Tropicana Beach Club - Nightclub in Ihosy, Madagascar
Will they re-open, please dont tell me its permanently closed :(
I love this bar and how fun and entertaining everything is, the staff are really kind and respectful. I guarantee you will have a fun time here. The best thing about this is that the entertainment isn’t just for kids it’s for people of all ages. Im giving 5 stars to show my support and to give my appreciation on how absolutely amazing this is. I have only came for one week but it’s been nothing but amazing and I will definitely be showing up again.
Went here a few years ago best club I’ve ever been too! Just noticed it’s temporarily closed which I hope really is temporary otherwise it will be such a shame!
Horrendous experience. The food was atrociously bad, served cold and absolutely flavourless. Whoever thought Mac n cheese croquettes was a good idea, needs to seriously rethink this. Music was the worst mainstream has to offer. The show was mediocre. Wont be returning!
I have booked a couple of tables for my birthday party and it as a very good choice. Music was great. We have ordered Surf Board as an additional entertainment for our guests. The drinks were served at the same time with birthday cake. Beach Boys were fab. Ill definitely recommend this place to everyone
Quite a disappointing attempt at dinner and a show. The performances were very short and extremely lack lustre. The only somewhat eye catching performances were from two ladies who played with fire but their sets were so brief!. The food was very bland, none of the group I was with enjoyed their food despite having all ordered separate dishes :( . The cocktails were absolutely awful, watered down I may as well have been sipping on a cheap synthetice syrup. The decor itself is quite lack lustre, they could invest more in adding to the faux foliage and giving a true tropican experience. Overall if you are looking for a dinner with a show that will be more entertaining neighbouring bunga bunga would be a better option.
First of all the club and the music were very nice, the atmosphere was great !However, the staff is not nice at all, the welcoming was very bad and cloakroom lady was very unsympathetic and was starring at me and my friend very strangely while judging all our clothes we were giving to her !After that, while dancing in the club, we were not feeling safe at all and more precisely were feeling alike pieces of meat on the middle of a lion cage ! Some guys, totally drunk, were very insistent and the security men did not seem to have an issue with that !We left after one hour there and after spending 30£ each for the entrance plus 4£ for the cloakroom !As result, our night was way too expensive and very mediocre.
If your tired of the same old club nonsense, then this club is a must. You won’t be disappointed. What a fantastic place. The hostess of the show was the funniest drag queen I have ever seen😂beats Ru Paul any day!!💙Bar staff...superb. Security on point. They interacted with the crowd and cared about our enjoyment and safety. Big up security!!!!! As for the food and drink can’t fault it. I will definitely be back. And I can’t wait. Thanks guys for an unforgettable night❤️💜💞💋🤣😁
Awesome experience, amazing music, great show, great location and setup! I organized a large Party with 75+ people and I only got great feedback from all my guests. I will definitely organize many future events at Tropicana Beach Club on regular basis from now on!!!!!!!
Such a great place. Celebrated friends birthday last Saturday and had fantastic time. Booked pool side table with drinks package, which was delivered by super hot beach lifeguards - what a treat!!! Amazing atmosphere and music. Will be back soon.
Its really not a nice club. They dont care about the toilets. You have to pay the wardrobe only by card. For going outside you have to wait a long time. The stuff is unfriendly. And when they have the special offer of free entrance, they still want you to pay 5£ because you also have to have a ticket. The music is from 2014 and all in all we left the club after an hour. (sorry for my english, im german.)
Absolutely fab night out - no matter what time you turn up at the venue, it always has a great vibe. The food is insane, especially the tortilla chips with guac and the tacos! A great feature of the space is that wherever you are in the venue you can see the main space, but you also end up dancing anywhere and everywhere around the venue - we always have such a good time. 12/10 would return, and would definitely recommend!
Went to Tropicana for a ladies night out & it was amazing. The overall atmosphere was a nice vibe and staff were amazing. Bar staff were efficient whilst engaging in conversations with the customers. The venue also had a lady that was doing face glitter designs which is very unique compared to other clubs!
Ive been going to Tropicana Beach Club for a few years now and its always been a great night with an electric atmosphere with fun performances by dancers and other fun acts. The food Ive had in the past (they do some really nice tacos which come in a vegetarian option toois always delicious. Staff Ive spoken to have always been really friendly and helpful.Would absolutely recommend for a fun night in London.
The service was terrible, i had reserved a table and paid 100 pounds for this and had to wait 30 minutes until we asked the waitress to show us the drink menu. Initially the waitress was very hostile towards me and had a lot of attitude considering my friends and i were willing to buy the £1000 deal. I would not recommend to any bunch of boys although, my girl friends did say they enjoyed themselves apart from the poor service and the fact that we had to pay 50 pounds for this awful service.
