An Irish pub with bar staples & daily specials from a carving table, plus a patio & WiFi.
This place was great w a great menu and and the staff made us feel welcome from the time we came in the doors.
Trali hosted our wedding on Thursday Oct 6 in the library room and we couldnt be happier! Allison, Dave and the wait staff were great! They took great care of us, very attentive, food was great and our guests were very happy! Huge thanks to all the staff there!!
Always great drinks and food, AND service
Took my granddaughter (we explore different foods weekly). She got fish and chips I had the rueben, wife had bangersn mash. Food was great in all counts. Service was great and it was on a busy time of the day. Will definitely be back, lots more dishes to try.
Went on the later side so only a pub experience. Bartender was nice and there was a good selection of local craft, as well as the traditional imported beers.
The staff is always professional, the atmosphere is beautiful and the food is amazing. Hands down one of my favorite places to eat. I would and have recommended Trali to multiple friends.
Super cute Irish decor. Always amazingly good and fresh Irish food. The bangers and mash and shepherds pie are our go-to. The fish and chips are amazing as well, just be sure you are hungry!
Delicious shepherds pie and a perfect pour on my pint of Guinness. Trali is a very comfortable pub, with friendly staff that ensure every visit is great!
Its was outstanding. The shepherds pie and the Reuben sandwich were excellent. We were treated very well. Great service and smiling faces. We ate outside and it was wonderful. Thank you for a great eating experience. I very highly recommend this place to eat.
Cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff and amazing food. Tried the scotch eggs which were delicious, mustard had a little kick but not too much. The Boxty Potatoes with Corned Beef was very good. The flavors blended perfectly!
Went there for dinner tonight and the service and food were both great! Started off with Scotch eggs, corned beef egg rolls and beet salad. We had shepherds pie and fish and chips for entrees and closed out the meal with the toffee pudding and chocolate chip bread pudding. We shared all the food and everything was delicious!
Great atmosphere, nice staff, and exceptional food. Beet Salad - Scotch Eggs - Shepards Pie - Fish & Chips - Irish Egg Roll - Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding - Sticky Toffee Pudding, all top notch.
The staff was very friendly and the host very welcoming its like any pub if you seen the movies if you ever been to a real pub in the Irish land this is a very close resemblance to it. The food is great they keep it simple they keep it real they keep it honest. So when you go in and you get your waiter or waitress make sure you ask them their suggestions and recommendations. This way you know what youre getting and you wont be disappointed in it. One of my co-workers thought they knew what they were doing ordered a meal it look like slop. But it tasted really good you just have to close your eyes think of a shepherds pie blown up. Thats what his look like but as you can see from my pictures my meal was quite nice because I asked the staff explain to him what I was interested in he made great recommendations. If youre in the area definitely check it out you will not be disappointed.
Great local music, locally sourced ingredients makes amazing meals, and such a great environment. We will always try to be back on fridays... thanks for always making a great night!
Very friendly staff! Very welcoming! They deff took care of us, and had great recommendations. The harp lager was a nice beer. Deff going back
Watched the 150th Open and ate some great food and Guinness. Forgot to take a picture. Youve all seen a Guinness tho. It was good. Go there
This place was spot on. Wish I took a pic but didnt. The fish n chips was meaty and crispy. The kids had the trali burger and they loved it. Wife ate all of her shepherds pie. We had the irish egg rolls for appetizer and man they were tasty. Very impressed.
My wife and I always try to grab a date night once a week or biweekly at least. Wake County is a great place to keep it fresh as there are so many venues!! We decided on Trali, Brier Creek , this evening. The entrance was very classic and inviting, clean. When you open the double doors its like youve arrived for a pint and a meal at an old Irish Pub. The colors, ambiance, upholstery and quaint privacy around every corner makes for a most pleasant experience. The decor and even the fireplace and beautiful bar is just perfect. I would say the food seems to be cooked by someones Irish grandmother! From the apps to main dish and dessert....friends, this place is all original. If you cant make it to Ireland, this is definitely as close as you can get to the real thing. Please check them out, for any occasion, even if its a pint and dessert. Btw.. shout out to the Scotch Eggs.
