Privilege
Highly recommended place. Great stuff, pleasant prices. But first of all is a taste of the dishes! It is amazing. I havent ever eaten such tasty pasta like this. 😍
MoreA jewel in the crown for us three minutes from our hotel. Family run business for 60 years service brilliant extremely friendly and food next to none Highly recommended lovely people
MoreThe seafood spaghetti was fantastic, cooked to perfection. The delicious sauce clinging to the pasta. Gino DiCampo could learn a lot from this venue.Service was brilliant, a full experience, interesting conversation, friendly, attentive owner and nephew.Food, wine, conversation, service, location totally faultless. A must visit !!!Now the negative.......its not open at weekend. I know we will struggle to match this venue.
MoreThe Best Restaurant in Palermo🇮🇹
Okay now seriously. The only thing Im sad for about this place is that we found it the last day of out trip and not sooner. SUPER NICE!!! It was so cozy I cannot!!! The sir that was serving our food knows perfect English and he was so cute and polite !!! The good was excellent, delicious and it was a lot so we were full. The prices are super low so I recommend it 100% It is FABULOUS 😍
MoreGreat local food at a good price. This is a Mom & Dad family restuarant run by the loveliest old couple. Simple decor and food, delicious and reasonably priced. Quiet and cool. Well worth the trip. Highly recommended
MoreWithout hyperbole, this is one of the most enjoyable meals Ive ever had. If the owner recommends the special then you should have it because everything is made with love. No choice but to award 5 stars.
MoreDelicious food, charming owners, great service. A lovely lunch with a group of friends.
MoreSo good food, thats the most important. The place is cozy. The owner is very friendly. Just a perfect place to eat.
MoreBest place we ate at in Palermo!! You have to go here!! Great, lovely service. The food and atmosphere is very simple but in the best way. Ingredients were fresh and all the food was delicious. We were even given free appetizers (panellewhich were great. 100% recommend!
MoreIt was my last day in Sicily after a week riding around the island on mopeds. I picked this restaurant at random on Google maps as it was near my hotel. After seeing a pic online i wanted spaghetti Bolognese.Well after not looking much from the outside and with its odd short opening times. It turned out to be the best place I had eaten in Italy, with a great host. He helped explain everything to us in English. We had the full 4 course experience. Free chickpea flour fritters, spaghetti Bolognese, swordfish & salad, cheese cake to die for, beer & lemoncello for about £25.Make a reservation tho as we felt so lucky to get in as they turned away at least 15 people while we ate.Top tip - get the sisters cheese cake
MoreThe best restaurant experience I got during my stay here. Stuff is very friendly and speak English perfectly.
MoreSuper friendly staff. The owner and a waiter speak fluent english. The bolognese and the swordfish steak are very tasty 🤤 There was also a “surprise” snack while waiting for the main dishes. We’ll visit the place again for sure.
MoreIt was an incredible experience. The food was amazing and I think it was the best spaghetti I have ever eaten. The staff was super nice and they really deserve 5 stars. When you are in Palermo, you have to visit this place.
MoreGreat place with super friendly staff. Small menu but the food is really good for a great price. Our waiter was amazing, explained the items on the Italian menu to us and gave us a complimentary starter of a Sicilian specialty. 5/5, 100% would recommend.
MoreGreat typical Sicilian food, very tasty. The staff is very friendly and attentive.I ate pasta with pomodoro and melanzane and was very good! Recomend it, right next to the train stop
MoreDelicious pasta in a very simple setting. Great value for money. For payment they did take cards, not only cash as older reviews stated.
MoreOne of our best meals in Italy this trip till date, excellent food and service, the pasta Al pomodoro was to die for, so was the grilled sword fish
MoreFantastic restaurant! Warm, friendly and very authentic. Food is great, prices great, service great. Thank you guys, we’ll be back
MoreVery very below average food. I can make better pasta from the supermarket. Owner also tried to charge for bread which he didn’t serve! Don’t go here.