Attended the Musical Brunch. The performances were excellent. However the seat I was assigned was behind the stage to the right. After informing the staff and heckling the acts they moved off the stage into a central area where all tables could see the acts. The cocktails are watered down and expensive and the bottomless prosseco is by the glass. So its carnage at the bar for the 1 hour that drinks are free. The food was uncooked. My burger pictured was cold and left blood all over the plate. I dont mind a bloody steak but not want I expect for a burger. Unsafe to eat.Later that evening they opened the stage so we could see the acts (also pictured).Save your money or come with the lowest of expectations.
I can see what they trying to achieve with deco, ambience but they are let down by their cocktails with barely any alcohol and 80% ice for £10 a glass it’s daylight robbery. On top of that they have hot men and ladies walking around flirting with you and getting you to buy more drinks and shots. The waiter s are quick aggressive at clearing your table every two minutes even taking plates away when not finished our platter yet or taking glasses away when our drinks were not finished, the food was good though. All and all I would NOT RECOMMEND this place. There are better options out there like Banga Banga next door. Two stars for deco and food.
Hip hop brunch is overrated. Not worth £50 Watered down drinks (whole carton of juice for one shot in cocktailsand food felt like a 5year old bday party. A shame as hosts were energetic and worthwhile.
Have been at night for clubbing and to Hip Hop Brunch. Fun experience both time. Can be expensive for cocktails but beer well priced and good selection of music.
There is a lot of genuine nice and friendly staff here.Although my brand new Canada Goose coat got stolen here on the weekend before Christmas while I had only popped over for an hour to meet some friends, the staff were extremely helpful. The general manager invited me come down to the club and watch the CCTV footage for myself of the incident. Unfortunately there were some areas that the cameras were not recording so we were unable to see what happened to my jacket. But the staff did make a decent effort to investigate it and the manager and another member of staff sat with me for about 30 minutes as we searched through the CCTV footage that was available.
Booked a dinner and event night for new years. All in all food and atmosphere was lovely...however, the food serving felt rushed. We had our middle and main course served to us before we had finished the previous! Even though we had 2 hours 30min for our table, we had been served all our courses within 1 hour!! Additionally, no steak knives were given for our steak course, we had to go to the bar to ask! The wrong wine was given to us! To top it all off all the staff decided to have a group selfie in the middle of serving about 50 people!!! Not very professional.
Club Tropicana was hosting a special event of the greatest showman sing along. Staff were very kind but seemed really un-organised especially with food. Speaking off food the chips were exactly like Mcdonald chips. (Nice. Two mini burgers needed a little more flavouring otherwise quite delicious. The location was spacious with loads of choice for seating but unfortunately lacked comfort as there was nothing to lean on unless you were tactical and found yourself a wall. Very sore bottoms by the end of the night. Then there was the show itself. What a nightmare! Because no lyrics were given or shown on screen. No wonder almost everybody hesitated to sing. What a complete waste of my mobile data. I might as well stayed home and popped in my sing along dvd. Neighbors would not have been too happy though. At least it was a wonderful excuse for a date with my fiancé.
I came to Tropicana Beach Club so many times in the past and I really had a great fun but on the 26th of December : A BIG FAILURE! Shortage of stuff perhaps ? I don’t know what happened, but we were very dissapointed with the way Tropicana Beach Club organised this event. We’ve purchased tickets for 21:30 for Masquerade Glitterball, Great Gatsby ( btw that was far from a Great Gatsby theme as advertised !!! We were on time, we left our coats in the cloakroom and they let us in, all the way upstairs to the bar. Everything was fine and I was happy that I was among the first ones to have my glitter makeup done...and then the staff members decided that “they are not ready” and told us to go by the reception downstairs and wait as the party actually starts at 22:00!!!!!!!! ( on the ticket is 21:30ok no problem. We went outside in front of the door without taking our stuff from the cloakroom as we thought we will be back in quickly. We were the first ones anyway. I was wearing my dance shoes so I didn’t change back in my street schoes. And I didn’t take my jacket either. More people started to come so we thought ok is time to get back in now ( We were the first ones at the party! and we were there at 21:30 as this was the time on the tickets!!!! not to mention that on their website they said to be there even earlier for the glitter makeup AND now the security guy ( the same one who let us in when we came at 21:30told us to go and queue AGAIN !!! and asked for the tickets AGAIN ( Man, we were inside a few minute ago!!!!!! YOU let us in! I had my coat and bag in the cloakroom !!! He didnt want to let me go back to take my staff !!! I was freezing!! and then he asked for ID and Tickets again! Luckily I didn’t leave all my staff in the cloakroom and I had my phone with me...The experience was far from what we expected. It was so embarrassing as I had to apologize to my friends for this so many times and it wasn’t even our fault. I invited my friends to Tropicana Club as I thought is a cool place to spend the second day of Christmas. It was the first time when they came to this club and didn’t know that is going to be like this. The dancers were LATE and very bored and not in the mood of entertaining the guests, I didn’t see any LIVE drummers as mentioned on the website ...Very bad choice of music for a Great Gatsby theme, and of course the queue was too big now for the glitter makeup to bother and wait for this ( now I wasn’t among the first ones in the queue anymore... Why?!! because we had to queue TWICE by the entrance!!!!! )Shame!!!! Next time if you’re short on staff better not organising an event like this. Since you’ve asked for my review, there you go... I wanted to write the review straight away on the 26th but I thought it’s not even worth wasting time on this.I am better at organising events like this maybe you need some tips on how to do it ;Adios Tropicana Beach Club!!! I won’t recommend this club again!
