Tsuki - Japanese restaurant in As Salt, Jordan
Great food selection, good quality and top hospitality. A special thank you to Phevie for being a fantastic host! Totally going back next time we are in Amman.
Before going and based on reviews I was expecting a lot, but my expectations were more than blown out of the water.. My wife and I went there with another couple. I had made the reservation way ahead of time as I wanted the Japanese table at which we sit on the ground. The table was confirmed to me a few days before going and when we arrived it was nice to go through the protocol of taking off your shoe and wearing a slipper to sit at that table.. We ordered Miso soup, papaya salad, Thai beef salad to start, we then had octopus, a mix of sushi and Vietnamese spring rolls as entrées and black pepper beef, beef rendang, shrimp noodles and lobster laksa as main.... The smell of each plate was amazing let alone the taste, the sushi was the best I had (ever), the salads were a great palate exciter, the beef randang and black pepper beef were Sowell cooked and flavorful that it hurt when we finished them, all in all, the food was flavorful to the max, presentation was impeccable and the colors were vibrant and fresh. We ate with a passion and a fear that it will soon end... This was the third time and most likely the best food I had in Amman... We finished with mochis and yuzu cheesecake which were heavenly and Jasmin tea that was the perfect closure. Make sure you have the Accor app or ask for it as you get a good discount. I not only recommend it but strongly do so.
Excellent business lunch - super fresh & tasty.
The Sushi was not the best :/ if you want to eat Sushi i would recommend going to another place . But the service is good and the atmosphere is nice .
Excellent food and service....the staff are amazing and food is so tasty ... Would recommend visiting if youre in Amman
Fabulous Pan-Asian restaurant in Amman!Of all the 5* hotels in Amman, the Fairmont has proven it has the best restaurants and Tsuki is no exception. The Pan-Asian cuisine is truly outstanding - delectable!I have been to Tsuki several times and on this last occasion I was determined to meet the chef, Manar. Both the flavor and the presentation make Tsuki rise far above its competitors in Amman.Several dishes I would recommend are the Dynamite prawns (whole, not pieces like some restaurants), Kani salad, octopus, beef rendang, black pepper beef, grilled lamb chops, and the divine miso slamon (melts in your mouth). For dessert, I recommend the mango with sticky rice or the fried banana with ice cream. The portions are reasonable and not overwhelming. The prices are high but that is expected for the quality of ingredients and the cooking. This remarkable restaurant is fine but not fussy. I noticed the clientele is not just Fairmont guests but includes locals (50/50which is a good sign.A restaurant cannot survive on the reputation of its cuisine alone. From the manager to the servers to the chefs and the amazing chef, Manar - all treated you like you were the only guests in Tsuki making for a very memorable and delicious experience.I will definitely keep coming back!
expensive but good, the cinnamon banana ice cream is great, and the barbecue lamb is tasty and without smell, sushi is good too
Its the best Asian cousin in Jordan..Elegant, fancy and romantic
Food made to perfection, our new fav place, staff are great
Amazing staff delicious food beautiful atmosphere
Nice food, good staff, the only issue could be that we were the only 7 people on that table, and the restaurant was empty, maybe that is why the service was excellent, I liked my grilled fish, and the tum yam soup, I think that was the name, they have oriental food, sushi was very good, nothing we ordered and was not delicious, we had good time with good people that we met for the first time
Nice and tasty japanese restaurant within Fairmont hotel in Amman
Fusion Asian with happy attentive staff
Excellent menu.
Tried the Valentine’s Day set menu. Not good whatsoever. Even the wagyu was hard and far too chewy. People said it’s better on a normal day, so I might try it again, but their Valentine’s Day menu was a disaster in terms of flavour.Update:Visited Tsuki in October 2021. The sushi was fresh and the sashimi was the best I’ve had in Jordan. Their normal menu is much better.
Amazing service, great and fresh food, incredible design. Overall perfect experience.
Professional and authentic Japanese food, interior, lighting and music is perfect the staff is so nice and polite, in terms of food this restaurant wins specially with the sweet and sour prawns dish , the rice i tasted here was unarguably the best rice iv’e ever had, highly recommended
Lovely, small and cosy place especially in the evening. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. Had a pleasant experience and will definitely visit again.
One of the best sushi restaurants in Amman, they have nice view.. Helpful stuff.
Nice interior. Good service. Awful Sushi way too salty with the same sauce.
Wonderful early dinner, that almost felt like a private event.Tsuki is back in business. Great taste and presentation. All our dishes were excellent. Staff was always attentive. Definitely coming back.
Good food good service excellent atmosphere
Hands down the best sushi and japanese dishes in Amman. They treated me and my party impeccably on my 40th birthday, with incredible attention to detail and organizing the whole order ahead of time, so that it just felt like a parade of delicious foods kept arriving along with the great wine and ambiance. Nael coordinated everything with me over WhatsApp, and even though he was not working that evening had it all prepared beautifully for us. They handled my special requests like I was a queen for the day - and also made me a whole scrumptious chocolate mousse cake on the house : It really felt like a magical, special evening for all of us.
