Trattoria Pallottino - Italian restaurant in Florence, Italy
I had Gniocchi gorgonzola, a bottle of water and an espresso for 17€.Lovely place and good food.
Amazing food, great service and reasonable prices (especially for how amazing it tasted). Highlight of my time in Florence. My only regret was not eating here everyday.
Recommended by our tour guide and glad we went. Food was very good. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the staff wasnt so welcoming and friendly - maybe just caught the owner on a bad day, but would still definitely recommend.
Traditional toscanese food in a quiet street.
Excellent ravioli and pasta!!
Food was a disappointment. The main courses were too meat-heavy, no salad, no side at all. The “sides” - steamed vegetables, beans, etc. were also not that good. Most tasteless beans we’ve ever tried - taken out of the can without any seasoning. Overpriced, would not recommend.
We visited on the first and last night of our trip to Florence, and our only regret was not visiting every day of our trip. Hands down our favourite among the restaurants we visited. Completely delicious unpretentious food, cooked beautifully, with very reasonable prices and lovely staff. Will be recommending to anyone we know visiting Florence
This restaurant never fails to disappoint, with delicious food and great quality.
Worst place in Florence. Bad food and overpriced
Lovely restaurant with great food!! The lasagna was delicious and so was the Florentine meat stew.
Beautiful, small, local restaurant with delicious food and wine. We were the only guests in the evening and they made everything specially for us.
The restaurant is a small one and the food is very good
Cozy and cute place in a quiet Street, the food was good and the prices well enough for Florence, I’d highly recommend it for a lovely night. It’s true there is a language barrier but we know is not that easy to learn another one and we appreciate the effort.
Lovely staff, serving a bistecca alla fiorentina that is truly worthy of its name.
Allora, as person who live in Italy, i have to say:For people who care about just quantity, but don’t care about quality too much, is good. Its good for tourists, but for Italian citizens who know about Italian foods, no …As you can see in the answer they gave me, they have very little capacity for customer feedback. It was interesting to me that we also asked them to change our wine, but now I see that this is a problem that another customer had months ago and this problem has not been solved, they made high wall between themselves and comments. There is no hope for me as a customer to go back there again…
We had lunch at this place, simple but good food, nice family run business. Unfortunately the worst Chianti I had during my time in the region.
Friendly service on a summery night of debauchery. Staff was accommodating and understanding of the mood of the larger party.
Wow is all I can say! It is difficult to find bad Italian food in Italy, but once in a while, you find a stunning place that trumps all others. This is one of those places. Off the beaten track, its difficult to find simply by walking by, and once here, its a very nondescript restaurant that belies the quality of the food inside. Or outside, which is the best place to sit- call ahead and make sure you reserve one if the tables on the street. We have eaten everything on the menu on one of the several visits here. The pasta, OMG, the pasta- to die for. Try the Lasagna. Steak Florentine you ask? Let the owner Giovanni, tell you how much your party needs and you will not be disappointed. The wine list is small but not a bad bottle in the house- however, I would let the owner select your wine. And if you are lucky, he will have fried Zucchini Blossoms. If you have never had them before, you will hate me and you will spend the rest of your life seeking these incredible culinary delights. What else can I say? Just to eat here, do not miss it. You can thank me later...
Great food, excellent service
We came here 9 years ago, and decided to come back because we had such fond memories of our last visit to Florence. It was excellent! A bit more popular than I remembered but the food, wine and prices were still as attractive as many years ago. Great service, great food and good prices! Hopefully it will not take us 9 years to visit this great place to eat!
Fairly good food. Try the lasagne and the egg plant parmigiana.
Authentic food, nice service and atmosphere and strong typical Italian espresso.
Absolutely AMAZING Authentic Italian cuisine-108 years old and still going strong!!
A very charming little restaurant in the centre of florence. At first it seems a little weird because of its interior design and wall painting. But the staff is really friendly and the food was also very good (lasagna and antipasti misto plate on the pictures).
Came here with some friends, and the service was good and the waiter could understand English. We ordered many things that were all really good, including shown in the images the pappardelle (wide noodlesand the pici (thick noodles). For vegetarians, you cant go wrong with the ribollita (vegetarian stew). I preferred the pici with homemade meat sauce as the flavor of the meat sauce was uncomparable to most other places Ive been. Would definitely come back.
Amazing food, very fresh. Ive ordered fried mozzarella, parmegiana melanzane, and lasagne traditional. All plates where delicious, but the tiramisu as desert was just incredible. Congratulations for the chef. ;)
A short walk from the centre of Florence. The food here is amazing, the wild boar Ragu was exceptional and the price was very reasonable. Local wine, local food done exceptionally would highly recommend this place.
