Brilliant place for a peaceful lunch

One of the best shows Ive ever been to even more so as I turned up in an American classic car. I was on a trip organised by Tui Marella cruises with a group of others from the ship. We waited patiently in a queue inside the club, it had just gone dark and it was hot and humid. I was getting excited after passing through the entrance with photos of passed shows and costumes from routines. We entered an open air paradise with seating on long tables branching out from the stage like cartwheel spindles so everyone could see the stage. The costumes, the dancers, the music was exceptional and the amount of performers on stage was staggering, Ive never seen anything like it! We drank Havana Club rum and watched in awe at the performance, high energy, and very professional. An explosion of colour passed by with men and women smiling and enjoying their art. From Samba to Opera. A truly wonderful experience.If youre ever in Havana, Cuba this is definitely a must. 10 out of 10.

Good show and nice live orchestra. This may seem like a given, but men MUST be wearing long pants. Dress according to the price!

Rained. Zero communication. Then rained again after trying to get it dried out. Still zero communication whether the show would go on. Ended up standing in a line for around 2 hours to get our money back, and was fairly obvious they were taking as long as possible to give it back to see if they could get the show on or just hope people left without refund.

A little pricey and a little long. I went here only cause when in Rome. I felt like a lot of the dance numbers were fairly similar.

Number one attraction in Havana. Beautiful costumes, excellent dancers and choreography.

Show is pretty, a little repetitive but still good. The best is the venue, it is like a open garden, servers were kind. Food and drinks were absolutely terrible. But it was entertaining.

Not worth a visit, first of all they are not accurate at starting the show nor they care about the time , there was a delay for almost 43 minutes with no apologies to the audience. Second the chairs are really not comfortable at all , just imagine spending nearly 2 hours in an old Woden chair with small cushion . Third thing the quality of food is low class , the snacks are a mixture of some old peanuts and raisins with expired date chocolate, you can smell the mixture of peanuts and raisins and you will tell that it is not eatable at all , fourth if you tried to exchange the wine with some water you will be charged for the water 😳. Fifth point that the show is really full of spectacular actors BUT the clothes, shoes and accessories are all old and in bad condition.i really have more points to be mentioned but I think these point are enough to reconsider going there .

Fantastic show in such an iconic location.The part of the performance that was most entertaining for us was the acrobatic bit.But the part I found most amazing is that for a mere $5, I got a photo pass and was able to shoot from wherever I wanted - I was literally able to get up close and personal. So if youre into shooting shows, this was an absolute and unexpected perk.If youre planning on attending, make sure youre rested up and dont do a full day of touring before going as the show goes late. We bought a package that started from our resort that carted us around Havana for the day and then to the show at night. So by the time the show started we were up and going for 15 hours and found that we didnt appreciate the impressive of the performance as we were pretty tired at that point.Aside from that...WOW!!!

Decent outdoor show with excellent performers. I found the ticket prices to be quite expensive already so imagine my surprise that before entering the cabaret there is yet another cash grab for the privilege to take photos or videos.Ticket for two included a cigar (for men only), one glass of sparking wine each (welcome drink), one small bottle of Havana club rum, two cans of tukola to share, and some roasted peanuts.

Loved the extravagance of this show! The dancers, singers, and costumes were all outstanding! Pro-tip #1: it’s worth it to pay a bit more to sit closer to the action! All the dancers were amazing to watch, so seeing them up close was a treat! Pro-tip #2: when buying a ticket, it’s says “Quarter bottle of rum,” it really is a bottle of rum split between the 4 people at the table. Would absolutely go back again when in town!!

I came here in February. It was a lovely show, very energetic and bright and colourful! So many things to look at. The dancers were great and the acrobatic/gymnastic acts at the end were amazing too!! We felt the set up could have been made more comfortable. We were all seated on tables of about 20 but the tables were so tightly packed in, the backs of your chairs were touching the backs of the chairs of the table behind. If someone needed to get up to the toilet etc, the whole of that side of the table would have to get up to let them out. The staff could have also explained a little better what would happen as we were seated and tried to ask about drinks but they just gestured for us to be quiet. We waited and eventually someone came over with some wine and began pouring glasses. He only managed to do a few before running out and then disappeared and never came back to fill the others. We tried to call someone over after some time and eventually a lady came over with bottles of Rum and small cans of coke. She put them on the table and it was a can of coke each and a bottle of Rum between 4 people. We tried to tell her about the wine as some people on the table didnt drink rum and wanted the wine, especially as it was included in the price we had paid, but she either didnt understand us or just didnt care because most of us never got the wine in the end. There were a few technical difficulties with the show which meant it had to keep stopping and starting again as the lights would go out and the music would cut out. It wasnt really mine and my partners type of thing but we wanted to go for the experience and it was ok! A few people on our table had been many many years back and said the experience was far better back then, you were not crammed in like salmons on tables and there were less people per table and the drink system was better in that you didnt have to wait 45 minutes to be given your drinks etc. Overall, I am glad for the experience but it is something that once you have done it once, you dont need to do it again. And it was expensive at over £100.00.

