Management needs to get it together.Incredibly long wait times, incredibly short staffed. Only have 1 person manning all stations

Worst experience ever. Had to wait for 10 mins and not even acknowledged. An order was placed and they made everyone else’s orders before they made our order. Worst experience ever. We had to ask about our order and they had to remake it. They were very slow.

Great! I always order on the app and my order has always been ready when I get there and made correctly!

Order took a bit to come out. Recently it seems like the staff are not to friendly. There was a young man there who was nice though.

Ordered online and was missing a few items including a side and edible straws. Didnt realize until I got home. We were pretty bummed since this was our first time here. The items we did receive were pretty good though.

Worst customer service. Restaurant is dirty and smoothies don’t taste as good as the other locations. I will drive an extra 15 to avoid visiting this location.

The staff here are the best! I stop here every morning for my breakfast smoothie and they know me by name when I walk through the door. They know Ialways want my usual. Not only are the very friendly, their smoothies are always amazing. When I first stopped in they recommended what they thought I’d like. I’ve tried a few different things but my favorite is the Island Green Detox, no ginger add 1 extra banana. Not to mention the place is very clean. I have seen them so packed and the staff hustling to prepare everything and keep the product moving out the door. This place is very professional and the food and drinks are Great!!!

Awesome location! I told Amari what I wanted as far as flavor, and she made me something perfect.

It takes forever to get your order and has happened on numerous occasions. They need to hire more employees or figure something else out

My co-worker just told me about this so I came over for lunch to grab a smoothie. WOW so many options I definitely be back to try some different combinations. You guys got a great thing going on and kudos to the awesome staff!! Thank you Vontis your customer service is bar none!!!

Terrible service, terrible smoothie and the place is ALWAYS dirty. Honestly, the owner should sell this franchise since they clearly dont care.

I meant to leave this review the other day, but hats off to Vontis, she is great!! I’m new to the smoothie lifestyle and she took time out to explain all the various smoothies and extras. They had a sign saying only online orders. That’s fair, but then no idea how to efficiently give the order when you arrived. Many people standing outside waiting. For a very long time. I don’t blame the workers, whoever runs this place is incompetent.

As I came in they had Peaches and Cream playing & the artist was saying " I have your legs around my neck so I cant get up" as there are families and little kids in there. As I proceed to place my order, LaShaundra was glaring and just not happy to be taking smoothie/food orders. Had an attitude the whole time. Not only that, every time someone walked in she looked so angry as if she was doing us a personal favor. After I paid, I closely watched the items being made but I did not see any tampering (thank god!). Unfortunately, once I received my food it was just TRASH. The smoothie was completely tasteless and the food was so disgusting, as soon as I bit into it I spit it out. I cannot believe something that disgusting touched my lips or tongue. Get nauseous thinking about it. Its upsetting because I used to frequent this place a lot but I will NEVER come back. I have told all the staff I work with and my family and we will no longer be coming to your establishment. Please get your house in order, its just filthy

The worst smoothie Ive ever order in my life. The color was off then when I tasted/smelled it I got sick. I have never in my life spend $7+ dollar on a smoothie and had to throw it away. This place is a total waste of money. I tried to call the café and of course no one answered. Will never go back.

first thing, they’re advertising for the hurricane on their building but they said they no longer are serving this item. take the sign down! second, they aren’t serving food. there is one person working and it took an hour through the drive thru. just close the store if it’s this bad. also - they messed up the order and her response was “my head phone isn’t working”. terrible service!

Although the food is really good. Tropical smoothie Café is never open and is poorly managed. I would recommend to not come here due to the inconvenience that they frequently cause.

I went here and got the avacolada with strawberry and a Bahama mama. I also ordered the chicken pesto sandwich thing which was a first for me. A young guy named Cameron took my order and made it also. And everything was delicious. I do however think that if they had a supervisor that was older than 16 then maybe the other employees would have been more engaged. Cameron took the order and made my food because the other 1 In the back was struggling with the order before mine. So if your in a rush....maybe this isnt the place for you..cause in my opinion.. no matter the location they always take long or are very busy.