MoreLoved this! Authentic homemade pastas made be he sweetest Italian couple. Great mussel pasta and pesto pasta. Yum desserts as well ❤️
MoreAbsolutely the best pasta in Palermo, both swordfish and gamberi I can recommend 🥰
MoreHad a great experience here, would definitely be back if ever again in Palermo.Great food, and the service was impecable. Our guy was always smiling and very polite. They offered us pannele on the house. The restaurant is family owned from what I understood. The prices are really good and the food is delicious.Strongly recommend.
MoreSo far this is the most authentic trattoria we have visited.- Nothing fancy but lovely, very cozy, authentic vibe- Delicious Sicilian food form fresh (not deep frozenseafood and homemade pasta- Variety of vegetarian food- Polite, friendly and quick service- Pretty affordable pricesThis was our favorite restaurant in Palermo. If you interested in Sicilian trattorias, it is a must see!
MoreDelicious foods served by friendly staff, the place has a good atmosphere.
Wonderful food in a small homie kitchen. I had some local fish which was to die for extraordinarily fresh. If you want a great meal would definitely come here
MoreAfter reading many good reviews, we intended to try this restaurant as soon as we arrived in Palermo but only managed to dine for the lunch on the last day of our two week trip. The staffs are helpful and friendly. We tried spaghetti with clams, spaghetti with squid ink and grilled sword fish steak accompanied by a basket of bread and a bottle of home-made white wine plus a bonus plate of chickpea fritter. All are good but squid ink spaghetti and fish steak stood out. Both are not on the regular menu but they were recommended as off-menu dishes of the day. Squid ink added aromatic savoury seafood taste to perfectly cooked spaghetti. My personal favourite was grilled sword fish. It was cooked to perfection, marinated with olive oil and aromatic herbs, The meat was tender on surface and started to melt in mouth as soon as it was chewed. White wine was served at chilled, not too sour, not too strong, just well-balanced and it exceeded our expectations. Crispy chickpea fritter was also delicious and reminded me of soya-bean fritter from my homeland. Overall, this restaurant lives up to the good reviews and deserves five stars.
MoreI ate there 3 times in a week. Outstanding kitchen and service. The artichoke pasta was to die for. The stick to the roof of your mouth cheesecake was dense and not overly sweet. Outstanding pasta vongole, swordfish, involtini, and calamari. Service was very friendly and helpful. Just a great neighborhood restaurant!
MoreBest place we’ve been to in Palermo so far! The food was great, the service amazing & we felt really comfortable in this trattoria. If you’re looking for cheap, amazing & authentic Italian food that’s the place to go. PS: shout out to the good German skills of the waiter!
MoreVery cheap prices at first but at the end he charged more than we were supposed to pay and he also charged us for the bread. Besides that the pasta was very delicious and the meat was ok but didnt have much spicies. The service was very friendly and kind.
Morethis place is so so nice!! super nice people, super good and honest local food and fantastic atmosphere!! i think its my number one place in palermo and i will 100% come again next time when im back. thanks for the hospitality to me and to the customers!! ken (the japanese guy)
MoreAmazing food! Best pasta we’ve had in Palermo. The owner is very nice and welcoming. We recommend the sword fish pasta! We’ll definetely come back
MoreWe just liked their food so much and appreciated the hospitality of uncle Gabriel during our stay in Palermo last Nov 21. He even offered us orange from his own garden when he knew we were leaving Palermo that night. He wished to meet us again someday somewhere. 😌
MoreI very rarely bother to leave a review, but this place deserves an exception. Palermo is famous for its food. Hence it is even more remarkable that we decided to have dinner twice at this place during our 2-day stay in the city. It was simply EXCELLENT. It is a simple and modest restaurant, with down-to-earth staff who are eager to please without any hint of pretense or fancy presentation. Everything we tried was as good or even better than any meal we had during our journey through Sicily, and we had plenty of great meals. It feels odd to write such a gushing review, and perhaps the place isn`t for everyone, but we absolutely loved it, and will remember our meals there very fondly. When we return to Palermo one day, this is where we will go for our first meal.
Morevery down to earth joint, all fresh and tasty without pushing on salt.cheap enough to make it appreciate even better.u see through the kitchen and all looks shiny.