Great ambience. The show is ok, maybe not the best but it is nice to go watch it once in a lifetime. They offer different packages with drinks (rum, coke, and sparkling wineand peanuts. The venue is nice, outdoors. Not too pricey. Staff is friendly. Overall a nice experience for tourists in Havana.

AMAZING OUTDOOR DINNER SHOW! The colours, the music and the dancers were all so breathtaking. there isnt a bad seat in the club. Service was fantastic, I was lucky enough to be brought up to dance with a few of the girls and that made it so memorable. Highly recommend if you are travelling to Havana!

Really expensive, Mexican music and a regular cabaret that can be seen anywhere in the world. Plus, there is no dinner included unless you pay over 100 €

Not to be missed if visiting Havana. High powered world class show with 100+ dancers, singers and musicians thats been entertaining audiences since 1939. The costumes were beautiful and the dancing and music was spot on. Came to the show as a shore excursion with NCL cruise - a perfect ending to our short stay in Cuba. Cabaret Tropicana easily earns all 5 stars.

What an amazing experience!The show was non-stop for start to finish. We didn’t get to see the whole show as our cruise line, Royal Caribbean, hadn’t arranged for us to stay the whole time (please read my review on the cruise experience - it’s been a nightmare).The show was clearly the inspiration for all the Vegas shows. It really is a must do!

What a fun and great evening! This is a variety show where you will enjoy music, dancing, acrobatics, and more. You will not be disappointed.

I have been to London, Paris, Rome and Madrid. The show we saw January 2019 was one of the best experiences of my life. Do not miss this Cabaret if you visit Havana.

Amazing show. A must see if you are in Cuba. Very nice it takes place in an outdoor auditorium and the live orchestra makes it even better. The second stage with chorus dancers in costumes to complete the main stage is very well done. The cast is friendly and engage the audience well.

We went to the Cabaret Tropicana in Havana on Christmas night 2018. We booked our tickets with preferred seating online prior to our trip. We traveled to Cuba on a cruise. If we had booked an excursion from the ship it would of cost us twice as much as doing it ourselves. Plus our seating was better. We got our own taxi from the port to the show. $30 CUC each way. Our taxi driver waited for us and brought us back. They are serious about their dress code. No shorts and closed toed shoes for men. We saw people turned away who were not dressed appropriately. Men are given cigars on arrival and women are given a flower. If you order a drink before the show it is additional cost. A 1/4 bottle of rum and a coke is included with each ticket. We were also give a glass of champagne. The show was incredible. My husband was dragging his feet about going, but her truly enjoyed it. A bit pricey but I was really glad we did this. If you have time add it to your schedule.

I thought it was a fantastic show. Its a cabaret! = PG13 costumes. Dont bring adolescent kids or a prudish attitude and youll have a great time. Hint fellas! Cameras ready at opening number, or youll regret it! And yes, the rum is better in Cuba! Damn its good.

Show living off their fame from the past. The show and dinner was expensive. The food was just OK. The show was not impressive. At the end you could take a picture with a dancer. Although the dancer didn’t seem to like her picture taken and just left after only a few people’s pictures.

What a show! I loved every minute of it! If you are only in Havana for one night (which we were,this is a must-see! We chose the Plus Show tickets, which included: 1/4 bottle of Havana Club rum per person, preferential seating, an appetizer, complimentary drink and a can of cola. Men were given complimentary cigars, the women a single rose.It is formal dress and if you buy your tickets online, make sure to print out and bring the voucher with you. The show goes from 10pm-12:30am. Dinner is available before, but we chose not to eat there because we heard the food wasnt very good.The costumes and scenery is vibrant with true Cuban flare! The music was lovely and the performers were very talented. We even got up on stage at the end and danced with everyone! It was so much fun!

Lots of Butts in your face. Very little clothing for the woman. The costumes get more conservative as the show goes on. So if you want to see some 80% naked Cuban ladies then this is the show for you. The place was clean and the rum was strong. I got a mojito that came in a large glass and was really potent. I was warned that the dancing was poor but I thought it was very well done. If you dont appreciate dancing so much then you might get bored 40 minutes into the 2 hour long show. Pretty cool stuff and worth the $180 i spent on the admission.

It’s interesting to read the reviews. I did not have the same experience as most folks. Have you heard of the old show adage “leave them wanting more”? These folks haven’t. 95 unrelieved minutes of the same Latin beat, the same dance, etc. costumes were great, the tropical colors are exciting but fifty minutes and I was done. After 80 minutes I left. Dancing is not as good as college performances I’ve seen, singing was average. The Conga drum guy had me wishing for Desi. Most the people seemed to enjoy it but at $129 a person I wonder if they won’t admit they didn’t. I did like Cuba a lot though.

