Traditional fishing village - Museum in Tulcea, Romania
The place is nice and the houses are made in traditional style. The weather was a bit windy but was a good time.
Must see
Traditional houses decorated in an old manner, brings back nostalgia from our grandparents houses. Worth the visit if you’re in the area.
The museum of the Danube houses on the three arms of the Danube. A well-kept and welcoming historical monument
Super!!
Fairly disappointed in the food. I had fish chips as I wasn’t very hungry and I just wanted something fishy. My dad had a portion of sturgeon with natural potatoes (boiled potatoes with parsley). The food truly wasn’t up to standard, I can only give it a pass. However, the service was ok and the landscape was amazing.
The food is great - the "sturion storceag" is fantastic. The serving is great, and, even though it takes some time to get the food, it worths to wait - we visited the traditional village museum nearby - overall, a great experience!
Original
Lovely place where Black Sea meets the Danube, great food and views, nice people 👍
Traditional house from Danube Delta!
Great idea! It gives you a good insight of the old way of living.
Very nice visit in Tulcea
Great ripoff! Just look at it from outside, for the inside, hare are some photos.
Nice and clean 😁
Nice place to visit, great food.... but it takes some time (long time!!!!🥱🥱🥱😤)to get your food.$$$
Nice
The idea is beautiful, but unfortunately the implementation is shallow and poor. Every house has exactly the same furniture and there are pieces of decoration that look more like kitsch like small figurines and spanish themed pictures.
The village is quite lovely. You get to see traditional fishing houses from all over Danube delta. Also, near the parking area there is a restaurant with good food.
Not really the best food and best prices, but ok.
Brief but fun encounter with traditional architecture
Amazing initiative from the Local Council. Theres still a lot to improve on the ethongraphic side. Overall it worths the time!
nice fish restaurant
wow! 👍
Spectacular views with beautiful traditional houses arranged in three rows - Chilia, Sulina & Sfantu Gheorghe. Well done!
It is an interesting place. The houses are really nice, but there are some elements that should not belong in these houses.
Traditional houses from Danube Delta. You can enter every house.
We visited on a very hot day, but it was still pleasant. Good that there were some water sprinklers. The houses look very nice and you can also visit inside. Big parking and close to the road. We didnt test the restaurant. The entrance fee was 10 lei.
Very interesting to see.worth the visit
Very beautiful, authentic, its worth visiting.
Amazing place. It a MUST if you want to see traditional romanian houses fully furnished. Brings out old memories from childhood. Very well preserved things from the past.I recommend this place.
Ok
Good things to see about traditional life in Danube delta. And also delicious food!
Nice one, the only down side is that all of the houses have almost the same items inside and those are pretty plain. The restaurant at the bottom of the traditional village is great, 5 stars to that.
A 100% Romanian village, quite beautiful. all houses are almost identical. it can go into everything. the price is 10ron / adult and 5 ron / child. is a fish restaurant near the village, but when events are closed ..... its not always open. its worth getting in if youre on the road
Fishermen village just outside of Tulcea on the route to Mahmudia and Murighiol. Definetly worth a visit. We had the chance and privilege of visit the village alone, if season, on the day prior to Easter and it was fantastic. There are houses from all over the Danube and they can be visited inside and outisde, which makes the trip to each respective area of the Danube all the more interesting. We will definetly return for a visit there and also bring some friends. Photo credit: M. Iacovici
Great place!
If You travel to Tulcea Murighiol Mahmudia, make a brief stop to visit this enchanted open air museum showcasing traditional fishermen houses from Romanian Danube Delta. At the bargain price of 3 EUR per person, you can experience the quiet and scented atmosphere of a traditional Romanian village. At the end of the visit, you may wish to taste a Fishermens lunch at the museums cherhana
Good idea, to bad the restaurant is closed. Maybe one restayrant like Ivan Pescar would be great there. Also some trees would be a nice addition, some local "forest" like in Delta
Nice place. It was interesting! Very friendly people
Very nice. Shows a bit of romanian culture
Nice form the outside!
A nice and educatinal way to spend around 1 hour if you are in Tulcea.
Its a great piece of history, it would be better to have a guide, but the writing on every house helps alot.
It makes for a relaxing walk, and a decent photo opportunity (but for the many lampposts). The house are all identical on the inside, but at least you can enter every building.
Nice place to visit, but unfortunately the interiors of the houses have nothing traditional or true. All have 5 similar items.
Its nice
Great place for tourists, very nice and clean. The village is a beautiful replica of the old romanian fishermen, called "lipoveni". A must see!
Good food
Worst EU money spent that i ever seen! Absolutely nothing interesting to see over there. All of the houses look the same its like someone did a copy paste!
Very cheap place. Nothing worth your money...
