Trattoria dal Biassanot - Italian restaurant in Bologna, Italy
Best Tagliatelle we’ve had in Bologna which is saying a lot. Delicate, fresh noodles and savory ragu (bolognese). If you are new to Bolognese cuisine, I recommend the trio first course for a taste of 3 iconic Bolognese foods. You will need a reservation!
Delicious meal and good service. Enjoyed the outdoor dining.
Food was fabulous. They lost our reservation but accommodated us regardless. Professional service. A really great setting. Lively with pacing of food that was perfect.
We were so happy we booked a table for our first night in Bologna, it was a very wet Saturday night. When we arrived the restaurant was fully booked and buzzing. All our food was very tasty and the time between courses was perfect, the service was excellent. My husband made room for pudding and I had a digestive. We felt welcomed and looked after.
Very nice and delicious food. Had the tortellini in broth and it was perfect.
Very cozy and rustic restaurant with excellent food.
Good food. The menu comes with pictures and in english. The tortellini with gorgonzola were delicious. And you can see a city canal near by.
Delicious food, great prices, and excellent service. There’s a wide variety of tortellini on the menu, great wine selection, and a central location in Bologna. We had a lovely meal. Make reservations!!!
The food was delicious and our server was amazing!
The food was so hearty and authentic ! Simple dishes done so well is all i can praise of. The highlight of my evening is definitely the tortellini in brodo. It is by far the best I had comparing to the others. Yes it aint crazy to have hot soup in summer. The meat flavours just bursting in my mouth every time I take a spoon and the broth is delicious. We came without a reservation because our reserved restaurant was closed without notice. But we didnt have to wait long for a table to open up for us. Our server was very sweet and accommodating for us in selecting our wine for the night. Great job and grazia Trattoria dal Biassanot !! We felt so lucky to have our evening there.
The staff is very friendly. Loved the food. The pasta and the lasagna was absolutely delicious.
after we found this trattoria about 10 yrs ago we always come back when we are in Bologna - I strongly recommend a reservation!
It was one of the best restaurant experience that we had with my wife in our Italy holiday. We ordered;Carpaccio: I’m tasting it for the first time. It was a delicious appetizer.Tortelloni di ricotta con gorgonzola e noc.. : It is my favorite pasta that I taste until now in Italy.Panna Cotta: It is my first time again. I like the taste and good thing is they do not use gelatin while making it.Tiramisu: It was delicious and the presentation was unique compared to others that I taste until now.
We came to lunch and we wait 5 minutes to table. We ordered some dishes and all of them so delicious. The service good and kindness. The restaurant clean. We would like to come back
Amazing food and service! Had the best Lasagne of our 10 day trip, it was that good. Ravioli pistachio was also really good, as was the Tagliatelle Ragu. Service was super friendly the whole time, 100% recommend!
Amazing food, really tasty and great service. The waiters were efficient and really kind. I will absolutely recommend this place.
Great Experience, one of the best pastas ever. Clearly recommended! The pasta is just awesome. Also the starters.
A must go place to eat when in Bologna. Delicious freshly made pasta, great drinks menu and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.
very good and polite service.really good food; the misses adored the tortelinni in brodino
Some of the best food I had in Italy. The waiter was patient despite being busy.
Best meal we had in Bologna! We got recommended this place by the hotel as a proper Trattoria representing the cities famous dishes. It didnt disappoint! We were a group of 4 - everyone LOVED their choices and we were able to share a lot. The pastas were all amazing, and I personally had the rabbit which was very nicely cooked and the sauce was deliciously rich and just had the right amount so it didnt overpower everything. The wines were also amazing - it is what I like about a lot of the trattorias - they seem very big on promoting the local wines which are very reasonable price wise and are great to taste as well. This is a super central place, right beside the window that opens to the canal (somewhat of a disappointment I must say as it was dried up!)The staff were great here - if staying in the area definitely visit this place!