Bouncers outside were rude and disrespectful. Myself and a few mates queued up to get in. Funnily enough- myself and my friend who are both black didn’t get in whilst the others seemed to get in with no trouble. The bouncers didn’t know we were all together so when questioned, they couldn’t give a valid reason as to why we weren’t allowed in. They even had the cheek to say they hadn’t let anyone in.My friends came out and informed them that we were all together. We asked for ID badges to be shown from the staff as it was clear that we were being racially discriminated. Unfortunately none of the staff had any form of ID nor would they cooperate with us any further even though asked polietly to resolve the situation. Ruined the night- certianly will not be returning!
This was the worst night out ever. The quality of the music was poor it was distorted by the clubs sound system. The food is poor too.£40 for macaroni and cheese and taco’s is a rip-off. The service is none existent. It took ages to have the meal served. We were charged for someone who did not come too. All this place cares about is taking your money.
We were out for a birthday celebration and have been to many brunches before in London. We have paid in the range of 40 - 55 for brunches before and have been offered much more food and drink for this amount. This brunch is 45 pound. Our first issue is that the hour bottomless was for a selected - and limited to - two specified drinks --which when tasting we could not taste any alcohol- and when we asked the bar tenders how much alcohol was being put into one jug (which serves around 10people -observedthey said 4 doubles - which equates to below half usual single measurement each. Within the hour, unless drinking incredibly fast you would only be able to drink around 4 drinks. This would equate to 2 singles.Baring in mind they had roughly 10-11 tables that also seated around 10-12 people and they only had 1 and a half bar staff for both bars. Equating to 4 bar staff maximum but 2 for the majority of times shared between around 100 people. This sets the ratio, for the majority of the time to: 1-50. They do not come to tables like other brunches. Our second issue is with the allocation and distribution of food, when the starters were served. We received two plates between 10 people which when divided equated to 2 nachos each and 2 veggie poppers or 2 chicken wings each. When the mains arrived it was also problematic with meat eaters only being offered BBQ chicken for both starter and main. The mains were equally not that apetising, with both veggies and non veggies feeling a littleBaring in mind we were a booking of 10 which equated to 450 pounds for the table alone. 10 tables at this is 4,500.Later, when the entertainment unravelled we were equally disappointed. There was a magician we had seen previously with the same acts and a two hour dj set which wasnt anything to write home about, and after, a karaoke, not as fun as could have been (everyone seemed very rehearsed).Altogether my advice: there are better deals for brunches elsewhere. Not even worth the money. Had it been cheaper than maybe. The hip hop DJ Set didnt even save the day.
If I could rate lower than one star I would. Me, my best friend, boyfriend and his mate all went for a night out here for Halloween, (this only happened last nightwe don’t live local so we all had to get a cab up to this club which wasn’t cheap, on top of that also having club entry tickets which were £15 each. We all go there pretty early just after 9 and by 11 we were all being kicked out.The reason for this being apparently someone “complained” about the boys throwing things around DESPITE inflatables being throw around the club all night by everyone? And “kicking their legs up in the air” first of all we didn’t have anything to throw around and why would we be throwing thing around we aren’t violent or people coming for a fight and trying to ruin everyone elses night, if anything WE hate them kinds of people on a night out so we certainly wouldn’t act in his way.Anyway, so a bouncer approached the two boys bearing in mind they didn’t say a word to us! Asked them to follow him and took us out side the building and told we were being asked to leave because of the reason I started above. It was 11 o clock we were all completely sober we spent stupid amounts of money in there in that short period of time all to be kicked out for completely no reason! Of course we asked to see the manager but was told he’s very busy and would be down shortly .. of course he never turned up. The truth is, it was busy, there was a lot of girls outside lining up trying to get it and they were trying to get as many MEN out as they could. It’s disgusting how they treated us and I will never waste my money coming back to this place ever again after that.
