Tumbleweeds - Mexican restaurant in Richland, United States
This was my first time trying Tumbleweeds. And may I say, they were super quick and extremely friendly. My lunch came out fresh out of the fryer which I loved. Got some cheesy bean burritos that they had for a deal. They have amazing tasteful salsas that were so good! My preferred salsa was the red one but everyone had their taste. This is a small business that is slowly getting popular and thriving. Their menu selection is also good! But you can never go wrong with the burritos.
Grilled steak burrito and taco salad are god-tier!
soft taco was cold, Cheese wasnt even melted. Honestly Ive never had food this bad before. Tasteless and all. Ive read reviews. I thought it would have been much better.
So sad to be writing this!I’ve been going here for 10 years, this was my go to place. I’d often have the pleasure of chatting with Keith if he was working while I came through to order lunch. I talked this place up so much to my husband who had never been, and we went tonight (hadn’t been in almost a year because I’ve been working from homeand it was just not the same. Prices are up, understandable. But he ordered a beef soft taco, which I know used to be huge, and it was 75% lettuce, barely any meat. I kept looking at him after his first few bites to see if he was like “dang that’s good food!” But he looked at me and said I make better food at home! 😔 I always order the soft bean burritos and those too were smaller than usual and tasted so different, bland. Man I’m so sad, I’ve seen so many places lose their quality because of the economy but I’m truly sad to see that Timbleweeds has not only raised their prices but compromised on their food. Hope they can go back to the way they used to be.
Every time we get food here we get something different, it all tastes super fresh and never disappoints!
Been a patron for 30 years. Always yummy foids
Kimmy is so informative and just a sweet person! Give her a raise!!
I love this place!! Been a staple in Richland for many years and the good food and wonderful employees and owner are the reason!!! Love the occasional breakfasts!
Food is exceptionally fresh and delicious. And the staff are always always so kind and friendly. I appreciate that.
Food is always fast and fresh. Employees are always courteous and helpful.
This is the first time I have eaten here but I was full after eating just one soft taco. This food has a wonderful flavor! Oh God such a wonderful flavor definitely so much better then taco bell or taco time. I will be eating here again!Oh goodness 2nd visit to eat tried something new the nachos and I couldnt even finish there was so much. So much food for a very reasonable price. So so very good!!!!!!Update I keep trying something different and havent yet been disappointed on flavor or amount of food. Oh ya so good
Gf and I went in, I got the smothered burrito with chips and salsa. Burrito was okay, definitely a $7 at most burrito not the $10 I paid. Would be nice to see the chips be served warm but the salsa was good, So was the green sauce. Gf ordered a beef crispito and tots, tots was really good so was the ranch. Was decent and seeing the reviews I thought it would be a good stop for lunch. Just a bit to steep in price for what you get, friendly staff was nice to see.
Ive been in the tricities for over 5yrs and never had I been here. Food is delicious and the customer service is AMAZING!!
I love this place I stopped in to get change cuz I was participating in a basketball event down the street and I needed money for it the food smelled amazing and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful cant wait to go back and actually eat but I did see them cooking the food for other people and it looked amazing.
They recently changed there sizes. Taco salads are, at best, half the size that they were yet they still charge $11. It still tastes great but with cost vs quantity I wont return.
Grilled steak burrito is godly. Price is a bit steep though.
Update, if you have not tried the take and bake enchiladas you need to try it. Its so good! Its easy to bake and taste so good. I have never ate here but after joining their Facebook group and all the things they do for everybody I had to give it a try. They have taco Tuesday with tacos our half price. so when you see the price of the taco dont be shocked these tacos are humongous. No like a meal by itself you dont need two tacos and fries with it wherever else you want to add on let me tell you the soft taco is enough. Let me give you a good helping of salsa. Now remember I have never ate here so I did not know the taco so huge. Now I have dinner. Or even lunch the next day. Im going to recommend everybody eat here once. The picture I posted is a huge taco looks like a burrito but its a taco.
