Amazing place to visit
A lovely place for a quick peaceful get away, away from the city noise.
And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

Twala Sanctuary in Goromonzi is a quiet and peaceful environment. It’s perfect place to lay back and relax with family or friends. Braaing facilities are available at no extra charge. Definitely recommend visiting at least once. The money is used for the upkeep of the animals and the place.
Beautiful place well maintained the animals are looked after ❤️❤️❤️, Helen is very friendly will definitely visit again and recommend others.
I absolutely LOVED IT 😍The road to get there is a bit horrendous but definitely worth it. I love the vision they have. Its an amazing experience. Definitely would recommend a visit.
Fantastic animal sanctuary. Pleasant and helpful staff
Hidden gem, a very clean, tranquil and serene place. Ideal for a lovely quiet picnic or a family and friends outing. Friendly staff. One can interact with rescued wild and domestic animals, braai, and canoeing is also available. Amazing work being done there, providing a home for rescued animals as well as providing local community with veterinary services. Twala needs all the support we can give, will definitely visit again.
It was such a privilege to spend the day with Sarah, Mimi and Kayla, what a team with such dedication, the animals were all looked after so well and all in such good condition, was well worth the day trip. Thank you.
Fun quiet place to relax and spend time
What an amazing animal sanctuary. We were just blown away at how dedicated all the staff are to all the animals. What a special special place.
Very friendly stuff, doing an honorable task of saving and rehabilitating wild life. Very nice and serene environment too, definitely worth visiting.Thank you, Twala

A truly special place!
Absolutely amazing place. Will go there 100 times. Collin was amazing
Really beautiful and relaxing
Beautiful and relaxing not far from harare for a Sunday lunch
The animals are so well looked after.
This is a place solely about sick or maimed animals and the people who help them rehabilitate. The care and attention going to all of the animals here is absolutely brilliant- every person caring for the animals is totally dedicated to getting them well and back on their feet and hopefully back into the wild if that is where they are from. They need a lot of support for visitors to come visit and learn what they are doing there to keep feed and medication coming in. This is a super place. Lovely little cake and milkshake café. U can take your own picnic and braais with u.WELL WORTH THE VISIT
Took my class of 26 very excited Grade 5 boys out there and had an incredible morning. Sarah had the students eating out of her hand...such an easy and friendly, yet firm manner. The other staff and volunteers were super. They do an amazing job!Highly, highly recommended it.
A true animal sanctuary that is run by enthusiastic and passionate conservationists. A great day out with the family
Its absolutely beautiful
Place is ok though has potential to improve
Great place l enjoyed it
The tour guide is very friendly and the place is too clean
Well worth a visit if you like animals. After being shown round by Colin, the most pleasant and knowledgeable head warden we sat in the shade using the provided tables to enjoy our own picnic. There is a lovely grassed area to be shared with giant tortoises, white parakeets and even the odd duiker (small antelope). Even a swimming pool to cool off.* No animal is turned away, there are over 50 dogs, cats, a lion, numerous birds and even a small dragon type reptile!A fantastic day out!
Entertaining and informative. Great staff and setting. Take a picnic and enjoy the atmosphere
A serene place with a taste of wildlife just less than 50km from CBD. Its the source of the roaring that echoes in the night around the area. Shungu the lion decorates the night with powerful roars that add the wild essence to the recreational places around the area.
Great place close to Harare, cool & serene.

Fantastic guides, knowledgeable and engaging. Brilliant learning for all ages.
This little piece of heaven situated only a half an hour drive out of Harare is not only a soul recharging place to visit but the work they do in animal welfare both for domestic and wild animals is inspiring. So much care for sick, injured and orphaned animals. Run by wonderful people who are so passionate about what they do!
Far away in Africa but it was an awesome place, love the animals in their care
