Trial Bay Gaol Beach - National park in Kempsey, Australia
Trial Bay Gaol Beach in Kempsey
Description
Privilege
Kangaroos sometimes dip their feet in the water here...! 👏👏👏 Also, it can be so refreshing to walk into town through the water! 😃
MoreHad a birthday lunch at the kiosk restaurant, 80% of tables were full. Unfortunately the wait staff were a little under manned but were able to get the orders to the customers efficiently. Great views and relaxing atmosphere, a nice place to come unwind.
MoreParadise
What a little gem, a treasure we are privileged to have on the east coast
We stayed at the campground, beach access, ammenities for day visitors as well. Bbq and picnic area, the water is pretty warm compared to other places, did a bit of snorkelling as well. Very calm water perfect for kids.
MoreBest town in nsw hands down
Lovely little waterflow beside the breakwater wall next to trial Bay beach
Great historical buildings
Great for little ones, mostly sheltered. Shallow, has some good waves near the rocks
MoreBeautiful stop over .. spectacular tidal currents in the bay . Good facilities.. Thank you to
MoreFabulous beach, sheltered swimming with clear water, easy parking and shade under the trees. Excellent for kids.
More💗💗💗 this beach! Perfect for lazing, little kids and water board activities that dont require waves. Lots of beach space so you never feel crowded. Its not a patrolled beach but is right next to camp grounds - altho you cant access camp grounds toilets or shower. Theres a little coffee van who does ice cream, pies & sausage rolls - so not as well catered for but TBH its part of its laid back charm
MoreGreat beach, easy access, lots of kangaroos around. Great place for children as the sea is calm and water is shallow enough for them to play
MoreGreat, child friendly, warm and mostly shallow water. Sheltered from the prevailing wind, occasional turltles. Awesome for families and watercraft
MoreNice views and campground next to the beach. A lot of kangaroos. Good to visit this place :)
MoreGreat for the kids, just a nice place. I like it as Larggers Point, it has the history of the goal, the Kiosk for food and coffee, also good swimming. Enjoy.
MoreSwallow almost wave free beach. Perfect fot young kids, kayaking & beginners SUPping.
MoreNo one come here I want to keep it to a small group that know
Great off the beaten track beach, secluded and peaceful. Perfect for a great weekend away or a family day out. Close to South west rocks and Gladstone
MoreBeautiful
Beautiful beach , not friendly campground dump point(lock up and need to pay the deposit from the office they took "any notes")
MoreWell worth the effort to visit. Wander the grounds at your leisure. The kangaroo with a Joey in her pouch wasnt worried about us taking photos of her, she came closer as we sat nearby. Very interesting part of Australian history with a great little museum.
MoreAmazing place for family outings!
Our local beach. Never come here. Bay is like a sewer. Theres sharks, sting rays, bluebottles, volcanoes and tsunamis, you would hate it and the drop bears are something awful.
MoreWell protected beach, great for kids
Great views and facilities!
It was beautiful the water was so great. We live in a very beautiful place. We are so lucky.
MoreBeautiful day in paradise
Excellent place for day out. Water very calm clear and shallow. Bbq areas available. Kangaroos around when we left late afternoon.
MoreAwesome for a swim
Like a lake, easy wading for little kids, beautiful
Great place to stop by and learn about a small part of Australian history. Good self guided tour and the look out in the gaol presents some amazing views of South West Rocks.
MoreGreat clear water, the warmth of the water is perfect. You can hire paddle boards and go out on the water.
MoreABSOLUTELY LOVE this campground. It’s a fave of mine. Great stop off on the way to Byron. View is just gorgeous and the Kangaroos aren’t shy. I would suggest booking in advance to not disappoint, the best spots book out fast!
MoreBeautiful area. Havent been into goal yet for a tour. Enquired about camping and was shocked at how expensive the site were per night
MoreFabulous watched the whales, magnificent day
Very good National Park / camp $36.00 a night for power & water, very helpful staff. Thank you Steve.
MorePeople were friendly. Staff very helpful and friendly. Beautiful place.
Great whale watching! Nice place to sit and eat a meal.
Great beach with smaller waves as in a bay area. At southern end is a camping/ caravan ground with Trial Bay Gaol above. From a car park in Arakoon, just before entrance to National Park is a track to the beach where to the north of this track upto the shipwreck near South West Rocks is a unleashed dog area of the beach. Great place for kids and dogs. Good for swimming, walking and fishing.
MoreGreat, protected beach to bring the kiddies. Shallow for a long way and very clean water. Long beach, good for a stroll or run as the sunsets are great over the bay.
MoreEven after torrential rain the week before tje beach was still beautiful for a swim.
MoreSurrounding area could do with better access to beach.
Great place for kids to swim. Very calm warm waters. The historic Gaol interesting to walk around.
MoreStunning! Very beautiful place. Great amenities and sites. Couple of lovely walks with great views. Good bay for a swim. The Goal is very much worth a look!
MoreLove this area. So many choices for swimming, fishing, walking or on a wave ski.
A beautiful place. But lack of park maintenance. Very poorly run...
Great views and swimming, perfect spot for group picnics
Always relaxing. The swell is gentle here more often than not so a perfect place to take the kids for a paddle when the breaks are too big in south West Rocks. One of my favourite places.
MoreSimply sublime. Open to both the public and campers at the National Park, this spot is absolutely gorgeous. A very popular location.
