Škroupovo nám. 1282/5, 130 00 Praha 3-Žižkov, Czechia, Prague
Compact venue with a small garden, 10 kinds of draft beer & a late-opening Czech kitchen.
We started having beers on the terrace, and since the weather was cold, we continued inside with the permission of the owners. At some point, before leaving, I took my beer outside while I was smoking. A young waiter came outside and roughly asked me to pay. I told him I would when I had finished the beer and he threatened me in czech, swearing and insulting at me while I didnt understand a thing. After paying, I crossed him on the stairs and he tried pushing me to fall down while he was swearing. Worst experience in my life with a waiter. He should be fired for that.
One of the best places to visit after long trip semi-fasting (for those who do not consume too much during traveling, and those avoiding junk food). Great atmosphere, good beer, big portions, if you are really hungry and need refill without overcrowding, thats a great place to stop by!
Worse food we had in Prague ! Everywhere we went had some delicious food but oh boy we missed the mark with this one! We had the Zizkov Tower meal, with mashed potatoes and I’ve never experienced anything so horrendous, the smell almost made us throw up, it’s seemed like the meat was picked out of the trash bin, the mashed potatoes were just boiled and just slightly crushed with a fork, the beer was okey but it’s Prague the beer will be okey anywhere, and it’s was the most expensive place we ate our whole time here, even less expensive in old town… and they had the ducking cheek to add 70kc to the bill for a tip, anyone even considering stay away and have some better food else we’re
Great place overall with exception of few crazy waitresses who treat you like garbage. And dont know how to bring beer without spilling it on your laptop. All the guys are friendly and useful. Good food
Fabulous place that you should definitely visit while in Prague. Awesome beer, delicious food and fantastic service!
Great neighbourhood pub in a quiet location near the TV Tower. Large menu of mainly Czech food is ok. Good range of Czech beers. Nice to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings
THE BEST BEER CHEESE. that’s it. It was the best beer snack in prague. Also great service, nice cheap beer and other tasty cheese snacks, I really enjoyed this place. And it’s open really late! Loved it
Fine place if you happen to be near and want a beer and some snacks. Nothing really stands out about it, though. I also had the lamb sausage and bread l- both both felt like they had sand in them. Others didn’t seem bothered so maybe I just got unlucky.
U Sadu is a very nice bar. It is located in a quiet area and there is a small garden in the street. There is a really good choice of beers from different small breweries. The interior is very cool. Here is the challenge to try at least a small glass of each beer they have :)
Horrible service, brought out the wrong dish, got angry when I asked for what I ordered. Even charged me extra for it. Keep an eye on your tab, they might try to add extra drinks to it. If you want better food, for less money, walk 5 minutes to v Atelieru.
Another success of czech cuisine! Melting the cheese before serving nachos from the bag is apparently unnecessary for this restaurant! At least they have improved the service compared to previous years. Dont forget to visit their unforgettable toilet that looks like a storage that was peed all over from a 7 years old. Proper hospoda.
If you want a real Czech experience - this place is a must! Open till late, honest, greasy and delicious food and wide variety of beers and drinks. Dont expect elegant place, expect a real place :)
Very good food and nice vibe especially downstairs. We will highly recommend the IPA and pork ribs.
Great place if you like to be scammed! The food was awful, the plates were dirty and they let you pay way to much. When you ask for a fair price they are aggressive.
Heavily overpriced, and still average food quality and slow service. Asked which side I want and didnt tell that its not included in the price. Not recommended.
Unfriendly staff, the menu is big with many options but the quality of the products is poor. There is a good selection of beers, they even have a beer produced by them but the prices are a bit expensive compared to the other places around. The restaurant is not barrier free, people with disabilities should go during the day and sit outside because its impossible to enter inside with a wheelchair.
Its a nice traditional bar, open late on weekends. They have their own beer which is really good. Nice seating area outside. Staff are generally okay, some more grumpy than others.
I usually dont write any reviews, but after eating dinner here I had a very disgusting food poisoning.. ( I was nauseaus for the whole day and had very severe stomach aches). Also my friends who came with me were nauseaus the whole next day!The food was also cold and probably heated in the microwave for at least a few seconds..Im not very sensible ,but this was just not acceptable in any way, lost a whole day of my holidays just because of this cant understand any of those good reviews. STAY AWAY
We were recommended this place by our AirBnB host, and he was spot on. The food was delicious and our server was very friendly! The downstairs area is a hidden gem.
I ordered a beer, they gave me the most expensive. Burger ok, but Caprese bowl is a mistake. 200kr for 2 tomatoes, pinch of pesto and some salad.
If I could give this place a 20 star rating I would . Great staff , great food , great beer , friendly locals and a really cool atmosphere. I first visited U Sadu for nearly 25 years ago and it has lost nothing of its charm . An absolute joy to go back for an evening. Unrivalled approval rating 👍👍👍👍👍
a rich choice of beers, friendly fast service and some food -topinky- until 4 am. the basement is a bar and hang out, fun.
Although the food and beer are great, be aware that they will overcharge any foreigners. They add beers to your tab that you didn’t order. Count your beers carefully !
local welcoming, warm atmosphereCmunda po Kapicku was very tastey.i can stay in a place like this for hours and find new details in every corner, floor, walls and of course artistic ceiling.
