Trift Bridge - Bridge in Stuttgart, Germany
Beautiful place 🥰
Beautiful place and worth driving all the way there!
Great place lovely staff beautiful scenery
Absolutely amazing place to be. 1.5 hrs extremely hard walk to get there! Then going down, not easy too. For someone who hike lots it will be easier but I sit at the desk every day, so found this quite difficult. I loved it but would I do it again - my answer is NO. I was late for the gondola so had additional 2.5 hrs difficult walk. Nearly cried, my feet refused to walk few times - 6 hrs hard hike for someone who does not hike at all.To cross the suspension bridge is quite scary but it feels great when you do. Overall the experience is amazing, but less difficult hike next time for me 😊
Awesome experience with a hike suitable for families. Beautiful view of the melting Thrift glacier.
Much fun, do it!
Amazing!
One of the most beautiful places a saw, amasing
From Triftbahn cable car station, you can park your car for 5 Swiss Fr.15 min on the gondolas then you start your trekking, little ice on the trail.1 hour and half to go and 1 and half to go back!when you buy your cable car tickets make sure you got enough time for go and return, for pictures, lunch!
Triftbrucke is a bridge between the two side of the valley and offers unique view on Glaciers. The bridge can be reached with an approximately 1 hour 30 minutes hike on a T2 level hiking path (Familienweg). In order to go up and down from Unter trift station you would need to take the Triftbahn. I suggest to buy the tickets online and in advance due to the high volume of visitors on sunny weekends. The seilbahn is most of the time fully booked.
Worrh every drop of sweat you leave to the path. Just amazing place. Views are just super all the way. Can be dangerous when raiming. Even in dry weather the path can be slippery. You need good shoes and at last 3.5...4 hours to see the place
Its a steep climb with rocky and at times very narrow pathways. Wear good shoes! The views on the tip from the bridge are amazing.
It was a tough hike but well worth the effort. The views from the bridge and all the way along the hike were breathtaking. The ascent to the bridge is difficult because there are a lot of thin paths and you often need to clamber over rocks but you just have to pay attention to where you put your feet and know that you will be rewarded at the end with unparalleled views.
We took the hike road from the base station to the triftbrücke, quite the experience! Prepare well because its a challenging climb, it was my first hike ever but it was pretty fun. You could take the gondola up to the station at the hydro station which will shave off about 2 hours of hiking up or 4 hours of your total trip. From the station tot the bridge was about an hour of pretty fun but challenging climbing. Once at the bridge the views are awesome! Im afraid of heights so the bridge was not easy for me to pass but i did it anyway. The lake and the glacier are breathtaking and the whole scenery was just amazing!
Amazing hike to the thrift bridge, cabin up costs around 25chf i suggest to order ticket online beacuase cabin is small and can only take few people. From the cabin station to the bridge its about hour and half, where you can see beautifull glacier and lake under it. We had to walk all the way down on our own, as we didnt book ticket down up front and ticket were sold out. Decent is quite steep at some parts there are chains to help you descent. Would go again one day.
Nice hike. Book trift gondola in advance
Nice hiking path which can be a bit challenging for complete beginners. The bridge is a bit crowded but the view over the lake and glacier is amazing.
Beautiful place with medium difficulty level, advance cable car booking recommended.
Wonderful hike to the bridge. Highly recommended. The bridge itself is also anmazing. Nice view of a lake and the mountains along the short walk to another side. The way could be tough, when its wet since the rocks will be slippery to walk on.
Nice and challenging hike to see the Trift suspension bridge and Trift glacier. The hike starts at the top of the Triftbahn cable car station and is 3.3km to the bridge. The path is a well-trodden path with rocky sections with rock steps that you have to climb up. Good hiking shoes and poles are recommended. The hike is mostly uphill and takes 1h30 min to get to the bridge at a moderate pace. It took me 1h10 min to walk the 3.3km back (downhillto the cable car. I booked my tickets for the cable car online and had to book a time to go up and to descend. Make sure you leave enough time to hike back from the bridge to the cable car! I was only able to book cable car times that left me 3h at the top - so I only spent about 15 min at the bridge and glacier. I would suggest leaving at least 4 hours at the top to have a more leisurely visit. The suspension bridge is about 100m across the gorge and is quite solid. You can walk across and spend time on the other side before heading back. Great view of the Trift Glacier from the bridge. Definitely worth the hike!
Amazing hike! One of the best so far.Took the route without the cable car. Took us around 3 hours to the bridge, 3 hours back. Kinda hard walk but really nice. With the cable car it should be easy and can be done by almost anyone.Parking exactly at the Cable, routes well marked.
Breathtaking landscape after a steep hike. The ambience and beauty is worth the trekking effort. Its the only suspension bridge in Swiss and will givd the chills while crossing. The view of the triftsee lake is majestic and will captivate your imagination. Should start early in morning as the ropeway closes early.
You can reach it by 1.5 hour walk up (quite a lot of walk on rocky pathfrom Triftbahn end station, but it is woth it! Very nice view of a lake and melting ice.. river.. great! It is possible to go back on foot without Triftbahn, but it is 2.5 hours additionally from the Trifthahn end station - I took a route back on foot starting behind the station and managed. There is yet another route down on the other side of the valey, but the rocks scared me a bit ;Google maps could be improved to show these routes - currently there is a bug showing 5-10mins down, probably by Triftbahn, definitely not on foot.
