Tyringham Cobble Park - Park and Garden in Hancock, United States
Lovely intermediate hike that goes from meadow to woods. The vista from the top is lovely and the stiles and sandstone rabbit make this a special hike.
Easy 2.3 mile hiking loop that goes along the Appalachian trail. I highly recommend it!
Beautiful pastoral views of the barns and village.
Did a nice little hike! So beautiful when it snows.
Yet another wonderful Trustees property featuring the relatively effortless Cobble Loop Trail and no shortage of clean, clear fresh air and beautiful flora.Hiking the Appalachian Trail on your bucket list? This scenic property surprises with the opportunity to begin your first leg here while traversing a portion of the loop trail.A pleasantly located picnic table adjacent to the parking lot, provides the additional bonus of rewarding al fresco dining afterward, under the refreshing canopy of shade trees.
Passed through while hiking the AT. Lovely area with beautiful views from the Cobble.
Nice park
A lovely hike
Excellent hike and nice view from the summit. Has some steep inclines.
Beautiful panoramic views.
Great spring hike. We will be back for sure.Loved the bunny rock formation!
Serene and rural loop trail. Great views of Tyringham. Narrow in some spots. Watch out for the mud this time of year! Wear shoes with good traction and you should be fine.
Beautiful, lesser-known spot to hike/walk in the fields and woods, and an excellent place to enjoy Autumn color. The full loop hike is not terribly long, but there are intermittent steep areas, so it still provides some good leg work. Overlooks at the ridge are perfect for a snack break or picnic lunch.
Lovely little loop with amazing views.
Nice spot, quiet, beautiful trail to view of valley
Easy 2 mile hike that crosses the Appalachian Trail and features an overlook of the surrounding country-side.
This is a great place to go for an hour to an hour and a half long hike around the loop. There are a few great scenic vistas and the uphill climb isnt too bad. the trail is moderately trafficked so you are going to run into other people. Some of the rock formations are amazing to see. This is definitely a place worth hiking.
Great viewsWorth the hike
What a great place. Moderate hike, well worth it. About 1.5 miles and 2 hours.
Too many dogs crapping all over the trails, with irresponsible owners who dont clean up. Otherwise a lovely spot.
Grew up there and love it still ! Absolutely beautiful.. And Tranquility seems to follow your every step.. highly recommend
Great Christmas day hike in the Cobble.
What a great little hike. Amazing views at the top of the hill.
The Tyringham Cobble is an excellent hike. It isnt too terribly long (only 2 miles and not a difficult climb (around 500 feet vertical. Atop you are treated to heautiful views of the valley, and you may even get to descend alongside the cows!
Quick loop with steeper segments. We enjoyed the spectacular Autumn foliage.
Easy hike; Great scenery; Close to Stockbridge and other points of interest
Great short loop hike with a variety of terrain and views. Can be extended by hiking on the AT.
Mesmerizing!!! Beautiful Fall foliage all around, we had a little picnic... definitely gotta see it!!!Well worth the trip!
Beautiful section of the Appalachian Trail, nice scenic views when you reach the summit.
Awesome Hike. We saw many cute animals
Beautiful hike and lovely space in spring, summer, and fall!
Fantastic short loop trail with great views and ambience. A bit steep in places but worth the climb. The surrounding countryside is charming and picturesque. I heard the BSO perform Beethovens Pastoral Symphony the day before at Tanglewood, so what could be more appropriate to cap off a weekend in the Berkshires? "The awakening of joyful feelings upon arriving in the countryside."
Easy and scenic two mile loop with great views at the summit.
Beautiful well maintained trail
Very scenic, nice loop trail which was a challenge for me since I havent walked much. It took us about an hour
Love its trails
Great breakfast and coffee with live music. Lots of fun shops including a well curated used bookstore. Worcester has more than you think!
This is one of my favorite short day-hikes in The Berkshires. Your efforts will be rewarded with views from the summit that are simply spectacular. Plus, it allows you to say "Ive been on the AT". :-)
Absolutely stunning 😍
Great, quick hiking area!
Tyringham Cobble has a lovely a 1-2 hour circular walk up to the top of the high hill with great views as well as through forested woods part of which is on the Appalachian trail and across a broad sweep of fields that parallel Hop Brook. The trail has views of the Tyringham valley and the small quaint village as well as lovely wooded sections some of which are steep. You can also just do 1/4 or one half the walk across the front of the bottom of the Cobble where it is just slightly rolling and a lot more flat for ease of walking and a view of the village. In wet seasons it can be squishy or muddy so wear good walking / hiking shoes. As with all Berkshire walks check yourself to ticks afterwards.Great refreshing walk that can be short or longer as you like. Fun to picnic at the top. Lastly you can continue on for a long walk if you stay on the Appalachian trail. The trail is marked. Read the sign s at the trailhead lot.Photo of the field right beside the Cobble and the town cemetery.
Good view and a nice short hike to go with the family. Good to walk dogs
What a great hike, easy for the family.. some younger kids might be a little bit nervous if there are cows in the field when you have to walk through, but they wont bother you. There are several view points from the top, and the view down to the valley is very Serene. Its almost as if youre looking down at a place that has been locked in time from decades ago.Definitely a great hike, and a nice place to take the family, its a nice fairly quick diversion from the Lee Outlets if you happen to be up that way and have the inclination to want to spend a little time in nature.
Great hikes to top of the cobble and circular path to the top and back with beautiful valley and wood views. Its fairly steep up but not extreme. It can be muddy after rains. Its an hour is youre moving fast, in shape and looking for a work out or take your time enjoying stops, views, rest or a picnicand make it last 1.5 - 2 + hours. You can also just walk across the front of the Cobble above the Tyringham Main Road across a sloped field to the Hop Brook foot bridge and back for an easy 30+ minute walk. The paths also connect to the Appalachian Trail if you want a longer walk and thats not circular so you turn around to come back.Any walk on the Cobble is gorgeous with woods, fields and valley views. Bucolic.
A wonderful hilly loop starting out at tge Fire Station in Tyringham with overgrown wild grassland gated to keep out the cows to stream beds and narrow rocky inclines. Intersects with the Appalachian Trail.
Nice hike. Excellent views.
Nice walk / hike with a good view at the top
Beautiful loop trail for serious hikers.
Beautiful - peaceful - medium length hike
Fantastic place for hiking. Offers lots of wonderful view of scenic vistas of The Berkshires.