Fast and friendly service. My taco salad was AMAZING
First time visiting, I had a little time so I went in.Great people and great food! I had the smothered burrito, and got a salad to go. Didn’t have to wait long, and it was freshly made. Will definitely be back!
Great food. Great service. Wonderful, community minded owner.
Fresh And Delicious!!! I Always go when specials are happening!!! Love Love Tumbleweeds, Good Community guy too, feels good supporting businesses like this one!!!❤️
Best Taco salads and the crispy steak burritos are addicting. We go there a few times a month and have never had a bad meal. We use the app pass the phone around so everyone can order what they want and customize it if needed. We drive from Kennewick to get Tumble Weeds just because we like it more then any other fast food Mexican restaurants around.
Best taco salad and deep fried beef burritos EVER!. Went there today on my lunch break to help celebrate their 22 years in business. I work in Pasco and can get Mexican food every where, but I chose to drive to Richland for theirs. My only complaint is they dont have a restaurant in Kennewick or Pasco.
Great Food, Good Prices, Awesome Employees!! The owner does a LOT of good in our community Locally and always ready to lend an extra hand or...
Love love love their food and friendly staff,I love Tumbleweeds! its comfort foods, its delicious, and the owner and crew are incredibly generous to the community, both as a whole and helping other small businesses when they can.Id recommend the chicken taco salad, or the nachos, or the crisp beef burrito... Everything is made from scratch with passion. Even their chips have a from-scratch seasoning!
Not only do they offer great food, but Tumbleweeds happens to have one of the best small business owners in the Tri-Cities. I purchased a take and bake this past weekend on the app, and when I went to pick it up a couple hours later, they had accidentally run out (they were limited edition and on sale). Not only did Keith come to the window himself to apologize, but he bent over backwards to make it right. He refunded the $, gave me a different take and bake (which was yummy!), and a Pepsi. That alone made everything better than okay. I was completely surprised when I received a phone call from him on the next business day telling me he had made me another one, and he refused to take any money for it. This wasnt a normal menu item, so it meant he really had to go above and beyond to make it. He truly exemplifies outstanding customer service!
Oh wow. So some lady at the library enthusiastically declared that today was the 22nd anniversary and the food was so delicious, the librarian enthusiastically concurred. I went to check them out.I ordered the nachos, no meat. The line quickly formed out the door and the drive thru was busy as well. I knew it was problematic at soon as I saw all of the young white people behind the counter. My order was up. Look, Im not saying it was inedible. But its something I would have thrown together as a 16 year old for an after school snack. I ate it, but remain mystified as to why it was bumpin in there and why the people at the library were so excited about it...and lastly how theyve remained in business for 22 years with Pasco just a stones throw away.I dont usually bother to write reviews that are less than 5 stars, but my bewilderment in the palates of so many has forced my hand!
Always an excellent experience here with tasty food and friendly service. Thank you!
I loved the Veggie Burrito, the Grilled Steak Burrito, and the Mexi-fries. Im looking to visit again soon
Food was amazing, as always! Friendly staff and a great place to eat! Definitely recommend! 💯
Had a great experience! The guy running the drive thru was very nice. I enjoyed chatting while I waited for my food.
Not very good. Taco Bell is better. Prices weren’t great either. You can get quality authentic Mexican food or even better American Mexican food for a similar or better price and the food is better.
If I could give NO stars I would. We went here after hearing a ton of hype from multiple friends! The inside was dirty and the food was horrible! The only good thing going for this is that the people are super friendly! But just cause they are nice doesnt mean the food is good! Sooo disappointed!!!
Good fried mexican food. Overpriced for fast food but doesnt stop us coming in once a year.
The owner was on his way to a break and seen us and stopped to take our order. Very friendly. And the burritos were REALLY good!