One of the best adventure in my life and very beautiful and excellent place for visiting. Highly recommending Trift bridge in Switzerland to everyone
Beautiful site with view on glacier. Bridge is cool to cross and walk back but somewhat pointless unless you take a longer hike.
Amazing atmosphere, stunning place with beautiful views on the glacier, lake and into the mountains. Nice hike up and down.
Perfect, shortish hike to the trift bridge (Be aware that it almost only goes up). Amazing nature and view at the bridge. Great restaurant at the cable car station. If you have time you should take a drink there and enjoy the view.
I originally found this bridge on google maps and just had to experience it for myself! We arrived a bit late (around noonand the lady warned us that we could miss the cable car on our way down since bad weather was on the way. (That would mean an extra 2-3 hours of hiking. We decided to take the chance and so glad we did. The high altitude was definitely noticeable after our cable car ride up to the starting point. The weather started out warm, but by the time we reached the top, the wind was blowing so hard and it was spitting rain. Crossing the swaying bridge was no easy feat! Next time, we’d like to continue on to the hotel at the top of the mountain. Also, please stay on the track. (There are no shortcuts!!)
Little steep hike to the hanging bridge. Bring very good shoes (sneakers wont doto do this hike. The views from the bridge are breathtaking.
Enjoyable one day hike, can be quite busy during the high season. There is a restaurant a bit above the bridge. Can be tricky to reach with small kids, as there are some steep areas and average fitness level is required. If you go there, consider reaching the hutte and stay over night.
The bridge is great with a fantastic view of the lake and glacier. But the walk up was a challenge (but beautiful), especially when it is 30 degrees. The information says 1,5 hour up and 1 hour down. We didn’t make it took us 3,5 to return to Thriftbahn and missed our cablecar down. Thanks to the nice women who help us on a later one.
It is the most wonderful experience when you actually get there. Choose a clear day to go there. You will need a good pair of shoes. Start early and be safe.
Requires advanced cable car booking. Later 1-2h hiking - a bit narrow paths. Finally nice view :)
The bridge was moving due to hard wind when we passed. Had to hold steady with both hands. But what a thrill!
Absolutely speechless. We hiked all the way from Nessental-Triftbahn (where the cable car startsup to the bridge itself, which took us about 3 and a half hours. The wind was so strong today but just hold on while you cross the bridge and youll be absolutely fine!
Pleasant hike with 2 difficulty levels. Amazing view of the glacier from the bridge. They were drilling into the sides of the bridge when we went, initial construction work for a dam there i gather. Be prepared for loud machines. Overall still beautiful. Take care to check the seasonal opening hours of the cable car. If you miss it, its another 2hr hike through the forest to get back to the cable car station/parking spots. There is a family restaurant in the last leg of this 2hr hike.
The trek to the bridge will take about 1.5 hrs and the same back, if you decide to take the trail to the trift hut the estimated times on the signs are severely low it took us another 1.5 hrs and the estimate was 40 min. This is concern because the lift closes very punctual at 4pm and if you get there any later you will be walking down.Another note is that you need to purchase your return ticket for a certain time to make sure you get a ride back.
Excellent attraction for those who can climb 300 vertical meters in about 1,5 - 2 hours from the cable car station, and then back. Make sure to allow 4 hours between booked uphill and downhill cable car rides to do the hike comfortably.
Great view and experience. The walking path to the bridge is very nice and not difficult, but it is better to have mountain shoes. The alpine route to the Trift Hütte require good equipment and well trained
Nice walking. Not too hard. 1.5hours up in easy tempo. And 3.5 hours down without lift. Great walking: 11.5km, 1km elevation
Amazing place, really nice landscapes. You can do it by walk (like 4 hs to go upor by cableway plus a walk of 2 hs, but the last call to go down is at 16 hs and the price was not so much.
Simply spectacular! Totally worth the 1.5 hike from the cable cars. The Trift Bridge offers breathtaking views but its definitely not for the faint hearted! Get there well early and remember to book your cable car ride back or you are facing a 2 hour hike back to parking lot!!!
Very nice place, even for beginners worth to get up to the bridge.
Beautifull place . The walk is not that easy if you are not that sporty
Its a small beautiful hike, 1.5hrs, from cable car stop to bridge. Seat, relax with view of brimful valley. Please note that, u need to make reservations for cable car ride. I did that on spot in morning. But almost all late return rides were booked.
Beautiful hike from the Triftbahn. I would highly recommend this fairly easy hike if youre in the region. Reaching it from Lucerne was easy.
Worth the hike up. Great experience. Wear proper shoes.
Beautiful hike and once you reach the bridge, better get ready to stay speechless for a few minutes while you contemplate the mountains and the color of the glacier water resting in the lake beneath the bridge
Fascinating and beautiful place. The hike to get there isnt easy, but definitely rewarding. The views are stunning, the area quite peaceful - depending on the number of hikers. I recommend heading up early. The cable car to get to the starting point of the hike is very small - 8 people only - and a reservation is recommended.
Absolutely stunning and amazing. Everything from the scenic drive to get there, the cable car ride and sitting looking overlooking the lake and the bridge