The food was fantastic and authentic, and the staff absolutely contributed to the at-home atmosphere. It felt inviting as soon as we walked in the door, and that was simply reinforced by the fantastic staff. Ill definitely be back.
Nice bar staff with good beer. It’s a great looking pub and a fun environment that we did enjoy. The food was inexpensive (I thoughtand kind of tasted that way. Sorry guys, but this was not the “Best Ruben I’ve ever had”. Frankly, not the worst either: we are Ruben snobs, truth be told and anything that isn’t on dark rye with all the accoutrements and grilled in butter isn’t making my “best of” list.Which is not to say that we won’t be back: we have to try the shepherds pie after all!
Food was great ! Very fast, flavorful, food. Great drink good selection of local bears and imports. Staff is great very personable.
The corned beef and cabbage was good! The cabbage could have been cooked more, but that is probably just me. The service could have been better, but I dont blame any wait staff for being grumpy these days. ❤️
We had a lovely meal with shepherds pie and Scottish salmon, while sitting outside in their gorgeous patio. A pint of Guinness, excellent service, what more can you ask for? I love this place!
Tasty food. Friendly staff. Parking was a bit of a challenge.Suggestions...Dont cut the scotch eggs in half before serving.Put quantity of appetizers on the menu. Irish egg rolls as an example came out as 3 when the server told us 4.
What can I say about Tráli? Unfortunately, I dont live near here, so I cant make it a regular place to go. When you walk through the doors, you feel like you belong. After traveling to North Carolina about every other week, I was lucky enough to visit here 7 or 8 times. The people are friendly, and the food is very good. You also tend to see the same faces greeting and serving you. Lisa, Kevin, Rob, and Joe all do a great job and make a good experience, great. If you like drinks, the Honey Maker is a must-try. I was slowly working my way through the menu and unfortunately didnt get to try everything. I think the Galway Bay Chowder and the Smoked Irish Salmon became my favorites. Bangers and mash. Potato croquets. Great corned beef. I could go on. If youre in the neighborhood, definitely drop in and give them a try. I dont think youll be disappointed. As Kevin said, "We try to make this feel like a home away from home", and Ill say they do a really good job of it. Sláinte!
Great food but truly lousy service. Our server Joe had as much enthusiasm as a rock. No refills on drinks. Plates from appetizers abandoned on the table. He literally let us shuffle them to make room for the dinner plates when those came. Again, great food, but it’d be easier to eat out of styrofoam takeout containers than to dine in and be invisible.
Food and prices were good. Service was horrible. Waitress ignored us most of the night, cleared off our table when we went to restroom without asking if we were finished since we were staying for the band. We will come back again, but not with her as our server. We will ask for one of the guys, they seemed to be a lot nicer and attentive to their customers than she was. Band was good, but way too loud. Couldnt understand what he was singing, hopefully next time will be better all around. Also when I made the reservation, I mentioned that it was a birthday dinner. Nothing was said or done, which was fine with the birthday boy. But it would have been nice to at least acknowledge it.
Would have preferred outdoor seating but didnt want to wait. Inside is loud but it is a pub so not unexpected. Food was fine. I ordered a panini and it seemed to have been grilled in a pan like a grilled cheese. We have eaten here a number of times and have yet to find a meal we love. Service is good but this may not be the right restaurant for our family.
So good, delish filling food & good people!!!
Amazing food and waiters!! We had a outdoor seat and love the atmosphere in the pub as well. Will definitely go again. The cost were very reasonable as well.
Trali is easily my most visited restaurant in the Briar Creek area. The pub atmosphere makes you feel right at home, and I am personally a huge fan of the décor; books, art, odds and ends, etc. Sometimes I feel as though Im visiting a study and having a beer, which is priceless. The menu is beautifully simple and there are revolving specials, comfort food galore and a great beer list. Ive never been disappointed with any of my meals here and neither will you. If you enjoy a comfortable, enjoyable meal this is the place for you.
Some of the best Irish food Ive ever had.
The atmosphere was really cool. It looks like a cool Irish pub.The pricing was decent on most stuffI tried the Mussels and Sausage. The mussels were cooked wonderfully. They were not chewy at all. The Sausage was good. I just wished for a little more. The bread had some great taste. I do wish it was toated some. I guess my biggest complain is with the broth. It tasted wonderfully but they did not strain the mussels. I had small chips of the mussels shells in it so I had to stop enjoying it.