I was promised the best lasagna in Florence going here. Tears of joy were mentioned in the recommendation. I enjoyed a small portion of decent lasagna quite dry-eyed. No tears of joy.
We had a wonderful dinner here - ordered the chicken & pork mains and portions were amazing! Very flavourful and yummy. The host was hilarious and we had a great time. A little on the pricier side but well worth the money in my opinion.
Best Bistecca alla Fiorentina in Florence. Truly a Tuscan experience. Family owned business that treats customers like family.
This is the place where the locals go; they know they will get amazing food, excellent service in a comfortable environment. I had pappa al pomodoro... Delicious! Melts in your mouth and tastes like italian food looks like in movies, simply amazing. Go there, relax, feel youre traveling back in time and enjoy their delightful food
Excellent authentic Tuscan dishes, great house red wine and friendly staff. Menu is seasonal. Try the fried artichokes in winter! A place you will find great mix of locals and visitors.
This restaurant does not deserve any stars . The service , food and the host was rude and had no manners at all. The lasagne ordered was cold and bechmel was sour . The pasta ordered did not taste good so to be nice we order another dish to replace it . Since the pasta was not touched or eaten the host still added the price to our bill including cover charge . The service was so atrocious that I would never recommend or come to this place again . Price of the dish was not worth the money at this place . In other words as tourists the lady/ host just took advantage of the situation even after we were polite and said we will order something else.
Tasty, good service, bit overpriced as for me. Pepposo, two sides (roast potatoes and mixed salad), cheese plate(small), 0.5 house wine, 2 coffee and dessert - about 55 euros. Service is friendly but a bit unattentive. You can pay with credit card.
Typical Tuscan recipes, good selection of wines. Sensational "Fiorentina" steak. Cosy location, not recommended for large groups.
Wasnt expecting but it was a treat. Nice food, nice service, lovely traditional place... Nice wine. Will return next time in Florence!
Amazing food and great service! A little off the main road but thats what makes this place a little extra special. Great selection on wine and the wide variety of specials that has an option for everyone.
Friendly staff and Good solid food here. Probably the best panna cotta Ive had so far. Very tasty! The Fried zucchini flowers and Lasagna were nice too.
Had the t-bone steak Fiorentina style. Absolutely amazing. Decent prices.
Highly recommended the T-bone steak, its tender and very juicy. But the chicken chop is just normal.Visit this restaurant if you want to have awesome steak in Florence:)
My wife loves this place, the Papparadell is to die for! If you have a large appetite or have a larger group of three or four, the T-bone steak is the way to go! Order it medium to medium-well. Anything less and it will be raw near the bone. Too thick a cut for any shorter cooking time (it is huge). The service is perfectly Italian. Eat slow and enjoy the atmosphere.
Typically Italian food, delicious taste, friendly staff, great wine :)
Really nice find. Very cosy. The waiter was super friendly and we felt very welcomed. Food was excellent. Will definitely go back here.
No way in hell. The food was below average, we both had pasta, you find way better food in many places in Florence. The atmosphere is sad, really - no music, you see the cook, he seems bored and as he doesnt want to be there. I ordered from the daily specials. The parsley is not fresh, the pasta itself not good, the mushrooms were not cooked properly and the overall quality was poor.
If you look for a local Italian experience, where you can take your time having diner with nice dishes, and service wanting to please its guests...Thats the place. We had great time. Thank you
A small typical Italian Trattoria. Excellent food and similar service. They have a very good inexpensive Chianti recommended by the owner. A place to eat if you like Tuscany food.
It is a very cute, very cozy place. In the streets it might look like others but this one was different for me because for the first time in 10 days I found a place that makes good lasagna and pasta. I will stop by again before I leave Florence.
As an Italian who has regularly been visiteing Florence for the last 20 years, Pallottino has always been my favourite restaurant in town. Highly recommended! Excellent food, reasonable price, and authentic atmosphere! I couldnt recommend it more.
Best Italian meal we had in Florence. Great pasta, friendly waitress with limited English.
My family and I had such a great experience at Pallottino! You arrive to see the menu hand written in the front of the restaurant, letting you know that this will be an authentic experience of Italian food and wine. Their pours of the house wine were quite generous, starting the evening off on the right foot. If you take away nothing else from this review, remember that YOU MUST TRY THEIR SAUCES. Please, please, please order a dish that comes with sauce - lasagna, spaghetti, whatever your favorite pasta on the menu is. I sampled three different pastas around the table and the sauces on each were amazing - I would have loved to ask them what went into each one. While the dessert menu looked tempting, make sure to check out the gelateria next door for some unique flavors and a cheaper way to get your dessert fix.