Been there 3 times they r rude and unprofessional even 4 fast food. I love tropical smoothies but I will go across town before I go in there again.

Best smoothie Ive had there today! I get island green! Well blended and no extras!!!

First, let me start off with the fact that I really like the food here when it’s done right.This particular one was very disappointing though. I ordered from the app to pick up an avocalado and a chicken caprese sandwich. It was lunch time, no one was there, quite a slow time and it seemed to be one worker.My sandwich was good but my avocalado was somehow terrible. First there wasn’t any avocado and it just tasted off. The drink was a severe disappointment but the reason why I’m writing a review is because it wasn’t at all busy. I’ve seen trainees make a shake that took 3-5 minutes. It took longer but it came out right. This person is entrusted with a store and to cook and make things…..like what gives? Like, if you are having a bad day, just take it slow and easy. I don’t care if it takes 10 minutes. Just make it right.

This is the second time in a couple of weeks I have come to this location and been completely ignored.The first experience was an online preorder that was partially prepared and ready about 17mins after placing the order although the estimated time was 15 mins. I could tell they were busy so I stepped aside and patiently waited for the rest of my order to make it to the pick up counter.No one greeted me or asked if I was in need of assistance for about another 10 mins. Finally someone did ask which order was mine and checked the smoothies that had been placed on the counter. After realizing none of them were mine they read my ticket and realized it was an online order. Only then did they begin to prepare my smoothie. Overall it took about 30 mins to receive my full order on my meal break from work.Today I was unable to order online because of a system error and just decided to order upon arrival. I walked into the lobby where 2 other people were waiting to receive orders but no one was in line in front of me. I walked up to the counter and made eye contact with at least 2 of the employees working in the kitchen area but once again was not greeted. After about a minute someone came up to the counter with an order in hand and called out someone’s name for pick up. The employee looked right at me and turned around to walk back into the kitchen area again without acknowledging me at all! After standing there for about 5 more seconds I thought it best not to cause a scene and just leave. The experience was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. I will not be giving my money to this restaurant in the future.

This place is filthy! Even around the time of opening the dining area is littered with trash. It’s apparent this place does not value cleaning. Once you go in the door you’ll notice trash on the floor, dead gnats in window seals, straw paper everywhere. Management and owners ought to be ashamed.

At 7:26p the staff is saying that you can’t order any food other than a quesadilla. What restaurant that serves food, stop serving food over 30 minutes before they close? This is poor customer service. I won’t visit this establishment again if this is a regular practice. Quite disappointing.

The mobile app is great. Product was ready when stated. Although I like the efficiency of the no-contact mobile pickup, I still like to be greeted upon entering an establishment especially after I say hello AND thank you. Hoping I was just not heard. We’ll try again soon since I received a deal after completing a receipt survey. 🤞🏾

Always takes forever I come here on my lunch break and barely make it back on time. The ingredients in my smoothie were not mixed well and overall tasted like ice with seeds in it. Not at all pleased with my experience. I never leave reviews but I made sure to go out of my way to leave one here for management to see before this place goes bankrupt from customer disappointment.

This franchise location is CONSTANTLY running out of something. Especially the chips and other sides. Other times its the vegan imitation "chicken." I begrudgingly pay for the vegan "chicken" up-charge when ordering online - which is just wrong given the cost factor between real vs. vegan chicken. So, when this location runs out of what I paid extra for, my wrap is just filled with extra beans. First world problems, but still kind of annoying. When I order online, I always provide for an extra ten minutes as this location is notoriously slow. Good fast food, when its made right.

I love tropical smoothie but they seem to be hit or miss. I usually go to the one in high point but decided to try put this one. Smoothies werent blended at all. Still had chuncks of berries and ice chunks that didnt even fit through the straw. Didnt want to have to chew my smoothie or pick berry skin out of my teeth. Really disappointed.

Pretty good smoothies, I got the Açaí smoothie and the star fruit smoothie. The açaí was sweet and tasted mostly like bananas (you know how bananas are.I also got the Hawaiian chicken wrap. It wasn’t bad; a little messy but that’s on me. The service was ok. We were first in line, last served. In fact, they had an order made for someone who called one in and wasn’t there made before ours. Also I have some concerns about the general cleanliness of the kitchen area. Overall it was pretty good and our server was helpful and patient.