This was a really good night out for a mates Hen doo. It’s a good spot for the lady’s night out a lot of birthdays, stags and hens. The waiter life guards were extremely likeable and decent to look at, they were super relaxed and fun. The music was very good and went in theme with the night. Nothing to heavy but commercial music for everyone’s liking. Highly recommend
Great cocktail bar, music and friendly staff. Such a shame that the dance floor is quite small, should maybe consider getting rid of some tables near the dance floor as it gets late?
Went here on a Friday night for a birthday. I booked ahead and it was a pretty simple process. The down payment goes towards drinks once you get there. A free cloakroom is downstairs before you head into the main part which is always convenient. The place itself is spacious with a main dance floor and two bars on either side. You will not be waiting long for a drink as service is quick with both bars open. From opening they serve food, it would be best to book a table for food service. Drinks can be pricey, they have a 2-4-1 offer on Thursdays and Fridays on cocktails and beers. The cocktails are nice! The main reason I do like this place is that it is always lively with people that come to have a good time as well as the dancers they have that give a show from time to time. This brings the place to life! The music was way too loud, even when I was far from the dancefloor I struggled to hear the company I was with. Once I was outside my ears were ringing.Fun fact: This place used to be called Guanabara
Went to the Tropicana earlier this week, club hosted a charity event for older people. Wonderful afternoon, staff could not have been more helpful.
If your looking for a great atmosphere, lovely staff, and fantastic club DJ this place will not disappoint. It was packed when we arrived at 11.30pm but we could still get a drink and we met lots of people. Everyone was having a great time and special thanks to Marcus for the little gift arranged along with seating. They really looked after us. Definitely recommend this club and will be back tor another night.
Never again. Rude staff. The worst place I have been in London. The blonde girl selecting people by type to go inside. And the security are very unprofessional and rude with customers.Drinks are very expensive and terrible music. If you fancy place to meet people and enjoy with friends, definitely is not this place.DO NOT RECOMMENDED
Nice experience at first, however after 2 hours of waiting we were finally seated for our meals, our booking was at 8, we sat down at 10, finally ate at half 10 going 11! Massive let down, drinks made the night tolerable, fun area to dance. Then after given wristbands for free drinks (from our tabdrunk friends were taken advantage of and made to pay for drinks, spoke to 5 different managers that night. 👎🏻👎🏻
Had a fun night here, very entertaining. Loved the decor & colours. The cocktails here were strong & tasty... PiñaColada slushy was one of my favourites. The music got way too loud later in the evening, our ears were ringing for the rest of the weekend.
Celebrated my birthday here. Had the best night ever. We had dinner followed by booking one of the beach shacks for drinks. Both were great. The entertainment started and ran all night with everyone loving the music. Ill definitely be back!
I have been going back to this place for years because I know it’s going to be a good night out. Last night was the first time I returned with the clubs new branding as Tropicana. I love what they had done to the place with all the palm trees and beach club atmosphere, but it is stll very much all what guanabara use to be: friendly staff, great drinks, fantastic performances and great music. Sadly there isn’t as much Latin music as there use to be but the tunes are still great to dance to. This is really a club for people who love to dance! I recommend going early to enjoy happy hour with their delicious cocktails and catch all the performances! Best club ever!
Rubbish, trashy night out. It looked like a scene from the only way is Essex. All staff from the door to the bar, to management were incredibly rude. Disproportionate amount of women to men. Tacky entertainment. Be careful, they serve double measures as a standard and dont tell you unless you ask why your drink cost so much. (Dangerous for anyone driving or trying to stay in control of the amount theyre consuming. This place has no vibe at all, crappy music all night long. Definitely worth a miss!
Went there for a private party. Interesting place for a different night out or celebration.
Absolutely awful experience from start the finish. Visited for my friends birthday 30/09/17. The strawberry daiquiri which was included as part of our dinner menu was very watered down. We were supposed to get unlimited skin on fries, salad and a dessert as stated on the menu this was not given to us. The waitress was told but did not resolve the requests. So many people in this venue were intoxicated which led two members of our group being attacked. A female of our group was punched in the face and racially abused! This was reported to the general manager and security who took the individuals out of the club but the police were not called. There was no support from the manger, who decided to hide in a room instead of coming to speak to us, about our concerns, absolutely terribleThis incident has has now been raised with the police who are investigating and formal written complaint has been sent to the manger.I wouldnt advise anyone to visit Tropicana beach club in a hurry. My friends birthday was completely ruined.