MoreVery very recommend!Really the most delicious place we ate in Palermo! With good prices aswell.Gabriel was super nice and he can speak 5 languages:)Aciu!
MoreBest dining experience in Palermo. Super delicious food and the service was outstanding :)! Highly recommended
MoreWow wow wow. We didnt expect to get such amazing place. The food is honest, without any fancy things on it, but the price paid was quite reasonable and the food was good. Also five stars for the service
MoreFine place with hearty Sicilian meals that feel home cooked. Service was also really helpful and could speak English better than in most places.
MoreBest place to taste delicious well cooked food, in a really reasonable price. The atmosphere is traditional and the staff so friendly and nice. We ate pasta and fish, drinking local produced wine. Everything was perfect and taste homemade. We visited the place two times in a row.
MoreGood price and perfect staff. They were kind and explained about the tradition and the plates with a perfect english.
MoreWhat we experienced in Trattoria Trapani was everything I wished to find in Italy. A cozy environment, amazing and friendly staff, and delicious local food. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants, if not the best, we visited while in Palermo. It leaves you with a constant feeling of gratitude and the desire to come back!
MoreEasily mine and my girlfriends favourite restaurant during our short stay in Palermo. A real authentic, down to earth gem. Great dishes. Our excellent waiter Gabriel kindly talked us through the menu and gave us some suggestions on the daily specials. Gabriel recommened a unique daily special - a cauliflower pasta dish which was unique and delicious. As well as a more classic prawn pasta dish which was just as nice. Also had panzanelle cooked to perfection. I love Calamari and honestly this was some of the best Ive ever had, so soft and tender. We had laughably cheap rose here sold by the carafe (5 euros for a litrewhich is sourced locally. Its a very a casual setting with fantastic food.
MoreSuper fresh and perfectly cooked swordfish and a delicious tasty perfectly cooked tomato and aubergine spaghetti. Cant be faulted. Lovely staff. Fair price. Empty plates.
MoreQuality price ratio = goodFood:You will get a very well prepared dish. I had the pasta vongole. The pasta has been on the point (a little to saltybut all in all a good meal. The taste of the clam, combined with the vine sauce and the fresh herbs has beed a good combination.Service:Waiter was very friendly, took the time to explain the entire menu and day specials and also came from time to time to check if we would need something.Interior:The only real negativ point for me is the style of the trattoria. Conclusion:Small place, basic but good dishes with a friendly service and everything for a fair price. I just can recommend the place.
MoreAfter arriving me and my family wanted somewhere to eat which isn’t too far as we had just landed and lugging our suitcases along. We were greeted by a gentleman, they were quite busy so he was a bit flustered at first and abrupt. But we were served pretty quickly. Food was better than expected, we shared dishes between 5 of us and it was more than enough of what he recommended. He even gave us the fritters for free as food took longer to prepare.Average about €15pp.
MoreOverrated restaurant. Staff was nice but food was really slow and average. We came in at 7:30 waited for 40 minutes for a shared pasta, apparently they were waiting for more customers to come so they can cook food together, another 40 minutes for my fish stake. They did give us free fritter but if I knew it would take that long, I wont come here. If you dont mind waiting and looking for a cheap meal then thus is your place.
MoreSo my friend and I went here for dinner we ordered spaghetti with mussels and grilled swordfish. We were given bread and a special dish (Im not gonna spoil itbefore our meal came. The pasta portion is quite big and they are very very generous with the mussels and the mussels didnt smell or taste fishy. The dishes are quite good but the biggest highlight is their service. They speak english, some french and maybe some other languages so if youre a tourist and you want a good meal with good service without being confused do come here. Because they will explain the menu to you in english or (maybesome other language you speak. So thank you for the great dinner experience! And the price here is quite good as well
MoreFantastic place! The food is very tasty, generous, and you cant beat the price. Service was also outstanding. Thanks for the great dinner!
MoreI wish I have come here from the start of my holiday in Palermo. Tastiest food I’ve had on my trip. The owner is polite, friendly and the way he talked about the dishes showed his pride in the quality of the dishes at his restaurant. The roasted prawns were so delicious!!! A must try!
