Tubac Center of the Arts in Nogales
Description
Privilege
Wonderful Members Art Show. Great gift shop too. Must see when in Tubac.
This is a cute little town and worth the drive down from Tucson for the afternoon. The Center for the Arts takes about 30-45 minutes to tour and has rotating artwork, some for sale. Pleasant enough as you are greeted once you arrive, I dont need the volunteer following me around the art displays then through the gift shop This place is couple rooms- they can see from the front door. The on-site library looks interesting but with the hawk like volunteers we were afraid to touch anything.
MoreSuzanne is very professional and knowledgeable about the Tubac Centet of the Arts!
MoreGreat selection of artwork for display and for sale. Helpful and friendly staff.
Fabulous!!! Need I say more?
We walked into the Center and were cheerfully greeted by the person at the reception desk - who was awesome. She told us what we could expect in the Center and a little about the highlights. We thought the special exhibit of 6 - 8th graders was amazing. In the regular collection we were captivated by the painting, “If Van Gogh Was a Cowboy.”. We will definitely return to the Tubac Center of the Arts on our next trip to Tubac.
MoreLove this place. Lots of unusual items at good prices. Its like stepping into a little Mexican town
MoreVery relaxing, powerful art and Simon is wonderful.
If you have a very short time to be in Tubac, stop here because youll see a little bit of everything. Be warned, it likely will encourage you to spend much more time in this arts oriented community

Its a very special place it looks like 1920 its wonderful its wonderful and the art show was spectacular
MoreTubac lives up to its reputation as an artist-friendly town, from the Tubac Center of the Arts to the annual fine-arts festival, which draws up to 70,000 visitors. The town has easy access from the highway and is an inviting place to amble around galleries, restaurants, a wine garden, and many vendors.
MoreWent with my cousin and I loved it or should I say we loved it went to a place to eat and I cant remember what it was but it was a Mexican food place and it was Solis I think something like that food was good waitress was absolutely horrible only came once never refilled our water never refilled if we wanted Coke never ever came to our table not even to give us a check to leave absolutely horrible would not go there again
MoreLove this wonderful charming art town. Plenty to shop for, gotta search for some good deals.Make sure to go during the art festival in February!
MoreGreat area with many great stores and very friendly people. Eat-drink and shop to your hearts content.
MoreFor its size it has a pretty interesting and eclectic mix of paintings and other types of art pieces. It has a library stacked with art history books too
MoreIt seems as if it wasnt as busy, as crowded, nor as well stocked as it has been in the past. This may be Covid related. Some of the art was incredible. Just not as much of it as before.
MoreA must visit center when in Tubac..Various artists work on display & many are for public sale..👍
MoreAlot of shops are closed on Mondays but the ones we went in were very cool. Alot of unique items. Only one shop owner was very snoody all the rest were super friendly and helpful.
MoreSuch a cute quaint place. The shops are very cute. Im coming back to do the hikes.

MoreReally enjoyed this past monthss high school art from the area! I would like to know more about each burgeoning artist, especially artist with charcoal work of Christ looking over three crosses!👍
MoreIf you have a chance to visit Tubac, you should go, especially for their art festival in February. The festival fills all the commercial streets of the town with artists booths and the artists are incredible. Its a beautiful place and the local people are wonderful. This year I had the opportunity to meet several of the instructors for art classes. Very impressed and looking forward to learning new skills in my drawing. I will be heading back for a multi day art workshop. Cant wait!
MoreMost of the restaurants are shut down on Mondays. And the ones that were open they were quite busy.
MoreGreat way to spend a few hours. Unique shops with metal sculptures, brightly-colored pottery, mesquite furniture and chachkies. Theres a public restroom as well.
MoreA true wonder! So many amazing exhibits. Went for the Masking Tape Mural project which was so fun and inspirational, but fell in love with the entire gallery.
MoreLoved it! Beautiful pottery, outstanding art galleries and exquisite copper jewelry. We had a wonderful time.
MoreThe Art Center is always fantastic. Today they had a print making display. There were many wood cut prints. There was a stunning painting that looks like the night sky. The show will be there tomorrow. Go see it! Great art in the gift shop as well!
MoreWonderful shops to browse beautiful crafts, pottery, clothes and jewelry. Some shops have reasonable prices, so anyone on any budget can find a treasure.
MoreBeautiful day. Nice casual walk around. Sat out side enjoying a solo singer and his guitar. Nice voice.
MoreIn the heart of Tubac. A must stop and see, it is a gallery that has a museum feel. The local art community is alive and well.
MoreOpen during COVIDAmazing artwork and fantastic gift shop. Just an hour south of Tucson.
MoreBeautiful rotating exhibits of local and nationally known artists.
I really enjoyed all the beautiful artwork and all the people were very kind, and helpful. I will definitely be coming back for another visit
MoreGreat artists. Easy to walk and see all different types of art. Dog friendly as well. Have to go to the neer garden for a beer. Beer is reasonably priced at $4.00. Live music with beer garden.
MoreNice large gallery rooms featuring art. Has a small stage for small shows.
Beautiful arts district and quirky shops. Fun place to spend a fall day in southern Arizona!
MoreAwesome gallery. We bought a painting for our home, reasonably priced too. Veronica was such great help and friendly to boot. Lovely experience.
MoreWhat a cool place!! Places to eat, galarys, cool ceramic pots, wall decorations, clothes, jewelry, you name it....to do it justice, should take 2 days to do it!!
MoreSet very well, good verity in venders, may I suggest you set more of the hay bales so they are sitting on thier higher side! Much easier for old stuff knees to get up from & thank you for providing soooo many more!!!
MoreGreat place to spend half a day just wandering. If you get hungry, go a few miles dow the road to Wisdom Cafe😉
MorePlan to spend several hours here. Many wonderful stores with an eclectic mix of art and crafts. Some shops expensive and classy, others whimsical and fun. All have lots to look at. Many will give you a discount if you ask. We went back 3 times. Metal art and pottery from Mexico plus lots of jewelry and clothing.
MoreSummer art camp for the kids was a great experience for them
I would classify this as a craft show more than an art show. A large variety of jewelry, soaps, lotions, purses, etc. And a few paintings, sculptures, and other creative arts. Very well organized parking crew, friendly people and casual atmosphere. Since I am from Washington state, I crave a coffee stand at every corner. We found two coffee places with a huge line. There was a charge of $8 for parking which was not mentioned in any of the promotional material that I recall. Overall, a pleasant morning spent rambling.
MoreThis little gallery in the small arts town of Tubac is absolutely wonderful. Such a range from Contemporary to Western, realism and abstract. Theyre also really nice!
MoreWhether you may be interested in learning how to create art or would like to see local artists work, the Tubac Center of the Arts hosts many exhibitions throughout the year and also hosts classes to anyone who is of interest in picking up a new hobby!
