Trois Cent Onze in San Juan
Description
Privilege
Perfect food, cocktails and service. French cooking at its best.
An explosion of flavor in every bite
Extraordinary service and equally amazing food. I have been to 311 plenty of times and they never fail to amaze.
MoreIncredible food and service. Lovely ambiance
The service and food are both outstanding.
Food is amazing! Highly recommended
We had a really nice night here. With the reservation-only system, its very calm inside, perhaps 30% occupancy. Food was exceptional---a classic coq au vin, and my duck breast was perfectly cooked. Vegetable sides nicely seasoned and cooked. Service was professional, helpful with just the right level of attentiveness. My only small gripe would be that a slightly deeper list of by-the-glass wines would have been nice---the three or four bottles we wouldve wanted for the good wouldve been too much! Oh, and they have a nice Tokaji on the dessert wine list.
MoreI went to Trois Cent Onze for my birthday. The drinks, the food and the service were excellent! The duck was the best Ive ever had. Would definitely go back!
MoreService at its highest level, nice specials and classic french food
Great dinnerGood serviceEscargot and chicken liver were yummy
Quiet, very pleasant, welcoming ambiancethat allows you to enjoy the restaurant and thefood. Great wait staff. Never felt rushed at any time during the meal and actually, my husband for the first 20-30 minutes was out of the restaurant trying to locate our Uber driver because he had lefthis phone in the car. The wine was outstanding, and they had a fantastic selection. We drank abottle of 2015 Chateau Bel Air Gloria with ourmeal that was delicious. Hubby and I split theterrine of the day that was yummy. Twoentrees, Roasted breast of duck cookedmedium rare and beef filet. both wereoutstanding. The chocolate mousse served inpastry lightly sugared and fried was out of thisworld. We would definitely go again as itrivaled some of the best food we have had inother major city. Gracias!
MoreExceptional food, service and the ambiance is ideal for a romantic evening. A must go.
MoreExcellent experience. Great food...highly recommend the sword fish and the chocolate mousse.
MoreIncredible food. Staff were wonderful. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you for a lovely evening.
MoreGreat French bistro. The 5 of us had a really enjoyable meal!
We were celebrating our anniversary and are happy with our decision to celebrate here. We had a leisurely dinner that was delicious. I had duck. My husband had beef tenderloin. Both were cooked perfectly. The French onion soup was hot and flavorful. The charcuterie board was huge. The dark chocolate mousse was plentiful enough to share. I highly recommend.
MoreRude staff especially that Carolina woman. The staff was so snooty and the food was just mediocre. Overpriced and not worth it.
MoreCannot say enough good things about this restaurant. From the service to the atmosphere to the food it was excellent. Got the soup of the day which was a white bean soup with truffle oil, the pork risotto and finished off with a lavender Creme Bruleé. Probably one of the best restaurants we ate at in all of Puerto Rico.
MoreI spent 8 years in Montreal so I like to think I know a thing or two about French food. This place did not disappoint. Its old fashioned no frills really really good French cooking. It was our best meal on the island so far and weve been here over a week. The Coq au Vin was one of the best 3 chicken dishes of my life. The only very minor gripe is the bread needed more color. The owner personally sat us on the table and the service was very attentive.
MoreDelicious food in the heart of old San Juan. Reasonable price for French cuisine restaurant. The only only thing is that they must have French music during dinner it would give the place better ambiance .
MoreWe came by recommendation and tried a lot of different plates. All were perfectly prepared and gave a sense of place for the French cuisine in PR. Wine list is very nice, even for by the glass options.
MoreFrench food in Puerto Rico?? Why not? This place did NOT disappoint. The escargot were incredible. So was the duck and the caramelized pear salad. Its a small, quaint place right in the middle of Old San Juan. I would have never imagined wed go for French food during our vacation in Puerto Rico, but were very glad we did. Highly recommend it.
MoreEscargot was amazing, lentil soup great, then Duck with the potatoes, wife had a mushroom risotto with walnuts, amazing.Chocolate Mousse and Crepes Suzette were delicious. Definitely will be back and recommend to friends.
MoreEverything about this meal was magical. The food was amazing, the setting is beautiful and the service was top notch.
MoreDelicious meal. Every course was really good. Started with escargot and beef tartar. I could have eaten 5 serving of escargot it was so good. The tartar was pretty good but my partner ordered it, its not really something Im interested in. I enjoyed it but wouldnt order it again. I had the filet mignon and it was impeccable. Cooked to perfection, plated in a delightful sauce. Our daughters split the chicken dish "Cow au Vin" it was very good, they were happy with it. We shared two desserts that were both very good. I really enjoyed our meal there and would do it again and order the same thing
MoreGood wine, great service, fine dining. Food was excellent. Thank you Trois Cent Onze.
MoreAn exceptional dining experience 💯 Great food, great ambience. 🍽 Would highly recommend if visiting San Juan.
MoreI don’t usually leave negative reviews but this definitely deserves one . We arrived in Puerto Rico particularly Old San Juan and since it was our anniversary we decided to treat ourselves and go for a nice dinner , we come across Trois cent onze and decided to give it a try. Upon arriving we were greeted , had our temps checked and given hand sanitizer then was seated , customer service was good the food was sub par but what brings me to writing this review is after we had paid , tipped and left the restaurant the day after I check my account and they decided to write in their own tip which was $15 extra, now I know I am a tourist and you might have thought you could get one over my head but this is entirely unacceptable if you want your guests to trust your business and return this is NOT the way to do it. I suggest everyone watch out if they don’t like the tip you give them they will write in their own. Not good for being in a tourist filled area I will not be returning. EVER.