People who knock the food must think this is supposed to be a fine dining establishment. Its a fast food place, but even with that I think their food is very good. Much better, in my opinion, than Taco Bell or Taco Time. My wife and I like to order online and our order is always ready to go when I get there. Employees are almost always friendly. My only real complaint is that my wife likes to order extra guacamole on her Taco Salad and two times in a row now there has not only been no extra, but none at all. Another time our order was missing a crisp Taco. Now I check to make sure we got all of our food. Next time Ill be sure to check for the Guacamole. Editing this to five stars because you folks have been spot on the last few times weve ordered. Good job!!!
I love their taco salads, and burritos. The restaurant is a good, affordable place to eat. They have ample parking. The owner is a good person, and contributes to our community. So if you are in Richland I would recommend! The owner is always trying new products on the menu.
Best Tater Tots in Tri Cities and my husband loves the crispy chicken burritos. The food is fast but this is NOT fast food in any way since they prepare everything from scratch!Small business owners work hard with very little time off and these guys still find time to reach out and do SO much good for our community! They deserve nothing but love!
I did not order the food after they told me the price at the pickup window. Taco Tuesday 🌮 half price day. For 6 soft tacos 🌮 and 2 salads $62.50. I declined my order. My neighbor bought his food. The next day, he said that he could still taste it in his mouth. $62.50 at half price is even high. On a normal day that would have been $125. Not happening.
I typically order online to Tumbleweeds. We like it so much ch better than Taco Time. However, tonite I placed our order online as usual (5 tacos, soft combo burrito, order of nachos and a smothered burrito wi NO SOUR CREAM. Imagine my shock when my husband went to take a bite and found sour cream! He ended up eating something else. Not sure if I can trust folks to make something as ordered now!!
I was not a fan😔The kids were really hyping this place up saying how great it was. . but the food was really basic and the 5 wet burritos we got were cold or room temp at best. We spent over $50 and it was so not worth the $$. Wendys 4 for $4 would have been a much better choice that night. The staff was friendly, the menu is geared more towards kids as it looks like a kids menue. And they misspelled "flour tortillas" on the menu with "Four Tortillas" twice.
Excellent over the top customer service. You can tell the owner cares and loves his job. Beef crisp burrito was perfect.
Love this place. Food is great, very consistent quality and the employees are super nice. Worth spending more money on dinner just to support a good local business.
We went through the drive thru only to discover later that we had been shorted an item. I spoke with the owner and he went above and beyond. We already enjoyed going to Tumbleweeds and eating their wonderful food. This experience just made it better. Thank you Tumbleweeds!!
Todays special was the pork taco slider poutine. It was an awesome change up! My die hard go-to comfort food is chicken totchos. Always great food and easy customer service. Whether theyre slammed or not they will take care of you with patience. We really liked the poutine
Tried the pulled pork sliders, one chicken soft taco, one pork soft taco. Good food. Nothing fancy. Good quality and great service. Will definitely be back to try something else.
Lots of people have said we should go here, but I wasnt overly impressed. The food is good, but nothing special. The crispy burritos are basically slightly improved gas station fare. Not worth the over $20 we spent.
My family shared their take and bake enchilada platter last night and it was great. The ingredients are real, and the workers really care about quality.10,000% better than the reheated slop from taco bell.Lets help keep this place in business!Support local businesses!!
This is a really good place. Their food is pretty much the same fare as Taco Time but some little changes make it unique. The people who run it are nice and they exhibit fantastic customer service. Just today I got the wrong burrito and I called them and they replaced it with no questions asked. They do fast food the right way. That’s why I go back. The soft beef burrito is amazing and the green sauce is perfect. Their tots are awesome to. I really like this place.
Veggie burrito $6.5Tater tots $4.5Jalapeño $0.50Staff was friendly and helpful. The ambiance was inviting and tables clean. Every thing tasted good. Tater tots can’t go wrong. Veggie burrito good but seemed really lite. I was surprised how expensive this place was for what you get. For $12.00 at a Mexican joint I expect to be taking food home, not leaving hungry. I wouldn’t recommend based on perceived value. If I had got the same meal for $8 this would be a different review.
