Great spot for pints and light snacks. Their nachos are pretty darn good and I even heard that the mayor comes around here!

Facebook page mentions being open until 8 pm on Sundays, and Google says until 7 pm on Sundays. I was travelling today from Great Falls to Calgary via Havre and Medicine Hat, so I had timed things to arrive before 6 pm. As such it was rather unfortunate that I wasnt able to visit today (Sunday July 3, 2022as the "closed" sign was up at 5:45 pm (!). Perhaps a bit more excusable if I showed up within 30 minutes of closing or if there was a message on the Facebook page of an early closure, but I must say that this is highly unusual for Canada - Im far more accustomed to encountering unexpected/unannounced closures of local attractions when visiting developing countries (e.g. the Charles Aznavour museum in Yerevan, the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca...). I had visited (and thoroughly enjoyedHells Basement Brewery on another road trip last year, and was eager to visit another Medicine Hat craft brewery today.

Travois is a great little Micro Brewery and they brew excellent beers! If you’re a connoisseur of good brews, you need to stop into this small little spot! You will not be disappointed! They are under new management and I heard there’s some plans to expand the food menu slightly, however as most of the places in this part of the Hat, they welcome you to order food in if the menu isn’t large enough! George and the rest of the staff are genuine and very friendly, it’s a fantastic mellow environment to hang out!!!

Great beer. Good prices. Friendly service, they even brought water out for our dogs. Cant ask for much else.

Great beer on the line up, the French Pale Lager, Oat Pale Ale and a Belgian Strong Ale. All so good. Now with Pizzas made fresh on the patio, such a great place.

This is an excellent gem in the center of Medicine Hat. It has a very welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and the servings were big. And...I still havent even mentioned the beer which was excellent.

Craft brews were excellent. There isnt much of a choice for food (especially if youre a vegetarian).

Spent the evening enjoying a beautiful patio, with friends and some amazing craft brews! We shared a delicious plate of pulled pork nachos, as well. All fantastic. When it’s a million degrees out, and you’re offered a BEER SLUSH, take it. The Guava Lime is terrific and super refreshing.Also, the staff were welcoming and friendly - knew exactly what we needed! Excited to go back and have the hibiscus mead... mmmmm.An important stop on your downtown patio tour!

Great vibes, awesome staff and amazing beer. Did not have a chance to eat the food but food truucks were about on saturday afternoon. The beermenu is extensive and all great. Staff was quick and courtesy. The venue is modern and welcoming. 6 pack sales, growler fills and merch

What a fantastic spot for a beer and what fantastic beer too. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful and the merch was cool too. The space is nicely renovated and the patio was a great spot on a sunny day. As you would expect from a brewery the best part of Travois was the beer which was outstanding!

Awesome microbrew pub! Love all the beers (and mead), and they have a nice selection of appetizers to complement their offerings. Great atmosphere in a restored million year old building in the heart of downtown. Awesome patio in the summer. Staff are great and the patrons are great to share a pint with. They also allow children unlike some other brewpubs in town. That being said, there rarely are children here, and whenever their are they are very well behaved. Typically just playing on a tablet while their folks get to enjoy a great beer. This is my favorite microbrew pub in Medicine Hat.

The absolute best Brewery to find within Medicine Hat....or, in my opinion, Alberta (probably even Canada). A must visit for any newcomers or a place to revisit as a local!! 🍻

Great service. I like the beer. Good place got me to get my Kombucha on days Wicked Rose is closed. I like the food. Very nice place.

Super friendly staff, nice place, great music and the most important issue - beer is on point! Wide variety of craft beers, I grabbed a flight. Loved the IPA and the Black Forest Porter. Their pretzel was a nice compliment to the lighter beers and came with a lot of salt and cheese on the side (which is always lacking with other pretzels). Highly recommend this place!

The atmosphere is great, the staff are very friendly, and the ale is delicious! I have a couple of their growlers and fill them up every week!

Wonderful craft beer. Love the building and interior design. Talking to other patrons, they said it’s the best pubin town–but they are probably biased!

Good brewery. Tiny brew set up but appears to be set up well. Good selection of beer. The North West Wheat tasted like it had lots of citra hops which gives it wonderful grapefruit notes. There was no beer that had any “wow-this is the best beer ever” factor for me but I loved their brew style and see lots of potential for this brewery. I would like to return next trip to Medicine Hat.

Ive been to Travois three times now and Ive enjoyed it more each time! I love the atmosphere here a lot. It has outdoor seating in the summer and plenty of indoor seating between two levels! The beer selection is constantly changing with new brews and each one has a unique flavour! I especially loved the Biscotti Stout and the Boison Berry Ale. The servers are very friendly (and stylish!and will always help you if you cant decide.

This place was incredible. It was super modern and stylish, making good use of the bones of their historic building. The artwork featured was cool, including a piece inspired by Nickelodeons Rugrats and walls decorated with hilarious quotes merging science and math with beer (a nerds paradise). They have a great location in historic downtown Medicine Hat, and best of all... their beers were delicious! It was hard to choose a favorite.

Out of towner from Calgary stopping through on the way. Just got off the road was looking somewhere to go. Great reviews led me to travois and I wasn’t disappointed! Jordan was steering the ship and was super friendly and inviting! Made mention that it was my birthday and he made sure our group was taken care of it! Love that hospitality. 5* for all the right reasons!

Great Beer!!! Dont miss this place. Have a flight to see what you like best. I had one and had a tough time picking one for a growler to go! The coolest growler bottles, too!

Had a fantastic experience at Travois! I live in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighborhood in the epicenter of craft breweries, and was very impressed by the beer here. Had a paddle of 10 so we could try every beer on offer, and they were all good— the Scottish Export, German Pil, and Nitro Stout in particular. Didn’t catch the name of the guy serving us (red beard, from Langleybut he was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about beer, and also entertained our 2 year old nephew with a game of peek-a-boo. Also loved the decor and art in this place- you can tell lots of love went into the design. The women’s bathroom is way nicer than you’d see at a brewery in Vancouver!I highly recommend Travois- I’d be a regular if I was a Med Hat local.

Great beers on tap in a nice modern downtown brewpub. The staff is great here. I also had a chance to have a look around back and the brewing facility is very clean and organized (good beer is clean equipment). They’re just starting out and already have 10 great beers on tap.

This place is like no other in Medicine Hat. Firstly you walk in and you feel like your in a big city. The building is beautiful! The staff is friendly and the most important part the beer is fantastic! Alot of variety for anybody!

Great brewery. Excellent beer (nice selection and taste). A really nice addition to the Medicine Hat downtown. The interior turned out really nice, lots of exposed brick and wood. One of my favorite new hang out spots.
