Tuncurry Lakes Resort - in Forster, Australia
Been coming up as a young fella and love the place. Great spot for families to relax and enjoy the surrounding areas.Plenty to do too if you want to hang around the resort. Just watch out for those kookaburras when your on the bbq, they are hungry and like to steal food
Pretty low key. Unit small for a 2 bedroom. Six occupants would be unbearable. Spacious grounds.
Disappointing about not being able to have fires but so many great amenities and get hire gear
Relaxing, clean, a beautiul spot. Would recommend to anyone. Camping this time but the Units are amazing ๐
This time the flood experience and torrential rain took over. HoweverPrevious times have been good times with family and friends. FishingWas popular and soccer played as wellAs tennis. Movies and bingo at the very nice recreation hall.My husband liked to camp in our caravan by the river - there is 4 weeksFor members in the unit and 17 daysIn the camping area. The well kept pool is very popular in summer. A great holiday place.Shirley Bower
Not your average beer garden. Fancy a beer but the kids want a swim? They have you covered, theres a pool. FYI the beer is good
Rude staff, they provided 3 sets of sheets and 5 towels for 6 people. No washing machine or dryer for the towels, rained the entire time so nothing to do. One toilet for 6 people. False advertising. Rooms are miles from the car park, hope you like the long walk, no undercover car park, they are parked in a field. Miles from anywhere, you must have a car as miles from civilisation. Charge 3.50 for each towel so BYO! This place is a disgrace. Do not stay here, the worse place that I have ever stayed. I will never return under any circumstances!!!!!
The staff especially are amazing & are so helpful & accommodating & the kids always have a great time with all the activities & things to do !!
Wow!!!! This place was AMAZING!!!!We spent a week in the powered camp ground and what a beautiful place!!There is so much FREE things for the kids to do, from the canoes and pedal boats to tennis and game rooms!!! They loved seeing in the pool and the lake aswell! The facilities are top notch and it has a private boat ramp for boats up to about 5 metres give out take. They have boats you can hire at the most reasonable price in Australia!!!! Options for licenced and unlicensed boaters!!!We will be back! We had an amazing week away and also met some new life long friends!
This a great spot to stay i would highly recommend staff are very kind, you can never get bored (there is always something to do), great for kids to have unlimited fun and great cabins.
This resort is the best we have ever been to for providing lots of fun activities for young kids.No vehicles to worry about, plenty of space and beautifully re-furbished units.
Loved it been there twice n kids enjoyed alot ..so many activities for kids to enjoy..
Awesome included facilities for families with kids : mini golf, tennis, arcade games, boat hire, paddle boards, canoes, golf driving range.
We had a great stay, weather was good and the whole place looked fabulous.
Good place for a break but the rooms are a lottle dated. Needs some rehab work done on the access road. Nice area though and we will most likely come back again sometime.
We love staying here rhe kids have an absolute blast & make lots of new friends
Relaxing, great for families and lots of activities for. Good access to the lake with boats available. Close to race course as well.
The worst experience. No parking near unit. No air con. Unit was hot and toxic.5 mins and set off an allergic reaction.. Didnt stayNo wonder everyone else was outsideNice grounds.
Friendly staff, & helpful. Room was very hot the fans had to go all the time. A/C will be a great improvement which is on process of being put in.
Really loved our stay here. Was one of our last destinations on our Honeymoon and enjoyed every minute. Loved the new Aircon rooms with dishwashers and was perfect and clean. This is a place where you always have something new and fun to do. A must stay!
Amazing place to take the kids for a break and not break the bank So much to do inside and out. Apartments have just been upgraded. Highly recommended for kids up to high school age. Interest reception is poor but maybe thatโs a good thing.
Nice place lots of places for kids to have fun good for families and not too far from town. It is an older style but very serviceable.
Fantastic place to get away and unwind. So many options for the kids to remain occupied. Would go there again.
This place has so much going for it. Its in a fantastic spot on the river, the cabins are in excellent condition and have everything you need, the facilities are plentiful and everything is well maintained. Highly recommended!
Old blood stained sofa mattress, with pubic hair on the mattress protector.Shower had mould above tiles, snot and hair on the tiles of shower itself.Stovetop had grime, cockroach in light fitting, and blankets smelt of sweat as if they hadnt been washed.A real shame because its in a great spot with lots of room for kids to run and play; the activies would have been a highlight.Staff were friendly...3 nights booked, only stayed the one night and left first thing in the morning.Cant say Ill be back.
It was & beautiful place to visit had been there many years back great for families & single or couples who enjoy some space in the outdoors good to walk around with some wildlife & able fish or has boat access also can camp would love to come back
Went here just for a visit as friends of mine were staying here. It is such a beautiful place and as your driving in it reminded me of Yogi Bear and Jellystone Park, it took me back to my childhood. ๐
These guys are fantastic! We were evacuated from here during the recent Tuncurry fires. Throughout all the confusion they kept us up to date and informed, and even helped evacuate when it came time. They even mailed me the items i left behind in the rush. Excellent place, highly recommend!
Basic style accomodation with lots of facilities for younger children. Comfortable Beds! Each unit has 2 rooms, fans only and no oven. Wifi is super slow and reception in the area is terrible. Be prepared to take a stock count if every item in your room as they require you to do this and signed for it on departure. We found this rather old fashioned. Our family enjoyed our stay but if you hire something make sure you insist on a receipt. We hired a cot and paid $7 cash on arrival then were accused of not paying it on departure because they had no banking records of it. With no receipt we had no proof and were forced to pay it again. It had left a bad taste in our mouth after a pleasant week. We are an honest family and being treated as if we imagined it or were lying made me question if weโll be back. That said our children loved the resort and all other staff were most welcoming and accomodating.Overall this place has a nice pool, play equipment, jumping pillow, bbqโs, mini golf and canoes all for free. Itโs mostly well maintained but does give off the feeling that itโs prime days are done. There is little to offer teenagers but there is a table tennis area and a common room.We canโt give it 5 stars because if our little hiccups but Iโm sure other people have no problems during their stays. If you have a family Iโd stay recommend it. Itโs time share accomodation only.