Love Tropical Smoothie, but not this one. Every time I come here they are ridiculously slow. I was here for lunch recently they had several people working and only 2 people in front of me. When I say in front of me I mean they had ordered and were waiting when I arrived. Took 15+ minutes for my order to be made. I could have gone back and made it faster myself or driven across town to another location and gotten it faster there. Not sure what is going on, but you should avoid this location.

I love tropical smoothie but this new garden location is AWFUL. We ordered delivery and they forgot 5 smoothies and they do not answer the phone. Young, rude employees with no customer service skills whatsoever. Like I said, love the smoothies but this location would be better run by a toddler.

Haven’t been to this location in a few weeks. Usually decent service. Today was awful! 2/28Younger kids working and they were lost. Ordered a wrap and the store was out of wraps, so they put it in a bowl. The store was also out of chips and cookies so I received no side with my meal. Ordered 4 smoothies and my wife couldn’t drink hers (avacalodaafter we got to the park. She said it was awful and this is her favorite smoothie. Before leaving I realized they didn’t put a fork in my bag, so when I asked for one they said, we are all out. After sensing my frustration from waiting for my food and smoothies for around 30min. the employee searched for a fork in multiple locations and finally found one. So when I open my wrap/bowl to eat, I see that it has no sauce on it at all. So I ate my Caribbean Jerk bowl with zero flavor.

I usually like the one on Bridford Pkwy better because they are a little faster. It could be because they are busier than this one. However, there were only two young ladies working while another gentleman was on break so I am definitely cutting them some slack. They were nice and efficient. The place was clean. All the guest practiced socal distancing and wearing masks. Not much else to say.

This is my favorite cold drink spot! They have a great selection of smoothies, Ive never tried to food menu personally but my wife seemed to really like the panini. The rest of us LOVE the smoothies and try a different each visit. If you havnt been here..GO!! u wont be disappointed!

Their smoothies are great and so was the Quesadilla out of the three on my $7.99 box. The other two had nothing in them I will not be ordering them again as my whole family is dissatisfied.

Visited a location today that I dont usually visit and didnt have to best experience. The location had signs on the door as well as inside the facility indicating that masks were required which wasnt a problem but it was disappointing to see that one of the employees who was taking orders and making food wasnt masked. After my husband asked if it were required that the employees wear mask and being told that they were the employee began wearing his mask. The taste and quality of my meal was disappointing although my husband enjoyed his. I would probably avoid visiting this location if Im in the area again.

The smoothies are great! Unfortunately I ordered via their app (5/28/2020and when I showed up to pick up my food, not a single one of the workers was wearing a mask. Im certainly no germaphobe but someone who is in contact with so many members of the public (only 2 of the 11 people inside were wearing masksmust be respectful of others. I left without my food.

Love, love, love this place! I have tried many different smoothies from here and each one has been incredibly delicious. My personal favorite is the Kiwi Quencher, but the Blimey Limey is a close second. I have never ordered food from here, but it looks delicious and I will definitely be trying out a flatbread in the near future.

Yesterday after a good workout. I went to tropical smoothie on Battleground ave in Greensboro NC 12:45, I had placed my order for a peanut butter cup smoothie. There were people who were behind me waiting to place there order.I waiting 15 minutes for my smoothie. I noticedcustomers who were behind placed there order and was getting there order before me. Now it was oriental young lady and a Caucasia lady working. I was very bothered by and there customers looking at me saying how did get there food before you. So I approached the young white lady and I asked how are people getting there food & drinks before me. So she blew me off and I asked for my money back. Note I received outstanding service at the tropical smoothie cafe in Burlington NC. I never go back there and I will tell Family, friends and former military comrades not patronize this business.

Walked in to try this place for the first time ever... and stood there without being greeted at all for 15 minutes. Only two employees staffed, and there were at least 15 people sitting and just waiting for their orders, grumbling to each other about the wait... one lady caught the attention of one of the workers and said she had been placed on hold on the phone and was still on hold 20 minutes later. Completely unprofessional and terrible experience. I didnt even get to try anything because after 30 minutes of waiting and STILL not being greeted or acknowledged, I just walked out. Hire more people.

