Tunupa Restaurant - Peruvian restaurant in Cusco, Peru
Horrible place. Went with a group.Got the reservation confused with another group. Told us it was prepaid then told us we needed to pay, Then blame us. A tourist trap. Show look fake. Book your dinner elsewhere
Nice location over the main plaza, especially if one gets a window seat. Food is alright but portions so so for the price. Not exactly a surprise considering the location, but one can find better value elsewhere.
Wonderful, the music was just amazing and the same could be said for the food.
The trout was so good and I was so Hungry!!! The chocolate tart was also so perfect dessert… 👋👍👍👍😎Also the Entertainment Folklorio Dancers and artistic band…!!!
We had awesome time. The music and dancers were great.
Good service and great food. Had a live band that was very entertaining!
Wow, we werent expecting a show but the winds, drums (played by a little boy!), and guitar were all excellent. Plus, we had dancers! The food was amazing. We had alpaca loin and a chicken dish. The pumpkin soup was delicious. We had a great time!
I thought that the Food and the attention was very bad and I dont recommend it. the only thing that saved the restaurant was the show. all the group was very disappointed
Terrible management experience today. We received our first order last, 5 dishes came 1.5 hours after we ordered them. 2 other tables received their order before us. When we talked to the manager, there was no apology, just that we should understand the kitchen was full and we had a large group. He took no responsibility on behalf of the establishment and instead blamed the waiter. We used to bring groups here pre-pandemic and always had an enjoyable experience, particularly the show, which was good as always. Sadly, we will not be bringing any more tour groups here again. All that was really needed was some spirit of customer service.
Really bad customer service, food came after une hour and a half, we were 20 people and we told them we are no going to pay for 2 dishes that came very late when everyone was leaving.
Amazing food and cultural experience. The performance was incredible!
Food was overpriced and cold. Meat was well done instead of the ordered medium. Toilets were very dirty. No recommendation!
I’ll definitely skip this place. Expensive and the food is definitely lacking. Expensive and not worth it. Skip it and try another place.
Great restaurant with interesting incan flavours and alpaca on the menu. Some fusion variations with Italian werr also had. Good selection of local and Argentinian wines, very friendly staff. The musicians that came and played were absolutely excellent and reslly put the vibe and atmosphere. Ordered as a group so no huge variety of plates tried. Would really recommend as a good culinary stepping to Cusco with great entertainment. Prices were decent.
Awesome show, service and food! Its a tourist attraction but highly recommended.
Live music with a andean instruments and energetic dance show. Fun to watch and participate.
Lovely food and staff, great entertainment
Bland food, dried out meat, slow food delivery, minimal service. Ok atmosphere.
Too touristic with a just ok food and atmosphere. Only really good thing its location which is literally on the main square.
Restaurant with live music and traditional dance. Atmosphere and food was great too, we were group of 22 and we had very nice time..we even dance. Congrats!!!!
The food was good. However the service was unbelievably slow. We ordered drinks and water, and never got any of it! Luckily we also didn’t pay for it. We were there for at least three hours (we went as a big group, and there were also other big groups there). The live show with music and dancing honestly saved the meal. Without that, I would’ve left after an hour.
Tunupa Restaurant in Cuszco. This is a buffet place with a lot of selections of food. We stopped here during our tour to the Inca ruins in Peru. The food is pretty good. The backyard garden is huge and beautiful with the Mountain View and the river. There were 2 alpacas on the backyard that look kind of friendly.
Cant appreciate Miguel enough!! He got us fabulous entrees. Really yummy passion fruit pisco sour cocktail. The butter that comes with their bread is the best in Cusco.
Fun evening with set menu...Nice food. Great view of the plaza. Superb music!Small over-billing issue was not handled well. Overall good!
Excellent service, great view over the main square Plaza des Armas, very good quality of lunch, if one only find the entrance...
WOW!! The food and service were excellent, and the music & dancers were incredible. Like, seriously professional stuff. Highly recommend this place for an authentic, fun experience & excellent food.
We bought the 5 course meal event from Get Your Guide app as suggested from other visitors. The 5 course meal was delicious and unique, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the music and dance are amazing!! We were entertained the entire time! The beef ribs dish was so tender and tasty we ate it in less than 5 mins! Chocolate cake and cheesecake were super delicious too, not too rich and amazing texture! Highly recommend getting the 5 course meal!! Its reasonably priced too!
Great place to eat, the dish I recommend is "pollo campesino". Good service 👍 I really like it
This Tunupa Restaurant usually for tourist group, they offer buffet, traditional performance.Food here is ok, service is good. Although seating inside can see the dance performance, but if you seat on the balcony, you can actually have a great view of the plaza
Great buffet and live dancing and music
Good food and price. Typical traditional live music.
This is a typical tourist resto. Lots of tour groups eat here. Long tables, live entertainment specific for the tourists. The prices are a bit high, but youre paying for the location and entertainment. The food was excellent, but if youre looking for a local spot, this isnt it.
Tourist buffet with musical entertainment 7pm-9pm.
We had a buffet dinner here - very good food (entries, mains and desserts), lots to choose from and very good ambience, with folk music and dance, while you enjoy your meal. Nice location of the restaurant, very easy to find.
Live music, great views, amazing chicken dish, and provided plain pasta with butter for my baby. Friendly, fast service as well. 10/10
Nice restaurant. Buffet style the night we visited. Something for everyone. There was a magician visiting the tables as well as a "killer" local band. The band was really good. Staff provided good service and kept the table clear without prompting. Lots of tourists, but the food quality and prices were surprisingly good.
Amazing view of plaza de armas and a great menu. Definitely ask for the balcony view while you take in the sights of the square. The food selection is great and at a very reasonable price.
Visited in March 2018. Unforgettable. Lovely show, excellent food variety, nice ambiance, had an overall great and delightful experience ! 😊 A must when visiting Cusco, close to Plaza de Armas. Looking forward to returning in the future.
Food was ok, nice view on the plaza.
Ate lunch here, and I had the dinner buffet with live music and dance. The food was great, and the performers were all quite amazing.
Great views from the balcony. The menu offers some traditional dishes , try the soups , guinea pig or anything else ...
Nice restaurant. Great for large groups (I brought a group of 45 students). Good lunch buffet, and the live music made for a great environment.
Food was pretty good for a mass buffet. Dinner comes with music and a dancing show. It is typical tourist fare. If you enjoy those experiences you will like this as well. Super convenient location on Plaza Mayor.
Food and service just ok. Lively music though
Excellent buffet. So many eye catching options!
Our travel agent gave us a buffet dinner here. We liked the place. The music and show on the mini stage was entertaining and gave us a taste of traditions and their culture and music. Food was ok, not bad but Could be better and more varied for the price. Perhaps the menu items out of the buffet are much better. Good place for big groups of people.
Food was ok, not up to the high standards of what weve had in Peru. Service was poor: they set out the buffet right after we ordered without letting us know about it. Soups are very good.
I visited the place on my trip to Peru for lunch on weekday. We ordered shrimp risotto and Peruvian chicken dish. The Peruvian chicken dish was amazing. It was cooked to perfection. The shrimp risotto was good too. The location and the ambience of place is excellent overlooking plaza de arms in the balcony. The place was empty yet the service was not very attentive. We had to summon the waiter to order or ask questions. Do visit if you are here.
I went with a group of 16 people and the long table given to us has one side of the chairs against the wall so its very hard to get in and out for the buffet. The food was cold even for the hot dishes. Taste was mediocre. They only have octopus ceviche which I don’t like and dont have fish ceviche. Performance was good.
Excellent service buffet of local foods very tasty. With a great show, song and dance.