The best place in Bologna! Lasagne and tagliatelle al Ragu - delicious! Melon with ham was so good, home wine super tasty 😍 And people are so welcoming, nice and friendly so you feel like you are a guest in your friends house! I will be back for sure ❤️
We had a fantastic experience. The menu was authentic and traditional and exactly what we wanted. For an experience in bologna that has great service and great food. Go here.
Five stars for each category, the food is delicious, staff absolutely nice. Small hint- can be difficult to find a table without reservation.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. Came on recommendation from a good friend. It was everything we were told it would be. Good food, excellent staff and great to meet the chef. Thank you for a great evening. Thanks
Amazing restaurant in Bologna! Highly recommend. Id suggest getting the 3 meal where you can try a bit of everything amazing about bologna. Really affordable as well! Also right next to a little window where you can view the canal ;)
An absolute must visit on this lovely city. Be kind, its always crowded (best to reserve!Delicious all the way around, not cheap but not outrageous either. Place is beautiful and I cant say enough about how authentic the food is! This is great, real Italian cuisine.
Absolutely spectacular food, very friendly service and great location. Highly recommended. Get the panacotta.
We went as a group of from friends.. and had a fantastic time and good service. Had to ask to cool the wine but it was very good. Thx again..
A Bolognese classic, excellent traditional Emiliano cuisine, great primi and secondi piatti, good local wine. Efficient service and convenient location. Reasonable prices. You will eat well and you will feel stuffed when you leave!
Nothing to say about the food which was good but the received treatment was not correspondent. Being aware of the "coberto" policy in Italy, we decided not to consume the bread which was delivered to our table in order to avoid this extra fee, not even opening the bag. When we went to pay and we looked to the bill we asked "Why are we paying the coberto?" And we were told it was for the bread. Then when we said that he could ask his colleague to confirm we did not consume it, he called her and she said that we are paying not only for the bread but also for the service, the cover of the table, the utensils... We find it embarassing to do this to people, which means that people start paying already the moment they sit. When looking for what coberto means online, we found it is a policy from the middle ages, applied to people that sit in a place and consume the food they bring instead of the one of the establishment. This should not be applied nowadays as it is not everyones case. Nowadays this is basically an obligatory tip.
Good food but they trick you. They don’t mention anything about an extra charge of 2,50€ per person that is called “cover” and in Spain, France, and other European countries, the cover is what you pay if you eat the the bread on the table or/and olives. And we returned those things. The guy that was making us pay said it’s for the bread but when we said we returned it then he said “well, it includes other stuff” and it just sounded off. We don’t mind paying those things but being ambiguous is not attractive.
The service was great and all the servers were very attentive. The food that we ordered was mixed grilled meat and you get the whole plate of food pictured above for 17.50 euros per person. We also ordered the pistachio ravioli which was 10 euros and it was very tasty. You get plenty of food for the price you pay for.
One of the best meals we had in Bologna. Got the Tris Bologna, which was not only super delicious. But also allows you to try the tortellini, lasagne, and tagliatelle all in one. Bologna on a plate!
very good food, especially the tagliatelle al ragu! the service is so kind too, i will definitely revisit when im back in bologna!
My family and I had Christmas Day lunch here. Pleasing three young men with large appetites is not easy but we came away having eaten plenty and very satisfied. The food was fantastic, the highlight being the pistachio ravioli. The wine selection was extensive and we chose a regional chianti. Our waitress Elena was wonderful and accommodated my basic Italian. Would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly. Book and enjoy.
Excellent Food, homemade pastas and Tortellini!! Freshly made!! Lovely service.
We came here as part of our food tour. They served up their trio of pasta which included the Bologna classics tortellini in broth, taglatelle a la ragú and lasagna. All of them tasted so good. It was real comfort food and I would love to eat them all again. We had tried some of these dishes in other restaurants, but Trattoria dal Biassanot was the best for us.
Everything was super perfect and the food was beyond my expectation. I cannot express my feeling about this dish just enjoy the taste of the pistachio with every single bite. And the staff were also great super friendly and the guy for our table was a very funny man which makes the atmosphere more warm and welcoming for us.