2 stars for the performance would have possibly been more stars but couldn’t see the show very well because of the angle and location of our seats. One older guy to serve our group of around 50 people maybe more. Didn’t get our rum and coke until half way through the show left with nothing to drink all that time. Girl at the door giving out cigars and flowers couldn’t have looked more miserable.Altogether a poor experience, not what I expected from such a famous please.

Oldest running cabaret show in Havana. The place was never closed down, they always had shows since opening. Wonderful show with great costumes, music and acts. There is also a restaurant attached to the location. Taxi service provided from there back into town, about a 20 min drive from Old Town Havana.

The show is great, the ladies are beautiful the rum is plentiful and you really get a vibe of "the old days" while being here. Its a little expensive, but well worth your money.

This was truly the highlight of my stay in Cuba. This is the original Cuban style cabaret at the one and only Tropicana. These are the classic shows that made Havana a hit back in the 40s and 50s. This venue was tremendous and full of gala. There were 200 performers; singers, dancers and musicians. Great choreography. We paid online and received a voucher. We were given a bucket of ice, a bottle of Rum, a cigar and/or carnation plus snacks. We had the option to have dinner included but ate prior as the show starts very late. I would do it again. Great Service. Fabulous Show!

Horrible show, service, and they do not provide the items you purchase. I booked 4 tickets that were to each come with a bottle of rum, cigar, and cold cut appetizer. This was stated directly on the companies website where I purchased the tickets. We got 1 used (already openedbottle of rum to split between the 4 of us and 4 other ppl we didnt know. We got no cigars. We got no cold cut appetizer. The show itself was poor quality and extremely racist, not only in their grouping of the dancers, but also in the choice of musical numbers. Do not bother coming here.

Visited the club on Sept. 2nd 2017 for the evening show.When we booked the tickets online, it said dinner included for the $85 seats. We booked 16 seats. When we got to the club we were told that we will not be served dinner. We got a small dish of peanuts and three bottles of rum. Everyone got a bottle of coke as well.Some of us wanted water instead of coke, we had to pay extra for that.A total waste of money and time.

The show was good. However, all we got was our one free drink. There are not enough waiters to come back for a refill. The show was straight out of the 50s. I could almost see Desi Arnaz there!

I loved it! We took the most expensive ticket and were sitting just next to the stage.The costumes are fantastic, the dances are bright and emotional. I liked that they were showing stories via dances. Acrobats were stunning. And even when there were just singers, it felt just right.I strongly suggest not to leave after the show as there will be a party with fun group dancing on the stage, which you will enjoy.I liked that we received light snacks (nuts), champagne, rom and cola.Lowlights: champagne was poor, in the past they were giving flowers to ladies but we didnt get those, also in the past the highest priced tickets would get souvenirs, but not anymore.

We had a wonderful time. Our ticket included a Cuban cigar and a small bottle of rum. The show was spectacular and the service was good.

Although Im sure its a tourist trap, it still feels authentic. You feel like youre in a different era. They also give you a free pint of rum, wine, cigars, and flowers for the ladies. Its definitely worth it, even if it seems like a cliché. Its so much fun.

This is an event for history. The participants are not historically correct. I have no problem with race. However, you would not show a historical slave show with white actors.Here, most (90%are not white. The male dancers are not the dominant figures as in the past. The dancing, costumes, and singing were awesome, just not historically correct.

This is the TOP show in Havana, dozens of beautiful dancers with the most amazing costumes and choreography, I bought the dinner included pack, the food and service was very good, even we had a violinist performance while we were having dinner, unmissable. I booked previously in the travel agency.

A wonderful experience, uniting the old and new Havana with its legendary cabaret. The show is under the stars, with intense lighting, music, dancing, and the requisite smoking and drinking. One important caveat, is the price. It is quite expensive, to the extent the audience is near dominated by tourists, and something that began for locals now practically excludes them. The dancers, singers and performers were world-class, and the show was brisk, captivating, and entirely engaging. Some of the costumes and lighting/special effects felt a bit dated, but for me, it was part of the appeal as well. It certainly reflects a specific moment in time in Cuba, and for me, it was exactly what I had hoped it would be.

March 2014The Show was a part of the whole day trip to Havana.You must see this if you are visiting Cuba. Duration of the show is 1.5 hours. The venue seats 1500 people and is often packed depending on the season.The show tells the story of Cuban history through music, dance and visuals. The costumes were exquisite, and singers, dancers and acrobats were a world-class.The food was "good-enough" and drinks were excellent.At the entrance, a courtesy gift: for gentlemen a cigar and for ladies a flower.It is a formal event show so please dress appropriately. It is an outdoor venue but nights in Havana are quite warm.After the show, there are several after-parties so go on and dance the night away.

This was truly an amazing show.You feel like youve gone back in time to old Havana years.Im going to be visiting Cuba soon and this show is on my one of first things to do.the enterence cost was worth every dollar.
