1 am Wife pickup at Bologna Airport. Long flight , she was starving, I found this place is open to 3 am and only a 7 minute drive away. Trattoria Mulino is the single best place I have eaten at since I have been in Italy (4 months nowand Ive been all the way from Rome to Turin to Milan to here. Its small and tucked in at the end of a very narrow road . The waiter spoke awesome English and recited the entire menu with great detail of every dish. Place is full of character , food is super delicious and the perfect welcoming first meal when arriving to Italy and every other day for that matter ! Bravo Trattoria Mulino !

Great place, the food was amazing and the staff was super helpful. I dont speak Italian and they managed to explain the menu to me in English.We loved it and will definitely be back when in Bologna.

Amazing place to eat in Bologna. Great service and an overall great experience as a group of 6. Even vegan options was not a problem for the chef.

Trattoria tipica bolognese, frequentata da Bolognesi e questo già vi fa capire che è un posto di qualità.Il personale è sempre stato molto cordiale, il nostro tavolo era in veranda e ci sono anche molti posti allinterno.Abbiamo ordinato dei balanzoni da leccarsi i baffi, stessa cosa per i tortellini al tartufo. Come secondo abbiamo diviso una cotoletta bolognese, anchessa ottima.Consiglio di prenotare perché è un posto molto frequentato.Prezzi onesti ed in linea con la qualità dei prodotti. Consigliato.

Fame a tarda ora? Bene, chiamate questo posto e vedete se hanno posto, dato che è aperto fino alle 3! Ovviamente è buono a tutte le ore.. Il posto è carino. Siamo andati in quattro, abbiamo preso un primo a testa. Il menù è accattivante. Ogni primo (li ho assaggiati tuttiera veramente buono e le porzioni abbondantissime, sono una buona forchetta ma ho faticato a finirlo! Ci torneremo senz’altro.Consigliata la prenotazione.

La migliore esperienza gastronomica mai avuta a Bologna! Unampia offerta di antipasti sfiziosi al buffet, primi abbondanti e da goduria a ogni boccone (consiglio assolutamente i balanzoni ripieni di ricotta e mortadella con mascarpone e salsiccia e le tagliatelle allortica con ragù bianco di scalogno, pancetta e pecorino). Tutto il personale è stato super gentile e disponibile, sul finale ci hanno anche offerto degli ottimi amari. Prezzi bassi e inferiori alla media. Qualcosa mi dice che ci torneremo sicuramente e che abbiamo anzi trovato il nostro posto del cuore/palato qui a Bologna 💯

Era parecchio tempo che non venivo, ma si riconferma uno dei posti migliori nel circondario di Bologna, un rapporto qualità prezzo molto difficile da trovare così vicini al centro. Vasta scelta di primi e tutti ottimi, anche le carni ottime è una cotoletta alla Bolognese strepitosa. Da provare sicuramente. Prenotate con largo anticipo.

Una vera trattoria emiliana. Mi sono recato in questo luogo perché è rinomato per le ricche pietanze e devo dare atto che è così per davvero. La trattoria è piccola divisa in diversi spazi, accogliente rustica, subito è come sentirsi a casa. Lantipasto molto ricco vario è esposto allingresso, è possibile scegliere qualsivoglia ed è essere serviti oppure richiederlo a tavola come antipasto misto. Il menù vive nella persona che ti accoglie a tavola. Vengono ben esposti i primi e i secondi della casa e consiglio vivamente i Balanzoni e le tagliatelle verdi e di secondo la loro specialità è la tagliata fredda oppure il filetto alla Wellington, tutto delizioso. Suggerisco di prenotare in largo anticipo. Purtroppo non cè un parcheggio apposito ma è possibile sostare lungo la strada senza alcun problema. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo. Prenoterei tutte le sere. Complimenti al proprietario e ai ragazzi per il servizio lattenzione e la preparazione.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Bologna!Outside the city, typical food and cheap price for the portions of food that they give you.If you’re looking for something typical, this is the right place for you!But don’t forget to reserve a table.. it’s always FULL!It was a surprise for me the first time I tried them, but also the desserts are amazing!Cheesecake is my favorite, but if you want to stay in the traditional menu you have to try “mascarpone”, believe me!

I came here on 3/9th in the evening. The outside was nice, even if the parking ls small. The inside was very nice too, and the restaurant was made in a windmill, wich makes sense, as windmill in Italian is "mulino". The size of the place is big, and the whole structure is on the terrain floor. Outside there is a small courtyard, nice as well. Even the food is really good. The only bad thing is the assence of the menu, but here you can order anything. I ordered tortellini, they were very tasty. I think this restaurant is really good. The food arrives fast.

Wonderful place for tradition cuisine. Pasta dishes are great and try to get the tris in order to taste some more. Cotoletta is a great challenge to finish not because it aint great but because its bigger than your plate! Great selection also at the antipasti buffet both on cheeses and on cold cuts. We brought friends from the USA and they had a wonderful time and promised to come back visiting only if well bring them back here. You need to reserve well in advance.

Definitely one of the best places to eat in Bologna. At the Mulino Bruciato you can find both typical food and every kind of twist on the tradition. It is super affordable, the staff is incredibly friendly and service is quite quick. They have a very high variety of food from the more extravagant pasta pldishes like "caramelle Al radicchio trevigiano e speck" to every cut of good meat. Also, protip, definitely order a "mascarpone", a traditional Italian desert which has been mastered in their kitchen.

One of the best restaurants in Bologna. It serves local dishes which are absolutely worth the money. Reservation is a must.

Its a Must when you come to Bologna, not easy to reserve a table, wonderful food and Price!

Food was exceptional. I recommend skipping the appetizer buffet, not because its not good, but so you can have space for the pasta and meat plates. The primi and secondi are so delicious and flavorful. The servings are very generous too. I struggled to finish everything even though I was so full already because I felt that it was such a shame to let such delicious food go to waste.

This is the nicest place we ate on our trip to Italy! The staff is very friendly, the food is exceptional. They have a special antipasti table, you can have whatever you want on your plate for 5 euros. Practically they dont have a menu, they prepare whatever you ask for!
