Twigs with Beans - Coffee shop in Rondebosch, South Africa
Super little suburban restaurant. Great coffee and super service. If youre in the area well wirth a stopover.
Fresh delicious food. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Another gem. Will be back soon.
Excellent service, good food we had a really nice birthday tea there
32 % increase from last week to this ! We paid R 33.00 for our favorite toasted sarmie and loved it as our office is close-by. Today a new menu and the same sarmie cost R 48.00. We used to buy 5 x a day - you have just lost our entire stream of revenue and your local support. We have pooled our money, ordered online a really cool flat toaster for the office kitchen and will be making our own toasties in furniture. #unhappyharfield
Lovely vibes feels like a personal home space. They just need to add wi fi
Best breakfast and lunch spot. Well priced and great location.
Really really uninspiring. Mediocre at best.Space bare and dark with a grubby feel. Service grudgingly offered. Much must have changed since the photographs online, were taken. Unrecognisable.
Cozy, warm and friendly!!
The menu was very basic - eggs, sandwiches, 4 salads. I opted for the vegetarian pasta salad. The ingredients ie. Pasta, cabbage (lots, butternut (hardly any), beetroot (hardly any), corn (was missing), couscous and curry mayo dressing were a bad combination, was very bland and tasteless.... The juice (pear, carrot and applewas good but expensive R40...
Lovely location, good value for money but the service was slow which detracted slightly from the otherwise wonderful vibe.
Service incredibly slow and waitress relatively unfriendly and too busy to really care. Needs more waiters on a Sunday. Had to get our own menus and had to ask for the bill twice and eventually just went in to pay. Coffee was great but definitely better places to go service wise.
Great food, but more waiters will be good. Service was slow, which was acceptable on a Sunday
Lovely local café with great staff and delicious treats.
I was impressed by the coffee. They use Tribe beans and it was up to standard. Shop is nestled in a lovely area with a beautiful church opposite.
Fantastic little coffee shop with lovely out door seating and blitz fast internet. The team are super friendly and happy to help as much as they can. New favourite spot in Kenilworth.
First visit, pleasantly surprised. Tasty sandwich, could have had a bit more garnish. Reasonable price.
Great coffee and the most amazing chicken mayo sandwich, with warm and friendly service! Such a quaint little vibe in the heart of the Village.
This is a nice place, really, but the food disappointed me. The bacon and egg sandwich was bone dry. This was due to a combination of it being normal Sasko-type bread you buy in any corner shop, and NO butter used on the bread. The pancake was also unfortunately not good. Pity, because the coffee was good and the staff friendly.
Fantastic coffee and solid wifi on offer. Also juices and Ok fare on sale. Reconfigured and under new ownership, it remains a popular place for locals to work, meet and hang out.
Family friendly....dog friendly outside. Awesome food. Friendly staff. Chilled vibe
Ive been there on two occasions. And both times the service was great and the food delicious. Both breakfasts were beautifully presented. Cant wait to go back
Best coffee in Harfield Village - start every day with a Twiggs Coffee.Oh and try their Avo Stack special, add streaky bacon.Thank me later.Go check them out if youre in the area and on 2nd Avenue, next door to Sakura.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service.. Their smoothies are authentic and amazing and the service was friendly and great. They probably need one more waiter on busy days but they were great
Without a doubt the best coffee in CT. I love the relaxed vibe simple fare and friendly staff. The barrister here is gold!
Coffee with almond milk was good. Orange juice was very good (freshly squeezed). Waiter kept forgetting about me because I was sitting outside.
Excellent healthy food and a lovely garden. I enjoyed by meal and the staff were awesome. Given a very difficult customer (me)
Had a lovely lunch break here. Great service, food and coffee :)
Situated in Harfield Village this is a homely and friendly little coffee shop. Seating inside and outside, friendly and helpful staff, great food and highly recommended
Great spot for a good coffee. Simple meals including toasted sarmies and salads. A cosy neighbourhood hangout. Yes, they have WiFi.
Best coffee in the Southern Suburbs! Friendly staff and great food. Fast and reliable WiFi. A winner on all levels!
Absolutely terrible service and food! Waitress was useless, coffee tasted burnt and dessert was horrible. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough
Just love the place. Nice staff and the food is good. Real village spot.
Love my local for coffee in the mornings. Friendly and welcoming staff
Very laidback atmosphere and relaxed garden environment outside. Good coffee with milk substitutes. Havent eaten anything off the menu before but would love some vegan options on the menu as there is only one and its vegetarian if Im not mistaken.
Twigs continues to pump out the best coffee in the southern suburbs. Such a peaceful place with great service.
Twigs used to be a very congenial establishment, but is less so under new management, who have also taken to using the Cape water crisis as a way of profiting from the sale of bottled water and declining to offer tap water. (People drinking tap water is not a cause of the crisis, and bottled water has a huge, huge environmental footprint.)
Quaint and peaceful low key coffee shop and sandwich bar, indoor and outdoor seating. definitely a place to hang out.
Cute local vibe - rustic interior, the English breakfasts are highly recommended, and the coffee is good.
Still the best coffee in Kenilworth Claremont. New owners Gary and Elsa have injected new energy together with new crockery and improved the service. Please request they provide a daily newspaper for patrons who like to read the printed word whilst enjoying their good food.
Best coffee in Cape Town! Its very local and rustic - but the staff are amazing - and you cant beat the coffee!
Excellent breakfast and delicious fresh juices, hot chocolate and coffee! Great value for money!
Now under excellent new management. Good coffee, delicious light meals and cakes. Vegan and vegetarian options. Pleasant outside seating.
Nice homely little shop with great coffee and fresh healthy food options. I can recommend the design your own salad, its brilliant.
Decor is great, art on the wall, generous portions. Friendly staff. Balsamic on the salad was way to sweet.
Got the wrong breakfast, and then right breakfast with the wrong toast. Had to request butter. Food was ok, but mushrooms were hardly cooked. Overall a bit disappointing.
Lovely atmosphere, with only a few tables inside and outside, so even when its busy, the noise doesnt overwhelm you. They have great coffee and breakfasts, and very friendly staff. Great if youre looking for a quiet place to work, as they have free Wifi.
Brilliant service, the team that work there are super friendly and the food, smoothies and coffee is great.
Such a pleasant surprise! It looks like one of the more popular joints for morning "e-commuter" users - free WiFi and decent coffee and breakfast! There are options of indoor or outdoor seating, with the outdoor varying from on the "stoep" to around the corner in the garden. Unfortunately, and I believe illegally, the outdoor garden area is occupied by smokers. I have nothing against people who are smokers, but I have a lot against people who are smoking. Its unfair and unfortunate that the non-smokers are prevented from enjoying the garden environment because of the patrons who are smoking. Thats why Ive docked one star. Why is there no dedicated smoking area - everyone can enjoy the pristine garden area and if theres an urge or need to smoke, pop into the smoking room, get your habit done, then come back out. Nonetheless, its a lovely place with great food at a reasonable price - the coffee I had was great too and it was fairly busy early in the morning but not uncomfortable.
If you are in a rush, this is the wrong place to go. If not, this is a relaxed spot for ok coffee. Service remains the largest challenge, but it is with a smile and some witty banter.
Good little spot to grab coffee and breakfast or lunch. Service is a bit casual--so dont go when you are in a hurry but its a lively space. So sit and enjoy.