The bar is a topic starter, whoever came up with it is a cool person. You are in London experiencing ``the tropical heat``. Hard to keep you eyes off the mildly underdressed young girls. If you have a jealous kind of girl skip this place. The guys are also walking topless but they are shy even though their upper body is pumped up and they feel kinda embarrassed to walk around in a boxer. Receptionist are really friendly and engaging.
Pros:-Dancers in fancy costumes come in and entertain the diners.-Drinks are decent with happy hour as an added bonus.-Clubby feel good vibe in general.Cons:-Not good for dining. Food is below average for the price: Bland.-Music goes from decent Spanish/Latin and RnB hits to cheesy pop from the 80s and 90s you see your nan shuffling to...Sort out your DJ!-No need for A/C, it was freezing where we sat and the staff didnt turn it down or off on request.Overall it was average with the occasional laugh. Vibes werent bad, I appreciate its loud because its a club. Decent for friends who want a laugh, and maybe caters to the 35-40s+ age group.Because its a club dont expect much for the food or to go there for conversation with your date!! (in my case, I misjudged here).
The club was quite busy with a very young crowd, so if youre over 21ish you probably dont want to waste your time there. Broken glasses on the floor, and very small drinks. The waitresses were rude and would actually put their hands on you and push you out of the way to get through the crowd. I wouldnt go back.
OK so if you dont book a table for £32 you have grab a small table which were all Taken at the side but in the pity area of the club theree were so many empty tables awaiting the birthdays booking. So we got there at 7.30 and there was empty tables for 10pm but you cant sit there even though the booked group havent arrive. Thats poor business sense. So for 2_3 hrs empty tables. Every empty Table we went to sit we were removed so stupid. We were moved 4 times!Oh gosh then the music was on repeat and then they had x factor rejects singing over the songs like it was karaoke for at least 2hrs, why I dont know.Overall terrible experience and not letting people sit down was poor business because if you allow people to sit at the empty table you would make money. I felt sorry for the half naked men who had to dance around. Just dont go!
Best night out of London!Out of ordinary club with sud America restaurant. Show and exibithion every Friday and Saturday night following disco till 3pmInternational environment with a mix of age 25-40Perfect place for a group of friends or to celebrate somethingThank you very much to the manager and staff see you again soon!
Food is good, but overpriced. Music is not good, not a single beach club/latin song was played. Dont go there if youre expecting salsa dancing or any non boy band music. Not even when requested.Drinks are expensive and poorly done. Insanely sweet, almost impossible to drink. Waiters refused to refund people for drinks.
Overall the atmosphere is not bad. Music wise, its hard for them to satisfy all the preferences so I wont comment on this , in fact I thought the music wasnt bad at all.I went on a Friday night and the entertaining dancers were there for 20 mins max , maybe its bit different on a Saturday night ? The food was average, I really think they can look into improving it.The cocktails are almost nonalcoholic, literally could not taste anything but juice , me and my friends kept ordering them yet at the end of the night I was completely sober, magic right ?! :)Nice decor and very friendly staff though.
Brilliant new venue set in a Havana, tropical beac club retreat decor. I just completed a Google 360 Virtual Tour (watch out for it onlineand the management team are very professional. The music is absolutely great, cocktails and drinks just as extravagant as the name, super friendly staff and plenty of space to experience all areas. New kind of experiential London bar with plenty of surprises.I need to visit when the live performances are on and the food is flowing :-)
Tropicana beach club is part of another existing club venue there. I didnt expect to have unlimited free drinks and food, but that being said it comes with a price. It took ages to get a drink because some bartenders there were very slow. I only tasted two tacos when food was being served all around the place. I cannot comment too much about the food. Their cocktail drinks were not bad, it was on a sweeter side but you can ask the bartender to trim down sugar inputs. I thought the environment was a bit cheesy with many shirtless men around. Maybe because Im in my 30s, I just thought they were very cheesy!! I felt a little old compare to all the energetic 20 something people, but that didnt stop us from having fun. It was quite fascinating watching dressed up people trying to talk to each other but no one really did. My friend and I left early because it wasnt our type of thing but it was a fun cheesy experience. :)
Awesome place, very nice food, super friendly stuff, good vibe, live music and shows +there is a nice dance floor. Highly recommended