Food is always fresh and every smoothie Ive had has tasted amazing!! Been coming to this location for months and is by far my favorite place to eat. Such a friendly staff and welcoming environment. Highly recommend!!

Have gotten smoothies here several times and all were good. Today was no different, however they had SIX people working or should I say hanging out with no organization and no clear leader. We were 1 of 3 couples in the store of which one had already gotten their food. We ordered our smoothies and waited and waited. One guy came in and waited 3-4 minutes at the front counter because the cashier up and walked out of the store for no apparent reason. 14 minutes later we got our smoothies. My real rub here is one of the employees who apparently was going on break was making smoothies I thought was ours, but nope. He took those with him. Oh well, better luck next time.

Id dealt with Tammy days ago, who could not have been more helpful & accommodating.Then I went back again with a friend on Thursday (rush day?@8am- it was PACKED with +12 people sitting around waiting for their food/smoothies...we walked across the street to eat instead and came back ~9:30am and the two girls on shift explained to us that @8am, they were absolutely slammed & overwhelmed! & People were so angry! These are young girls under 20 probably making minimum wage.Wheres the manager?Wheres the owner?Wheres the additional employees to handle the insane popularity of this place!Its NEVER ok to attack an individual for a company problem.So, I ordered a custom smoothie and they could NOT have been sweeter or kinder or more helpful. My drink was $2.75 & I left a $4 tip (FYI:I NEVER tip at places like this b/c I feel the employees are simply doing their job, BUT, in this case, They went far BEYOND!)Then after I had my wonderful experience with these kind sweet young girls, another woman who was in there 20 minutes earlier came in and demanded a refund & yelled & screamed at the women & didnt have a receipt and said just give me my money and being so rude. I was horrified and I walked out.why are people so angry?why are people so rude?its never acceptable?:-((

Unfortunately, I had my last visit to Tropical Smoothie Café today. While I have always enjoyed their food, my experience with several of the employees cannot go overlooked. Allow me to digress a bit. I seemingly was able to place my order without incident. While the employee who took my order was less than friendly, I overlooked it given the nature of the establishment. Upon delivering my smoothies, I was handed the wrong order. I informed the individual serving me of the error. Without apologizing, asking to see the receipt or confirming the correct order, he turned around and walked away. Clearly frustrated, I asked the employee to come back over to my table to be sure he got the order correct. He refused to do so which lead to us conversing across the dinning room. He returned to the back and proceeded to "chat" with the other employees while they gawked at me and my family. After 5 minutes, the same gentleman who took my order came over to our table and proceeded to inform me that "the employees have to deal with a lot of rude people and he would appreciate it if I was nicer (paraphrased)." Ive never experienced such poor customer service in my life. Rather than apologizing for their mistake or opening up a conversation regarding what had transpired, he immediately placed the blame on me. I asked to speak with the manager, but he was in the back having a meeting with a group of individuals. We chose not to waste anymore of our time. As someone who visits Tropical Smoothie 3-4 times per week and has utilized catering multiple times, it is a shame we can no longer take our business there. Fortunately, there are other good alternatives in the area. As a suggestion, I would remediate employees on "basic" customer service using AIDET. In addition, I would avoid confronting patrons who are dinning unless it is to offer an apology or "ask" to explain the nature of our dissatisfaction. The first step in handling a dissatisfied customer is "listening." Its always a pleasure when I treat myself to tropical smoothie cafe. I especially enjoy when Tammy works because she goes the extra mile and has wonderful customer service. I cant afford to go as often as I like but since my first visit I make sure I get there 1-2 times a month. The smoothies are always great and I LOVE the Thai steak tacos!!!!

Waited at least 20 minutes in line before anybody got to me. It was a slow day. They messed up a guys smoothie. Another guy been waiting for his smoothie way before I got there. And Ive been there for 30 minutes already. I felt like the employees ignore the fact I was there and havent help me out. I just walked out. Employees are slow and rude. Theres only one guy thats actually working. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Sucks because I USED to like this place.
