizza, pretty nice choice of casseroles and pastas. Prices are a bit higher than in that district due to the location.

Lovely place. Great food, but you have to have time as waiting for the order is quite long. But worth it. Pizza is really tasty. Freshly made lemonade awesome.

Waited 20 minutes for a barely warm hot dog to go, and they forgot about the ketchup. Clearly understaffed...