Great service, great atmosphere. But, something seems wrong since the last time I was here. My best guess is they are struggling and its impacting the food. Im truly sorry to say this. Image : Specials menu item. Salmon risotto $18 Sliver of salmon... and artistic sauce designs in an Irish pub. Very strange imo.
Best Reuben I have had. Even the rye bread was out of the park good. This could be your go to once you try it.Couple that with one of the most authentically Irish spots around, and you have a winner. Dont miss it when in the area. And dont be jealous that this in my backyard.
I loved my beet salad. My scotch eggs were delightful. Dessert, I was not too fond of and Im a BIG DESSERT person. Honestly, only place in the area to get scotch eggs, trust me Ive looked.
Went here to meet with friends for lunch. My friend and I ordered Fish and Chips, the fish was delicious, unfortunately the chips were overdone to the point they looked burnt and taste like it too. My husband had the bangers and mash, he really enjoyed it and is still talking about it. My husband took his Maria Guinness Fuit Cake, home with us and he just ate it (complaining that it was very hard, dry and taste like it was old and it was hard to get the fork into it). I ordered the cheese cake to go (wish I had taken pictures of the food). I gave Trali Irish Pub 4 stars because the fish was great as was the bangers and mash.
Cool little spot. Had the salad and half order of the Shepherds Pie....sooooo good! Glad I dont live here or else this might be my go to Irish pub for Irish food! Ill be back when I return to Raleigh.
My experience is based on a take-out order, so Im sure eating there would have made the experience better, or at least I would have hoped so. But its obvious they have work to do on the take-out order presentation and quality.I placed our order at 8:09 p.m. for an 8:45 p.m. pickup - I only ordered the large fish and chips meal. I arrived inside at 8:43 p.m. and received my order within a minute, so that was nice. They use the same type of box Bojanges/KFC uses for takeout, or at least thats what the fish and chips was in. This type of take-out container wouldnt be an issue normally at those other restaurants, BUT Trali apparently put the hot-out-of-the-fryer food inside the box, then sealed it inside a closed plastic bag. So when we got to the car, we realized the box was essentially falling apart due to the insane amount of moisture on the box and any amount of weight on the box (like a handjust made it start to flatten. So we had to be extra careful in traveling with the box to prevent it from completely falling apart on us. Even the outside had parts already peeling away from the moisture. The food also wasnt fresh when we picked it up and we ended up throwing it in an air fryer to crisp it all back up. Im pretty sure my order was sitting there for a good 10-15 mins before our pick-up time. Theres no way that amount of condensation would have been on the box had it not been sitting there for an extended period of time. There was a specific reason why we picked a pick-up time 30+ mins after the order was placed. We didnt want our food sitting there for too long before we arrived after running another errand in Brier Creek. So it was disappointing to spend that much on food, only to end up putting it the air fryer to make it edible and not mushy. And since their kitchen closes at 9, its not like we could just take it back in and have them remake it. So we sucked it up and just decided to reheat instead, but that should never be something a customer is made to do when picking up directly from a restaurant (ordering through other services, I get). That being said, the fish has potential and Im sure it would be great tasting if we had ate it there. The batter wasnt covering one side of two pieces of fish (see pics), and thats what makes beer battered fish taste so great given cod is a pretty bland white fish by itself. The tartar sauce was very good though, so that helped give the fish some flavor with the missing batter. So my advice is to maybe avoid doing take-out from Trali since it seems theyve lost the early-pandemic quality service everyone raved about. But Im sure youd have a better experience eating at the restaurant. We may give this place another try in the spring when we can safely eat outdoors and not freeze. The inside is very cozy and Irish pub-like, so I have to give it 5 stars for atmosphere. It alone made me want to return another day.
The shapers pie was delicious and the chicken welly were delicious. Note: the pie half size is very small.
