Cultural museum in a historic fort showcasing vintage household items & tools used in everyday life.
An eclectic mix of memorabilia and artifacts.
Nice to visit
Interesting things from the past. Kids learn a lot ,grandparent remembered most of them
Great experience, diving into the 200 years history of the area! Highly recommend!
Perfect showcase of old items used more than 50 years ago
Nice,History of the region. Nostalgic.
Really nice small display of old Akko history, lots of neat collections... Definitely worth an hour of your time!
Very interesting display of the old life in old Galilee.
Beautiful.collection of artifacts from historical Akko.
Beautiful museum in a beautiful location. I have frequently visited Old Acre over many years and have somehow missed this little gem of a museum up until now.Make the effort to find it and you will be well rewarded!
Great museum, must visit while in Acres.Plenty of exactions of ancient crafts, toys, furnitures etc.Includ in the combined card to knights hall.
pretty interesting, I would recommend anyone to go there, its human history after all.
Lovely small museum with antique and old crafts and home items collections. Recomended
Its good if you want to see the stuff of people in Israel used to use - daily usage.
So much to see about Israeli life of years gone by.
If you have anything else to do, just skip this museum. Its more a collection of old stuff scattered around, than an actual exhibition with anything to learn from. Other than a piece of nostalgia, we didnt find anything there worth our time and money...
The Ethnographic Museum "Treasures in the Walls" is a remarkable museum located inside the north-eastern walls of old Acre. The walls were initially built by the Ottoman ruler of the areaAhmed Al-Jazzar Pasha after Napoleon´s attempt to conquerthe city in-1779.The museum hold a beautiful and rare collection which gives an insight into the fabric of life in the Galilee during the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The historic building, includes a unique atmosphere that adds to the visitors enjoyment of the wide variety of articles on display.A must see site for every one who visits Acra!
Interesting, beautyfull collection.
Amazing place and highly recommended. It is advisable to travel with a guide and for those who cannot, it is possible to get a multimedia device with explanations
A view of the las century. For me it was going down memory lane.
Went there because it was included in the ticket. Cute ethnic museum, but wouldnt go there just for the museum.
A very nice small museum showing how simple the world was once before the age of electricity.
Mess. No museum.Wonderful space in the wall however. Great to be in.
Nice staff but theirs no narativ to it
An interesting collection of items from various time periods, more modern than not, doesnt take long to see.
Nice museum, with a lot of old tools, houshold items, toys form the beginnimg of last Century.
Small museum but wonderfully displayed and nicely done.
I visited it since it was included in the ticket for the other attractions but not worth going.
I found everything very interesting. Its a museum with old clothes, accessories, tools and other objects. If you like old stuff, its a nice place to spend some minutes.
A nice museum with some nice collections. A bit dusty and it has somewhat of a fleamarket feeling to it. Surprisingly, there are some very rare and valuable stamps on display there.
Antiques from Ottoman period
Its a very special historical place. There are several sites to see in this area, which can be reached by crossing the market.Ticket price however, is not justified. You are also required to pay to pee.
This is a collection of artifacts from the early 1900s and a bit before, showing how early immigrants to the pre-state land of Israel lived and worked.
If you have spare time and you have bought the combined ticket, go for it. Otherwise, don’t waste your time.
Lots of everyday items with so-so explanations. Go if you buy the combined ticket, otherwise dont bother.
Nice place with stuff from last century, you feel like youre again at grandpas place.
Its a quaint and quiet place, set back from the hustle and bustle of other tourist sites with friendly staff who give a beautiful perspective of 1910s Acre.
Here I saw items like in the home of my childhoodpure nostalgia for Jews and will be interesting for all others
Nice what is hidden in this wall. A lot of things I know and how to handle them, but a lot of things are too old :A good place to visit
I like it. things of our history. very interesting!!!
Recommend to visit this museum. It has very interesting collections.
Not easy to find... nothing special. Plenty of old things, history of living in Israel.
The most comprehensive collection of and installation of living for last 200 years
Nice little museum with lots of odds and ends represented in recreations of different workshops and/or houses. Worth going if you have the multi pass with the citadel.
Beautiful and easy walking through the walls..
Small yet interesting museum, worth a visit. Recommended is the combined ticket.
A really, really nice little museum. On display are old ways of doing stuff, or alternatively how things were being made in the old days.Steal works, wiker buskets, tin folding weaving
Fascinating display of artifacts from the early 1900s on. Great displays of how people lived. Kids loved it, so did the adults. Get it as part of the Akko package.
What a fantastic museum for families with children! Recommend reserving a tour with a guide/actor who portrays shop keeper, pharmacist, and other jobs from the last century. The actor did a wonderful job of telling the stories of what life used to be like in those times, keeping both kids and adults engaged and entertained. Worth every penny spent.
Intresting place. Small exhibit. Nothing overly jaw dropping. Nice.