Such a great place. Excellent for families with small kids. Kind staff and well maintained facilities
Amazing place for families. So much to do. Water playground, canoes, boats, jumping pillow, tennis, bikes, mini putt putt and more ๐๐
Great place for the kids. parents can relax and let the kids run free.A few things need some tlc. But over all a great resort to kick back and enjoy
Family oriented time share. Has everthing to keep the family occupied on holiday. Camping area as well as two bed units.Surplus time for sale.
19 years and many more memories to make here. Absolutely beautiful staff. the amenities and grounds are just perfectThank you for making a wonderful family holiday every time
Great for kids and cheap full kitchen and no air conditioning easing booking during week booked out most weekends and school holidays
A great little holiday location. The staff are super friendly and always there to help. All the activities on offer are great; pools, tennis/basketball courts, jumping pillow, common room, swings. It is extremely family-friendly and a great place to go if you need a break from the busy city/work life.
The location is nice along the lake. Pretty decent activities to do and a newly renovated area for the campers. Pool is decent but does get
Married in to TLR 30 years ago. So many great family times here. Beautiful scenery and can just let the kids loose during the day. Looking forward to grandkids enjoying here before too long!
Receptionists are very friendly and helpful. We checked out today and we had forgotten our bottles of wines, 1 tiny bottle of kahlua, and cheese. We decided to go back and retrieve our bottles of wines and cheese. The receptionist took me to the cleaner on duty who cleaned our unit number 5. The cleaner handed me a bag containing of used sock ๐, kahlua and our almost empty red wine. After I inspected the bag I notice the unopened bottle of wine and cheese are missing. I enquire about the missing items and she said she had already thrown them out. ๐ . Why she didnt throw the used bottle of wine and the socks if she had truly thrown them out. My point is shes not an honest employee (cleaner ).I still highly recommend this place even though with our bad experience with the dishonest cleaner.
Excellent place for families, wonderful accommodation and amenities. Lots of things for children to do. The pool area is wonderful as is the lake for boating. Mini golf as well. Highly recommended. The only thins is bring lots of insect repellent and spray as the mosquitos are very active.
Pretty much makes you feel like you are in a retirement village. Has a decent pool and other amenities to enjoy like sports equipment, paddle boats and canoes. Keep away usless you want to die of boredom and insect bites from inside and outside the rooms.
This place is wonderful. The managers are very friendly and this site is humongous, like 16 hectares or something. It has its own private Lagoon with boats that you can hire and canoes and paddle boats. It has a jumping pillow with shade many BBQ areas and heaps of grass space. There is a small caravan park within the grounds catering for two dozen or so caravans at one time. Amenities here are old but in good working order and clean. There are many many units available that are self contained with bunks etc. There is a mini putt putt on site and also a 3 or 4 hole golf course which is great fun. The lagoon has access to the river system which goes all the way to the bridge allowing for Sundays spent on the sand of nearby Islands. Tuncurry Lakeside Village is very cheap I believe and well worth a visit. Its a timeshare so getting in at Peak periods such as Christmas holidays might be a bit of a difficult task. Definitely one of the best caravan parks in the area and indeed I have ever visited the cave is almost exclusively for families. I should also mention the pill there is fantastic with a significant upgrade of the childrens swimming pool including playground within the pill itself. Amenities are fantastic and there is a large building or common room as you would call it. Definitely worth a visit you will not be disappointed
Ive been coming here for over 10 years. Its the best family getaway I have ever stayed in. It perfect for a young family especially with children under 12. The units are fully self-contained with two bedrooms and a fold out in the lounge area. Only a 5 minute drive to beaches, shops and local access to the river and fishing. As my family has approached teen years it has been more difficult to keep the kids amused as facilities for this age are limited.I would recommend a week or more stay and with the amount of on-site family activities adults can relax and rest without ever leaving the resort.
Nice place for young kids. Plenty of activities. Felt safe to let the kids walk around by themselves as there is no car access to where the kids activityโs are.
Digusted as we were NOT informed of about six big family groups coming on this weekend (all know each otherand are now surrounded with massive noise but no available contact with resort managers on weekend! Could have chosen many other caravan parks instead!!
Amazing place. I have been going here since i was a young child. I now take my children here and they love it. I love that once you habe unpacked you dont need to go anywhere. Lots of activities for everyone
Have been a share holder for 32 years. Our grownup children, now bring our grandchildren, who call it "Funcurry"! Tuncurry Lakes Resort is a safe, family oriented resort, which offers so much to do without having to pay extra dollars. The staff are very professional, friendly and accommodating! I have never seen the grounds look better!
We had 2 bookings for campsites there and unfortunately had to cancel. We paid the deposit with one credit card and didnt have the choice to book campsites under the same name so we were charged $50 for each booking losing out on $100 with no service provided.we cancelled 3 weeks out so gave plenty of warning. I would have expected to pay a $50 cancellation fee but $100 is robbery. I dont know how this can be justified.
Been going since I was a little girl. I love it even more now with the new owners and the upgraded cabins. Perfect spot and so relaxing. Always look forward to packing the car and heading here. Thank you
Beautiful spot, great for families and the kids. Safe boat lake with paddle boats, canoes, etc. , pool with water park, amenities Tourist cabins and camping area. Highly recommend it.
