Scenic, shaded woodland area with a playground, wildlife viewing & walking paths.
Its still closed ..was a nice spot to let the kids stretch and have a snack Im the parking area
Its a beautiful Friday afternoon. My familys on a road trip to Texas, stopped and picked up lunch, then saw this park and thought it would be a nice place to take a break with our 3 kids, eat lunch, and stretch our legs but NOPE! The park is closed for no apparent reason. Im sure the residents of Lake Charles would be thrilled to know their tax dollars ate being spent on a park nobody can actually use!
Its a nice looking park. Sadly it was closed ☹
Nice park, but never open
Hardly any trees after the hurricanes. the trees made this place look amazing
Loved it! Should have gone earlier in the day but I was beautiful! Will definitely be back!❤️
Good luck trying to get in to this park. The hours posted both at the park and online are not accurate. I have tried to take my kid 4 times this year and every time there are chains on the fence. Google says open til 7. Its 5pm on a Wednesday, completely locked and shut down. Pretty sure theres a millage on my property tax that funds this parks operation so I expect it to be open reasonable hours. Is 7am to 9pm too much to ask?
Lovely trails. Well maintained. Will definitely return.
Beautiful scenery for people that love nature and nature trails! Picnic tables are perfect for the family and cute park for the kids... didnt see any dangerous animals out there if anyone is wondering lol but overall easy to follow your way back out 👌
This is a great park.. Cant wait to bring my grands down here to play
Really nice park. The refurbishment they did a few years back made this place very nice.
We used their really handy and convenient hammock station. It was lovely.
Thank you to my little angel Pippy for coming to pick mommy up and taking me and your little Cooper to the park. the fresh air and the beauty of the park is just what mommy needed .brings back all the memories of yalls childhood of all the parks we always went to including this one. Tiffanie Matteson ❤
A great park to bring the kiddos plenty of trails to stretch your legs clean restrooms
Perfect spot for an off the beaten path walk right in the middle of town. Once you are on a trail, the outside world melts away.Paths were clear enough for an off road stroller but the woods de se enough for my kids to feel adventurous
My family really enjoys the trails at this park. My children are young, and the trails are not very long, so it is perfect for our family.
Tuten Park is an amazing wildlife conservation area. Its a nice place to bring kids, and its an amazing place to view insects and plants. I would highly recommend checking it out. Also, so many fireflies after the sun goes down! Its just a shame that the park closes at 7.
Favorite park! just watch out for random men that just sit there and have no children! Get out of the park please if you have no kiddos!
Beautiful,peaceful to walk thru..but,no dogs allowed,so...
Get place to take the kids and have fun..the nature walk is place to take the kids so that they can see birds and rabbits and other nature life
Absolutely adore this park and everything that has been done to bring it back. Cant wait to return.
This a beautiful park. Great place for the kids and lots of shade.
Beautiful! Ive never visited for leisure, but I am completing part of my research project here. Great place for a nature hike or play time with the kids.
Nice little park for kids... There is alot of wooded area so keep all eyes on your kids... never know if anything wild may be in the woods.
I favor this park over Prien. There is a lot more shade and nature. The playground is nice too!
We visited this park after getting ice cream cones from the nearby Dairy Queen. The visit wasnt planned and I havent been to this park before. I recommend it for children and adults. It quite a relaxing park with plenty of shade. The restroom facility is well maintained. I dont do the park often but if you do I highly recommend this park.
Very clean and pushed back from the road so as to seem more secluded than you really are .
Great place to let the kids play for a bit.
Its a beautiful little park. Great place to walk around and let the kids play.
Beautiful park. It was very well preserved and taken care of. It felt like i was in the forest except theres benches and tables around. Very nice place. Will be back soon.
Went looking for the shady trails mentioned in earlier review. Whole rear of park/fenced in area was closed, despite park being officially open per posted hours. Lots of rule signs. The small part that was open was nice.
Looks like a nice little area but no animals allowed😔
This park is slowly changing for the better. It was once an extremely shady place (not the good kind of shady), but the city of Lake Charles has really cleaned up the park. There are plans to expand it and add more trails.
Awesome little park for kids. Theres swings and slides. Picnic tables in sunny and shady areas and benches to sit on. The bathroom was clean.
Different than the usual park equipment. Fun and lovely flowers
Nice walking trails and play area for kids. Huge wooded area is fenced off.
Bathroom is always trashed. Park looks like a neglected jungle. Cant walk the back of the park because its fenced off.
Love this park but wish the drainage issue could be solved. If it has rained in several weeks, most of the park will be swampy and full of mosquitoes. Also poison ivy AND oak EVERYWHERE!
Nice and clean place . Kids will love it.
Nice park with fun kids playset. Looks like other park items could use TLC.
Nice small Park. Most of it was closed seasonally.
Great for my tot and I to eat lunch, near enough to the highway and stores. Free, shady, bathrooms are clean and nice! Walking paths, lots of plants too. Great for learning and playing!
My grandchildren love it here!:I took all 3of my little girls here when they were little girls !:)
I love the natural feel and flow
Nice shady park with with playground for kids and plenty of seating.
Peaceful. Love the nature. Rabbits & squirrels running around. Nice place to have quiet time in the back of the park.
Very pretty park with lots of plants and wildlife to observe.
Tried to take my daughter to the park and there was little boys just peeing as if he was in a urinal and the parents doing nothing. The park is normally nice but today was an awful day to go because of some parents.
Beautiful, lots of shade, lovely local plants sponsored by the garden society, smoke-free, events for families, concrete path...just great!
Uh what is the point of this park? Its got paths to nowhere and gives the appearance they were trying to create a miniature arboretum but....whatever it just ISNT. Small play area to include a swing set. No smoking is great for you health nuts that want to pretend youre being gay in California.