I like the concept, food and drinks
An awesome place. Recommended and not very expensive.
Nice food..taste ..service
As of March 2019, no other star can not be given based on my experience.
Tastes really good.
Not recommendable Japanese restaurant in Amman. Fairy good Japanese foods were served, but selected menu only, at the beginning of a Japanese chef arrival last November 2018, So we tried once at that time. Then we, we were four including a guest from Baghdad, went there in March 2019, however, we disappointed almost all foods, because of that it seems no management in the taste unfortunately except a few foods even a Japanese chef was there. e.g. Japanese noodle menu was no taste, sushi set was also no taste and wrong defrost way, etc. It will not be able to go there again especially with our guests.
Tried to pass off regular tuna as toro ,for the equivalent $36, for 3 slices of sashimi.
Simply the best!As a not big fan of sushi, it completely changed my perspective! The experience was perfectly luxurious!I recommended!
Best sea food 🍲 in Jordan and the service is fabulous.
This is “the only” authentic Japanese restaurant with a wonderful Japanese chef in charge. Not so pricy honestly in my opinion, Highly recommended. But it seems the Japanese chef left, and that means it’s not authentic anymore without his presence unfortunately.
As always, the Fairmont nails the atmosphere. The sushi buffet was quality. Our friend loved his teriyaki beef. Id definitely go back.
Very good Japanese food!
Absolutely my favorite place in Amman! Unagi don is my top order as always. Tempura soup is amazing. The chief is Japanese. Really authentic cooking!
Im a Japanese, and I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Tsuki as the best Japanese restaurant in town. This is the only Japanese restaurant in Jordan with a Japanese chef and provide great sushi and other types of Japanese cuisine. He knows very well about how to make delicious sushi using fish available in Amman. In addition, I love the staff who are welcoming and provide great services and hospitalities. The decoration and atmosphere of this restaurant are also excellent with the mix of modern and authentic Japanese tastes.
Very good. Little expensive but good service
It is such a nice restaurant ❤️
Holy cow it was bad the rice was so dry and the collection was pretty poor even the Kani salad was soggy and the breadcrumbs were soggy and watery I am so upset but you get water to wash it off and seems like dessert
Great design! However the worst food experience ever! SO NOT FRESH! Well to sum it up; I DON’T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE!
Your average sushi place; was expecting a better experience.
An average sushi place..we went and tried the all you can eat sushi night. Ill start with the service.**The service was extremely slow from ordering to receiving the food to finding someone to get us the receipt.**Knowledge: there was one waiter when asked about the menu item he stated that he doesnt really know what goes into makisThe food: the food in general tasted cheap some makis had a very strong taste and smell all four of us agreed that this item was terrible .**Desert : the creme brulee was exceptionally bad .. it tasted like it was rotten 😂 as for the banana ice it was good.**Reservation: the reservation and handling of it was easy and professional.Atmosphere: the atmosphere is nice had a decent view. chairs are comfortable, lights were a bit dark.**Overall conclusion: we had high expectations of this place since its located in a five star hotel. But you pay for a 5 star service and in reality you receive 2 star service and food quality.**Recommendation: we do not recommend this resturant. Save your money and pick another spot.Review by rami
The foot was gold and or look à amazing but it was alittle expenansave
I first rated this place as five stars based on the beautiful ambiance, the overall look and feel, the presentation of food and the professional look of the staff. I then changed to three stars as I had many things I didnt like. First, the menu is all seafood, I ended up with nothing to eat not even a salad! Therefore Im not rating the food, which I can say was amazing since the group I was with loved it. Though the portions where so small. The overall service was great, the way they served the food and The was they attended to the table since we were a very big group, but I personally was disappointed with the service, as for three times I asked for things and they didnt even bother to get me.. or get back to me with an apology. The place is so quiet, so if you are looking for a quiet sushi night out its your place. The dessert was very disappointing. Not much options .
Amazing place .. very good food and the service is excellent.. very welcoming staff
Actually its one of the best Japanese cuisine located in amman , sushi sashimi and the robata all is amazing
Had a chance to eat at Tsuki tonight. What a wonderful meal. Everything was super fresh, tasty, prepared professionally and enjoyable. Chef Willy was excellent, as were his colleagues. Nothing was less than excellent. Will go back again and again. If you are looking for sushi in Amman, this is the place. Prepare to wait for a table, sushi bar is excellent. But WORTH the wait. Enjoy.
This is a very busy but very smart restaurant and the food was absolutely perfect and everything was served in a very timely manner. Service was quite attentive and the table spacing was as one should expect in a top restaurant , space to eat breath chat and enjoy without encountering anyone eases chair or body. All in all to be recommended with good expectation
Weasley go to after performances or something and everytime I go there , the service and food is as good as always on good days you only have to wait 15 to 20 minutes for a seat. The sushi is premium quality.