MoreService and food is amazing! Order the duck, my fave. Love the ambience of this place.
MoreThe food was delicious. The entire staff was friendly and service was great. Our waiter Victor was so helpful with the menu. Overall an awesome experience, very impressed!
MorePerfect first date dinner! We had the perfect table! The staff is great!
Absolute gem. Drinks were cold, food was hot. Service was outstanding. If I ever repeated vacation to the same town I would be back for sure!If you don’t understand culture...don’t Wright bad reviews because of your ignorance just go back to the cruise ship you came on. Thanks!
MoreMy husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant while enjoying a stroll along the streets of old San Juan. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a glass of wine and some cocktails. We also decided to try the escargot- very delicious! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a very relaxing atmosphere, which is a nice change to all the hustle and bustle outside.
MoreThe decor is lovely. Very romantic and distinctive. The service was fine albeit slow. We waited 20-30 minutes for our main courses after we finished our appetizers, and the air temperature in the restaurant was too hot. The food quality ranged from good—the coq a vin was flavorful and hearty—to almost inedible—the chicken breast was dry and almost completely devoid of flavor, and the shrimp appetizer included dollops of disgusting goop, the composition of which was unknown to the waiter. By and large, the food quality was nowhere near good enough to warrant a return visit. Quite disappointing.
MoreAmazing experience!! I came here with my wife for a date night and loved the ambiance. Our waiter Gabriel was very kind and helpful. Everything that we ate was good. Best escargot that we have ever tried!! We also recommend the quiche, the boulabaise and the duck breast. Will come back!! Thank you!!
MoreEscargot was so flavorful. Salmon was nice and crisp. Surprisingly Puerto Rico has some really good French food. I would go back..
MoreLovely French fare with a delightful staff. Many dishes you would expect including escargot and coq au vin. The food and atmosphere are worth the prices.
MoreBrilliant food and better service. An experience worth having.
Not impressed, quite pricey ,ordered a glass of wine Albarino and it was from Chile.I had a cod fillet with sauce that didnt have much flavour. Will not go back.
MoreCute little Bistro, with a dimly lit dining room. Food was good. Portions were small but flavor was there. The escargot had great flavor, but wasnt served in the shell, which was weird. The foie gras was a very tiny portion, and could have used a contrasting sweet element, but the piece of foie itself was cooked perfectly and tasted heavenly. The only real complaint was the prices were a little high for the surrounding area.
MoreWent here while in PR on our anniversary. The food was great, except my chicken was slightly cold. No champagne by the glass, and the bottles are all over a hundred pretty much. Didnt want a bottle because afterwards I planned on walking around. Service was great and they did a little something special for our anniversary by lighting a strawberry on fire with a sparkler, was very kind of them. Would recommend.
MoreVery good but not great. That may seem like an odd distinction but let me explain. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good however they suffer from being surrounded by a couple great restaurants. The martinis are good but nothing special. The dessert is excellent. Dinners were tasty but not amazing. Youll leave happy if you go, but youll know you could have done a little better within the same block at those prices.
MoreE and I enjoy visiting this restaurant each time we return to Puerto Rico!! Delicious inventive food choices, lovely presentations, and a courteous, friendly atmosphere equal a prime dining experience.
MoreThis place is really expensive and the portions are small but the food is delicious and the service was great.
MoreAs someone who has been in France I can tell you how French cuisine is supposed to look and taste like. Trois was ringing some bells but it didnt quite take me back when I was in France, the food was nicely presented but it missed some of the fundamental flavors and textures, also the portions are small for the price they charge, and its not cheap, for four persons the check came for 270 including tip.
MoreOne of the best meals I have had in a long time. Food, service, wine, ambiance, music - all 100% Wonderful. Highly recommend.
MoreAddictively charming. I went in for a cocktail and went back for dinner the following evening. The staff was friendly and professional. I dined alone and was seated in the best table for people watching. I had escargot and sea bass with asparagus. The sea bass was well prepared but oddly... the asparagus was the best thing I had. Their wine selection was thoughtful. My only complaint was a bossy loud table of tourists who were seated next to me but theres hardly anything the restaurant could do about that. A fantastic place for a romantic dinner.
MoreI thought this restaurant was fantastic having served beautifully crafted, delicious food. You can tell the chef takes pride in his preparations. The wine list isnt extensive, though it does have some decent selections. If you are in a rush, this isnt your place; its perfect for conversation and relaxing. You wont be disappointed.
MoreFood-wise, this may be one of the best restaurants I have EVER been to. We made a reservation in advance, which is recommended. Every course was excellent, and the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect, without being too over-the-top. Considering the quality of the meal, this place is a downright bargain! The service and the time between courses was way too slow, but we discovered thats the norm for most places in Old San Juan (everyone is on "Island time").
MoreHave gone many times and have recomended to many people. Try the specials. At night the lamps transform it into a faity-tale looking place. The owners are warm and genuine. The cuisine is flawless and well thought-out. Price versus quality makes this a winner.
