Very good day out, well worth it.

Pleasant experience and old quant taberna

Weve been going to alykes for many years now and always look forward to the trainaki but this year we felt a little let down. The whole thing needs updating but without losing any of the charm.

Picked us up to take too a Greek night..

The train trip was really good. Paul our guide told us a lot of interesting things about the area, people and Greek culture. I would highly recomannded.

First port of call from panos hotel very nice food great service.

Great little tour with lovely views, visit to the museum and church then lovely lunch in the taverna. The wine and food were really good and Spiros the owner is quite a character. Seemed determined to send people on their way tipsy with his wine 😜 only regret is we didnt buy some to take back to the hotel with us 😂 definitely worth the money and was quite an experience.

Vláček je fajn pro děti, pokud nerozumíte anglicky, při prohlídce v muzeu se budete vy nebo děti opravdu nudit, průvodce mluví anglicky velmi rychle, návštěva taverny s ochutnávkou vína asi 1,5hodiny, velmi dlouhé pro děti.

A nice train ride, some modern history, from late eighteen hundreds up to the sixtys, some healing water, small drop of wine, .nice way to spend a cple of hours.

Sadly we had a very different experience to many. All we got was a ride from Argassi to Zakynthos Town with no museum, no sights and no commentary. We just got dumped in the old town and told to come back in 4 hours.Complete and utter rip off!

Love our day out on the train.Gets you out resort , you see the country side absolutely recommended.The Museum was very interesting.The Restaurant they take you to was so so good the wine was beautiful and you can drink as much as you like. What I can remember of it lol .The food was absolutely amazing went for a snack ended up having a two course meal .Met loads of lovely people on train all up for a good laugh and sing song on way home ( I think it’s was the wine talking lol .Top tip don’t leave until last few days of your holiday. You might miss out as it’s very popular. Lots of people turned away. Fills up very quickly.Have fun

It was all fantastic and I agree aspires is a complete legend.The museum of artefacts from the volcano are so very interesting.Hope to go back one day and relive it all

Very good trip, well worth the money.

What a unique and interesting experience. Guide Paul was so full of information and clearly loves the Greek culture he shares with our tour. He is very funny and the history of the place is easily absorbed from his stories. Great taverna in typical Greek village with welcoming staff and great food. I was thrilled to be able to buy local honey olive oil olives and raisins at reasonable prices.

Enjoyed the ride round zante driver spoke in different languages. Was very informative about the surroundings and history of zante

Brilliant excursion enjoyed every minute. Really informative museum visit followed by some lovely wine and a fun filled sing along on the way home.

Co dodat, prostě vláček který s vámi projede ulice městečka Alykes, cesta vede i kolem solných jezer, které však místy připomínají skládku.

Greek night Saturdays trainaki,This has to be the best Greek night we have ever done on our many visits to Greece.We did the day time trip to the museum and realised they did an evening trip.The daytime trip is well worth doing but cant speak any higher of the Greek night.Great food, wine, entertainment, nothing like any other Greek night we have done.Well reccomended you wont be disappointedFive stars night out,!!!!!!!!

Would recommend this to everybody

Great value for money. A tour of Alykeys and into the heart of local way of life. An insight into how self sufficient this community are and how they use old methods to bring us a taste of the real Greece. A Greek night is also on offer. Will post about it soon.

This trip out was the highlight of our holiday. Laughed all the way. Lovely experience at the taverna at the village. Lots of wine and the food we purchased was beautiful. You could buy wine...raisins....olive oil....all from their own vineyards and olives.great experience .will go again when next in alykes

Cute little outing . Our guide paul was great. Full of knowledge and happy to help. Even gave us an amazing recommendation for an evening meal. The taverna was lovely and great hosts. And the village was lovely. Great group of people .

A must if you are staying in Alykes

The restaurant worth visiting but the train rubbish went back to restaurant again really quaint never been a museum just somebodys hoarding complete junk

This is a must do trip ...a tour round the area with a visit to a cultural museum, church and rustic taverna. Friendly informative guide and wine tasting.... brilliant.
