Udupiwala in Haldwani

A good experience for people who are hungry & crave South Indian food. The dishes served to us had the required flavors of traditional south indian recipes. The total bill was also quite economical. All in all good value for money spent!👍🙏Still maintaining the food standards, the kesar halwa has pineapple & is worth a try!

Quiet near to authentic South Indian food ( karnataka style). The seating arrangement could have been better n innovative.

Super food. Quick service. Only item i didnt like was the dahi vada - rest was very good - masala dosa, uttapam, upma.

A good stop while going to Nainital. Food is delicious. Serving time is minimal. Family place. The bathrooms are decent.

They really dnt knw hw to prepare the Orginal South Idly or sambhar nd Dishes.. North is Ok ..Dnt go wit the name Udupi wala as southIndian..its expensive...lft evrything is very Good .

One of excellent place for south indian food.Tried idly, uthampam, dosa and home made beverage (forgot nameand filter coffee. I found this place to be better than lot of places in south India.

If you want to have South Indian Food at a tidy place near Haldwani. Food quality and cleanliness is good.

Very nice place to have South Indian dishes at reasonable prices in kathgodam Uttrakhand. I visited there and had rawa masala dosa, a plate of idli sambhar and sambhar vada . The idlis were so yumm , sambhar was so delicious and different in taste and rawa dosa is so amazing.The staff was so humble and nice. Overall I loved this place and will love to visit again with family or friends.

Authentic South Indian cuisine in Northern India is itself a great delight. This is always a stop over place for tourists, either reaching or leaving Kathgodam.

Very nice Udupi style South Indian food. Perfect location just before the ghat sections begin. Walking (10mindistance from Kathgodam railway station.. so even if you travel to Kathgodam and waiting for train, take a halt here for breakfast, lunch, dinner anything

Dismal food and hygiene standards! My son’s holiday is ruined because of severe food poisoning after he ate masala dosa. They use stale or rotten potatoes. The dosa was smelly. And was left after a few bites.

Such a nice place to have South Indian dishes at reasonable prices. I visited there and had Onion masala dosa and a plate of idli sambhar. The idlis were so yumm and sambhar was so delicious in taste. Chutneys were soo good in taste the dosa was quite big in size I mean 2 people can easily share 1 dosa to full fill their tummy needs. The staff was so humble and nice. Overall I loved this place and will love to visit again with family or friends.

Lovely experience. The service is a bit slow due to high volume of orders i think but as soon as they serve, it was worth the wait. Probably one of the best South Indian restaurant in Haldwani.

A shocking experience at our favourite place of last 4 years left us in disbelief of their service and poor quality of food served. A dine in guest on our adjoining table left their food half way, paid and left which brought a sad feeling of seeing, A legacy of cherished outlet, getting lost.

Reached just before 7 AM opening time, welcomed by owner who had just lit the sacred lamp. Very friendly staff, remarkably good south indian dishes, neat and clean environment. The humble owner himself brought a dish for tasting "on the house".Recommended for those who believe in enjoying and paying appropriately for the good things.

Fantastic south indian restaurant. Their Masala dosa and Idli are to die for. The food and taste quality is better than Sagar ratna. If youre planning to visit UK, do dine at Udupiwala. They have ample space for parking too.

A rack has been placed inside the restaurant and very good books have been placed in it for the sale. That book is very insightful. My advice is please put more such books in the rack.

Avoid if possible. We ordered South Indian Lunch, Rice Varieties. One bowl of sambar they gave had hair in it. Pappad given with thali was pathetic. Overall below average restaurant.

Good for morning cuppa. Love their filter coffee. Soft, fluffy idlis with plenty of coconut chutney and sambar. On our way to Bhowali, it has been a go to place since long. Has never disappointed us.

You must visit if you love South Indian food.They provide a variety of South Indian dishes and some North Indian food too.It is very close to kathgodam railway station and getting food packed from here would be a good idea if you wish to skip the train meal.I particularly loved their uttapam and vadas, not to miss the super soft spongy idlis

Very prompt service. Guard assisted in parking. Food was served immediately. Very delicious south Indian cuisine. Ambience was just ok. Overall a v good dine in option before riding up into hills or going miles into plains downward.

Loved it. It will give you an authentic taste of South. The best taste of South Indian food in Himalayan belt. But it only offers you with a veg menu.

Must try this restaurant while going to Bhimtal and Nainital from Haldwani route.Quantity and quality of the food was really good and also it’s not to expensive.There is a Juice shop next to this restaurant must try juices from that shop, they offered fresh fruit juices.

Had breakfast here ...idly ,upma ,masala dosa and coffee are very good ..coffee is superb even though it is watery in consistency..bill is on higher side ..but its ok ,because of the authenticity..

Worst restaurant , will never suggest anyone to go here. Dosa was filled with boiled potatoes there was no other ingredient/masala/salt other than that .Be it dosa/Utpam all dishes were tasteless. We returned back without eating anything. Even vanilla shake was not good. Bislery water was the only item we enjoyed there.🙂 It was really horrible experience.

Food Pit stop when travelling back to the plains. Vegetarian food. The quality of food has been consistent since our first visit back in 3017. I love their banana chips.

Good place to eat south Indian food and coffee.Lunch comes with 4 roti and small cup of rice.Place is very neat and nice.There was a sweet stall outside where you can get very good laddu and mountain honey.

Such a nice restaurant located at the Kathgodam to Mukteshwar highway.. they will make you feel the real test of South Indian foos.. here you can get everything, people are working here are really warm with adorable behaviour.. their test is really amazing.. if you are planning to visit here do visit udupiwala...

Pretty Fine and Decent Place ! Dosa was good and pretty heavy! Surely more than enough for anyone. The Taste was authentic still didnt liked sambar much.

I have never been happier like this when I visited any South Indian restaurant in North India, specifically Uttarakhand. As I have spent eating lot of South Indian food locally there, I can guarantee that you will love this restaurant. From Dosa to Vada and Filter Coffee everything is delicious and top Notch.

No doubt about the healthy taste and quantity of South Indian items served here, which is on the foothills of Kumaun ranges of Himalaya. The location is very beautiful and customer service is very much cordial and satisfactory. Do visit here while going or coming back from Nainital and enjoy their Services are with smile👍

Nice clean place to have a quick bite before getting onboard the train. Located just 5 minutes away from Kathgodam Railway Station. Dosa, Uttapa, Idli and Wada all were nicely done. Hygienic and Fairly priced. Worth trying.

A hidden gem in kAthdgodam. Best place to have a nice south indian food before hitting the hills. Tried idli, vada and filter coffee during breakfast. The food was hot and fresh.Highly recommend for quality of food and price. Service is little slow but can be compensated for the yumm food.

The restaurant has tiny area but the furniture is good. Restaurants serves wide range of south indian food which tastes good but i found items a bit costly. Staff is good and food service is nice.You can have good time here.

As the name suggests,it prominently has South Indian dishes on its menu card and they really give the authentic taste of South Indian food in North India ! They also cater North Indian Thali.It has a decent ambience and suitable for a family to dine.
