One classic restaurant in Zagreb that now have moved down to Kaptol. Croatian food served with quality and class. Im so glad I found it again. Perfect cooked sea bass merged with potatoes and herbes paired with excelent wine and good service in this cosy wine cellar.

Food and service was beyond expectation. Cant make any recommendations as the menu changes daily. Just do it. One of our best experiences in our food tour through Croatia!

This little restaurant is indeed a hidden gem as other reviewers have said. We were welcomed with a warm smile by Zdravko our host. We asked for a recommendation on wine and the Croatian white he selected was one of the best we’d had anywhere. There was a good selection of dishes for that day including non-vegetarian and meat options. Our friend chose the pasta with truffles, I chose the tomato soup and Stephanie the grilled cheese as starters. All were excellent. My sea bass with cauliflower was wonderful as was the pork medallions. We shared the panacotta cheese deserts which were also excellent. The ambience very pleasant, the service friendly and warm and the prices really good. We all agreed highly recommended.

Small quaint Italian restaurant. Really good service and good food

We were here on a quiet Tuesday night. Service was great and friendly, and in English as we are English speakers. We enjoyed their beer 🍺 on tap Affligem and their wine 🍷 from Vina Laguna. Their seafood plate, charcuterie, and lamb were also great. We were able to sit outside, under the stone arch of their building, constructed in the 1400’s we were told by our waiter.

Great food, really quite generous portions, similar to what we would get in Australia for the same price and quality. Food very tasty, modern presentation of traditional food. Quite busy by 8pm with limited wait staff, so just need to be patient. Very friendly service

We couldnt get waiters attention whatsoever for over 10 minutes upon arrival. The place is very dark and boringly furnished which wouldnt be an issue if we were given a chance to order drinks and food in a timely manner.

Excellent little hidden restaurant close by the historic gate and virgin Mary statue. Wonderful ambiance and friendly staff. Undeniably great food in a city of excellent food! We ordered the grilled cheese, prawns and tuna steak, perfect portions and high quality food at reasonable prices. Plus the place has tons of character. I would highly recommend this restaurant as a perfect tucked away gem.

Great wine list, but the food was bland, the portions incredibly small, and the price insanely high. €25 for 125g of duck breast and a few table spoons of vegetables, and one glass of wine. Three stars because the wine list really was awesome. Go for the wine but stay away from the food.

Our best meal in Zagreb, and weve had a few...A quaint place with excellent food. Its barely noticeable, as everyones attention is on the nearby Stone Gate. Look for the chalkboard outside. My wife had a delicious mango and shrimp risotto, and I had a pork tenderloin. Prior to that we ordered the soup of the day, tomato drizzled with pesto. Along with two glasses of white, our bill came to 342kn ($53). A very nice waiter served our food promptly.

Quaint gem near the Stone Gate, cosy ambience. Be prepared for slightly slower service, but the food is excellent. We ordered the beef carpaccio, pork tenderloin and risotto with prawn and mango that was so satisfying! Reasonable prices but considered slightly more expensive than the usual food.

Really good food! Service was sub optimal but passable. Had to walk up a hill to get to it, just a heads up but not bad at all! Like that they change their menu frequently.

This was by far THE BEST meal we had in Zagreb! The restaurant is open during construction, and its absolutely worth the small extra effort it takes to locate them. The menu changes daily and is based upon what is available at the market that day. This means that you will most likely not have the same meal we had, but I can say that both of our meals (shrimp risotto and beefsteakwere delicious and cooked to perfection. As an added bonus, the waitstaff was much more attentive than any of the other restaurants we visited in the city. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a higher-end foodie experience in Zagreb.

Our favorite restaurant in Zagreb. I’d highly recommend you figure out what you want first then let them pick glasses of wine to go with each dish. Every wine and food dish we had was excellent but the Fuci with Truffles was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended!

Charming spot in the upper old town of Zagreb. Its a small space so arrive early or prepare to wait. Dishes are simple, but tasty and prices are above moderate.

Sadly didnt get to eat here. Waitress treat us like nobodies. Asked us to wait 5 minutes to be seated because of tour group inside the restaurant. We waited more than 15 mins because they would rather entertain the Caucasian group tourist that already came out of the restaurant and talking about folic acid and buying table cloth while the rest of the poor customers waited outside in the sun.

I have visited the restaurant twice in the last two months with my family and we were always very pleased about the quality of the food and service. What I really liked is that there is not a very long menu and thats probably the reason why anything you try from it will be excellent. Grilled cheese called Škripavac is a must try! The service is on a very high level. They sure know what they are serving. Wine selection is also very good. The only thing which is not making this a 5 star review is the toilette. Its not on a level on which the whole restaurant is - have in mind that the prices are high! Also, introducing a few changes in the menu every few weeks wouldnt be such a bad idea... In overall, very good restaurant in Zagreb with some room for improvement.

This place is outstanding!!! Not only was the service/waitstaff/atmosphere five star but our waiter proceeded to serve us examples of good, better, best local wine tastings, at no charge. Please, if you have a chance to dine here....DO SO.

Interesting place especially for tasting wines (not for me unfortunately- whine menu is enormous.From food point of view its good but not fantastic. Everything was tasty, nothing special through.The older waiter is real professional and its pleasure to be served by him.

This place is seriously amazing. The waiter was very gentle and poised and helped us pick wines that suited our taste. The food was beyond delicious, we ordered the grilled cheese with truffles after reading the reviews here and we were very happy with our pick. The mango and shrimp risotto was also delicious as was the duck breast. I also recommend the 3 chocolates cake.

My waiter was the nicest, sweetest guy! The restaurant is in a very interesting, beautiful location. The food was good. Fish has some bones and scales. Dessert = incredible! Delicious wine too.

The sommelier is the best part of this restaurant. Bornstein wine shop recommended this place to us and we were not disappointed. All the food was excellent as was the wine. Listen to the sommeliers recommendations on both food and wine.

Comfortable environment, friendly service, i has seebass spinach and it was exceptional. Crusty skin yet juicy inside. Dessert was delicious too :totally worth it for the price.