Absolutely legendary panna cotta...the creaminess, depth of flavour and texture were sublime. The tiramisu was very very good. My girl friend thinks it’s the best in Italy. For main we had the Tris Bologna of Tagliatelle al ragu, Tortellini in brodo di cappone, and Raviolini Bologna ai pistacchi. The tortellini was excellent, coming in a flavoursome yet light broth, highly recommmend. The tagliatelle al ragu and raviolini pistachio were delicious but perhaps lacked that special something we don’t know what and the raviolini was a bit salty. We came back for a 2nd time and had the panna cotta again (still divine and worth more trips), the pink tortellini (very niceand the beef (perfectionand the pink dessert (last picture and sadly a miss).Love this restaurant!
Great experience of Bolognese cuisine! We had a beef carpaccio and selection of local cheeses as starters (BEST CARPACCIO IN MY LIFEand lasagna as the main coupled with the local Cabernet Sauvignon as advised by the waiter. Finished with a delicious homemade tiramisu and a licorice digestivo.Best choice for a dinner in Bologna!
Good food and good service- English speaking wait staff was very helpful in guiding us in our selection. We ended starting with the fried cod fish balls and tried Le trio- a sample of 3 Bologna classics- le tagliatelle, i tortellini e le lasagne al forno. Food was great! As a bonus of you eat outside you can watch people walking by notice the Reno Canal Hidden next to the restaurant.
We love Bologna, and with this being our third visit we thought we would have a change of food Venu. Bologna isnt shirt if good restaurants so where do you go. Trattoria Dal biassanot was close to our hotel so an easy choice, and we were glad we did. We had no reservation but that clear a table and made room. I now we only had a shirt time but the serve was great speedy and friendly. The food was great, I had Passatteli fungi and my wife a ragu. We also down a Strava and a bottle of house red. When we return to Bologna again this will be a restaurant of our choice but we will make a reservation.
We chose the menu with all Bolognese famous dishes: lasagna, ravioli and tagliatelle with ragù. It is a very wise choice to get a taste of all these tasty traditional foods. The raviolini with pistachio specially was exquisite. Totally recommended for a heavy and delicious meal in Bologna.
The location of the retaurant was really good and easy to access from the center of Bologna. There was no air conditioning in the restaurant and the weather was hot so the restaurant got really hot inside. The personel was very helpful and active so food and drinks were easy to order. The inside and outside were really nice looking and clean. Food was good. I ordered traditional Italian soup which I had never tried before so I thought it was suprisingly good. My company liked also their food. My dessert (chocolate cake with mascarponewas very delicious and excelent.
A great placeI chose this restaurant after watching Rick Steins Long Weekends - BolognaIts worth going through the threshold, the food is excellent, the rest lets the pictures say the wordYou will need reservation
This was an amazing meal and a great way for us to end our time he in Bologna. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent, it was a bit more expensive than elsewhere but you cannot fault the quality or the size of the portions. The antipasti came in a very large portion and we chose the pasta three ways main, I would recommend this as each type of pasta was the best I have ever had. Bravo!
our pasta and pork were all great, but grilled vegetables are boring not much taste and bitter, potato good seasoned but a bit salty. desert (zuppa inglesenot special and heavy. "the window " thing just next to the restaurant.
Good dinner at a reasonable price. Pretty standard menu but above the average. This is not fine dining, we are talking pasta and rustic meat dishes, but the service is good, the wine is well priced and the quantity of well cooked food is generous.
This was a fantastic meal from start to finish. We had the a bottle of lambrusco, caprese, taglietelle Al ragu, lasagna, rabbit tiramisu and semifreddo. The only miss was the lasagna as it was overcooked so the lasagna noodles were mooshy. The rabbit was nice and tender and the tiramisu was incredibly good. If you arrive after 8pm expect a wait as it gets busy fast. You can make reservations so that might be a good idea or arrive shortly after they open at 7pm
