One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Everything was perfect - the service, the food, the wine, but above that it was just a great atmosphere and a very fun place to spend a Saturday night. Couldnt recommend it any more!

Amazing food and very attentive staff. We had Cinghiale and ossobucco, which were both perfectly cooked, the meat just melting in your mouth. Highly recommend their deserts as well, especially their mascarpone and cantucci con vino Santo. A 2nd visit is guaranteed.

Italian run restaurant close to tourist area. We booked reservations a month before but they didn’t easily have our reservation available but still had a table for us. There was a couple tables like us also they didn’t have but they all got seated. End story, book a reservation and have documentation of it as worth to come eat here. Favorite dish was orecchiette , highly recommend many dishes and to come eat here.

Quaint and cozy restaurant a little off the busy crowded streets. This restaurant is the most memorable for my family as the florentine steak, pasta, osso bucco and tripe were all melt in your melt tasty! Oh, and the service was impeccable too!

My Girlfriend and I visited here today on a Monday where it seemed everything else was closed. The food was incredible, very fresh and tasty but the staff were the real highlight making us feel so welcome and creating a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. We will be recommending to everyone we know!

Run, don’t walk, to enjoy the best experience for food, service and genuine Italian hospitality. The food was inspirational and the owner, Alessandro, along with his staff made our evening very memorable. The cinghiale, fresh truffles (grated before our eyes on the best burrata we’ve ever had), steak, and fresh pasta were all the best we had in Florence. Ask for a wine recommendation and you won’t be disappointed either. If you order steak, you might see the Italian Salt Bae show up at your table!!!!

I left here a changed woman. God themself is clearly blessing this restaurant. No one should live or die without eating the food at Il bargello. All other food will now taste like dirt. Alejandro is an angel that suggested the truffle pasta. I will forever be indebted to him. Also, highly suggest the truffle burrata and my husband is currently still crying over his Florentine steak. The only regret you could have in life is not eating here.

The staff are so sweet and the food is great. We tried osso bucco and the Florentine steak, which were both delicious.

My partner and I have been travelling through Italy (Cinque Terre, Lucca, Rome, Florencefor two weeks and this is easily one of the best meals weve had so far. I was excited to finally try the Florentine style steak and it was absolutely magnificent. My partner had the vegetarian riboleta and it was fantastic as well. The service was the best weve received on our trip. Everyone was so kind and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Highly recommended!

The food and company here make you feel like you’re home away from home. Florence steak is DRY AGED beef , aged for 34 days. WOW. Highly recommend getting it medium rare. Also, finishing off the meal with their pistachio mascarpone made from fresh cream makes any foodie’s palate wanting more. Thank you to the staff for an incredible experience! ❤️

Real Italian food! Not tourists at all. The staff was very nice and the dish was incredibly delicious. I got a wine recommendation and limoncello for free at the end. Brilliant plate to have dinner!!!

My fiancé and I went here on the recommendation of a fellow traveller and it lived up to every expectation and then some! The steak was the best steak we have ever had and the service was incredible. The owner made great recommendations and gave us so many drinks and things to try on the house. I wish we had stayed in Florence longer so we could go again!

The best dinner experience we have had during our Italy trip so far! From the start until the end. True Trattoria experience, extremely delicious food and excellent serviceWe started with Buratta with truffle (very delicious choiceand had the company of tasty Rosé and Chianti riserva. We continued with home made fresh pasta with truffle (I need to highlight that the truffle portion was very generousand ossobuco (if you are not vegeterian, but the bisteci portion is too much for you, consider ossobuco seriously 😉). To finish, we had very delicious mascarpone with pistachios (if they still have it when you visit, don’t miss!!).We also very much liked the atmosphere; felt like home and authentic as well. We are sad that we discovered this place only on our last night. But it will be our first dinner for sure when we come back to Florence

This is a wonderful trattoria right in the city center. The food is great, typical food from the Firenze region, great flavors and fantastically cooked.The staff was absolutely amazing. They are friendly with those elegant manners that fiorentini people have. And Alessandro knows how to treat his guests. Well done to all of you, keep on doing such a great job!I recommend this place 100%, not only because of the food but because of the people that work in this trattoria and make your experience so wonderful.

Excellent place, delicious food . I have eaten dinner here twice. The ossobucco is perfect and the best carciofi fritti with a light crunchy batter and perfect artichoke inside. This is a family run place with people who take great care and attention with their cooking. Very genuine and welcoming.

Sometimes you see good reviews for places, go there, and think to yourself, am I in the same restaurant everyone else went to? The waitress was miserable, couldnt get a smile out of her if shed won all the Ferraris in Italy. Food was just so bland. Charged €2 each for dry, flavourless bread which came with NOTHING to enhance the flavour. Main was one slab of microwaved eggplant lasagne. Nothing with it whatsoever to enhance or add to the flavour...i mean, would some sort of side have been that much to ask for? Asolutely nothing to rave about. A €5 euro side salad which was just some chopped lettuce and a few bits of shredded carrots and tomato. Honestly some Italian restaurants just do not care about providing good food. Only pro was the house red being €9.

Outstanding home made food, by Nona, who you can thank as you pass the kitchen window. She will be hard at work creating dishes that are perfect at a very fair price.Her granddaughter is a wonderful hostess.They are a small diamond in the rough and deserve more praise.