The pork knee was amazing! 100% recomended! The guy that served us was super nice and food came quick. The interior is also amazing.
Great house beer Sadek. Ceasar salad also good value and delish. Pasta was tasty. The rest of the food seems a bit overpriced but where it isnt these days?
Nice place and location. Old beautiful pub inside. However the service was rude and they were constantly asking if we finished or wanted a refill for our beers even though our glasses was half filled. My friend food portion was gigantic but mine was very little. The prices were ok
Wide selection of draft and bottled beer, draft Pilsner Urquell was great. Rumpsteak Done médium as reguested, served with very good french fries. Prices equal to quality.
The meals were very tasty, drinks were fine. The one star lost is for the service that was overwhelmed when the pub was full - with long waiting times and forgotten orders.
Nice place, but check the bill before paying! Weve been here for some food an beer and both was nice, the place was really cool and the staff was friendly. The food was quite expensive though. Unfortunately we got charged way to much according to our calculation (ca. 1600czk instead of max. 1000czkbut did not notice immediately because of the currency difference. Its possible that it was a misstake, but in anycase its better to ask for the bill if you go here.
We were 6 and we had different kinds of foods, ribs, burger, club Sandwich. Portions are enough big and tasty, beer is very good, but not the green one ))
Worst gulas ever! It was obvious that it was heated in microwave, sauce was warm but meat was cold. Avoid if you want to try real Czech food!
Rustic czech bar that server good quality czech food and several bar dishes. They also have merlin on tab here which is incredible, service is great comparing to other places.
Foreigner, but not quite tourist, oriented Czech pub with Czech food and good selection of excellent beer. My go to place to eat everyone Im in Žižkov, Prague!I recommend their goulash or pork tenderloin filled with cheese and jalapenos. As for beer, they have a unique beer brewed just for them: Sádek.
Excellent vibe. The food is great also. Indoor and outdoor seating. Extensive quality beer selection and patient staff to deal with our large group. Thank you.
Best tartar I had. Menu is extensive, so many options to choose from, for vegetarians even. Beers are good. Theres a football table.
The new hired waitress was very polite and she was trying to help us with our order, the beer is excellent and atmosphere very young. The food menu is too wide, no good restaurant can prepare so many things and therefore the food was horrible, I had problems all night after eating there. Recommend it for drinks and snacks!
Great food and astonishingly good beers. The sausage cooked in dark beer, with potato dumplings and caraway bread was superb. The Demon semi-dark beer and Matuska Raptor particularly, were out of this world.
Best beer Ive found in Prague, the devils toast was lovely and gf said her scrambled eggs were the best she had ever had. Looking forward to going again.
As always, wonderful food, friendly service and excellent beer. The steak tartare was fresh and vibrant, the lamb sausages were spicy and tender, the chicken wings were crispy and salted to perfection and the deviled toast was spicy and delicious. Good beer and a few jagers to wash it all down makes this place and ideal spot. Exceptional from start to finish
Great selection of Czech traditional dishes, as well as a selection of beer brewed exclusively for them which was nice to see. Fantastic recommendation from Dylan, our free walking tour guide @ Sandemaan from earlier in the week. The pub stays open and serves food until 4am, so a great place to go if you want some decent food with everywhere else closed.
By far the best place I ate and drank in Prague. This is one of those places you get excited about coming back to eat at. They have a great local beer selection and really good hot wine. I highly recommend you try the wine. We were only in the city three days and ate here twice. Both times were consistently good.Sadu lives up to the hype!Daniel was our waiter and the service was outstanding! Highly recommended!
Great food. Great beer. Amazing price. We loved it and went back twice. The beer they brew in house is excellent.
A nice, warm pub with good drinks and nice food as well. There is a huge terras outside and super full, inside as well but I could get a small table where I enjoyed two beers and a nice chicken dish. If you are in the area of the Žižkov Television Tower for sure visit this place as well.
They accept BTC, BCH, LTC, DASH, Monero, and ETH. Great menu with many vegetarian options. Černý pivo na čápů (dark beer on tap).
The kitchen is open throughout early morning hours so it was perfect for our very late night dinner. The host was very welcoming. The food was delicious and came in huge servings. We had beer, potato pancakes, pork knee and goulash. If you want something thats like a home-cooked meal then this is the place for you. Prices are reasonable too. I was happy and totally stuffed when i left :)
Excellent. I had the the specialty "Old bohemian trough" (left on the pictureand my girlfriend had beef steak and both were fenomenal. The portions were quite big. The beer was very good and cheap (46 CZK). The waitress was great, with a very good english accent, and very attentive. All in all, from our weekend in Prague, this is the place that we were most satisfied with :strongly recommend!
What a great typical food with great prices! If youre visiting Prague, you should come here.Awesome beer as well. Its open until late so if youre hungry at night, you can come :)
Good experience, just a little let down with my dish.Ordered the Roast pork with cabbage and dumplings. The meat was dry, the dumplings were good, but there was no sauce for which to soak up with the dumplings.Priced a little high as well. Some better places on the area.My friend had the Steak Tartar, which was great. Saved them from getting a 3.
Friendly and warm environment (underground). Lots of beer choices (small/large). Recommended for those looking for local experience, and beer tasting.Food is well prepared and delicious. No smoking inside.