The food was absolutely delicious. We got a half order of the fish and chips, half Shepard’s pie, and a Chicken welly, so that we could try a little of everything. HIGHLY recommend these three dishes, the sheppards pie might be the best I’ve had. Afterwards, we both got desserts. Chocolate molten cake and the butter&chocolate bread pudding. It doesn’t stop there. What’s even better than the food, was the service. Excellent food, fantastic service, great prices. We will definitely be coming back. Will definitely Highly recommend this gem
amazing & efficient staff, delicious food & welcoming atmosphere. Irish Egg Rolls (10/10), Buffalo Wings (7/10), Smoked Salmon Panini (7/10and Shepards Pie (8/10). would definitely recommend & will be returning.
Wonderful place. I had a small portion of shepherds pie, banger with a side of mustard, and a pour of Jameson Caskmate. Rob the bartender was serving me, friendly fellow and very tentative. The banger and mustard was so good, maybe the best Ive had. Really hit the spot. Ill definitely return when back in town.
Used their website to order takeout for a St. Patty’s Day dinner at home. The website was very easy to use. Of course, St. Patty’s is busy at this place, and there was quite a crowd outside when we arrived. There was a specific tent setup outside for pickup orders, with 2 designated parking spots. Very convenient! Our meal was ready at the time we chose and it was fresh. It was still warm when we got home. This was one of the best ordering and pickup experiences I’ve had recently. Also, the food was delicious. The Reuben with potato salad, and the fish and chips hit the spot.
This was our first visit here. The decor is very, very nice. Our server was super friendly, and she explained everything to us and recommended the traditional/specials which are typical Irish dishes. We order potatoes skins and they were good except they were tiny potatoes, not the traditional bake potatoes size, more like twice the size of a baby potato, so I was kind of disappointed, but the flavors were there, so it makes up for the size. Moving onto the main courses, we had the Salmon Panini, which was very salty, even though we took all the capers out, it was still salty, I would encourage them to add some tomatoes or avoid the capers, smoke Salmon is already salty, you dont need to add more salt in this case the capers to the sandwich. Next was the traditional fish and chips, I really dont know what to make of it because it was either over fried or an old dry the fish, it crumbled every time you wanted to dig into it even with the batter, I have never had such a disappointment with fish and chips, the fish was definitely hard and dry. We also tried the shepherds pie and it was good, it had just enough sauce and it was really hot! Thats a first because most places cant get the temperature right, but this one was great! And our last dish was the Lamb Burger, it was ok, nothing special but kind of dry as well, it needed some sauce or tomatoes or something, because the meat wasnt juicy at all. Flavorwise, it was okay.I might go back and try something different the next time.Overall, nice place great service, food... Hmmm Neither good neither bad, Ill have to try it again, maybe there werent having a good day in the kitchen...
I had the fish and chips, the fish was perfectly fried and the coleslaw was a nice twist. My spouse had the Reuben which was nicely done as well. Dont forget to have a Guinness.
Based on the owners reply this review deserves a downgrade to 1 star. I see why the service is so bad now. All the traditional Irish dishes but everything is just ok. I personally thought the items were previously frozen and not freshly made on site. I would say if you want authentic Irish pub dishes look elsewhere. Service was slow.
The wait staff was wonderful. Our waitress was not trying to rush us out even though we forgot that they were closing early since it was a Sunday. And even when we asked her, she essentially said we could sit as long as we wanted! My favorite thing at this Pub was their selection of ciders. As someone with celiac disease, its rare that I get many options that are different. Generally just a plain cider and a gluten-free beer, if Im lucky. I tried their Pineapple Cider as well as their passion fruit cider and they were delicious!
Great atmosphere and true quality food. Our server Maria was cordial, prompt and took care of everything we needed. Food was simple and of excellent quality. Pigs in a blanket was fantastic. Best weve had. The kids menu only a few options, although the options they have are exactly what kids would want. Chicken tenders, Mac & cheese, etc. Healthy sized portions as well. We left full and happy.
first time tried the little bites menu priced well . steak was good will go again.my friend had the sliced steak hers was medium well came with mashed potatoes and string beans i order the salad with sliced steak mine was medium rare. they have outdoor seating also. from what could tell we were in the smaller dining room there is tables around the bar area and a larger dining room. lot of kids were there they seemed to have enjoyed the food also
